Title: "Companion Guild Rules and Regulations"
Summary: Does just what it says on the tin!
Author's notes: This is actually something I wrote to help me with a fic I'm currently writing which has some Companion centred pieces in it. Thought I may as well post it and see what people thought!
Companion Guild Rules and Regulations
A Registered Companion (hereafter referred to as "Companions") must behave with proper decorum at all times.
As per the terms of Companion training, all Companions must stay with the Guild for a minimum of 8 years after training is completed. Failure to do so will result in heavy financial penalties.
A Companion must always be clean and presentable.
A Companion may not curse or engage in unseemly habits whilst in the company of a client.
Companions may not take any form of recreational drugs, bar those allowed by the Guild for client relaxation purposes.
Companions must keep the appropriate emotional distance from clients at all time. If a Companion suspects that their feelings are becoming too involved, they must immediately cease to see that client.
All Companions must pay a 10 Registration fee from every client serviced.
Female Companions must take the stated dose of hormone suppressants at the appointed time each month, to negate the chance of pregnancy.
Should a female Companion become pregnant, she must inform the Guild at once, and a termination will be promptly arranged. Failure to do so will result in the Companion being struck from the Guild register.
All Companions must report to an Alliance hospital every month for a physical check up. Should any problems be found, the Companion will be removed from the Guild register for as long as it takes to resolve the problem.
Should a Companion wish to engage in a relationship outwith the control of the Guild, they must report immediately to the Guild. Their prospective partner will then be subject to physical examination, and must accompany the Companion to their monthly check ups forthwith. Should the partner prove to be unhealthy, the relationship must be terminated. Failure to do so will result in the Companion being struck from the Guild register.
Partners must not be allowed to interfere with Guild business.
Marriage is strictly prohibited. Should a Companion wish to marry, they must consult the Guild. In exceptional circumstances the Companion may be able to take up an administration job within the Guild, thus allowing them to marry.
Any reprehensible behaviour on the part of clients must immediately be recorded on the client register, and reported to the Alliance.
Above all, every Registered Companion must, AT ALL TIMES, be aware of the fact that they represent the Guild, and behave appropriately.
These are the terms and conditions of Guild Registration.
