I own nothing, except an original character. Enjoy!

"To explain this would be the use of the Earth game chess. There pieces that have different moves and power, but unlike the game, we now choose the pieces. And our unpredictable being will do the same. To say this could be a game of chance mixed with strategy is probably the best way to put it," Azmuth said as he turned to a holographic map. It glowed as ominously in his lab. The only other light source was the map and the communication screen he had up. The Galvan scientist sounded more stern than usual as he spoke. "It with a harsh truth, I honestly can not be sure what is to come. So...good luck."

It was a quiet day at the Lakewood Plaza Turbo. Everyone minded their own business as customers perused the many shops and stores. The employees, KO, Rad, and Enid, were all doing their jobs, maintaining and cleaning the shop. Except for the one who had been lying down on the counter. All in all, the day was quiet.

"Excuse me, where is Gar?"

Well…mainly quiet as a customer needed assistance in Gar's Hero Supply Bodega. And to her displeasure, found no such service at the counter, evident from the clerk's relaxed posture. Well, too comfortable, it would seem Enid would not respond to anything.

Almost anything.

"Hey, Enid, you gonna do something or what?" Rad asked, carrying a large box. "You're just...sitting there."

"Excuse you. I'm not just sitting here. I'm supervising while manning the register," Enid replied with a small smirk. "Cause you know, it's my job."

"But, you always do that."

"Hello? Vere is Gar?"

"Yes, because it's my job," the purple-haired girl repeated.

"Excuse me!" The customer cried out.

Rad, Enid, and KO stopped as they noticed the elderly lady who came in towards the counter. She was a short woman but didn't seem too old as only her hair had dulled and paled with a few wrinkles. She circled the aisles and products multiple times after receiving no answer.

Rad and KO tried to talk to her instead but she kept asking where Mr. Gar was.

After a few minutes, Enid had enough of this, called the man, who came from his office in the back within minutes. He wasn't mad or anything, but wondered about who would be asking him personally.

"What's all the commotion?" Mr. gar said in a gruff voice.

"Mr. Gar, who's this lady?" KO asked, pointing to the lady in question.

"My name is Phylis, and we have trouble," the lady marched up to Mr. Gar. Despite the significant difference in height, one could get the feeling, she was looking down on the man.

Pressing a button on a device from the woman's pocket, a hologram came up with a map consisting of spheres, labels, and coordinates.

"Whoa!" KO was in awe and, in his excitement, tried to touch it, only for his hand to go through. "Awww."

"That what's you get for touching a hologram," Rad laughed as he patted the boy on the back.

"This is entire multiverse," Phyllis gestured to the hologram. "Comprised of countless worlds, each with its own set of rules and regulations. like this one."

"So, they all have their own big rule book?" KO asked innocently.

"Not exactly, but each world has a different environment which makes the rules. Most are parallel, but when they meet-"

"I can cause untold chaos," Gar finished. "I take it someone is trying to do that?"

"Yes, it is same guy as last time. Though, I can not say for sure."

"Who's the guy?" KO asked.

"Can't remember his name. In fact, I don't think he remembers his," Phyllis said.

"Mr. Gar?"

"I never met the guy. The only thing I know is that he's crazy," Mr. Gar sighed as he adjusted his sunglasses.

Gar and Phyllis continued talking as KO went back to work. Unable to understand things, he went to his co-workers, who believed this to be a big event. After a few minutes, the elderly lady walked to the door. Before she left, Phyllis said, "I'll send out my agents to gather up a crew, but we need to be careful. This person always seems like a dog chasing a car, and we have no clue what car is."

"It's always the crazy ones with a goal in mind," Gar sighed.

"Indeed. I will keep in contact," Phyllis said in agreement before she left without waving goodbye, with a stern face.

The store was quiet, with an eerie silence. KO had listened the whole time and was worried about what this could mean for him and the people he cared about. Enid had a calm demeanor, as did Rad, but wondered how much of this was true.

The multiverse was never a much talked about topic in this universe, though it has been theorized and documented.

If this character was indeed someone dangerous, they would need a lot of help. But who would help?

Just like the men and women who took to helping others in uniform, be it officer, fireman, or doctor, heroes exist in many dimensions among the multiverse ranging from those in traditional spandex-like costumes fighting with a shining endeavor, the guardians of the supernatural, and the knights that fight in the darkest hours. There was no doubt help could be found, but would they be able to answer the call if they could?

In the confines of the Ghost Zone, Clockwork, ghost, and master of time, floated patiently as he viewed the display on his monitor. He saw Phyllis and Mr. Gar talk of danger, but the spirit was aware of the potential threat.

The ghost would switch between years, going from child to adult to elderly in an unpredictable manner, as he watched time, giving the advantage of seeing future possibilities.

"I take it you think you can sneak up on me, " Clockwork spoke to his guest, who had stopped moving. The specter never took his gaze off the screen.

After a moment of silence, the visitor did nothing but stepped closer. Only a few feet closer, he went.

"You know what I may or may not do, yet you will not stop me? What a bore...or is it?"

"I suppose to you, my passivity may seem like that," Clockwork said, his eyes still on the monitor if his back wasn't facing the visitor. He might have seen a small, smug smirk aimed at him.

"However, make no mistake," Clockwork gave the creature a glance. "if it's a fight you want with me, then we BOTH know how that will go."

Despite the fact the specter now held the form of a child, the threat was clear with his smirk gone, the visitor inches to the exit.

"And here I thought I could have some fun, but I have places to go and chaos to cause. Ta-ya. Oh!"

This got Clockwork's attention, though he knew the words.

"And call me Hamill for now.. I figured it would be easier to have a name for now."

With his solitude returned, the master of time waved his hand and had his sights lined to a new image...to another universe.

High in the sky, inside the flying castle of Camelot, the wizard Merlin had been looking through the time map. He had been examining the device surveying possible outcomes from what little glimpses he was given to see. Among him, were guests who had come to talk about some pressing matters.

"It would appear you are correct. Someone is messing with the order of things. I can see events that were supposed to happen now delayed or gone," merlin said as he turned to his company of Prof. Paradox and Renet.

"I'm afraid time is always in flux," Prof. Paradox said before turning to his friend. "Wouldn't you agree, Renet?"

Renet had been walking around the room in admiration. A perk to being a time master was seeing the architecture like the ones found in the castle. It was never a dull sight for her.

"This is amazing! The entire castle of Camelot is in the sky, and it hasn't aged for what? 900 years?" the girl awed in excitement.

"Renet?" Paradox said politely, snapping the girl from her daze.

"Oh, sorry, Prof. P. Anyway, yeah, the time stream is always in flux. In some universes, this happens. In others, don't. If anything, it's just one of those things."

Merlin stroked his beard; this was not something he wanted to ever be part of. However, it seemed forces outside his sight were causing chaos. And it was inviting his home.

A clear sign of trouble.

"If you are worried about other undetermined obstacles, rest assured we won't be the only one preventing anything from tipping the balance," the professor added.

The wizard did not make a sound. He kept stroking his beard deep in thought. The seconds felt more akin to hours as the three waited in silence. Renet, though a little off-put by the quiet, grabbed the time scepter, which had been placed in a corner. She then walked in front of the pondering magician.

"Mr. Merlin. I know this is not the best setting to meet, but trust me-us, two time travelers, when I say that there is always hope-"

"Of course there is hope," Merlin interjected. "In every timeline, every universe, there's always hope. The trouble is whether to place ours in theirs."

Paradox and Renet were silent. The wizard did have a point. It was one thing to gamble in your home dimension, but to do so in another was something else. It was an uncalculated risk, the kind the wizard didn't want to take.

"We know of universes where heroes exist. Including those that would help our cause," Renet spoke up with enthusiasm and stubbornness. "And it will be with our help, that hope will not be blind."

Merlin walked sternly to the time master, his face spoke of his uncertainty. PRof. Paradox walked up and brought attention to himself.

"She's right, you know," the time traveler spoke softly. "After all-"

"The unexpected can come from anywhere in this omniversal battlefield, we can not predict it, be we can use that same element against any force of evil," Merlin finished the man's sentence.

"Correct." Prof. Paradox said in a hidden, but serious, tone.

"I take it others have been notified as well?"

"Indeed."

The wizard looked to the table. It had nothing of importance but seemed to be a great place to study for clarity. For at this moment, that space seemed to be everything as an imaginary chessboard was placed with other boards floating, orbiting around it.

"This will be no simple game, and with an undetermined prize if there is one. Thus, making this a most dangerous game."

"I couldn't agree more," Renet said sternly as she thought back to what Azmuth said earlier.

BIG CROSSOVER just a warning. I plan to have a lot of worlds and characters appear in this fic over a period of time. It will mainly include cartoons and some anime worlds, but some other stuff too. I hope you will all enjoy it.
