He was a boy, She was a girl
He was a boy;
She was a girl;
He did not love;
Her emotions were a whirl.
There is a line,
Between love, faithful caring
That line is thin,
And hate not worth living.
One day they met
But not a nice meeting,
From that day on,
They each other went on hating
When they next met
She was very sad
Afterall, it was she first
Who saw her dead mum and dad
As there she sat,
Wearing nothing but black
To her the customs of mourning
Were not taken slack
He looked at her,
And suddenly
He went against his upbringing
And also showed feelings openly
He offered her,
A shoulder to cry on
They became friends
From that day on
They may have been young
But no longer carefree
They became mature without
Feeling at all independent and free
She cast away
Her veil of sadness
And became more like
Her childhood of happiness
Like many good things
Her joy was short-lived
When one day, suddenly,
She found him dead
The look of youth upon his face
Was ever more vivid now,
As if he were back at school
But she could not figure out why.
He had been her only hope
The only reason not to end
Her ripped heart he was now
No longer able to mend
Her black robes and veils
She took to once more
"In these I'll die
And not trouble the world anymore"
She took out a knife,
At her heart it went
Soon she was gone
But not before she wept
"Oh, my Lord,
What have I done
To deserve this
I'd rather be gone"
As it went in
The blood rushed past the knife
Along with it
Went out all the life
Soon all that was left
Were blank stares
On the landing
And on the stairs
So gone were these two
Like Romeo and Juliet
But for these two to mourn
None were left
Of the two
One was hateful
A bad childhood
The other joyful
But that was long ago,
Of them now is left
But a memory not remembered
By us, the deft
Maybe even to this day,
They there lie
Out of our minds
Not even as a lie
Maybe now
They walk in a better place
Up there in heaven
Tying the Lord's shoelace
He was a boy;
She was a girl;
They are now gone,
Out of memory and out of the world.
