Disclaimer: None of the guys belong to me, so basically.. I own nothing.

A/N: A few nights ago, I thought of the four elements of nature, and how they all fit each turtle. A plot bunny surfaced and I started working on some kind of one chapter-story, where Splinter reflected on his sons, and their relationship to each other. As it turned out, I ended up walking in circles, repeating myself over and over again - so I dropped it. Tonight, though, the idea re-surfaced, and I realized I could handle it differently. Usually, I don't do poetry - but I just HAD to make an exception for this one. I hope you like, and don't forget to reivew. Thanks.

Summary: Each brother represents an element, but it is only in the harmony of all four they find peace.

With the freedom of wind
he blows life into his family
His carefree attitude an addiction to them, as well as to himself

With the wisdom of earth
he maintains his family grounded
His helpful nature taken for granted like the very ground upon which they stand

With the passion of fire
he keeps the spark of his family burning
Be it with happiness or sadness, love or hate

With the flow of water
he guides his family on the open sea
His unexplored emotions hidden in the depths beneath them

With the force of nature's elements
they stand united
Their beings only complete when in company of each other
