Disclaimer: I don't own YYH.
Um…I have no idea what this is. Just a quick story I wrote while I was bored…and couldn't sleep…I guess in this I'm trying to show the split personality of Kurama when it comes to Touya. I don't even think it deserves a dedication, it's so bad. But ah well, just figured I'd post. Reviews, please!
…………………
"Do you love me?"
The words came from a silver figure standing in the shadows.
Touya narrowed his eyes. "Who are you?" he whispered.
A pair of golden eyes glimmered in amusement. The silver youkai chuckled quietly and began to slink out of the darkness. "Come now, Touya, you don't recognize the one you claim to love?"
The Ice Master backed away as the figure revealed itself. "Kurama..." he gasped.
The youko smirked. "Very good, Touya. Now...answer my question. Do you really love me?"
Touya felt his back press against the wall. He was afraid, even though he knew he shouldn't be. This was Kurama! The fox would never hurt him!
The silver youko moved forward. "Answer me," he said.
"Of course I love you!" Touya exclaimed. As Kurama moved closer, his fear grew, and without thinking he tried to melt into the wall. "I will always love you," he whispered.
Kurama's face hardened. "You lie!" he spat.
"No, I-"
"You say you love me but you don't!"
"I do-"
"Then why do you back away in fear!"
"I-"
"Silence!"
The seed that Kurama had been concealing in his closed fist suddenly exploded to life.
Touya's eyes widened in horror. Twined around the youko's right arm was the Death Tree. "No...please..." he pleaded.
Kurama's golden eyes flashed. "I shall very much enjoy hearing you scream."
"No...Kurama..."
The Death Tree lunged, jaws wide.
Touya felt his skin burn.
"NOOO!"
"Touya!"
The Ice Master's eyes shot open to see emerald-green orbs staring at him. Kurama.
The redhead grabbed his shoulders, trying to steady him. "Touya, what-"
"No!"
Touya shoved him away. "Don't touch me!"
Thoroughly confused, Kurama did as Touya ordered, and sat on the bed staring at the shaken Ice Master.
After a few minutes, Touya had calmed down, though he was still breathing heavily.
"Was it a bad dream?' Kurama asked softly.
The ice youkai nodded, not meeting the kitsune's eyes.
"How bad?"
Touya was silent for a moment. Suddenly he flung himself into Kurama's arms. "You accused me of not loving you," he said, his words muffled by the kitsune's long, tousled hair. "Then you killed me with your Death Tree...and laughed while I screamed."
Kurama stroked Touya's back. "It was just a dream," he whispered. "You know I love you. I'd never do that to you."
"I know," the Ice Master said. "I was just scared...it was so real..."
The kitsune gave a small smile and kissed the base of Touya's neck. Touya automatically leaned his head to the side, allowing the kitsune access to more of his skin.
Slowly Kurama worked his way up the ice youkai's neck, pausing for a moment to nibble his earlobe.
"I grow impatient, fox," Touya muttered softly.
The kitsune smiled. "I apologize...but there would be no fun if I didn't tease."
"Just kiss me."
Kurama brought his face around, his nose tracing a soft line on the ice youkai's cheek. "If you insist," he whispered.
Later on in the night, Touya lay sleeping, curled to the form of Kurama's warm body. The fox, however, remained awake, running his fingers slowly through the Ice Master's hair.
"I love you so much, Touya," he hissed, eyes glimmering gold. "I say I'd never hurt you...but in truth, I don't know what I'd do if you were ever to betray my love..."
He smiled a wicked smile, his demon fangs appearing for a moment. "I hope for your sake that never happens..."
