Brilliant. The Dark Lord was simply brilliant. Just when Draco thought Voldemort was going to lay low He comes up with the most brilliant plan. It was practically fail-proof, as long as the situation really was as He explained it. Draco smirked to himself as he readied for bed and the meeting replayed in his mind.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
"Ginny Weasley, sir? As in the sister of Ron Weasley, best friend of Harry Potter?" Draco asked.
"Yes Draco, that would be the Ginevere Weasley I am referring to," Voldemort answered. "As you know, I have been searching for a way to get Potter out of the school, and out from under the eyes of that fool Dumbledore. I have found the way, but you my dear boy, will play a very intricate part in this plan."
"What is it that you need me to do?"
"I hope you remember you second year at Hogwarts, with the Chamber of Secrets?" Draco nodded. "And you are aware that it was my journal that caused all the trouble?" Draco nodded again. "And that it was because it was in the hands of the very Ginevere Weasley we have been speaking of?" Draco nodded again, his eyes narrowing in thought. "Since your father brought that journal back to me, the... connection that I had with the girl has reinstated itself. She and I have been speaking for quite a while now, and her loyalties lie solely with me."
Draco's eyebrows raised in surprise. "Are you saying that the Weasley girl has turned her back to her family? Turned her back on her precious Potter?"
"Yes Draco, when the time comes, that is exactly what she will do. She had wanted to graduate from Hogwarts before she told the world where she stands, but I have been informed that Dumbledore plans to end this war soon, possibly within the next few months. Whatever he has planned, we must strike first. We must strike where it will hurt most."
"And what do I have to do with this plan?" Draco inquired.
"Who does the Golden Trio despise the most?"
"You, my Lord."
"And?"
"Me."
"I already have Ginevere's faith and adoration."
"And you want me to gain hers." Draco stated more to himself that Voldemort. "It would absolutely destroy them. If she held my hand as she walked away from them. Potter has been trying to get her attention since the beginning of the year. If she came with me to Malfoy manor, Potter would surely play the hero, convincing himself she was under the Imperious and come bursting into the manor to save her."
"And then he would be ours. Nothing can stop me once Potter is gone. He's Dumbledore's last hope. Without Potter, the world will be mine, with you and Ginevere by my side."
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
"Yes," Draco though to himself as he laid down to sleep. "It was perfect."
The Dark Lord had told him that Ginevere would be aware of the plan, and that Draco knew where her loyalties lie. They were to become acquaintances and eventually friends. What neither Draco nor Ginny were to know, was that Voldemort really wished for them to become more.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Ginny woke to Tom's voice again. She quietly cast her silencing spell after she found her wand.
"What is it Tom?"
"I just finished up a meeting with the young Mr. Malfoy."
"And?"
"I have a plan."
He preceded to explain it to her as he had explained it to Draco.
"So you want to me leave my family soon? And join you at your side with Draco next to me to lure Harry into a trap?"
"Exactly, my dear."
"You know how much I wanted to finish my schooling..."
"I know. And you will. I have already made arrangements for you to have the best tutors in any subject you wish, once you are residing with the Malfoy's or myself."
"Living with the Malfoy's? I don't know if I would be comfortable with that."
"The choice will be yours. I would provide you with a manor of your own, but I will not be comfortable leaving you by yourself all day and night until things settle down. It will take time for the world to adjust to new leadership. And I am giving you some time to befriend Draco. I want you to be as comfortable as possibly when you are showing public affection for him. I always want you to be comfortable."
"I know Tom. I'm fine with it. Malfoy can't be all that bad if you like him as much as you do."
"Draco has become as important to me as his father. The Malfoy's are one of the few families that remained loyal to be throughout the years. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have you, and that would be horrible."
Ginny smiled. "That is true. I'll owl him, have him meet me tomorrow night. He'd better be nice though."
"Don't worry my dear, he will be wonderful. Or else he'll have to deal with me."
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Draco awoke to the sound of an owl rapidly tapping at his window. He swung his legs over the edge of the bed, placed his feet on the floor, stood up, and walked over to the window. He didn't recognize the owl.
"Who the hell would be owling me at," he glanced at the clock, "6am?"
He opened the window and offered the bird a treat, which it happily ate while Draco untied the letter from it's leg. The bird flew off as he flipped the letter over. There was no seal, it was just taped closed. He pulled the tape and unfolded the parchment.
Draco,
Meet me at the Quidditch pitch at midnight.
G.W
Voldemort must have spoken to as soon as he left. She was willing to help. Ginny Weasley was going to play along in a plan to kill Harry fucking Potter. It was too good to be true. She was going to give them Potter on a silver, no, a gold platter.
"Life is beautiful!" Draco said to no one as he smirked and made his way into his bathroom.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The day has passed normally for Ginny. Breakfast with the Gryffindors, classes, lunch with the Dream Team, more classes, dinner, then bed. Around 11:30pm she snuck out the window with her Nimbus 2006, the newest broom available, a birthday gift from Tom. She had a hard time explaining it to the Dream Team, but after some time they believed her excuse of a rich pen pail in Italy sending it to her.
She soared around the pitch, weaving around the goal posts at breakneck speed.
"You trying to kill yourself up there Weasley?"
Ginny slowed herself as she brought herself to the ground, then approached the man standing in the middle of the pitch.
"Well, considering the situation, Draco, I think we can drop the formalities," Ginny said.
"As you wish, Ginny," he replied as he took her hand and gently kissed the back of it, looking up at her with a charming smirk.
She jerked her hand from him. "Oh, get over yourself. Just because we have to get along, doesn't mean you can pull your, 'I'm better than everyone and I'm gorgeous,' crap with me."
"Oh, so you think I'm gorgeous?" He cocked an eyebrow."
"No, but you think you're gorgeous." His face fell. "Come on, let's go sit." She led him to the wall of the pitch, and sat down, her back against the wall. He followed suit, after slightly hesitating at sitting on the ground in his expensive clothes.
"So, about this whole plan," Draco said.
"Yeah, I think we have some things to discuss."
They continued to talk about Voldemort, the plan, and what they were to do about it until the sun began to reveal itself on the horizon.
"Well, I need to get back to my dorm before anyone notices I was gone," Ginny said.
"That is probably a good idea." They both stood up and brushed themselves off. "This was actually a pleasant night. You aren't as horrible as I thought you were."
"Same to you Draco."
"I hope you wont be offended by anything I say to you in public. We have to keep up appearances, and I'm sure people would notice if I stopped throwing comments your way."
"Oh I wont. And you wont have to cry over anything I say back, anymore," Ginny smirked as she sauntered away.
Draco watched her hips swing as she faded off into the distance. With a body like that, he wouldn't have any problem befriending the youngest Weasley. No problem at all.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
And here's the update! Please excuse any grammatical errors, it's 3am, and remember to review :)
