Title: Christine's Masquerade
Author: Gabrielle Day
Rating: G…errr…K? Safe for the whole family, lol
Disclaimer: The Phantom, his mask, Christine, etc. do not belong to me.
Spoilers/Warnings: Erm…maybe minor spoilers for the end of the movie/play/musical…but it might not even be noticeable.
Author's Note: Well will you look at that? A fandom poem happened when I wasn't even looking. :-p Seriously though, I had no intention for this to be related in anyway to the Phantom phandom (haha) but here it is. It turned into what I thought Christine might be thinking towards the end of the movie. I hope you enjoy it! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Christine's Masquerade
Our words break
Like bones upon
The rocks we
Throw them on
We find no
End in sight
To this bitter
Masquerade
You hide your
Heart, I hide
My soul from
Your love, yet
Where can I
Go to flee
This rage, this
Masquerade
You say you
Love me, but
I hardly believe
Words from you
Your music is
My only guide
To this haunting
Masquerade
And now the
Song dies slowly
The notes fade
Quickly and vanish
Your hate has
Overtaken your love
For even me
Masquerade
You have rage
And all your
Songs turn to
Blood and fire
Our end has
Come, untimely but
I say goodbye
Masquerade
I may find
In time I
Have my regrets
About leaving you
But you can't
See beyond the
Mask, beyond the
Masquerade
