Disclaimer: As much as I hate to admit it, I don't own Harry Potter.
Savior
Prologue
He couldn't believe it.
He just couldn't believe it.
He was back in his room at Number 4, Privet Drive, and everything was exactly the same as he remembered it since he had last left it the year before. His bed was in the same state he had left it. His trash can, in the same state he had left it. His clothes on the floor, in the same state he had left it.
Nothing had changed from a year ago. But how could that have been?
Everything has changed.
Nothing was the same anymore.
But his room proved him wrong. His room was the same. The house was the same. The Dursley's were the same.
The only thing different about it was him, who now stood within the walls as if an intruder. He clenched his fists so tightly, his nails peirced into his skin without notice.
The last time he saw this room was when Tonks helped him pack for his escape with the Order members. He could almost see himself in the corner, throwing his books and things into his trunk eagerly, knowing that he would soon be getting out of there. His heart at that time had been filled with joy. He was going back with the Order... he was going home to the wizarding world. He wasn't going to have to spend the rest of the summer at the Dursley's!
That boy was so much more different than the one who stood there now.
He could feel a growl emmitting from his throat. What a fool he had been. If only he had stayed... if only the Order never would have come for him. Perhaps he never would have made it to Hogwarts. He would still be within this room. The Department of Mysteries never would have happened. He never would have heard of a "prophecy" or the contents within it. He wouldn't have caused his friends to almost go running totheir deaths. He might still have had hope for a family...
But he had left.
And everything had changed.
Yes. His room still the same.
But he wasn't.
Everything herewas all exactly how he left it.
But he had changed so much.
That just wasn't going to do. It didn't equal out, and he couldn't bear it another second longer.
Not even his Uncle could stop the boy from tearing apart the room. He didn't even try.
Harry Potter had finally snapped. And it was about time.
End of prologue. Please review, and stay tuned.
I'll update as regularly as I can.
