Once upon a hobbit, there was a ring of gold,
The story in The Shire is still often told.
Of how this little being, took a special trip,
With 8 other beings, to form The Fellowship.
The ring was made in the cracks of Mt. Doom,
Suddenly in The Shire, evil seemed to loom.
So to protect The Shire, they had to go,
Four little hobbits; Sam, Merry, Pippin, and Frodo.
The ring had to be cast into the fire that gave it life,
So it could no longer cause, harm or strife.
In the town of Bree, they were met by Aragorn,
A human, the son of Arathorn.
Gandalf the wizard was being attacked by Saruman,
But the companions still traveled on.
Frodo made some narrow escapes,
From the black riders, known as ring wraiths.
"Someone must go and destroy the ring,
But who?", asked Elrond, the elf king.
"I will take it." Says shy little Frodo,
As he was being watched by his cousin, Bilbo.
Legolas, the elf, offered to go with his bow,
He also had hearing as keen as a sparrow.
Gimli, the dwarf, brought along his axe,
Saying, " This will stop orcs, dead in their tracks."
Then a human, named Boromir, stood,
At first he seemed evil, but he turned out good.
To round off the Fellowship, was Gandalf the grey,
He was the wizard who started Frodo on his way.
If you want to know more about the trip they took,
I am afraid you will ahve to read the books.
Lady Frodo.
