Disclaimer: I don't own Spirited Away, just this poem about it.

Author's note: I really liked Spirited Away, and I especially loved Haku, so I wrote this poem about his river and how his spirit never really left it. Actually it was originally just a poem about a river, but after I read it through it seemed to fit. Enjoy!

The River

The sparkling, blue water

In the sun's radiant light

Or reflecting the stars

That redeem the dark night.

The full, glowing moon

Hanging high in the sky,

Looks down on the water

But up at the same time.

It rushes, it runs

And it never slows down;

It wears the bright rays

From the sun like a gown.

When harsh winter seizes,

It freezes all through

But the hard sheet of ice

Is still said to be blue.

In the rain it waxes,

In the drought, it wanes,

But the spirit of this river

Can never be tamed.
