(AU: /date september 2009\ this takes place before Michael goes to work at Freddy's and crying child is still alive) Michael didn't know how the person he hates so badly ended up with his phone number. Michael thought about blocking his number after he called or texted. Michael sighed, sitting on his bed, doing his homework when his phone rang. Michael answered it and somehow ended up getting talked into coming over to Ethan's house that night.
It was 6:30 now and Michael just arrived at Ethan's house. He debated on going in or just leaving. He decided he'd hang out with Ethan one time and then he'd tell Ethan off.
Michael walked up, knocking on the door. About 2 minutes later Ethan came down and opened the door, "Oh! Hey, Michael. I didn't expect you to come!" Ethan stated
Michael lets out a long sigh. "Yeah guess I did come-" He hesitates before walking in, as Ethan gives a smile.
Ethan shut the door behind Michael, "Well, thank you. I was wondering if you could help me with my Social Studies homework? Mr. Whitlock forgot to give us the pages in our text book and I was wondering if you knew them?" Ethan asked, talking quickly as always
Michael shakes his head. "As If I would know, if he forgot to give you the papers, don't you think he would forget ALL the classes?" Michael asks, giving a small glare to Ethan. "It's not like I'm a genius anyway-"
"Yeah sorry! I was being stupid, wasn't thinking correctly" Ethan sighed and looked down, "Well, can we at least try to find the pages we need?"
"Sure, No promises on 100% though-" Michael says with a sort of snarl in his voice. He follows Ethan to his room and get the homework out. "Ok so, you will try to find the pages I'll write this crap down-" Michael explains.
Ethan nodded, grabbing his textbook, opening it, going to the last pages they had done. Ethan looked over the sheet they had to do. Ethan flipped to page 137 skimming through the page, before writing something down.
Michael looked at him with confusion, then decided to speak up. "Uh, wasn't I the one to write stuff down? It sure looks like you want to do this by yourself cause I haven't got anything to write down yet-"
"Well maybe you're looking in the wrong spots" Ethan opened Michael's textbook, flipping to page 137. There was a small yellow box in the corner of the page with the exact answer to the first question, "See?" Ethan smiled obnoxiously at Michael
In embarrassment, Michael looks at the paper, "uh, sure whatever-" Michael starts writing the information down a bit annoyed at Ethan, thinking to himself 'How in the world did I end up here?'
"Don't get so embarrassed, it's not your fault our forgetful teacher didn't give us the pages" Ethan continued looking, marking a few pages before grabbing Michael's book and marking the same places, "I think those are right but you can tell me off if I'm wrong"
Still slightly embarrassed that he had to get someone like Ethan to get the pages for him done, he quickly skims through each marked page, not saying a word or even making eye contact with Ethan.
Ethan understood the silence and stayed quiet himself. Ethan soon finished and closed the textbook, pulling out his phone, checking his messages, "God, of course" Ethan mumbled
Finally finishing his work as well, Michael looked up to see Ethan on his phone, with an annoyed look on his face. "What's the problem? You look like you've gotten yourself into something stupid-"
Ethan shook his head, "My dad isn't gonna be home until after 1am and I need his help with a project" Ethan closed his eyes, leaning his head against the wall
Michael blinks a couple of times and sighs, he considered that if Ethan went through the trouble to help him, he should do a little something for Ethan. "Uh, I guess I could help? You did help me a bit-" Michael asks, giving another sigh.
"No, I don't think you would know how to make an animatronic" Ethan stated, he was in a special engineering class. He couldn't say he liked it, because it was not his favorite thing to do but it was something.
Having a surprised but eased look on his face, he sorta felt a smile creep along his face. "Well you'd actually be surprised, that's actually something I could do-" he explains, getting up stretching a bit. "So where is it then?"
Ethan stood up, walking out of the room and into the basement. Once they were downstairs they saw a 3 foot animatronic. It was mostly a metal base and wires but it was getting somewhere, "It's not the best-"
Michael walked around it, examining it and he then nodded. "It's getting someplace, trust me i've seen worse-" He explained. He then looked around at the scrap metal for more parts to possibly put on the animatronic. "So what's it gonna do?"
"It's not singing," Ethan laughed, "I'm planning on making it like a personal assistant almost, but that's what I need my dad for. We were gonna work on a code for it" Ethan explained
"I'm not the best at coding but i'll give it a shot, you can work more on the appearance of the thing" He says with an actual smile.
Ethan looked up at Michael, smiling brightly, turning on his computer and pulling up a coding software, "Thank you, your amazing" Ethan walked over and began working on the outside body of the animatronic.
Michael paused for a moment, 'amazing? Never heard that one before-' He started working on the coding of the animatronic, giving it vocals, the helper tool code, and other things. Soon the coding was finished and Michael turned to see how the appearance was coming along.
Ethan was working on the head at the moment. He turned the front part over, accidentally cutting his hand before dropping it, "God!" Ethan shook his hand before it started to bleed.
Michael rushed over to Ethan to check on him. "Ok give me your hand-" As he does so, Michael pulls some bandages out of his pocket and straps them around his hand, putting pressure on it to stop the bleeding. "Dear lord, be more careful next time-"
"Sorry!" Ethan closed his eyes, he was never really one for pain, "I get cut a lot while doing this" Ethan explained, "I'm almost done and then I'll smooth out the edges, and this won't happen"
Michael shakes his head, looking at him. "Jeez make sure it doesn't, you seem like you almost fainted over a simple cut-" He says looking back at the coding. Ethan wasn't the only one who doesn't get cut alot during this stuff, except Michael was a lot more used to it than he was.
"How's the code coming?" Ethan asked as he picked up the part he had dropped and placed it back on the table, Ethan started messing with an old, dead wire, walking over and looking at the computer.
"Inserting the final code" Michael says, crosses his arms in pride. "Believe it or not, this didn't take me long at all!" He saves it as he shuts the computer, turning back to Ethan.
"I didn't expect it too take you a long time, you're pretty smart" Ethan looked down, hiding a smile.
"Heh, thanks I guess, You're doing pretty well over there yourself-" Michael says with his small bright smile. "You could go places doing stuff like that-" Michael follows him back upstairs. "Before I go, don't get cut again-" He laughs. Opening the door to leave.
Ethan rolled his eyes and gave Michael a small shove, "I'll try not to, hey see you tomorrow in Mrs. Johnson's class" Ethan smiled brightly
Michael looks back one last time before leaving. "See ya then I suppose" he shouts from the driveway. Michael couldn't help but notice that he didn't seem to see Ethan as badly as he did before. Seems like one visit changed a lot.
