It was a dark night in Sunnydale, and there was a slight chill to the air. A man lead a woman down the street, she was a little tipsy and he was laughing along with her, he turned, leading her away from the town center and towards the quieter areas of the town. As they turned a corner, he pressed her against the wall, the smile of a hunter creeping across his lips as he stared into her innocent blue eyes. It was then she struck, as he leant to kiss her she slid from his grasp, pushing him against the wall and smiling as she heard his head hit it. She dragged him around the corner and into darkness as her revealed her true face and lent over him.

"Don't you think it's a little late for this? Sun's coming up soon"

A cold, english voice from the roof broke through the quiet, and silently a shadowed figure dropped down, landing crouched and fluidly standing straight behind the vampire. The vampire turned from the man, who held his head and moved to scramble away.

"Never a good idea to come between a Vampire and her prey" hissed the vampiress as she surveyed the young girl before her.

The girl stared, unflinching as the vampire advanced and swung her arm to strike. In one swift move the girl ducked the attack, turning behind the vampire and fluidly drawing her sword in an arc from its sheath, taking the vampires head clean off. "Who doesn't love a complacent vamp" she thought, brushing some dust off her shirt as she stepped into the fading moonlight.
