1I am going to space. Oh yes, that's right. Space. As in Outer Space. NASA came out with this brilliant -so I hear- idea that if someone who sees dead people is sent into space, supposedly said person will see Heaven.

My question is, what if there is no Heaven? Anyways, so I was called to Father Dom's office early Monday Morning. He said he had a job for me. I figured it was something to do with forcing a ghost to move on. Er, I mean helping a poor lost soul move on. I had no idea.

"Susannah," Father Dom said when I walked into his office. "How do you feel about space?"

"Um, it's cool, I guess." What can I say, I'm not an especially talkative person. I was sitting across from where he sat behind his desk playing with some kind of puzzle on a key chain.

"Susannah, please put the toy down and pay attention. I need to talk to you." I obeyed dutifully. "Thank you. Now, I suspect you've heard that NASA is looking for someone to help them with a project. A person that can see the dead."

"Yea?" I was starting to see where this was going and let me tell you, I didn't exactly like the direction.

"Well, I was thinking, don't you think we should help?"

"By 'we' you mean me, right? Because if that's the case, you can forget about it, there's no way I'm going into Space!"

"Susannah, I really think this is a good opportunity. It would provide some much needed information! Many questions would be answered!"

"Well, then why don't you go? You're the one all excited about it!"

"I am in no shape to go, and you know it! And besides, as a priest, I have many duties to fulfill here, and can't afford to be gone that long." He had me there. But I really, really didn't want to do this. Only, He didn't stop there. Oh no, he made it even harder for me. He put on a really sad old person face and practically cried, "Please? Do it for me?"

How could I resist? I suppose it would be a good opportunity. How many people can say they've been to Space?

"Fine, I will do it." I replied after a long pause for thinking. "But you owe me, big time!"

Today's the big day. The day we've all been waiting for. I'm actually in space. Any minute now, my fellow astronaut- woah, never thought I'd say that- will ask me to look out the window and explain what I see.

Who knows? Maybe I'll see a big kingdom, with so many souls and angels and -gulp- even God? But what if I just see Earth. Just clouds, and land, and water? They'll think I can't really see ghosts, even though I passed a special test.

Oh God, here comes an astronaut. He's leading me backwards towards the window. The whole ship is silent. We're all nervous as I close my eyes as he slowly turns me around. Deep breath, then I open my eyes. Oh my God...
