Eyes of Aquamarines
Chapter Two
The wind outside pounded fiercely against the window. A thick layer of snow had piled onto the window ceil. It was easy to tell that this storm was not leaving Domino any time soon. Although this cold weather depressed many, I was unmoved by it. I guess that I was just different. Well, that was easy to tell. I mean, how many girls do you see walking down the street with natural locks of blue? I guess being alone just comes with the territory.
As I gazed out the window into the starless night, I realized how much I was like the winter. Appearing dark and strange, yet after seeing it deeper, after taking it all in, you saw the inner beauty of it all. Then, after realizing how beautiful that the snow lying on the earth has become, the overcoming sensation of spring arrives in its proud array, when the flowers bloom, and you see just how magnificent the whole cycle is!
Although shy, I would call myself a very optimistic person. I believe that there is a bright side to every thing. I do not often talk to other people outside friends and family, because of this, most people think that I am being cold when I leave a room without a word. What they do not understand is that I am just not used to being together with other people. Because of that, I have no friends. Well, no human friends, I love to read. My favorites are Romance novels. Oh! That reminds me, I have to go buy the latest book by my favorite author! The quickest way to the bookstore is through Domino Park.
