Chapter 2

Arizona was sitting on the couch waiting for Teddy. She was wearing low rise baggy jeans, a white, cropped tank top with a little heart in the middle, a red zip up hoodie and red converse. Her parents had already gone to their event.

Arizona was really excited to finally have some friends again. It had been 2 years since the crash and since then she only had support from her family. She loved her family to death but sometimes she just wanted someone else to talk to.

She snapped out of her thoughts as she got a message from Teddy saying she was in front of her house. She stood up from the couch, grabbed her tote bag and ran to the front door. When she opened the front door she saw Teddy's car waiting for her. The car was definitely not the most expensive but it wasn't old.

She opened the passenger's side door and sat down. "Hey Teddy, thanks for the ride." Arizona thanked her new friend.

"No problem, we're going to Addison's house by the way, not Callie's. They live next to each other so it's no big deal." Teddy shrugged.

"Oh okay, why aren't we going to Calliope's house?" Arizona asked.

"I don't know, probably another fight with her family." Teddy rolled her eyes. "Also, never call Callie by her full name unless you want a black eye."

"Oh, she lets me call her that." Arizona shrugged. "What's the deal with her family anyway? When I asked her about her sister she got all tense."

"That's not my story to tell." Teddy simply answered. "We're almost there."

"Oh okay. So any dirt about the group that I should know?" Arizona asked teasingly.

"Not really, if you wanna know stuff you should check out Cristina's blog. It has everything about us. It's weird to be honest. Oehh, did you already see the new fanfic about you and Mark?" Teddy asked. "It's absolutely disgusting. I love it." She grinned.

Arizona groaned. "Ew, no I haven't had the chance to look at the blog yet. How did she even come up with a blog?"

"I don't know, she was a weird 13 year old. We all became friends when I was in sophomore year with Callie, Addie, Derek, Mark and Owen and when Cristina, Mer, Alex, George and Izzie were in freshman year. That's when she made the blog." Teddy answers.

"George? Izzie? Who are they?" Arizona knitted her eyebrows in confusion. "I haven't met them yet, right?"

"No no don't worry you haven't met them yet. It's a complicated story. Basically George and Callie were together for about 6 months and then George cheated on Callie with Izzie. They say they're friends again but you can feel the tension between them." Teddy said as she pulled up to 2 huge mansions. "This is Addison's house and that's Callie's."

"Holy shit! That's not a house that's a fucking castle!" Arizona looked up at the huge houses. She stepped out of the car and made her way to the front of Addison's door.

"We are a bit early since I wanted to help set up snacks and shit." Teddy said as she knocked on the door.

Addison opened the door and greeted them both with a hug. "Come on, Arizona I'll show you around." Addison offered. "Upstairs are just some bedrooms and bathrooms, the places we really hang out are downstairs and in the yard."

They walked to a room on the left side of the house. "This is the movie theater, we usually watch some movies on saturday nights. There is also a theater in Cal's house, so sometimes we have movie night there. Actually Saturday we're going to watch some movies, if you want to come?" Addison asked.

"Yeah, sounds fun!" Arizona answered excitedly.

"Cool! It's gonna be so much fun. I'm not sure who's all going to come but we'll see! Come let's go to the kitchen!" Addison walked out of the room.

When Addison finished the tour they walked back to the living room where Teddy was struggling opening a bag of chips. "You have a really nice house Addison!" Arizona praised.

"Thank you, Cal's house is nicer so usually we hang there but I think she got into another fight with her family so we can't go there." Addison rolled her eyes. "Seriously with all due respect, Mr and Mrs Torres need a reality check."

"Why are they fighting?" Arizona asked as she sat down on the huge couch.

"They don't support her 'lifestyle' or whatever. It's the fucking 21st century." Addison groaned in frustration. Teddy slapped her on the back of her head. "Ow, Teddy what the hell?"

"Dude, that's not your story to tell!"

"Lifestyle?" Arizona asked clueless.

"She's gay. Her parents are super catholic. And her sister is the exact same." Addison ignores Teddy. Teddy slapped her again.

Arizona's eyes widened in surprise. You're saying I might have a chance with her? Don't be silly Arizona. Why would she want you? She probably has people lining up for her. She was snapped out of thoughts when Addison spoke up. "You got a problem with it?" Addison shot her a nasty look as she saw the look on Arizona's face.

"What? No of-of course not. I mean- I- I'm also like really really gay. Like the gayest of gays. Lesbianic even. I'm- I'm a human rainbow." Arizona stutterd. Now it was Teddy and Addison time to look surprised. Arizona just continued her ramble. "I was just surprised, you know? Cause we go to a catholic school and all. I thought I would get another Gabby situation if you found out and stuff. I'm just surprised, not homophobic."

"Gabby situation?" Teddy asked. "Oh my God that's why you punched her! She called you a dirty name didn't she? Way to go Arizona!"

"That's why she didn't want to go out with the manwhore!" Addison exclaimed.

"Yes, but even if I was straight I still wouldn't have gone out with him. Like you said he's a manwhore. I have some self respect." Arizona replied.

"Hey!" Addison and Teddy yelled in unison.

"Sorry?" Arizona chuckled.

"She's right tho. I regret sleeping with him." Teddy thought out loud.

"I don't." Addison blurted out. Teddy gave her a look. "What? I don't. He's good!"

"Whatever." Teddy rolled her eyes. "I'm gonna call the guys? They should be here by now." Just as Teddy got her phone out of her pocket, the doorbell rang. "I'll get it!" Teddy exclaimed.

"So you're gay huh? Human rainbow?" Addison teased Arizona.

"I ramble when I'm nervous, okay?" Arizona blushed.

Addison snorted. "Callie is single, you know?" She wiggled her eyebrows. Just when Arizona was gonna reply, Derek, Mark and Owen walked in.

"We're here!" Mark said loudly.

"We can see that." Arizona chuckled. "Where's the rest?"

"The babies are coming later and Callie's on her way." Mark grabbed a handful of chips and stuffed them in his mouth. Arizona looked at him with a disgusted look. "Yo blondie, have you seen Cristina's blog yet? There is a new fanfic about us, and it's real dirty." He winked.

"Mark! What did I say about harassing her!" Callie yelled at him as she walked him. "Hey everybody."

"I didn't do anything! It was Cristina! She wrote it!" Mark put his hands up in the air."

"I'm so sorry Arizona. I'll make sure Cristina deletes it or something." Callie apologized and she walked over to the couch and sat down next to her.

"It's fine. I'll just keep calling her Crissy." Arizona shrugged.

Everyone laughed. They made some more small talk when the doorbell rang. "That must be the babies. I'll go." Mark said as he walked out of the room.

"You know Callie, Izzie is going to be here…" Addison muttered.

"Why do we even invite her? We aren't friends with her or anything?" Teddy stated. "I mean I know Meredith is friends with her and George but that doesn't mean she has to bring them over each time."

"I told you guys, we're fine. We aren't friends or anything but at least she's civil with me now. The same goes for George. If Mer wants to bring them, who am I to stop her?"

Just as Teddy was about to protest Meredith, Cristina, Alex, a blonde girl, a young brunette girl and a nerdy brunette boy walked in.

"Hey everyone, sorry we're late. I had to pick up George and Izzie." Meredith greeted as she walked over to the couch.

"Yo McPerky, have you read my beautiful story yet?" Cristina asked as she also sat down on the couch. It was getting kinda cramped with 6 people on the couch.

"No I haven't but I have heard great things about it, Crissy." Arizona smirked.

"Who's this?" The blonde girl asked with a tone Arizona couldn't make out.

"I'm Arizona. I'm new at Seattle Grace." Arizona said with a forced smile. She stuck her hand out for Izzie to shake.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Izzie, Meredith and Cristina's friend. Also flyer of the cheerleading team." Izzie shook Arizona's hand. "Oh my God, you should totally try out! There is a new opening and I'm sure Addison will let you try out."

"Yeah Arizona, if you want to. It will be fun!" Addison offered.

Callie felt Arizona tens and she started to stutter. "I- uh I don't cheer anymore. But- but thank you for the offer." Arizona gave another forced smile.

"Are you okay?" Callie whispered in her ear.

Arizona shivered when she felt Callie's breath against her skin. "Yeah, I'm good." She gave her a small smile.

"Oh too bad, you have the body and looks for it." Izzie smiled. Arizona rolled her eyes but Izzie didn't notice.

"Hey everybody, I'm Lexie, Meredith's sister. I'm a freshman at Seattle Grace." Lexie introduced herself.

"Half-sister." Meredith corrected.

"Nice to meet you Lexie." Mark smirked and winked at her.

"Don't Mark! She's a fetus!" Callie swatted him on his arm.

"Ow! Sorry."

"Guess he's over me." Arizona snickered.

Callie giggled. "Guess he is."

The conversation flows throughout the night and everybody is in conversation with each other.

Arizona was in a conversation with Alex when she needed to use the bathroom. On her way she bumped into someone, spilling her drink all over herself. "Oh my God, shit I'm so sorry." It was Lexie. "I wasn't watching where I was going, I'm sorry."

Arizona groaned. "No it's fine, I wasn't paying attention." Her whole hoodie was soaked in apple juice. "Can you ask Addison if I can borrow a hoodie or something?"

"Yeah yeah of- of course. Again I'm so sorry." The 14-year old stuttered.

"You're good." Arizona gave her a dimpled smile as she walked towards the bathroom. She took off her soaked hoodie and then saw that the bandages on her arm were also covered in juice. "Fuck!" Arizona didn't want to be weird and look around in the cabinets for an aid kit, but she didn't really have a choice. She took off the juice covered bandages and looked through the cabinets for plasters or something. Then she heard the door open. Fuck. She quickly stood up and put her arm behind her back. Jeez, what a way to not look suspicious.

"Oh sorry I thought the bathroom was empty, the door wasn't locked." Callie said, looking at the scene in front of her. "What are you doing?" She asked skeptically.

Shit. Think Arizona, think. "I uh- I needed to find uhm a- a tampon." Good save, Arizona.

"Oh okay. They're in the bottom cabinet, by the way." Callie said when Lexie came back with a black hoodie.

"Oh hi Callie," Lexie greeted her before turning towards Arizona. "Again I am so sorry, Addison says you can give it back Monday." Lexie threw the hoodie at Arizona and then quickly walked out the bathroom.

When Arizona catched the hoodie, Callie saw the cuts. Her eyes widened and looked at Arizona who seemed oblivious. Arizona quickly threw the hoodie on and looked at Callie who was still staring at her with wide eyes. "Are you okay Calliope?" She asked, but right when she said it, she realized. Shit. Ruined my one chance at having friends.

"Are you okay?" Callie asked concerned.

"Yeah yeah I'm- I'm fine." Arizona mumbled as she tried to walk past Callie, but Callie stopped her.

"Wait right here!" Callie walked over to the cabinets.

"Callio-"

"Shush!" Callie pointed her finger at Arizona. Arizona looked stunned. She opened her mouth to protest but didn't have anything to say.

"Here," Callie gave her some plasters. "If you need to talk, I'm here." She gave Arizona a small smile before walking out of the bathroom.

Arizona watched Callie walk away with an open mouth. She's probably gonna tell everyone, right? No, she wouldn't do that. What! You don't even know the girl for 24 hours, maybe she's another mean girl. Arizona snapped out her thoughts and quickly put on the bandages and walked back to the living room.

It was getting late, and it was almost Arizona's curfew and her leg was starting to hurt. She was starting to limp a bit. Arizona was trying to find Meredith to drive her home, but she couldn't find her. So she was trying to find Cristina, because where twisted sister #1 is, is twisted sister #2 as well.

As she was walking around trying to find any of the twisted sisters, she bumped into Callie. "Hey, have you seen Meredith, it's almost my curfew, and my parents will kill me if I'm late."

"They're in the basement drinking tequila so…" Callie trailed off.

"Shit! What am I supposed to do now?"

"I can bring you home? I was about to leave anyway?" Callie offered.

"I can't ask you to do that! You live next door, and I live like 10 minutes away." Arizona protested.

"It's fine really! I love driving and I haven't drank anything tonight."

"I guess I have no option huh." Arizona chuckled. "I have to get my bag and hoodie. I'll be back. Don't move!"

"Nope, not really!" Callie smiled. "So, did you have a good night?" She asked when they were walking to her house.

"Yeah, it was really fun. Although I'm not really a fan of Izzie and George." Arizona scrunched her nose up.

"Yeah me neither. I'm sure you heard about that whole drama." Callie smiled sadly.

"Yeah, Teddy told me. I'm sorry, you deserve better." Arizona laid a supportive hand on Callie's shoulder.

Callie smiled at the smaller woman. Then she noticed that the blonde was limping. "Hey, are you okay?"

"Yeah, fine. It was just uhm- cat- cat scratches. Yeah…" Arizona stuttered. What kind of excuse is that?

"I've used that one before and I wasn't talking about that. You're limping." Callie stated.

Arizona frowned. She has used that before? What does that mean? "I'm fine, I just bumped into uhm- a- a table. I hurt my hip. It's fine."

Callie didn't really believe her, but decided not to push. "Oh okay, does it hurt badly?"

"Nah, not really." Lie. My leg hurts like a bitch. They walked in silence till they arrived at Callie's garage. "Your house is really beautiful, by the way!" Arizona smiled.

"Thank you, but it's not my house. It's my parents house, I just live in it." Callie smiled sadly. She opened the garage door and it revealed 6 very expensive looking cars.

"Holy shit! Your parents must be really rich!" Arizona exclaimed. "Wow, that was really rude. I'm so sorry!" She blushed.

Callie giggled. "You're good. It's true, they are really rich. My father is a multiple hotel owner and my mom is a lawyer." She walked over to the baby blue car. "This is mine, I'm in love with her." She patted the car in the hood.

"It's a sexy car." Arizona chuckled.

"Paid for it myself and repaired by myself." Callie said proudly. "T-birds are hard to get, you know?"

"She looks really good." Arizona chuckled. They stepped into the T-bird and Arizona sat in the passenger seat.

"So do you want the roof open or closed? I mean it's almost midnight so it's cold outside and then you would be cold but it's really nice with the roof open." Callie rambled.

Arizona giggled at her. "Open roof sounds good."

"Open roof it is!" Callie blushed.

They said in a comfortable silence for a while until Callie decided to speak up. "So… about what I saw in the bathroom…"

"Don't."

"It helps to talk about you know…"

"You don't get it." Arizona said quietly

"But-" Callie said before being interrupted.

"No. You don't get it." Arizona snapped. Callie was shocked to hear this cold tone of the new girl, she seemed so happy and perky. Her heart broke for her.

"What happened?" Callie said calmly.

"What?" Her tone softened.

"What happened? To cause you to hurt yourself?"

"None of your business." Arizona snapped again. "Do you mind if I smoke? Your roof is open so it won't smell."

"You smoke?" Callie asked surprised.

"Yeah. I don't need a lecture. I know it's bad for me blah blah blah."

"I just thought because you wanna be a doctor and stuff."

"Because I smoke I can't become a doctor?" Arizona said amused.

"No no! That's not how I meant it- I just- you know what I mean." Callie sighed. "Go ahead."

"Thanks." Arizona grabbed her tote bag from the back seat. Grabbed the packet of cigs and a cheap lighter. She lit up the cigarette and took a hit. "You want a hit?"

"No thanks, I'm not an idiot." Callie smiled. Arizona swatted her on the back of her head. "Ow!"

"Fuck off." She giggled.

"Hey, I'm driving!" Callie giggled with her. "And apparently we are comfortable enough to hit each other now!

"Sorry for snapping at you." Arizona said softly, as the laughter died down. "I just can't talk about it okay?" She said as she blew out a puff of smoke.

"It's fine." They smiled at each other.

The rest of the ride they sat in a comfortable silence. Callie dropped her off at her house. "Thanks for giving me a ride." Arizona smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"I'll see you tomorrow."

—————

The next day at school, Arizona ran into Teddy in the parking lot. "Hey Teds!" Arizona said cheerfully.

"Ugh, how are you so perky? It's 7:15 AM and I haven't had my coffee yet." Teddy whined.

"I enjoy life, Theodora!" Arizona smiled. "And I didn't drink any alcohol last night."

"Fuck off, Riz." Teddy nudged her shoulder. "I need coffee, let's go to the cafeteria."

"Riz? Seriously?" Arizona laughed.

"Yeahh, I mean you're hot! You probably get a lot of girls right?" Teddy exclaimed.

"I used to!" Arizona laughed. "But I don't think I can get anyone here."

"Why? Because we're a catholic school?" Teddy asked.

"Sure! I have to run by my locker for my History books. I have history with Mr Warren, is he nice?" Arizona asked to change the subject.

"Warren? Yeah he's really nice! He is in a relationship with Bailey, they're pretty cute together!"

"Bailey? Wow I didn't see that coming! After history I have Public Speaking, do you have that class?" Arizona asked.

"No, only Cal has that subject cause she's scared of it and her parents forced her to take it." Teddy sighed. "They need to leave her alone for real." She muttered.

"Well, at least I don't have to follow that class alone. Ugh I hate Public Speaking, all those people with stupid opinions." Arizona sighed as she walked towards the lockers. She saw a sticky note on her locker.

"Oh no, there's a note on your locker. It's pink and it's definitely from Gabby." Teddy started to get annoyed. "I hate her and her stupid puppies that follow her around." She muttered.

Arizona laughed. "After I get my books, we'll get you some coffee."

She walked towards her locker and checked what it said on the note. Her smile faltered and she walked towards the nearest trash can and threw the note in the trash.

"What did it say?" Teddy asked carefully. The look on Arizona's face was kinda scary. Her blue eyes looked cold and angry.

Arizona opened her locker, got her books, put them in her bag and slammed her locker. She turned towards Teddy. "She called me dyke."
