My Heart Will Go On (Enishi songfic)

Enishi Yukishiro sighed as he closed his bedroom door. So far, Jinchuu was going, sort of, as planned. He had the Battosai's girl, and he was in a mild state of insanity. Enishi's hiding place was on a remote island, the Battosai would never find him. Enishi flopped down on the bed, exhausted. He got undressed and pulled the covers around him. For once, his mind was at ease...and his dreams drifted off.

Every night in my dreams, I see you, I feel you

That is how I know you, go on

It was about her. Tomoe, his lovely sister. All that mattered was her. He looked up to her, like a little brother would. She was everything he ever wanted, and being torn away from her was like a nightmare.

Far across the distance, and spaces between us

You have come to show you, go on

But Enishi knew that the time would come where she would leave. Where the "man of her dreams" would take her away. And Himura Kenshin was that man. As soon as she told Enishi about him, he already disliked him. And the more time she spent with him, the less Enishi heard from her.

Near, far, where ever you are

I believe that the heart does go on

Once more, you open the door

And you're here in my heart and

My heart will, go on and on

Enishi then finally heard from Tomoe. She said that she couldn't kill him. She was in love with Kenshin. Enishi's hatred for the man increased. It was her mission to get close to the Battosai and then kill him! And now, she's fallen in love with him.

Love can touch us one time, and last for a lifetime

And never let go till we're gone

He went to see her one day. That's when he first saw Himura Kenshin. He wasn't what Enishi thought him to be, but he still hated him. And when Himura came over to him, Enishi bit him. He than ran into their house and talked to his sister about the plan. But Tomoe said she still couldn't do it.

Love was when I loved you, one true time I hold to

In my life we'll always go on

A few days later, he came to the place where they were supposed to be preparing to kill Battosai. But things went wrong. Enishi peeked through the shrubs and looked at the fight. Himura Kenshin just slain Tomoe. He slashed thorough her, and killed her, along with his opponent. Enishi saw this, and ran deep into the woods. His sister, his only sister, was dead. Murdered. Enishi looked up to her more like a mother than a sister. Now, she was dead. Tears streamed down his face. Tomoe...Tomoe...Tomoe...

Near, far, where ever you are

I believe that the heart does go on

Once more, you open the door

And you're here in my heart and

My heart will go on, and on

Enishi jolted awake. His dreams were going nicely, until bad memories came up. He was surprised to find tears on his face. He wiped them away and got out of bed.

"Oneesan..." he sighed. Her ghost appeared, and like it has always been, unsmiling.

"If you would've just listened to me, you would be where you are now." said Enishi. She said nothing. Enishi went to the window and opened it. The dawns's morning light shone through and everything was at ease. Birds sang in the trees and the wind blew gently, tousling his hair about. Last night's memories flashed before him on the reflection of the sunrise.

You're here, there's nothing I fear

And I know that my heart will go on

We'll stay forever this way

You are safe in my heart and

My heart will go on and on

Enishi looked up at his sister, the sun's rays filtering through her.

"I will always be with you." she said, fading away. Enishi raised a hand to touch her, but she was gone.

"You will always be in my heart, oneesan. Always." said Enishi.
