I've been here before a few times
And I'm quite awake we're dying
And your hands, they shakewith goodbyes
Ah. Another short and somewhat pointless piece. This is just a simple addition to the ending of the movie, before Alex is to leave. As always, nothing of The Crow series belongs to me no matter how much I wish it did. It belongs to the wonderful writers of the screenplay and comics.

The Crow : Salvation
"It really was my fault though. About Lauren ..."
Colour was just begining to grace the horizon now. Briliant oranges, yellows, and pastal pinks danced along the edges of velvety clouds. It wasn't going to rain as much anymore and she knew it. But somehow she was still responsible. In essence, she had killed Alex. She alone had given those filthy cops the information they needed.
"It's not, I told you before. Don't blame yourself for something you didn't cause. I know you never ment for any of this to happen and I'm positive Lauren feels the same way. Shes your sister ; she understands," Alex's lips twisted into a haunting smile.
Lauren gazed over at the patch of sky that was quickly lighting up the heavens. After that sun came up she knew she would be all alone. Alex couldn't stay with her forever, he had to return to Lauren on the other side. Even the crow itself seemed to know. It had perched it's body along the barbed wire fences surrounding the prison.
"I just .. I don't know what to do now. My family is gone and I know it's never coming back," Erin whiped her eyes with the sleeve of her shirt and held back a few tears. Alex leaned forward and quietly pulled her into a comforting hug. He ran his hands down her back and let her regain her composure for a few minutes before he stood.
"You'll find something," he told her and handed back the heart locket. "You helped me and I won't forget." Carefully he closed her fingers around the necklace and guided her hand back to her own heart. "You know I'll always be with you. And I'll see you again sometime too. Not everyone can have a happily ever after, Erin, but sometimes you can edit the story and make it better."
Erin smiled momentarily, then looked down. One of the signs that had been abandoned by the protesters at his execution had caught her attention. In big, bolded letters "Remember the victim" had been fixed to add an "s" at the end.
Remeber the victims. Not only Lauren, but Alex too.
"Hey Alex, look at this," she said and reached down to pick the sign up. She turned to show him but now there was nothing where he had stood. Only the warming sunshine that had broken free of the cloud barrier. Despite that she felt somewhat cold and alone.
If she had looked close enough, distantly into the clouds, she would have seen a crow flying dangerously high for a bird. The blackened feathers dipped into the swirl of white and disappeared into it's welcoming depths. His deed was done. Now he was free again. Free to be with his Lauren forever ..
And I'll miss your laugh, your smile
I'll admit I'm wrong if you tell me
I'm so sick of fights, I hate this ..
So here I am, I'm trying
