I don't own FMA but I really really really want Scar
AN: Hello, if you can't tell by my name I'm a total Scar fan. I freaking LOVE him! This is basically about him thinking about is past.
The Moon and the Stars.
Scar was lying alone on the side of a hill. With his arm under his head acting as a pillow he gazed up at the stars and the almost full moon. Remembering back to when he was young he thought of his home and when he would sit with his brother and they would look at the stars together.
"I miss those nights, when we would stay up late and just watch the night sky."
He thought to himself as he remembered those nights. He also remembered sitting around the fire, listening to the stories the elders would tell. He remembered sitting there and losing himself in the tales of brave Ishvalans and the stories of Ishbala.
Scar held his tattooed arm out in front of him.
"I wish I could go back to those nights by the fire, everything was so simple then."
A sigh escaped his lips and he put his arm down. He stayed on that hillside watching the sky until the sun rose.
He stretched his arms and legs, stood up and looked out across the land. He could see a town about three miles away. He started to walk towards the town and reached it by noon. He stayed in the alleys and shadows until night fall acquainting himself with the area and his target.
With the moon high on the sky he made his attack. He went in quick, fought with the alchemist and in the end won.
"I will give you time to make your peace with God."
The alchemist spit blood to the side.
"Dam you."
Seconds later his body hit the ground and Scar disappeared down an alley. He stayed in the shadows until he was out of the town. As he walked into the woods he could hear the sirens and the people shouting. He walked all night not stopping until sunrise. When he did stop he climbed a tree and sat in its branches. He knew the next town was three days away and that the fastest way was by catching the train. He waited till night fall before leaving the tree and made his way over to the train yard.
After jumping onto a train he sat by the open door and watched the scenery go by. He looked up and saw the now full moon in the sky. His thoughts returned to his past again, his expressionless face faltered and sorrow was clearly written on his face and in his eyes. He moved from the door towards the back and let sleep take him.
In his dreams he was on the side of a hill, his brother was next to him and they were gazing at the moon and the stars. He sat up and saw Ishbal in the distance, fires were lit and he could see people all around. Scar laid back down and for the first time in years a content smile crossed his face.
