Henry fidgeted slightly as he waited for Russell to arrive at the residence with his wife.

"Are you OK?" asked Will.

Henry swallowed, "I'm fine. Just… you'll understand in a few minutes."

Will eyed him suspiciously, "Should I be scared?"

"No. It's not bad… exactly. It's actually good news. It's just that… well… I think that it's best if we wait for Elizabeth to get here."

Will didn't seem to like that answer, but before he could push the issue they heard Elizabeth coming up the hall. She was going on to Russell about a healthcare bill she was hoping to get through the Senate, but stopped short when she saw Henry and Will.

"Will? What are you doing here? Is everything ok?"

"I don't know. Henry said there was something that you and I should hear about together."

Elizabeth turned to Henry with a questioning look. Henry looked to Russell.

"You two should sit down," said Russell, "this is going to be a lot for you to take in."

Elizabeth eyed the two men suspiciously, then walked over to the couch and sat down.

"So," said Russell as he rubbed the back of his neck, "first, Elizabeth, did you know that your parents worked for the CIA?"

Elizabeth snapped to attention, "I… no."

Russell nodded, "I found out a few hours ago. I wasn't sure if you knew. Well, they were. And they didn't die in a car crash."

There was a tense silence while Russell let that sink in.

"Why are you telling us this now?" asked Will, voice shaking.

"Because… some information has come to light that is going to change things. Especially for you. Part of the deal with Russia that we signed today was that both countries would return any spies that were in their custody. Several of the spies they returned were Cold War era agents that we had assumed were dead. Including your mother."

The silence stretched between them.

"Is this some sort of joke?" asked Will.

Elizabeth studied Russell, "My mother is alive?"

"Yes."

"Where is she right now?"

"Langly. We can have her brought here whenever you are ready."

"Do it."

Russell nodded and pulled out his phone to text Ephrum, "They are on their way."

"Is she… ok?"

Russell nods, "As far as we know at this point she is, though I don't think that you can go through something like that and not be affected."
