This poem is deticated to my friend G.O.L.A.D. (Goddess of Life and Death). She gave me the idea in a review to my other poem, The Human Girl Named Rin.

My Master, Lord Sesshomaru

I was alone.

Cold, and mute.

My parents have died,

From a bandit robbing our home.

I lived by myself.

No company, not ever.

In the dark.

Alone.

One day, I went into,

The forest behind my shack.

I walked for a while.

In the sunlight of this beautiful day.

I caught a glimpse,

Of what appeared to be blood.

Then in the clearing,

There was a man, lying in the shade.

The man had silver hair,

And stripes on his cheeks,

With a purple crescent moon on his forehead.

And he's puffy white pants were covered in blood.

I felt sorry for the man.

As I approached, he opened his eyes.

His eyes were deep red,

As red as the berries nearby.

I walked up to him,

And gave him my water.

Then I left for a moment,

And searched for food.

I went back to the village,

And fished for a while.

Then the villagers caught me,

And through me to the ground.

They kicked me,

And said things like, "You ungrateful whelp."

They bruised me,

And I'm sure I loosed a tooth.

After they were done,

I limbed to the forest.

I could hear them talking about me.

But I never looked back.

I went to see the hurt man again,

With some food in hand.

I walked towards him,

The lizard and rat tucked under my arm.

I handed the food to him,

But he just knocked it out of my hands.

I picked it back up,

Then placed it on a rock.

"What happened to your face?" he asked me.

But I could not answer.

I looked up and smiled at him.

He turned his head away and I headed home.

When I returned to my shack,

There was a man,

"Is this your hut?" he asked.

Then the room was destrode.

There was another man,

But this one was dressed in furs.

He walked up to the thief.

He said something and then the thief was killed.

He told his wolves to have their fun,

Then they started their attack.

They killed all the villagers,

Then they came for me.

I ran as fast as I could,

But they stayed on my tail.

Then one of them pounced,

Next thing I knew, everything went black.

When I awoke, someone was holding me.

I looked up to see the man I had helped,

And a green frog creature,

With a staff that had two heads.

To this day, I stay with my savior,

And with his servant and pet.

Now I'm happy, and alone no longer.

Serving my master, Lord Sesshomaru.
