Chapter 3
The club was very classy, and very well protected. About five guards tried to stop the boys from entering.

Lani- "Ease up, boys. They're with me. The human's my pet." The guards immediately moved to the side, begging for her forgiveness as she glided past them and into the huge room. As soon as she had entered the dark red room, a large, green-skinned, male demon appeared at her side, holding out a cocktail glass to her, which was filled with a thick, red liquid.

Demon- "Talana! You've returned! Here," he gave the glass to her, "Only the best for you, my friend. The blood of a human infant; pure and sweet." Lani took the glass, and sipped at the substance as Lani stared and Kuwabara almost got sick. "So, my dear, does your return mean that you might be interested in investing in my, say, enterprises?"

Lani- "Interested, Morgos? Perhaps... Intrigued enough, I suppose, to take a deeper look at your... enterprises."

Morgos- "Oh ho! Well then, do follow me, but, you had better be leaving your pet here with one of your... companions. We mustn't let it be mistaken for one of my, say, subjects."

Lani- "Of course. One moment, then, if you please." She motions for Yusuke to come with her and Kuwabara to a corner. "Listen, you stay here with the human. Use the communicator. Call the Too-Happy-Grim-Reaper Girl. Tell her to link the toddler-prince's monitor to my transmitter. He'll have his grand evidence. And say no one's real name, got it? Walls can have ears, and eyes as well... Stay here." She strides back to Morgos, Hiei, and Kurama. Together, the four demons left the room, and Yusuke called up Botan on the communicator.

Hiei, Kurama, Lani and Morgos walked sown a hallway and down a "secret" staircase into a dungeon, but it was more like a mad scientist's laboratory. Frightened humans were kept in tiny cages, and were tortured beyond recognition. Body parts were pieced back together and developed into demonic drones. It was horrific. Even Kurama was losing his nerve.

Morgos- "So, Talana, my dear. How do you like it?"

Lani- "Yes, very interesting... But what are they for?"

Morgos- "I am planning, my dear, to implant one of my creations in various major ningen cities. They, in turn, will infect the ningen in those cities, and the infection will spread. Soon, I will have an entire world full of drones. Mindless, Perfect. Their world will be mine. And, it will be yours, if you join me. So, what do you say?" He asked slyly, holding out his clawed hand to her.

Lani- "Sounds like fun." She clasped his hand with a smirk. "How soon?"

Morgos- "Only a month. Here, let's have a toast to our partnership, love." He walked over to a young human girl who was chained to a wall. He grabbed her chin, forcing in upwards, exposing her throat as he slit it open with a small dagger. The dark blood spilled into two crystal cocktail glasses. Morgos handed one to Lani and kept one himself. "Now, to properly seal our partnership..." He took a tiny crystal dagger out of a side pocket of his suit, and cut his palm. A few drips of blood fell into his glass, staining the red with black. He handed the dagger to Lani, who did the same. What Morgos did not see was the color of Lani's blood... it was red, like a human's blood, or the blood of some demons, yet, it had an eerie white sheen to it. They exchanged glasses and drank the mixtures of blood. "No going back now, love. Bound by blood."

Lani- "You misunderstand. My blood happens to be a bit treacherous, it doesn't like being in other people. Very antisocial, you know. It's very, how does one put it.... it likes to destroy and demolish other blood cells. Namely, yours." she said smoothly as she returned to her usual albino form with a tiny, evil smile playing on her lips. "It shall kill you from the inside out, it won't be long. Now just stay there and pray to King Enma that your afterlife won't be hell for too long..." She walked up to Kurama and asked for his communicator. He gave it to her, and she asked for Koenma. The toddler immediately popped up on the screen.

Koenma- "Yes, Lani. I heard the whole thing, and that's enough evidence for anyone, especially the Council. Go ahead." Lani nodded once and clicked the communicator shut, handing it back to Kurama.

Lani- "Well, Morogs, it seems that your fate has been sealed." she said, her face emotionless. "Goodbye." She turned to walk away.

Morgos- "Wha... What?" he started to shake uncontrollably, and, in an instant, his left arm fell away from his body, and continued decaying on the cold stone floor. In fact, his entire body was decaying directly before them. "What in all the Hells? No... no....?" he looked, trembling, at Lani's pale face, searching for something, but afraid to find it. "P- princess?.... M-m-m-majesty?"

Hiei- "What?"

Morgos- "Milady!" he tried in vain to crawl towards her. "Please! Remove your curse! The... royal... plague that... hinders... milady... please....?"

Lani- "You are not worthy of an antidote. Do not ask me for it. I don't have one. There isn't a cure."

Morgos- "But... that means... you're... cursed... to.... di-----" His body collapsed at that exact moment, leaving a disarranged corpse.

Lani- "True," she said, her eyes sad and distant, but her face blank. "There is no cure for my own disease. It devours my body and my spirit more each day. And, yet, I shall not miss life. Unlike you, Morgos, I plan to greet my death with open arms." At that, she walked calmly up the stairs and left the treacherous wastelands of the Western Makai.
