Just a small little dark fiction I wrote while listening to a creepy song by my mate Kroovy. It's not halloween but anyway enjoy it anyway! Dedicated to Kroovy, an upcoming musican who gets me into trouble with my mom :D.
Hermione shivered and pulled her cloak tighter around her. She looked up at the house nervously. When Harry had owled her, after so many years, to come see him, she had jumped at the chance. But now she wasn't so sure. It looked like something out of a muggle horror movie. A large mansion on the edge of a cliff was creepy enough without the rain pouring down and the thunder clapping.
She took a deep breath and walked through the gate up the long path to the house, a mistake if there she ever made one
As she reached the house, she knocked on the large brown door, but there was no answer. She banged her fist on it and still, it didn't open. She was about to give up when suddenly; it creaked and swung open. The words were on the edge of her lips when she looked around and saw there was no one around to thank.
She had a gut feeling to turn around and leave, but she ignored it, the thought of seeing her friend too strong. She walked up the stairs nervously, no sign of Harry or a sign of anyone for that matter. He had told her to meet him up in the bedroom in the tower and her legs some how carried her there, her heart telling her to turn back now.
As she stood outside the door, she heard a moan, a familiar moan. Harry's moaning. Unhesitating, she pushed the door open and ran in. She stopped and viewed the room in front of her, a single lump lying curled up on the bed. "Harry?" She asked and there was no answer. Curiosity pulled her forward and she stood a meter from the bed.
"Hermione? Is that you" Asked a raspy voice and she smiled.
"Yes Harry, it's me." She said, choking back a sob of happiness. "I'm here." She whispered.
"Come closer so I can see you." He said and she was about to tell him to sit up first, but didn't, only moved closer as he had told her to.
"Harry?" She asked, looking over him when he didn't say anything more.
Suddenly, he appeared and lunged at her before she could get away, his fangs sinking into her neck. She screamed, but no one heard her cries as he drained every drop of blood from her body.
Down in the village, the residents all sat with their families in their houses in the dark with their garlic and crosses. It wasn't safe to be out now, not when everyone had seen that girl go up to the house. She would waken him, and then he would go looking for more victims, putting them all at risk. They only hoped she had had the sense to turn around and leave.
When her scream faintly echoed throughout the village, they all knew it, from the oldest man to the youngest child. They were all doomed now...
