Tord worked on the gun until it was only a few screws from done. One last day. He wanted one last day to say goodbye. Even if Tom wouldn't want it. He knew if Tom knew what was happening, both of them wouldn't want it. One would want to stay and the other would want to come back.
"One more," Tord muttered aloud to himself, grabbing Tom's attention. "One more what?" Tom asked. Tord looked up to see Tom on the floor sprawled out. Tord laughed before patting Tom on the head. He needed to pat the fuck out of Tom's head, it was something Tord knew he needed to do because Tom would never let him once he gets his memory back.
"Nothing," Tord smiled. Tom returned the smile and rolled back onto the floor and out of the room. He was acting really weird today. Tord brushed it off putting it under as if he was acting like a dog. It was something he and Tord would do if they were bored. Tord turned to the gun one last time before following Tom outside the room. He found Tom in the kitchen holding a bag of chocolate donuts in his mouth and a glass of milk in his left hand as he closed the fridge door. They looked at each other with a dumbfounded frowns.
"What are you doing?" Tord asked, Tom, looked really stupid. Tom made a couple of grunts waving his free hand crazily. He moved his left hand spilling a small amount of milk on the floor, luckily for Tom, it wasn't on his sleeve. Tom frowned in disappointment. He set the donuts and milk on the table before cleaning the little but he dropped.
"Cookies taste better with milk than donuts," Edd yawned, walking into the kitchen. He reached into the fridge and pulled out the bacon. Tom grabbed the cookies from the cabinet before sitting down. Matt came in shortly after, he grabbed the box of Loop Fruits from on top of the fridge.
"I'll make you something too, don't worry." Edd said, referring to the bacon. Tord smiled before sitting down next to Tom. One last day to sit down next to Tom. Tord couldn't help but think about how much will change. Matt sat across from Tord. He placed his purple bowl on the table and poured his milk first and then the cereal. Tord got a little upset at Matt for pouring his milk first.
"You're supposed to pour the cereal first," Tord muttered. Matt looked down at his bowl and then at Tord who had a very annoyed look on his face. Matt then looked at the milk carton and cereal box. He poured more cereal and then the milk.
"Well you can't fix it now! You already poured your bowl! I was telling you for next time!"Tord yelled, putting his hands forward clearly upset. Edd laughed as he came back with the bacon. Tord yelled at Matt because he kept pouring the milk first.
"What do you guys want to do today?" Edd asked, pulling out his phone. The three stared at him as if he asked the impossible then at each other. They didn't have any plans, not even Tord had a plan.
"We can go to ASDF Land," Matt suggested. No one seemed opposed. And that's what they did. They went to ASDF Land. When they got there Edd and Matt split up into their own group as Tom and Tord were left together. Again. Neither minded being with the other.
"What do you want to do?" Tom asked, looking at Tord. "Arcade?" Tord asked to make sure it was okay with Tom. Tom nodded his head as they headed to the arcade. No one was there, but that's normal for ASDF Land. A lot of people knew about it but never went. They went to the RPG games Tord beat Tom every time and easily beat number one on the leaderboard each time leaving the leaderboard with Tord in every slot.
"Want to try the claw machine?" Tord asked, pointing at one full of beer bottle plushies. He thought Tom might like it, but he wouldn't like it as much as he would normally. Surprisingly Tom nodded his head and walked over. Tord put in the credits and tried to get the Smirnoff one, but failed miserably. That's when Tom hit a smug look on his face and one almost instantly.
"We're all good at one thing!" Tom smiled, handing the plushie to Tord. Tord was astonished at how quickly Tom had gotten the plushie. He kind of didn't want to believe he won it so quickly. He pushed the plushie away.
"I wanted to win it for you," Tord said, embarrassed as a light blush spread across his face. Tom chuckled "Of course you did," Tom smiled. Tord wanted to test if Tom just got lucky so he picked another claw machine. This one had plushie guns, similar to the one outside with real guns.
"Don't trust me? Well if I get it first try you have to keep it," Tom smiled giving the machine the credits to play. "Which one?" Tom asked. Tord pointed towards an M-16. Tom smirked and got it on the first try. He handed it to Tord who was amused by Tom's skills. Tom threw it at Tord but it hit him in the face.
"I'm sorry," Tom chuckled, but it was more of a laugh. Tord frowned but picked it off the floor. "What do you want to play next?" Tom asked. Tord looked around the arcade and saw the skee ball machines. Tom took notice and dragged Tord over putting the credits in one of them.
"Ladies first," Tom said sarcastically. Tord frowned extra dramatically, he felt a little offended but went along with the joke. "Shorties second," Tord said smugly, grabbing a ball. He threw it and it went into the ten-point hole. He threw the next one and got in the 20-point hole, and then back to the 10-point. When Tord was done he got 130 points. Tord moved out of the way to let Tom play.
"Watch and learn," Tom smiled, he threw the ball into the 20-point hole, but he only got into the 20-point hole giving him a total of 260. Tord was good at RPGs and shooting games while Tom was good at skill games.
"Hey! We're closing up, check out your tickets or just wait until the next time you come!" An employee yelled from the counter. The two looked at each other then at the glass door to see the sun setting. They went to cash in their tickets. They also got a bag for their claw machine prizes.
"Your total tickets are 100,000! You can get basically anything, even the things no one ever got!" The employed exclaimed in a sing-song voice. The two looked around the prize area trying to decide what to get. Tom kind of wanted the giant purple and black monster plushie hanging up on the wall. Tord took notice, he walked over to the employee, and pointed to the monster. The employee nodded his headband got it off the wall handing it to Tom. Tom struggled to hold it because of how big it was. He looked at Tord.
"You sure?" Tom asked. Tord smiled and nodded his head. The two thanked the employee before leaving to find Edd and Matt. Edd and Matt were at the entrance waiting for the two. Matt was fixing his hair from the rides he rode with Edd. In the distance, Edd saw two figgers coming closer. One was holding something really big and the other was holding a bag full of trinkets.
"I think that's them," Edd said, squinting at the two. "Who? And what if they're a she?" Matt asked, putting down his mirror. Edd stared at Matt because of how bad his joke was. It wasn't supposed to be a joke but it seemed like one. As the figgers came closer there was some laughter confirming it was Tom and Tord.
"Sorry, were you waiting long?" Tom asked. Edd shook his head "We just got off a ride, besides that. How's that supposed to fit in the car?" Edd asked, pointing at the giant plushie. It seemed too big for the trunk or a seat. Tom shrugged his shoulders. Edd sighed as they headed for the car. Tom somehow managed to get it in the car but it was a tight fit between the seat and the car roof. It was a quiet ride home but Tord was very anxious.
"Thanks Tord, I just wish I had more time," Tom mumbled loud enough for Tord to hear but not Edd or Matt. "What are you talking about?" Tord asked as shivers weren't sent down his spine once more. Tom smiled and looked out the window. "What were you not telling,"
Tord froze at Tom's last statement. How did he know? Tord felt extremely guilty. He swallowed hard. "W-what are you saying?" Tord asked with a shy smile. Tom frowned before letting out an annoyed sigh.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. We're just not planning on telling me? I don't mind, really I don't. Tom probably would eventually come back because of his mind. It's strange how we communicate, but it gets the job done. He's left me alone all day and you've been fairly clingy. Don't think I didn't notice. It's like anyone will miss this me, they prefer the actual Tom. As I said, I really don't mind."Tom said as a single tear fell down his face. It was hard to tell if he was lying about not minding or not.
"I'm sorry" Tord frowned, looking down at his lap. "Don't be, it's fine. I really don't mind," Tom smiled which only made Tord feel more guilty. They rode in silence the rest of the way. It made the drive feel like an eternity but was only a matter of minutes. The four exited the car. The sun was already down. They walked into the house, Tom and Tord going to the room. Neither of them said anything.
"Thank you again, and goodbye Tord." Tom smiled before falling asleep. Tord felt so guilty but knew he should finish the gun. He sighed looking at the gun on his desk. He laced down facing away from but towards the gun. He didn't expect to get much sleep tonight but somehow he got some sleep.
