This is a 5xR for my very much loved friend, Lisa. I remember this happening in our RPG, but it was one of those things that never got posted due to my lack of organisation. Er, warning, it's absolutely sappy and probably not my best.

"Dance with me?" She was all smiles and happy - almost glowing - eyes today, the day her best friend got married. Wufei had been staying out of her way, seeing her love for dancing, and not really wanting to get dragged out to dance with her. He'd been talking, quite happily, to Lady Une, his boss. Relena, of course, regarded this as not "wedding-like" behaviour, so of course, she'd come to seek her boyfriend out.

"Alright," he said, mock-grudgingly. But he admitted, privately, that he'd probably do whatever she wanted, especially when she was looking at him like that. "But I can't dance like Duo."

She laughed, pulling him with her, "I don't think many people do. Heero's the best dancer here, anyway."

"Just warning you."

"Duo's a good dancer, but you're my boyfriend, I'd rather dance with you," she said, perfectly serious, though with that smile touching her lips that always made him want to kiss her. "Besides, he's gone off to find Trowa now."

He was awkward; beside her he felt like he could barely dance at all, she was so natural, so perfectly suited to dance. But he tried, because she wanted him to. And he had to admit, it was nice to dance with her, have her close to him, show everyone that he was the one she loved, not Heero or Duo or anyone else.

"See, it's not so bad," she said softly, smiling at him. He pulled her a little closer and shook his head, looking around the dancefloor.

"I always feel like people are looking at me."

"They're more likely to be looking at Heero and Quatre," she said, with an impish little smile. "It's their wedding."

They danced just a while more, comfortable and quiet, before he decided he wanted to sit down, and led her off. She sat down with a little 'oof' sound. "My feet hurt."

"That's your fault for wearing those shoes," he said, rolling his eyes.

She just laughed, looking absolutely beautiful.
