Klaus shifted his weight awkwardly from his right foot to his left as he tried to focus his attention on selecting a book. He looked over at Isadora. She was had her back turned to him as she searched for a book regarding the strange tan fungus growing on the ceiling of the Orphans Shack. Klaus quickly averted his attention on finding a book about the tiny crabs that reside on the floor of the shack. When he finally selected a book, he couldn't research it. His thoughts drifted to when he first met Isadora. No matter how dismal the situation, Isadora's presence just made the circumstance brighter. When he was around her, Klaus felt a little fire light inside him that seemed to melt his little orphan heart.
With Duncan, Violet, and Sunny on the other side of the room, Klaus decided that it would be okay to talk to Isadora in partial privacy.
"Isadora, can I talk to you?" Klaus inched closer to the black haired beauty.
Isadora breathed nervously as Klaus closed in on her. Just looking at him filled her stomach with butterflies. Her knees trembled as he took her hand and gently drew her near.
"Isadora, you make me melt inside," Klaus began. "I'd give anything just to hold you while we're here."
"Oh Klaus!" Isadora fell into his arms, bringing his lips to hers. They kissed out in the open for several minutes. The other three orphans were oblivious to it all. Klaus and Isadora smiled at each other. They needed the affection that the other was willing to give to carry on. After being alone for so long… After feeling unloved for so long…
"This way," Isadora motioned with her shoulder to a flight of stairs. "Let's go."
Klaus scooped Isadora up in his arms and kissed her softly on the neck as he carried her up the steps, kicking open the short wooden door leading to Isadora's room. Soft giggles were heard as Isadora plopped on the bed and Klaus shut the door.
A/N: The end. What happens now is up to your imagination!
