Spider-Man: LOUD Season 1 Chapter 1
"A Luminary Appears"
Mornings in the Loud House were always really messy. The wait for the shower in the mornings always seemed to get longer and longer. When the older kids moved out however, things got less and less messy, sure you still had the bickering of the younger kids, but with most of the older kids out of the house and having jobs, and in Lori's case preparing to have her first child, everything seemed a little quieter, a little…normal. Lincoln Loud had just gotten out of the shower, he sported a light gray long sleeve shirt, with an orange polo shirt over it, he had blue denim jeans with black and white converse shoes. His hair was snow white, swooped to the side and long enough to reach the middle of his neck, he had three freckles adorning each of his cheeks, and blue eyes that looked as if the ocean had jumped in them. He walked downstairs to find some of his family eating breakfast or watching Wednesday morning cartoons. He walked to the kitchen to greet his father.
"Hey dad." Lincoln addressed him in an upbeat tone. Lincoln was just about as his father now, standing at a nice 5 feet and 9 inches tall (A total 69 inches tall, or 1.75 meters tall). "Hey there sport! I got a breakfast burrito ready for ya on the table." His father looked away from the dishes he was doing to address his son. Lincoln walked quickly over to his breakfast, he was starving. He had skipped dinner last night due to, as he said "having a study group with his friends", but the real answer was far more complicated. He took his first bite of his burrito before looking at his watch, his eyes widened in surprise before scarfing down the rest of his breakfast. He ran to the living room "C'mon guys we're gonna be late for school!" He said in a slightly louder tone than normal. "Aw, c'mon! Can't we just stay for five more minutes?" Asked a now 11 year old Lana Loud. She wore a dark green t-shirt with the hem at the bottom torn, with dirty blue jeans and white shoes with red highlights, and not to forget her signature red cap adorning her head. "In five minutes we'd already be late." Lincoln reminded the young girl. "Oh, okay." Lana said in a downtrodden tone. The rest of Lincoln's sisters went to vanzilla, the family van. Lynn got in the driver's seat while everyone else hopped in the passengers seats, all except for Lincoln. "C'mon Stinkoln get in! We're gonna be late!" Lynn told her younger brother in a slightly agitated tone. "I'll walk, don't worry about me." Lincoln told his older sister. "You've walked to school everyday for the past month and a half!" Lola reminded him. "I know! I just wanna get healthier." Lincoln responded. "Now that's something I can get behind!" Lynn stated in a more upbeat tone.
The van pulled out of the driveway and took off. Lincoln ran to the side yard of the house, between the actual house and the garage. He looked around before he started taking off his clothes. Underneath he wore a red and blue spandex suit with black webbing covering the red. He jumped up to the roof of the Loud house. The suit had a red chest, boots, arms, and mask piece, with blue legs, sides, shoulders, back, and underarm pieces; the black webbing that adorned the red pieces led to a black spider in the center of his chest. While the back blue piece had a bigger red spider. His eyes were giant black triangular pieces with a white interior that could shrink or expand depending on his facial expression beneath. "It's hero time!" He said. He leapt from the rooftop and put his middle and ring finger to the center of his palm and a thin white web shot from a device located on his wrist, it attached itself to a lamppost before he started swinging on it.
Halfway through his commute he heard an alarm from a nearby jewelry store go off. He landed in front of the large window that spread across the store to show off the merchandise on the inside. He spotted two thugs wearing black ski masks and red tracksuits holding handguns to the clerk, who was currently loading money into a large bag. Spider-Man knocked on the window to catch their attention, after they looked at him he waved "Hi, how's it going? You guys seem to be having fun." The thugs turned their guns to the window and started firing. A ringing, buzzing sensation went off in the back of his skull. He side flipped and avoided the bullets coming his way, which broke the glass on the front of the store. He looked at the thugs and cracked his knuckles "Okay, now you've made it personal!" He jumped into the store and sent a flying kick to the chest of one of the thugs, they went flying to the back of the store and hit a wall, falling unconscious immediately. The other thug looked at him and set his gun down and held his hands up in a surrendering gesture. "Good choice." Spider-Man said in a light tone. The cops arrived at the scene to arrest the thugs, and Spider-Man left.
Lincoln entered Royal Woods High School and ran to his Ecology class. He slowly opened the back door and tried sneaking in the back, before his teacher called him out. "Mr. Loud, you are late, again." His teacher addressed him. Lincoln slumped his shoulders and sighed, "Yeah, I'm sorry Mr. Conners." Lincoln took a seat at his desk, situated next to a girl named Stella Zhau and in front of a boy named Chandler McCann. "Do I need to call your parents to talk about your unappealing tardy record?" Mr. Conners questioned. The rest of the class laughed for a short second, "No sir, that won't be necessary." Lincoln answered. "Get one more tardy and I'll have to ignore your wishes." Mr. Conners stated. He then continued on with the lesson on…the water cycle? Didn't we learn that in the third grade? "Hey." A voice appeared to the right of Lincoln, he looked over to find his friend Stella Zhau whispering to him. "What's up?" He whispered back. "Why have you been late to school the past 3 days?" She asked. "I've been walking to school." She looked at him quizzically, "If you've been late from walking, shouldn't you start getting a ride with your sisters instead?" He looked back to the front of the room, "I've been trying to be healthier, and walking is good for you." She sighed and looked back to the front of the room.
At lunch Lincoln sat at a table with his group of friends, one Clyde McBride sitting next to him, Liam Hunnicut across from him, Rusty Spokes to the right of him, and Stella to the right of Liam. "Did you all see that Spider-Man took down a couple of thugs at a jewelry store this morning? I got it on my newsfeed earlier!" Rusty asked his friends. "Yeah but, shouldn't you be paying attention in class instead of looking at your phone?" Responded Clyde. "Ah, school doesn't matter, most of what they teach you is useless anyways." Rusty counters. "Spider-Man is cool, I'm not a huge fan, but I can tell you that he's doing some great things." Stella continued on from Rusty's previous topic. "Girls are crazy for the feller, almost makes me a little jealous." Liam claims. "For real, some girls are crazy for that guy, I'd bet you at least half of the girls that go to this school want his spider babies." Stella adds. Everyone grimaced at Stella's comment. "Speaking of babies, how's Lori's pregnancy going?" Clyde asked Lincoln. Lincoln looked at Clyde and put his hand to the back of his neck, "Well, we haven't seen her in person for a while, but from what dad tells us, from the 50 times he calls Lori a day, it's going pretty well. She's due in three months." Stella smiles "I know it's weird, but I can't wait for that baby to be born, I guess it might just be a girl thing." After Lunch Lincoln and Clyde walked down the hallway to their next class, which they had together. "I'm just saying that if they want to give Ace more villains, they should give each villain a better backstory, and they should be fleshed out." Clyde was talking with Lincoln about their favorite comic book superhero Ace Savvy. "And I totally agree, I'm just saying that we don't need every villain's story immediately, I think some things can be explained later." Lincoln suggests. Lincoln looks ahead and sees a girl walking across the opposing hallway, she wore a yellow cardigan with a light gray shirt underneath, a blue skirt that reached the top of her knees with white knee high socks, black mary-jane shoes, she had her light chestnut hair braided with a small blue boe, the end of her hair reaching her mid-back. She was talking with her friend as she walked past. Lincoln stared at her, just admiring her as she passed by. "Lincoln?" The boy shook a little after getting broken from his daydream by Clyde. "You all good buddy?" Clyde looked at Lincoln with a worried expression. "Y-yeah, I'm fine. Just got lost in thought is all." Lincoln made an excuse, Clyde shrugged his shoulders and they kept walking, Lincoln let out a sigh of relief.
Later that night Spider-Man was perched on the edge of a tall building, feeling the cool May air. He took a deep breath in, before slowly letting it out. "I always forget how quiet it is up here, alone at night. Almost makes me forget about home," Spider-Man chuckled a little "Key word of course being almost." Just then a siren was heard in the distance. He stood up from his perched position. "Looks like it's time to get back to work." He leapt from the building and started to swing toward the siren. Like a streak of light, he arrives just in time to the scene of the crime. A jewelry store with the window smashed, and no trace of anyone there. Spider-Man looks around for a second before thinking.
On a rooftop 8 blocks away a criminal wearing a green striped shirt and dark gray jeans was sifting through the contents of the bag he had loaded with precious jewels and gems. "How's it goin' Flint?" A very nonchalant voice came from behind him, he turned around quickly to find Spider-Man sitting on a water tower mounted to the top of that very same building. Flint groaned and started to run toward the exit before Spider-Man shot a web at his foot, tripping him and pulling him closer. Spider-Man jumps off of the water tower and looks at Flint. "Dude, why can't you just behave? This is the 5th time in 3 months." Spider-Man states. Flint doesn't respond, he just grimaces at Spider-Man. "Not a talker this time around huh?" Spider-Man takes Flint and webs him upside down to a lamppost, with the bag of jewelry returned to the store it came from with a note that read "Courtesy your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man." with a cute little heart drawn next to it.
