-Billy-

The day went by agonizingly slow. The people and sounds mixing together in one long strenuous fucking blur. Between the moms of Hawkins with the incessant staring and their bratty children causing havoc in the surrounding pool area, I've found today extremely fucking hard to keep my temper in check. After finally wrangling the last bit of people out of the building, I took a deep sigh and started the late shift clean up before I could finally shower, lock up, and leave.

I wasn't looking forward to going home at all but usually by this time Neil is asleep or even better, gone which gives me some actual time to relax. The closest I could come to relaxing in that house anyway.

With my eyes closed, I ran my hands through my hair, cleaning myself from the day's blistering sun and sweat with the warm water of the shower. Suddenly, shiny blonde hair and ocean blue eyes sparkled behind my eyelids. Fuck. Before I knew it, I was thinking of toned, tanned legs in shorts again. Jane's entire appearance flashing through my mind like a slow-motion movie.

My hand traveled down south to my now very hard cock without my permission. Drawing in a sharp breath, I slid my hand along my shaft. Starting at a slow pace as I thought of her soft, plump lips and what they would feel like wrapped around the very place I was touching. My hand going at a faster place as the memories of her took over my senses.

Without warning, the sounds of her giggles flooded the dark grey areas of my brain, filling my head with her infectious smile and twinkling eyes as she stared up at me. Those very thoughts interrupting my sexual need and filling me with an unfamiliar feeling. My eyes snapped open. With a frustrated groan, I slapped my palms against the shower wall, dipping my head underneath the now cold water. Taking a deep inhale and slow exhale, I decided my thoughts couldn't be fucking trusted and turned the shower off.

I had one tiny little fucking conversation with her. Very few words between us and no time alone, so why was I thinking like some awestruck puppy eyed pussy for her? It was driving me damn near insane. I ripped my clothes on my still wet body that I kept in my locker and made my way to the entrance of the building to lock up, shutting off lights as I went.

Shutting and locking the front door behind me, I took a cigarette from the pack I had in my jacket and lit it, deeply inhaling the toxins and feeling the nicotine rush through my head at an exhilarating rate. Making it to my car, I unlocked it and slid in. Throwing my gym bag to the passenger seat, I got situated and started the car. The rumble of my baby beneath me sent a smirk to my lips.

I rolled the windows down and turned up the volume on the Black Sabbath cassette I had in. Slapping the gear stick into drive, I swiftly made my way onto the dark deserted roads, driving towards my house.

As I parked my beloved Camaro, I noticed the lights still on in the house. My eyes automatically went to the driveway in a search of Neil's truck and found the space empty. I let out the breath I didn't realize I was holding. No truck meant it was Max that was still up at this hour. Since school ended for summer break, Neil and Susan had been taking a lot of time for "romantic getaways," or so Susan called them. Not that I minded in the slightest. Neil's being gone for a while was the best I could ever ask for.

I swung the door open and sauntered in through the threshold. Max was sprawled out on the couch, eating popcorn and watching a movie. I could tell she was trying her hardest to not pay me any attention. I slammed the door behind me and walked to the fridge in the kitchen. Searching for something to eat, I found nothing quick. Instead, I grabbed a beer and decided I'd just order pizza.

"Maxine, you want pizza?!" I hollered. Mine as well feed the shit head too. Since that night at the Byers, things have been different between us. She still annoys the ever loving shit out of me, but I have a smidge of respect for her since then. Not that I'd ever tell her that. I realized I can't keep blaming her for this fucked up life. It's not her fault, it's our parents.

"Yeah! Double pepperoni!" She replied from the living room. I cracked the beer open and chugged half of it in one go. Letting out a burp, I walked to the phone and held it up to my ear as I punched in the numbers to the pizza place.

"Ew, you barbarian," Max says as she strolls over to the fridge, grabbing a soda with a look of disgust aimed towards me. I smirked and chugged the rest of the alcohol from the can. Smashing it with my hand, I chucked it at her retreating back. With a thump, it hit the back of her head. She whipped around, fury in her blue eyes as she glared at me.

She bent down, picking the empty, crushed up can and cocked her arm back. Suddenly, the person on the other end of the phone picked up. "Hello, this is Dominos. How can I help you?"

Max threw her whole body weight forward as she chucked the can. I watched as it came barreling at me and ducked at the last second. It heavily smacked against the wall as I bounced back up, phone still in my ear. Looking back at her, I smirked, satisfaction clear across my face. "Hi there, I'd like to order for delivery." I replied, turning back to the phone to complete my order.

I could hear Max sigh and stomp her feet back into the living room, grumbling the whole way. After I finished the pizza order, I sauntered back into the living room to wait. Walking over to the couch, I noticed Max sprawling her legs out so I couldn't sit. Not bothering to tell her to move, I went to plop down anyway. Last minute, I watched her pull her legs up to her chest in a panic as my body met with the couch. "That's what I fucking thought."

She glared at me a moment longer before turning back to the tv. "Where'd they go this time?" I ask, spreading my legs apart to get more comfortable.

"I don't know, mom just said they'd be gone till next Monday." I hum in reply. A whole week? Fucking works for me.

I wouldn't care if they just disappeared forever. Make my life a lot easier. As much as I despise Max, her and I are better off without them.

•———————• Next Morning •————————•

BEEP BEEP BEEP

With a groan, I smacked the alarm clock off. I took a deep breath as I stretched and blindly sat up. My first thoughts running through my sleepy hazed mind being who I'd be working with today and it brought a smile to my normally stoic face.

I should not be this happy over a girl. Especially a girl I don't even know. I shook my head as I headed for the bathroom to get ready for work.

After brushing my teeth, I went back into my room to fix my hair and put my work swim shorts on, I grabbed a tank top as well as some shorts and stuffed my wallet in my pocket. I exited my room and entered the kitchen for something to eat, Max came shuffling out, hopping on one foot, trying to put her shoes on.

"Could you drop me off at the mall?" She asked while grabbing her board that was leaned up against the hallway wall.

I grabbed an apple and picked up my keys from the counter on my way to the front door, Max following behind me. "Yeah whatever, how are you getting home? I work till 9 tonight." I sigh.

"I'm gonna stay the night at El's." My eyes narrowed. I unlocked the car and we both slide in. "Who the hell is El?" I didn't really care, but Neil would have me in a grave if she went missing again.

"I meant Jane. The party calls her El as a nickname. Why do you care?" she asks, rolling her eyes. "The chief's daughter?" I asked, ignoring her question. She nodded.

Without another word spoken, I turned the volume up in the car and started driving towards the mall. I smiled, thinking about what today might have in store for me. Taking bites of my apple as I bobbed my head to Motley Crue, I could see Max looking at me suspiciously out of the corner of my eye. But not even she could ruin my mood this morning.

Some short while after, I quickly finished my apple and threw the core out the window. Then lit a cigarette in its wake. I lowered the volume on the music enough to speak as I pulled into the mall parking lot. I sigh, taking small glances at her. "Don't be hopping all around town, Max. If I have to come find you again I will."

I came to a screeching stop at the entrance. Rolling her eyes she grabbed her skateboard and reached for the door handle. "I'm not running around Billy. Just the mall then to El's, I swear." I nod, watching her open the door and exit the car. She closed the door and eyed me on the other side for a moment, eyebrows furrowed before turning and leaving.

When she was out of sight I took a deep breath and started towards the direction of the community pool. As I got closer, I got more and more nervous. No one has turned me into a speechless idiot before so the idea of working along side Jade was honestly nerve racking. I finished the rest of my cigarette and flicked it out the window as I pulled into a parking spot.

Trying to pep talk myself, I turned the review mirror towards me. Fixing the curls on my head to where I wanted them. "Hey Jade, nice to see you here again...no what the hell she works here..." I grumble. "Hey gorgeous...do you...no" I roll my eyes at myself and shoved the mirror back to its original place.

"You got this don't be a pussy." I mutter. I picked my bag up from the backseat and crammed my clothes into it. Zipping it up, I stepped out the car and slung it over my shoulder. Since I can't light another cigarette I stuff another piece of gum in my mouth and sauntered through the parking lot to the building entrance.

"What's up, man." Evan greets me as I stepped into the office to clock in. "Hey" I reply, punching in my card. He was sitting at the desk, leaning back drinking from a water bottle. "You'll be training Jade today since you both will be working the same shifts." He winks at me. "Classes too?" I ask, eyebrows raised in surprise. No one other than me wanted to teach the 5-6 Year class however I don't know if that had to do with me or the kids. "Yup, she wanted the youngest class we have." He shrugged. I hummed in response.

I exited the office and walked off into the mens employee locker room to put my bag away and grab my whistle. As I was stuffing the bag into the locker I could hear voices. Looking around I realized it's from the vent up on the wall. Turning back around I slammed the locker shut and put the whistle around my neck.

"I'm serious Jade! Everyone looks at you like you're some kind of goddess." Heather giggles. I froze. Oh shit that's Heather and Jade talking. I walked closer to the vent to get a better listen. "Oh please they do not." Jade groans. I smirk at the sound of the annoyance in her voice.

"They do too! Did you see how Billy looked at you yesterday? He could barely speak and that man has never and I mean ever acted that way! Guys a player and you had him swallowing his tongue." Heather exclaims.

My eyes widened with the sudden change of topic being me. "What's his deal anyway? I've heard his name floating around since I came back. Is he new?" Jade asks, curiously.

"He's been here for like 8 months now. He showed up during senior year and like totally took over Steve's spot. He's a super hottie but not nice at all and has gone through like every girl at school." Heather muttered back.

I rolled my eyes. Heather is really not helping my chances right now. Is this what all the girls are saying about me? "Do you find him attractive?" Heather then asks her. I lean forward in anticipation waiting for what she has to say about me.

BAM. Chris slammed his hand against a locker. I snapped my head in his direction, glaring at him. "Hey, dude." Chris cackled, walking over to his locker and opening it. Chris Folley, former football running back graduated same year as I did. Huge asshole who I barley spared even a glance at but man did he still try. Much like Tommy H, Chris tried to stick around and kiss my ass.

I grunted in acknowledgment and sauntered out of the locker room to get away before I decked him for making me miss what Jade had to say. I probably shouldn't be listening to girls through vents anyway but no one ever said I was a gentleman.

"Hey Billy, wait up." I halted in my step to turn around and see Jade walking up to me from the ladies locker rooms. She was wearing the red swimsuit work uniform for the women and her hair was up in a ponytail. My heart leaped in my throat, how could someone make even the boring ass swimsuits look that good? Her tanned skin against the red of her suit really made her look heavenly.

"H-hey doll, are you ready to work today?" I asked, internally cringing at the lack of smoothness that came with that question. Why can't I talk around her? Jesus. She stopped next me with the cutest little half smile. Her blue eyes locking with mine as she spoke. "As ready as I'm gonna get, stud."

I felt a fluttering in my stomach and my face heat up. Our gaze never faltered, her lips turned up into a smirk as she stared at me. Clearly getting enjoyment from the red in my cheeks which makes me turn my head away so she can't see how much she is affecting me.

"Good because your stuck with me." I smirk. She laughed, eyes twinkling with amusement. My smirk turning into a smile as I stared down at her. She was absolutely adorable.

"Please Billy it's more like your stuck with me." She winked as she started walking towards the pool area. I couldn't help but hopelessly trail behind her, watching her hips sway back and forth. Her ass bouncing with every step. My eyes widened at the little tattoo. The words 'Bite Me' in red ink displayed proudly on her right ass cheek.

Good god this woman is perfect. I started skimming her whole back side looking for more tattoos. Besides the two I found previously, she had one poking out the top of her swim suit in the middle of her back. It didn't show enough to know what it was but just knowing it was there had me wanting to rip her suit off to take a better peak at this cute little game of spot the tattoos.

I was so lost in her ass that I didn't realize she stopped causing me to run into her tiny body. She fell forward as my hand went around her waist to catch her. I pulled her flush against my naked chest. Back to front.

"Sorry princess, I should probably be watching more careful when I'm walking huh?" I whispered in her ear. She unwrapped my arm from her waist and turned around to look back up to me. Her brow raised and her arms crossing against her very nice chest. "With how zoned in you were to my ass I'd say you'd better or you might fall into the pool and drown." She smirked.

My eyes widened slightly at her candid remark. Jade lifted a hand to my chest and gave it a few pats. "Now are you going to lead the way and show me how to do our job or do you want me to keep walking ahead so you could inevitability choke on your drool?"

"Ah..uhm— yeah. I mean no, I'll lead the way.." I stutter, quickly side stepping her and walking ahead so she can't see how flustered she just made me. How am I going to do this everyday if I can barley keep my shit together? I've never had a woman call me out like that and although it completely caught me off guard, god was it hot.

Turning my head to look at her on my right as she kept up with my pace, I couldn't help but just stare. How could I not when she looked like sunshine in human form. I had about a million and one questions I wanted to ask her and yet I just couldn't bring myself to start. So instead I put on my best 'I don't give a fuck' face and started to train her for the job.

The word sunshine playing over and over. Gonna be my sunshine.
