DCDGojira - Well, that's a lot to cover. Miles Morales will not be appearing in this story, as I want this world to be a bit different. I've already introduced the Prowler in an earlier chapter as he was the one who captured Connors. A few of the others will also be coming in, but I don't want to spoil too much.
Peter and his sisters were sitting at home eating some breakfast before heading to school. While they were eating, the news was talking about an upcoming meteor shower.
"...it is said that it will be visible tonight. So be ready and be careful."
"I will never understand your fascination with floating rocks in space." May commented on the sibling's behavior.
"May, even if we could explain it to you, you wouldn't be interested in the scientific explication," Teresa said with a grin as she quickly took the last bite of her food. "Okay, we gotta go."
Peter then got a look at the time and saw she was right. "Oh, shoot. We gotta go." He then got up to place his dishes in the sink. "And a reminder, I and GoGo are going to be out late to see the shower."
"Have fun," May called as Peter and Teresa ran out the door. "Just not too much fun."
"May!" Peter cried in agony as Teresa pushed him out the door.
The day was really uneventful, not that anyone was really complaining, without any criminals or any disturbances anywhere. Not to say the day at SFIT was uneventful for the whole team.
Professor Granville had Hiro meet Karmi in her labs. Saying that he should learn from her how to adjust to the transfer to the school. It didn't go so well.
Hiro was currently on a rooftop during night patrol, talking to Baymax about his experience with Karmi. "I mean, what is her problem?"
"Without a thorough scanning, I am unable to determine if she suffers from any health anomalies," Baymax informed him.
"Are you really not getting this?" GoGo asked as she slid down the side of a sign and ended up stopping in front of Hiro.
Peter happened to be nearby and glided his way over and rolling to stop in front of Hiro. "Karmi doesn't really have any friends."
"Yeah. The only thing she had going for her: being the youngest genius at the school." GoGo added on. "Now, that's your thing. You took her thing."
"I don't want it to be my thing!" Hiro proclaimed. "I have my own thing!"
"My scanner is picking up a disturbance nine blocks to the west," Baymax informs them.
"There's my thing now," Hiro says as he raced and jumped onto Baymax's back.
The two of them then took off as GoGo sped and leaped off the roof to speed her way around. Peter looked around and shrugged, shooting two webs to pull himself back and slingshot himself through the air.
When the three of them arrived, they saw two fair-skinned humans with long blonde hair and purple/pink bangs. The older one of them was slightly overweight and has wrinkles around her eyes, and the younger one's hair is darker than the elder's.
They also have pink star-shaped earrings, cyan eyeshadow (which extends to a lightning bolt on the younger one's right eye), and pink lipstick. Both wear black dresses with a purple lightning bolt across, a pink belt with a cyan buckle, black boots, and black gauntlets with cyan powerlines.
The older's dress is one-shouldered and has purple sleeves, tights, and pink leg warmers, while the younger's is sleeveless and pink at the top half with black shawl off-centered, pink tights, and purple leg warmers.
There was also a blue orb that was floating around the air, which was shooting off electricity to the electrical equipment in the area. That also meant the ATMs that were nearby and had been blown up, money flying everywhere as a result.
"Uh, I'm not sure what's going on here," Hiro admitted as they were all a little confused. "But you're gonna need to give that money back."
"I'm a star!" The younger one cried in anger. "You do not interrupt a Star when she's leaving it all on the stage!"
"And all over the street," Peter commented, gesturing to the money flying down the street.
"And you are...?" Hiro was curious to know.
"I'm Barb!" The elder said, crossing her arms.
"I'm Juniper!" The younger said, mimicking Barb's actions.
The orb then flew over their heads and shot lighting. "And together, we're High Voltage!"
"High Voltage!"
Peter looked around, wondering where that song came from. "We all heard that, right?"
"Electricity May cause severe burns," Baymax informed the two.
"I went from Electro to this," Peter commented, unsure if he should be happy these two weren't a big of a threat.
"I've got this," GoGo said as she pulled out her disks.
Speeding down towards the two of them, High Voltage starts to do stepping dance moves that sent electrical blasts at GoGo. She did her best to dodge the attacks, but the two of them combined ended up shooting GoGo and sending her flying.
Acting quickly before she was sent into the wall, Peter managed to catch her but saw she was still in shock from the blast. Her suit took most of it, but a good portion still managed to get through.
"Okay, now it's personal," Peter said as his eyes went to slits.
"Juniper, I need more flare in those backflips and more sparkle in that smile!" Barb tells juniper.
"On it!" Juniper said as she did a leap and spun on her way down.
When Juniper landed, she clapped her hands and sent a blast of electricity flying straight at Baymax and Peter. As it came closer, Peter managed to jump out of the way while Baymax's size didn't help him as he ended up getting hit.
Baymax's suit (and himself) started to malfunction and his rockers ended up blasting him away. Hiro raced after his robot companion while Peter landed on the ground.
"Okay, I'm confiscating your ball." Peter proclaimed, acting like an irritated parent, and shot out a web. He managed to get it to the orb, only for them to realize it was an electric conductor. "Wait..."
The electricity ended up making its way up his web and blasted Peter backward. Sending him flying backward, Peter ended up slamming into the wall and groaned in pain. Baymax went flying past as Hiro was still chasing after him as GoGo came forward.
"Okay, I'm already getting sick of these two," GoGo commented as she threw her disk at them.
"Juniper, electric fence!" Barb said as she held her hands out and Juniper repeated the action towards her.
"Alright!"
The two of them then ended up using the electricity to create an electric net and sent her disk flying back at GoGo. She was thrown back by her own weapon and groaned as she held her stomach from the attack.
"Juniper! Juniper!" The crowd started chanting as the two were stealing the money.
"And Barb!" Barb called out.
"I love you, Juniper!" Al some in the crowd cheered.
"They're robbing an ATM!" Hiro cried as he was hit by lighting.
"No!" Barb corrected him. "We're telling a story through dance!"
And with that, they tossed the orb onto a car and drove off down the street. The crowd kept cheering as they made their escape, none of the heroes were sure how to respond to this predicament.
"I hate music," Peter said as he crossed his arms, still stuck inside the wall.
They returned to school the next day where they informed the rest of their friends of what happened. To say Teresa wasn't going to let Peter live this down for a while was an understatement.
"They got applause." Hiro proclaimed in confusion. "The bad guys! People clapped for the bad guys!"
GoGo blew a bubble with her gum and popped it and scoffed. "Telling a story through dance."
"The story of how to kick our butts." Peter snarled in anger. "I gotta work on my webbing. Make it less conductive."
"Oh, and there's gonna be more butt-kicking," Wasabi said, knowing that they were gonna be roped in. He placed his head on the table, then his fingers up to his head. "Why did I choose a yoga elective over martial arts?"
"One: you centered yourself." Honey Lemon said as she placed her hand on his shoulder. "Two: you strengthened your core." She placed her hand on his heart. "And three: you love the big ball."
Wasabi giggled as he remembered those reasons. "Yeah. Big ball."
Fred then came over and seemed to start getting excited again. "Colorful villains underestimated because of their ridiculous personas? Like so many things, it was foretold, in comic books!"
"Or my life for the past three years." Peter reminded his friend. "Yet again, the only real villain I've faced was Shocker. Then came Jackal. And Electro. And that one girl I fought with Scarlet Witch. And White Rabbit. And all of the Syndicate."
"We'll, in this case, why don't we go out and buy a bunch of comic books to figure out how to beat them?" GoGo made a sarcastic comment and left a grin.
"Yes!" Fred didn't seem to catch onto the sarcasm. "But in this case, I chose one in particular: Captain Fancy, issue 188."
"I'm afraid to ask..." Teresa sighed and knew she had to. "What happened in it?"
"Captain Fancy lost battle after battle to a mother/daughter acrobat team." Fred recapped what happened.
"Wow, that is similar!" Honey Lemon had to admit there were similarities.
"Did they have a floating shock generator, too?" Peter wonders, wiggling his fingers at the reminder of the orb.
"Close!" Fred stated. "They had a trained bear named Grizzlovech."
GoGo blew another bubble with her gum and popped it and looked toward Teresa. "You shouldn't have asked."
Hiro then looked over and noticed Karmi in the lunchroom. "Speaking of fighting a bear..."
Karmi was surrounded by a bunch of books and working on a computer. Knowing that Granville wanted him to try and connect with her, he made his way over.
"This should be fun to watch," Peter said, wondering how this will go down.
Karmi was focusing on her work in front of her when Hiro approached through the tower of books. "Hi, Karmi. Hanging out in the cafeteria, too?"
Karmi didn't seem to care about what Hiro was trying to do and groan in disgust. "Uck."
Hiro just tries to ignore that and just kept trying. "So, I was thinking, maybe Granville is right. Maybe the two youngest students should..." and that's when he noticed that she was sketching out his hero persona inside her sketchbook. "Wait. Is that-"
Karmi quickly shut her book when she saw he noticed her drawings. "Eyes on your own work, creeper!"
She then got up, picked up her books, shut her computer, and walked away with it all. Hiro was then trying to comprehend what he had just witnessed.
That night on patrol, Hiro, Peter, and Fred were flying around on Baymax as he was trying to figure things out.
"I don't get it. Why would she draw superhero me?" Hiro asks.
"Because Big Hero 9 Hiro is a hero-hero, and regular Hiro is just some boring, run-of-the-mill boy genius," Fred explains to him.
"But there is only one Hiro," Baymax commented.
"In this dimensional timeline," Fred stated.
"What?" Peter asks, following most of that. "But he does have a point." He turned to Hiro. "I've been doing this for three years, and trust me, I've had a fair share of fans." Then the quick flashes of his old fan girls came into mind. "The many, many obsessed fans."
Then they got a hit when GoGo called them in on the comms. "It's High Voltage, again."
"We're on our way," Peter said as Baymax turned in their direction.
At the scene of the crime, High Voltage were both working on the ATMs once again, a couple of officers tied up to the side. And the entire crowd around the two was just cheering them on as they were committing the crimes.
"My dreams are coming true!" Juniper cried in happiness. "You hear that, mama? They love me! They really love me!"
Barb was currently placing all the money in more bags as her daughter was distracting them. "Us, juniper! They love us!"
GoGo then came speeding in and saw the two of them, ready for round 2. "You two got lucky last time!"
Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Teresa, and Sp//DR were next to her and ready to fight. GoGo then skidded down the railing and went after juniper. Juniper looked afraid at GoGo coming at her when Barb interrupted.
"Juniper, squat dance! With feeling!" Barb tells her.
Juniper did a backflip and laid back before she started kicking, shooting blasts of lighting to send GoGo skidding and falling.
"Probably not the time right now, but your dance moves are perfection." Wasabi informed the two, walking over to GoGo.
"She does have my thighs!" Barb commented, throwing the bags into the truck.
Taking a break, she smashed her foot against the ground and sent a shockwave of lighting at him. Teresa then came in, using her wings as a shield to absorb the electricity and shield Wasabi in the process.
Honey Lemon leaped into the air, spinning with a chem ball in hand. "Rubber insulates electricity!"
Her chem-ball however missed them as they jumped out of the way and used the orb to shoot Honey Lemon away. Then SP//DR flew down and saved her. Baymax came flying and landed with Fred, Peter, and Hiro with them, all ready to fight.
Peter sensed something and looked to notice that Eddie Brock was in the crowd of people. Taking pictures of the group, most likely to try and take his job at the Bugle. Even though there's no way he could sell photos of them stopping these two as criminalizing.
But then he quickly got back into the focus of the battle when he saw that the High Voltage shot out a blast of energy at them. Everyone ducked for cover to dodge the attack only for it to split off toward SP and Baymax. The ball hits the Spider-Bot, then off to the flying robot, and hits them both.
Baymax's systems were short-circuited due to the electrical blast which sent Hiro plummeting. Luckily Peter was nearby and managed to grab Hiro before he hit the ground.
"Baymax!" Hiro cried out to the malfunctioning robot.
Baymax was flying around in circles and his rocket fist blasted off. The hand went flying and Peter managed to get them out of the way. But in the process, the hand slammed into a light post that began to plummet onto the crowd.
Peter shot a web to try and catch it whilst Hiro ran and found out Karmi was in the middle of the crowd. How he found out was when he tackled the said girl to protect her from the falling post.
"Are you alright?" Hiro asked when he noticed who he saved. "Ah!"
"I am now," Karmi said with a dreamy smile before snapping a photo of his face.
Whilst on the subject of photos, Teresa looked and noticed even if the High Voltage sequence vanished, she saw there was one thing she could do. Taking a shot towards the sleazy photographer, she shot Eddie's camera with a taser to short-circuit it.
"Oops," Teresa said with a smile before taking off.
"Nine to two, and they still kicked our butts." GoGo snarled.
It was the next day at school, and none of them were thrilled about what had occurred the previous night between them and High Voltage. They were skilled (kinda) professionals (Sorta) and got their butts kicked due to the power of dance.
"I say six to three." Honey a lemon called out. "I'm counting that energy orb thing."
"You mean the thing that makes it like that circus bear in Captain Fancy, issue 188? Am I right?" Fred asks his friends and looked to GoGo. "I'm surprised we're the only ones who see the connection."
"As if losing wasn't bad enough, Karmi got a good look at my face!" Hiro said in worry.
"That's why I cover my face," Peter commented on their suit design. "There's a reason my face is covered with lenses."
"Tony Stark wears a mask, yet everyone knows he's Iron Man," GoGo replied.
"Touché." Peter had to agree with her there.
"Guys. Can we focus?" Hiro asked them. "What am I gonna do?"
"Tell her that you have a clone?" Wasabi offered.
"Wasabi, she's biotech. She'd see right through that." Hiro debunked that idea.
"Want me to call the Scarlet Witch?" Peter offered to him. "Make it look like you were in two places at the same time?"
"You think that would work?" GoGo asks.
"I don't know. Last time, she owed me one." Peter shrugged. "But maybe they owe me one for the whole turning-into-spiders incident."
Hiro looked over to Karmi and just sighed. "Might as well get it over with."
Karmi was currently looking at the photo she took of Hiro in his suit with a fearful face when
Hiro approached her. He definitely should have made their masks out of one-way mirrors or windows.
"Hi, Karmi." Hiro sheepishly said, not sure how to approach this.
"Looks like I caught you," Karmi commented, immediately getting annoyed as she jumped up and crossed her arms.
"Yeah." Hiro sighed and knew it was over if he couldn't keep her quiet. "Any chance I could convince you to keep this quiet?"
"Ew!" Karmi said in disgust, confusing Hiro with why. "You think I want people to know you have a crush on me?"
Hiro didn't know what to even say to that as he went from worried to shocked. "Ew! What?"
"It's so obvious!" Karmi cried in annoyance. "You're always saying stuff like, hey, Karmi, we should work on our project." She then poked him with her phone. "N5-4 totally called it."
"Wait, no." Hiro was only getting more confused as he took the phone from the hand she was poking him with. Then he showed the photo next to his face, mimicking his expression in the picture. "What about this?"
"That guy saved my life!" Karmi said as she took her phone back in a quick swipe. Then she just began rubbing it up against her face, getting Hiro more lost. "He can say, Hey, Karmi, to me any day!"
Hiro sheepishly then just walked away and saw he didn't need to keep this going. Not to mention he didn't want to stay here in case she started to make out with the phone.
"Okay, bye." Hiro then quickly backed off to find the others already left.
Peter was sitting in Fred's sitting area and was reading the Daily Bugle Report of the High Voltage team. And just as Peter figured, Jameson made the team known as Big Hero 9 to be the enemies and the criminals known as High Voltage who are robbing people as the heroes. But on brighter news, they ended up using his photos due to the fact their second photographer lost their camera.
"Yeah, I'll never understand how you can work for that guy," Teresa commented as she looked over the paper.
"I don't understand how this guy could take everything we do and twist it," GoGo commented as she looked over it.
"It's a gift that he has." Peter shrugged as he folded it and left it on the table. "How'd you think Hiro is doing with Karmi and his identity?"
Hiro then walked into the room through the doors. Honey Lemon was the first to approach him and showed concern about her knowing his identity.
"Oh, no. She knows?" Honey Lemon asks him.
"Well..." Hiro didn't know how to explain it.
"On, I know, a memory wipe!" Honey Lemon said as she quickly ran to her labs.
"Wait, a what?" Peter questioned as she ran around her labs. "We all heard that, right?"
"We'll need this, and this, and this." Honey Lemon said as she was running around and grabbing ingredients. "One amnesia-ccino coming up!"
"It scares me she knows this off the top of her head." Teresa had to admit her best friend scares her as she was blending the ingredients.
"She doesn't know he was me!" Hiro exclaimed to them, confusing the group.
"How does she not know you were you?" Wasabi asked as he turned off Honey's blender. "You are so obviously you."
"You'd be surprised how oblivious some people can be," Peter commented as he leaned on the walls.
"Really?" GoGo asks him as she popped a gum bubble.
"How long was I able to keep from you all that I'm Spider-Man?" Peter replied with a snarky grin.
"It gets worse." Hiro was sorry to say. "She's in love with him. Uh, me! It's complicated."
"Complicated?" Peter asked him. "Dude, you're looking at the guy who almost went on a talk show with a fan of mine after confessing she liked me."
"Wasn't there another girl a while back?" Teresa asks, trying to remember the girl's name. "Chrissy? Christine? Oh, Christina!"
Peter immediately spun around and pointed sternly at his sister. "We don't talk about her!" He shuttered at the reminder of the girl who had a crush on him. "That was the worst experience of my life."
"Ah, the power of the secret identity," Fred commented from his chair, reading a comic book.
"How'd he get there so fast?" Teresa wonders.
"Intrepid investigator Rita Rampart never realized cab driver Lash Looper was secretly Captain a fancy!" Fred said as he slipped out of his chair and crashed.
"This is another comic thing, isn't it?" GoGo wonders, feeling like this was an Avenue they might want to look into.
"Indeed!" Fred proclaimed as he jumped off the ground. "To the Fred from!"
And with that, Fred zipped down the room and out the doors. GoGo and Peter both looked at one another, both of the having the same idea.
"Want to swing, or run there?" Peter questions.
"Swing," GoGo said with a sigh. "If I'm gonna subject myself like this, might as well be on my terms."
"Works for me." Peter shrugged and the two walked off.
"GoGo in a conversation about comics." Teresa couldn't believe that was a sentence. "Oh, I wish I could go and just see that." Then she noticed the time and sighed. "But I gotta go and get Peni from school."
Peter swung GoGo to Fred's house and landed in his backyard whilst Fred just ran home giddy. Peter strolled around and got changed behind some hedge bushes and emerged in his casual clothes. GoGo waited for him before everyone made their way inside and followed Fred. Passing Fredrick through the mansion before reaching his room.
Fred walked over to a drawer in the back of his room and started to pull. "We'll start you with the basics: BattleMax, and Avenger Duck, maybe throw in a little Maya Mayan."
Peter watched as the drawer went on forever and went across his room. "Wow."
"Forget the training wheels," GoGo said and started to look through the comics. "I'm jumping straight to 188."
Fred then immediately reacted and shoved the drawer straight back. "Whoa! No!"
"Fred, it's the only way we'll figure out how to beat High Voltage," GoGo commented before looking at Peter. "You sure your webs or how you defeated Electro won't help?"
"Webbing conducts their electricity, and not unless you want your boyfriend lightly toasted." Peter was sorry to tell her.
"I promise I won't crease its stupid pages or anything," GoGo sarcastically assured her friend.
"Stupid?" Fred asks. "You need to dial it down before you crease our friendship. We don't rummage through classic comics like we're barbarians. These are works of art. They must be treated as such." Then he pulled a small container out and held it open to her. "And gum?"
GoGo rolled her eyes and took the gum out, handing it to Fred who used tweezers to drop it inside.
"Thank you," Fred said before going back. "And the backup."
GoGo couldn't believe he somehow knew about that and gave it up as well.
"Hands up," Fred said and handed the two of them gloves. "Also, I should probably tell you I don't have Captain Fancy, issue 188." Then he zipped down the room. "Okay!"
"What?!" GoGo asks as she looked over at him in anger.
"I only know what's within its pages based on whispered rumor," Fred explains to them.
"Do not start at the beginning!" GoGo demanded/pleaded to her friend.
"He's gonna start at the beginning." Peter could easily tell.
Fred then turned off his lights and used a flashlight for an ominous tone. "I'll start at the beginning!" GoGo sighed and immediately became annoyed. Peter crossed his arms, knowing this was going to be quite the story. "June 1963. Disgruntled artist AJ Dohertz slips a wildly inappropriate drawing of Captain Fancy into issue 188. It wasn't until after it was printed that people caught the offending...image. The entire run is pulped, save for one copy, smuggled to freedom, few have ever seen it. To my eternal frustration, I am not one of the lucky few."
"So, where can we find it?" Peter wonders as the lights come back on.
"In the clutches of my arch-nemesis." Fred as he became stern and faced them. "Be forewarned, he's a dark and dangerous foe."
Then lightning suddenly flashed in the room, getting GoGo and Peter to look around in confusion. Neither of them could find the source of the lightning and just decided it as something to do with the lights.
"Fred, I've fought the Syndicate. The Jackal. Shocker. Rhino. That girl with the Scarlet Witch. Sandman. Then the entire city when you all became Man-Spiders." Peter recalled the last calendar year alone. "I can deal with anything."
They made it to one of the many comic book stores in the city where they walked in and saw a young man sitting behind the counter reading a comic. Peter and GoGo looked at one another, trying to figure out if this kid was supposed to be Fred's arch-nemesis.
He is a short kid, likely due to his age, and has a slightly chubby body. He also has a skin mole under his eye. His eyes and hair are brown.
"I don't know why I expected something actually menacing," Peter commented while he looked at GoGo.
"Yeah, you should have lowered your expectations." GoGo agreed as she strolled up and dinged the bell. "Hey, kid, is your dad here? We need to talk to the owner."
The kid then raised his comic where a robot came down and grabbed it before wrapping it carefully. "You're talking to the owner, dream girl."
"Dream girl?" Peter didn't know what to even say to that as the kid fixed his hair with a comb.
Fred then came closer to Peter and whispered in his ear. "Chilling, isn't he?"
"More annoying," Peter replied.
The kid then lowered himself down from his chair, walked underneath the opening in the counter, and strolled over to the group. "Richardson Mole, San Fransokyo's most eligible 11-year-old." Then to their creep and disgust, he reached and grabbed GoGo's gloves hand. "And you are?"
GoGo immediately took her hand back when she saw what he was planning. "Much older than you."
"Nice," Mole said with a grin.
"Okay, I don't like him," Peter said in disgust.
"See?" Fred was happy to see his friend understood.
"Fred, talk to him," GoGo said as she took a few steps back. "I don't need my boyfriend getting jealous."
"Jealous?" Peter didn't know if she was being sarcastic or just warning the kid she was taken. "Me?"
"Yes," GoGo said.
"Hey! This is a business call, Richardson!" Fred informed the boy. "Let's keep this professional."
"Very well." Mole decided.
"We need to see Captain Fancy, 188," Peter told the kid.
"Ah, the very issue I smiled from you in that online auction," Mole said as he started to walk across the store.
"You cut the power to my house!" Fred cried in anger.
"Those charges were never proven," Mole said as Fred went to get him when GoGo pushed him off.
"Can we just see the dumb comic book?" GoGo asks of him.
"Ooh, I like you angry, dream girl." Mole commented.
Peter was really tempted to hit this kid but held restraint. "Kid, I'm right here."
"Don't care." Mole proclaimed as he walked into a telephone booth. "Follow me to... the Mole Hole!"
And when he pushed a button, the floor opened underneath him, and he fell inside. The three of them looked at the booth and were considering not doing it, none of them wanting to be stuck in a hole with that kid.
"I'm waiting!" Mole called out to them.
Knowing they needed to see that book for the idea to save the city from the High Voltage duo, they just decided to go in. It was cramped with the three of them, but they quickly hit the button and dropped.
Falling into the Mole Hole, Peter landed on a chair with GoGo ending up on his lap seconds later as the chair quickly moved. Fred then came falling next to them and crashed on the hard floor.
Looking around the room, they saw there were a lot of personalized versions of old video games. The only difference was the fact all of them had Fred's face and name plastered all over the place.
"Wow." Peter didn't even know what to say.
"I told you he hates me." Fred snarled.
"Best my high score on any of these games, I will allow you to see the comic." Mole dares them.
"Really?" Peter asked, looking around the games.
GoGo however didn't hesitate as she walked over to a game called: "Wack-a-Fred".
"Let's do this one." GoGo decided as she grew a smile and picked up the hammer.
"Ooh, poor choice," Mole told her with a smile. "This is my favorite game. And my score is-"
And almost immediately, GoGo got to work smashing in all of the Freds that showed up out of the game. It got to the point she even started to break a few of them in the process. All of them screamed out "ow!" with a recording of Fred's voice.
Fred winced as he watched his friend destroy and shatter all of the smaller versions of himself. Peter was left in awe as he saw how fast she was moving and hitting all of them. Mole was left indifferent as he watched her destroy them all.
"I'm impressed," Mole admitted.
"I'm concerned," Fred said in worry.
"I'm a little hot," Peter admitted what he witnessed was amazing.
Mole then kept his end of the bargain and opened up a game to show there was a vault where he kept the book.
"Gum!" Mole called to GoGo's chewing, and she sighed. Hanging over the gum to his pincher, he sniffed it a little creepily. "Strawberry. Nice."
Peter was really starting to hate this guy and understand where Fred was coming from. Just for two completely different reasons.
Then when they opened the vault, they saw there was nothing but the comic on a stand. Fred gasped and looked in awe at the comic.
"It's beautiful," Fred said in awe at the comic.
"Oh, just give it." GoGo groaned as she reached out for it.
"Bup-bup-bup!" Fred quickly stopped her and took out his gloves. "Gloves."
Peter, GoGo, and Fred then left the Mole Hole and were allowing Fred to read the comic book as Mole was dusting off the comics in the main part of the shop. As Fred was reading, he came across the page that got the book banned. He gasped at the sight and closed his eyes before looking away.
"Good luck unseeing that," Mole tells him.
GoGo then leaned over and took a look. "Oh, come on, grow up."
"Wait..." Fred started to get an idea. "I've got it."
"You actually found an answer?" Peter was surprised to hear just as GoGo's phone went off.
"High Voltage! San Fransokyo Trust!" Wasabi cried into the phone.
"We're on our way," GoGo promised. "Come on."
The three of them then raced for the exit to get to the Trust and stop High Voltage. "Come again!" Mole called to them. "Not you, Fred!"
When the others made it to the San Fransokyo Trust, High Voltage had just opened the vault with their electricity. More like breaking the vault open, but that's not the point.
But before they could even open the vault, SP shot out several webs that conducted their powers and kept them out of the vault.
"You guys don't need to steal," Wasabi tells them. "You have real talent."
"He's actually not wrong," Teresa admitted, aiming her blasters at them.
"Yeah!" Honey agreed with her friends. "You should audition for Top Feet."
"Stars don't audition!" Barb proclaimed as she waved her hands and sent electricity flying at them.
Teresa quickly ran in front of Wasabi and used her wings to shield him from the electricity whilst Honey used her chem-balls to protect herself. SP on the other hand ended up taking the full blast and Peni's suit started to malfunction.
"I don't get it!" Hiro cried in confusion as he and Baymax were flying through the city. "What could I even learn from Karmi? She talks about those things! I'm way more adjusted than she is!"
"True." Baymax agreed with him. "You have a functioning support group, Karmi does not."
"So why would-" Hiro was wondering when there was an explosion in the distance. "Let's finish this later."
"I will set a reminder," Baymax promised.
When they flew into the room, they found wasabi and Teresa trying to fight the High Voltage duo whilst trying not to get zapped by the two. Peni was trying to get her suit under control whilst being dragged around with the malfunctioning arms. Wasabi was just about to get crushed by some debris when Baymax saved him.
"Time to power down, ladies," Hiro told the family duo.
"Step off! It's Juniper's time to shine!" Juniper tells them.
"Juniper, launch!" Barb tells her daughter.
Juniper then absorbed a bunch of the energy from the orb and launched it into the air toward the heroes. Baymax then held out his hand and just caught her like it was nothing.
That's when they suddenly remembered what the electricity does to Baymax. Seems Juniper also remembered as she held out a finger.
"Oh, no," Baymax said in worry.
As soon as she made contact with him, they sent out an electrical surge they sent Hiro off of Baymax, Teresa, and Wasabi flying backward, as well as shutting down their equipment and rendering it useless.
Honey quickly sent out some chem balls to make a surface that would protect them all and they ran for cover. Peni and Baymax were still moving around the room and also crawling up the side.
"Well, Peni's currently reenacting the Exorcist. She's out of commission." Teresa commented. "Anyone got any other ideas?"
GoGo then came speeding in with Fred on her back. Peter came crashing in through the glass ceiling and landed in his signature stance.
"We've got one," GoGo said as Fred jumped off of her back. "Fred knows how to beat these guys."
"Oh, I actually don't," Fred confessed as he looked back at them.
"What?" Peter asked as he quickly stood up. "You said you knew how to beat them."
"No, I meant that I found an answer about Hiro's identity thing," Fred explained what he meant. "Was I not clear?"
Then Peter's senses warned him that they were about to open fire again. "Watch it!"
Peter quickly shot two webs to create a lightning rod to absorb the electricity. When High Voltage shot out a blast, that's exactly what happened. But it also resulted in Peter getting the majority of it and being sent flying backward.
GoGo and Fred both jumped and went behind the barricade they created for themselves.
"You okay?" Teresa asked her brother.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Peter said as he tried to stand up. "It was just my bones. My lungs. And my organs." Then he looked over his suit and found out that his web shooter was damaged. "Great, and I'm down one shooter."
"This is a disaster," GoGo stated.
"Tell me about it." Fred agreed.
"So, we still don't have any ideas of how to stop them?" Teresa asked them.
"Nope. Overall the comic was a letdown," Fred admitted. "Maybe Richardson did me a favor when he cut the power to my house."
GoGo then got an idea when she looked at the orb and Peter's web shooter. "Cut the power!" She then slid over to Peter and held her disks out. "Peter, web me."
"Here? Now? I feel that should be private." Peter couldn't help but joke.
"Ew!" Teresa comments.
"That's gross!" Peni commented. "Hey, the comms finally works!"
"Hang tight, P," Peter said as he quickly took one of his canisters, setting them on her disks as they explode. "You've got a plan?"
"Yep," GoGo said as she took another small canister. "Just watch."
They decided to allow her to do whatever it is she is currently planning and stepped back. High Voltage sent out some more blasts of electricity at her as she sped her way around them. When GoGo got close enough, she leaped into the air and threw her disks at them.
The webbing then starts to draw the electricity away from GoGo and towards the disks as they fly and smack into the duo. Once they hit the two, the conduction cut their connection to the orb. And to top it all off, she threw the other canister at the orb and sealed it in a coat of webbing.
That's when the two finally put together what happened and realized they lost their powers. But before they could even think of escaping SP//DR came leaping down and grabbed the two by the back and lifted them.
SP's face even had a look of anger on it as it looked over the two of them.
"Use a catchphrase!" Fred tells them. "Say it like it's a joke, but it's not really a joke."
"Ha!" Peni cheered from inside the suit. "Looks like we got the final dance."
"Good one!" Fred cheered.
Peter then used his webbing on his only working shooter and webbed the duo up. If they wanted to use the orb now, all it would do is zap them.
"Nice job," Peter tells the two.
"Big ups to Fred for the inspiration. Even if it was unintentional." GoGo admitted.
"So, Fred, you said you had something about my secret identity?" Hiro asks him.
"Ah, yes. You see, nobody was able to tell that Captain Fancy was truly Lash Looper's alter ego. He may look like him in a sweater vest, but nobody is ever able to notice it's him." Fred explains to him.
"And that's supposed to help me understand why Karmi can't see me as hero Hiro?" Hiro wonders.
"Yep. It's a superhero thing." Fred shrugged. "People see what they want to see."
"He's not wrong," Peter confessed. "I mean, you know how long I was able to go without someone discovering my identity?"
"Didn't Jackal discover it?" Teresa asked him.
"Yes, but he cheated. He stole my blood." Peter defended himself on that one.
"And Tadashi?" Teresa added.
"That was years later!" Peter replied. "Are we done? Can we go? The cops are gonna be here soon, and I think we all wanna be gone when they do."
"High Voltage was defeated after a run-in with our own Big Hero 9. The team of heroes shocked High Voltage by insulating them in Spider-Man webbing, and they are now being placed in a maximum-security prison."
The news was then paused to reveal the same man from before was watching them on the internet.
"Jackal. Shocker. Electro. Scorpia. An army of Man-Spiders. The Syndicate. Is there nothing you can't do, Peter?" He questions the man as he looked over a photo of the three siblings in their superhero suits. "It'll be a pleasure to finally get to know each other. Face to face."
Then his face started to glow again the same as before. He has known Peter to be Spider-Man for years, and it has been building up to this. He can't wait until it is time to finally get some time alone with him.
With the criminals away, Peter and GoGo were resting on the top of her apartment complex and watching the meteor shower starting to pass them over.
"So... who was the first person to discover who you were?" GoGo was curious to know.
Peter rolled his eyes and knew she wasn't gonna let this go. "The truth? Scarlet Witch."
"Really?" GoGo was surprised to hear.
"Well, we were working together, she needed to escape a psychopath, one thing led to another."
"Hey, I get it, the girl you barely knew got to know your secret, and it took me years and a few dates to get the truth." GoGo was just teasing him.
"What? That's not... I didn't..." Peter was ready to defend himself when he noticed what she was doing. "Don't do that!"
"What? Be snarky and sarcastic with a hint of an edge? If that's not what you're into, we have a lot to discuss." GoGo commented with a smile.
Peter rolled his eyes and leaned over to kiss her. As the two kissed, they missed one meteorite that was much closer to the world than the others.
Out in the furthest reach of the city, in the nearby park, the same meteorites were actually much closer and smaller than anyone could even detect. It was sent crashing through three trees and leaving a small crater in the wake of its landing.
But there was something special about this certain meteorite. This one contained a living life force as it broke free of its container of a meteorite.
It looked like a chunk of black ooze that started to crawl its way out of the wreckage. It kept going and started to crawl into the woods.
When it came into contact with an animal, it started to consume the creature and left it as a giant black animal in the process. It snarled and immediately started to die out thanks to the creature attached to the animal.
What was left of the animal was now nothing left but bones. The bones all started to fall and topple over whilst the creature left it behind and starts to crawl off again.
Looking for a suitable host.
