Waiting

My beloved, I miss thee so now.

I cannot accept what fate hast befallen thee.

The horror that hit thee so hard and sudden,

My heart hast broken like glass.

I recall the many nights we spent,

Gazing up at the night skies.

That was my favorite time with thee,

Sit and watch stars high above.

I recall best the spring, night air cool and fair,

Cherry blossom petals fall from branches.

I think on how they blocked the full silver moon,

And filled the air with perfumed scents.

But even more I remember thy touch,

How tightly our hands were clenched,

The warmth of thy soft lips,

Touching mine beneath the trees.

I weep, for I know no more thy love.

Thou hast gone from the physical world.

But still I remain, gaze up at our sky,

Waiting here for thee to return.
