"Black."
"Black?"
"Black." An amazing color one which would not attract much attention such as its reputation preceded. It was a smart choice and would provide them enough anonymity. The only trait that would accentuate any oddity was Ryu's eyes. It was inconsequential so long as they kept it such.
Kristoff huffed. "Guys I think she gets it." His comments from the corner of Elsa's cabin ignored in favor of fussing and meticulous details which were in the broad scheme of things ridiculous, he'd just stay leaned against the corner- arms crossed. Satisfied with the results Anna gave "Astrid" Elsa's personal Lady in waiting the last bit of instructions to her role in there court. The alias' creation segued into a long discussion of the possible routes they could go, bodyguard; "That would give Ryu too much freedom to crisping anyone she felt was even close to threatening Elsa. Cofferer; Ryu didn't even fully understand the concept of finances, she thought that humans measured how rich they were by the amount of livestock they accumulated- Elsa loved that reasoning.
Her position was delegated unanimously, one that would keep her in close proximity of Elsa, and remain inconspicuous.
Dressing to represent the royal house of Arendelle had to be accentuated, Honeymaren had brought a formal silver gákti, sleeves embroidered with gold hexagons. It wasn't the attire a chieftain would don but someone of high standard and ranking among her people.
Elsa took great care in dressing Ryu, Anna had brought some clothing mostly fitted for herself but Elsa refuted this vehemently birthing an uncomfortable end to the discussion.
Once alone Elsa, taking advantage of creative liberties, wove a sky blue brocaded gown, simple by most standards yet intricate with threading individual snowflakes along the skirt and fitted sleeves. It was reminiscent of her own gown, but she had to remind herself that hers had to be a bit more extravagant than what her Lady in waiting wore. It was pleasant though to see the dragon in her own designs and fabrics. As silly as it was it gave Elsa a small sense of security for Ryu.
The desired effect for her own dress was a success despite her magic's uncooperative behaviour. Every attempt she made ended up shadowing Ryu's clothes until Elsa willed her focus and requested silence from her friend. Ryu knelt in front of Olaf tying his green and orange bow-tie neatly around his neck and flattening the twigs on his head wistfully commenting about his appearance with a fond voice. "You look very handsome."
"Thank you, you look very pretty, I'm so excited. You know I've only ever been to Corona- it's an amazing place, they call it the land of the sun- have you ever been there?" Ryu shook her head multitasking between listening and perfecting his appearance. "Oh I'll have to take you, Anna and Elsa's family live there-" Ryu had only heard passing comments about the cousin whose life rivaled the girls' in excitement and adventure. She was curious about the extended royal family who had also seemed magical, perhaps it ran in the family.
"Whoa." Heard Elsa from Ryu when stepping from the washroom breathe upon seeing her. The translucent sleeves, somewhat billowing her arms glittered when catching the light leading to the slim fitting deep indigo dress, giving the appearance of silk becoming lighter and lighter in shade as it descended down into a pooling skirt nearly touching the floor. The middle crystal brooch; Arendelle's crocus, surrounded by teardrops flowing downward. Her cyan heels could not be seen unless she took a step showcasing the same design upon their vamps. Ryu noticed the lower length of Elsa's locks were left in slight curls, her left bang delicately pinned by a clear ice crocus overlapping the hair that lay behind it. Smirking Ryu tugged lightly at the white velvet cape attached to her shoulders by two silver ringlets, tutting her teeth.
Swatting her hand away Elsa did a final once over of herself and Ryu. Initially Ryu thought Elsa was the picturesque image of a queen until she saw Anna, arm linked to Kristoff's. She turned to them away from the sight of the strange foreign land. Anna's red hair rivaled the sun's gleam, some coifs escaping in bangs and the rest pulled back into a bun of curls hiding behind her silver enameled a crown, circling it were well placed emeralds diamond in shape. reaching from the peak of her head. The shirt black, traveling along the sleeves were ornate orange leaves following their slanted journey across her breast tucking into her side. Her skirt was split off to the left, one half dark pine green and the other inner layer a mesmerizing lime. The inside of the cape covering her shoulders was purple, top spilling over in the same color Ryu had seen decorate the Arendelle flag, centered with an orange large design of the Royal symbol. She and her husband matching, Ryu could barely recognize the man, this was the most colors she had ever seen him in. His buttons polished gold and hair coifed in the front like Anna's.
Her eyes shimmered when she saw Elsa, filling with pride when her sister took her rightful place on the queen's left with Honeymaren flanking Kristoff's right. Ryu had stopped her trailing of Elsa in shock at how splendorous the group looked. It reminded her of their stations and regal blood, and for the first time she felt like a commoner among them.
That was good. Their rouse would be believable. Hopes dashed, hopes of an uncertain future, she was brutally reminded that she and Elsa were not equals. Elsa was a goddess of winter, former queen and savior of an entire nation compared to what she was, a caricature of an extinct race, a coward, a monster, a murderer who did not deserve the grace and care Elsa extended to her.
The spirit believed in her, that she was strong and brave so she'd be those things. Yes she would break, but she'd break carefully not shattering everywhere and when this was over she could pick up the pieces and glue them back together again.
Elsa looked over her shoulder to ensure Ryu was in her proper place and not sniffing around. She had been to Ruskland before and showed great restraint when came time to fully dock. It was a bizarre sight seeing the dragon look like nothing more than a servant in not only dress but demeanor as well, even her steps light and not cumbersome- a proper little lady of court with her hands folded in front of her, head slightly bowed and eyes glancing but never staring. It both soothed and rattled Elsa's nerves, they wouldn't be discovered if Ryu kept her manners up yet it felt wrong to have a creature such as Ryu behave this way. She even refused to hold Olaf's offered hand.
Ryu didn't require to look around though it was tempting, she had been in this capital before, the air in comparison to Arendelle was not warm, tepid, not welcoming or quaint. Where Arendelle preferred wood and using the natural resources of its environment, this place valued stone, and various marbles, statues decorated the streets.
Their naval presence not heavily relied upon but still present. The Neoclassical buildings were tall and strong held up by dark cobblestone roads filled with people and carriages despite the harsh and vast landscape surrounding the opulent city. All eyes were upon the royal party as they entered the territory.
Ryu closed her eyes briefly. She held no desire to retreat back into herself and bring forth the subservient shut down prisoner she imagined still existing within a hunched dark corner not cowering outright, instead dead in the eyes; a ragdoll who stood apathetically carrying out any order given, obedient, ignoring all instincts.
Hearing their approach first, synchronous foots steps which number could not be discerned until they were seen.
Fourteen soldiers, broad-shouldered, and large in stature led the charge, fitted in infantry coats shinning in gold-braided galloons tied around their hips. Their sharp eyes matched the pressed uniforms of thick, cotton, black trousers, spic and span white gloves and hard-heeled black boots.
At their rear an officer marched along in a summer cherkeska. His medals were heavy crested in gold and silver which he wore proudly attached to his red chest. His command choreographed a split of the soldiers into two ranks, not breaking stride in their mission to greet the royal family who had never seen a display such as this. Beside him a stiff little woman in a corseted white dress, puffing out at a pale blue skirt, the torso laced with grey trimmings, looking entirely out of place among the gruff men. Her features were delicate and small, one could see her face was set by her nature; commanding, calm, and conscientious. "This is a little much if you ask me." Olaf whispered to Anna forcing her to stifle a laugh.
They halted in front of the Royal family of Arendelle awaiting a tall and thin announcer with a mismatched loud boisterous voice to introduce the caravan. "Presenting Dutchess Ophelia Maria Alexandrovna Dmitrieva-Mamonova, as well as Major General Konstantin Grigory Sokolov of Her illustrious majesty's Army." Everyone, including Elsa and Anna, found themselves shocked not saying a word, they kept this masked behind placid modest smiles. The ruler of Ruskland had sent her highest ranking General and a dutchess who, given her last name and house was of some relation to the Royal family to greet them. It drew the question in their minds, how much impression and reputation Arendelle, being small and quaint had built with the rest of the world to be granted such an audience immediately upon arrival. Stepping forward was the dutchess who spoke first addressing them, again superceding expectations, by both not allowing the General to take charge of the interaction-in a society that was incredibly patriarchal- and speaking in a poised English accent which made her Nordic words come off way more posh sounding.
"It is a honor to make your acquaintance and for you to prestige our great Empire with your audience. Her Majesty Queen Anna Oldenburg Árnadalr, Guardian and Sovereign of the Northernmost Realm among the Nordic isles, Commander in Chief of the Fridtjof Nansen Fleet and Sten valkyrja army." Her curtsy in the dress seemed impossible until she performed it with nothing except elegant dignity. Turning she addressed Kristoff paying the same respects to him and Elsa. "Consort Prince Kristoff Bjorgmen to her illustrious. And Lady Elsa, blessed fifth spirit, gift to the Northern Realms, personification of Skaði's kiss upon the world." Elsa gulped quietly, while flattering it was also jarring hearing the titles she had been given by the rest of the world. She especially hated the comparison or having any Affiliation with gods and goddesses of her Nordic culture. Impressively the woman held her equanimity when faced within what should have been an unknown person but once again proved to be completely erudite when nodding her head to Honeymaren. "And greetings friend of Elsa's, Honeymaren Nattura of Northuldra and master Olaf Árnadalr."
"Master?" He questioned aloud but was ignored by the woman who kept her trained eyes blinking towards the queen.
Stillness paused between the two groups, The dutchess did not seemed misplaced by the slight lack of decorum from Anna's hesitation to speak faltering slightly as she began. "Thank you Dutchess Ophelia for this most... Gracious and prestigious welcome it is a great pleasure to meet you and you as well General Konstantin."
The grim faced man bowed at the queen's recognition. His accent was that of Ruskland, thick, deep and smashing the Nordic tongue harshly but expertly. "We hope your stay is prosperous and enjoyed. We have prepared carriages to escort the Royal family to the Dmitrieva-Mamonova palace." They followed his gesture to three lavished chariots gilded with gold and red satin, led by large Don horses. Anna was taken aback when they boarded. She and Kristoff were to share their space with the Dutchess, while Elsa- needing not to be directed- took to the carriage behind hers with, Honeymaren and the general. Elsa gave Anna a look of apologies but beseeching her to understand. The siblings in Arendelle may have been inseparable there, it was not the custom here. Instead of being the sides of a magical bridge, equal yet different, here Elsa was a lower rank than Anna, a hard concept she would have to get used to. Elsa was most expecting. Anna wasn't the only one perturbed with the arrangement. Ryu and Olaf would be riding in far back together alone, when she approached the horses neighed and tried rearing up in agitation with her presence causing a minor disturbance. Their handler berated them back into submission, clearly annoyed.
Clasping the handle to enter Elsa lingered watching, her brows furrowing and lips set downward, a robust voice spoke from behind. "Our horses here have brave hearts, strong bodies, and stubborn minds." He sneered but only in jest moving towards their steeds "Riding one is not for the faint of heart, I've seen one cripple a man!" The hearty slap on the horses rump triggered a small kick. Jumping back the General chuckled while pointing to the animal. Elsa grinned back, he was one of infectious laughter dispersing all precursors to what he'd be like when they first saw him.
"I am very fond of them-" he continued climbing in after the women politely sitting across from them. "Fond of all, beautiful animals. They can read people." Elsa and Honeymaren giggled at his joyful thick brows rising in wrinkles when he pointed at them. "I truly believe it, I believe it. They know a man's heart like no other. Lady Elsa?" She gifted him her attention already feeling at ease in his presence. Admittedly having a soft spot for any who treasured animals and their intelligences. "You have a water bronco, uuuh-" he trailed off. "Nokk." She corrected, he gave an enthusiastic nod. "Tell me everything we have about forty minutes to the capital no doubt Dutchess Ophelia is filling their ride with history and- hm- let's speak of more important things- and Lady Nattura your people live and protect reindeer-" his giant hands moved as he spoke animatedly. "I am stranger to them but I must admit... I uh hunt them for food, pelt. I hope that is not too big a blight for you."
Honeymaren remained calm and realistic shrugging her shoulders. "Not at all, if it was I'd be a hypocrite, we hunt deer, and fish and birds. Reindeer provide us with milk and and fur so no it's not General Konstantin... " As she spoke he poured three glasses of vodka handing them out. Oh goodness gracious. Elsa took a deep breath. She did not want to be inebriated in the slightest when meeting the ruler of Ruskland, but she'd have to balance respecting customs and not getting sick. Honeymaren gladly accepted the offering having no problem in holding her liquor. So with fingers Elsa took the glass which iced over instantly in grasp. The General made an appreciative noise of shock and awe at the display of anxiety unbeknownst to him.
"May you please?" He said handing her his own. She obliged and so they spoke in a delightful conversation as the vodka settled and burned her poor insides. Ahtahollan give me strength.
"Why won't you talk to me? Did I do something wrong?" That snapped Ryu out of her daze of sitting, straightened back, palms folded in her lap while staring out the window. She sighed heavily. "No Olaf, it's not you it's just..." She'd have to remain conscious of the footman sitting ahead upon the roof. "You can't treat me like a friend here-"
"But you are my friend, no matter where we are." He scooted closer to her. "Well yes I am but here the rules are different, I'm a servant and servants are not friends. You're going to have to ignore me most of the time-" finally she looked to him. "I'll still protect you, and keep an eye out but you have to do this okay? Remember we're working together-" her eyes went to the windows seeing some civilians stop and gawk at the convoy. "I need you to keep an ear out for anything pertaining to Elsa for me and for her." Ryu knew she wouldn't be able to be everywhere Elsa and Anna went. She was in a position of heavy restrictions once again and it hurt to the point of her promising once alone in privacy she'd vomit all the contents of her stomach. When agreeing to this she didn't take account the entirety of the suffering this role would entail. It wasn't the role its self by any means but the behaviors which were so heavily related albeit in a less oppressive way to the way she was raised. It was a light roleplay that still dug nasty teeth and claws into old scars turning them into bloodied red wounds pulsing with each heartbeat.
"Okay."
She hated depressing him. Olaf was joy incarnate and any who took pleasure in displeasing him were inherently evil as far as Ryu was concerned.
She nudged him. "Hey, when we get back to Arendelle think of all the fun and amazing things we'll do together okay. You still have to show me around and I still have to take you flying." He inhaled deeply holding the breath with his excitement. "Mmm okay let's get this over with! And Sven can join!" She shushed him giggling, it was a reprieve from her current state, the silence they say in less tense and more promising. Eyes flitting to the side she could see the smirking determination of her little buddy. Funnily enough, she had first thought he'd provide Elsa with emotional support but now... She clung her heart to his as one clung to torch surrounded by pitch darkness.
The Dutchess, Anna had learned was a strong woman juxtaposed to her small stature with a voice strong and eloquent in pronunciation and dignity. She almost reminded Anna of Elsa- if Elsa was ridden of anxiety and more outwardly spoken- as she lead the the conversation of the cities history and culture. She was well educated and knew it, confident in who she was but not arrogant. She was somewhat of a stickler and stiff. "-though the many of the structures you witness before you were destroyed in revolt they have been built up, efficiently and some opinion might say more glorious than before in the same baroque style as of the past. Differing opinions wanted a more modern approach."
Anna, chuckling spoke in a playful manner. "If it isn't baroque don't fix it." Kristoff looked to her eyes brimming with adoration as if he fell in love with her all over again. An opposing reaction came from the Dutchess with a arched brow, unamused face. Slowly turning to the window uttering a single. "Quite." Ending all conversation till it was picked up again minutes later.
Anna couldn't help but feel as if the Dutchess was no longer holding them in the same respect, speaking now as if she were educating children, going over the etiquette of court and behavior expected from their family and entourage. Simply speaking; Don't touch anything that looks expensive. It was a rule for children, yet Kristoff knew it was very necessary for certain members of their party his wife included.
Upon arrival it was evident that the city was nothing more than the shimmering scales of a serpent protecting and obscuring the resplendent, daunting, leviathan that was Dmitrieva-Mamonova palace. Everywhere one would look they were bathed in riches and palatial views from just the courtyard alone if one could even name it such a thing. Polished to perfection, every surface was a mirror, from the marble roads, unparalleled opulence of the high and detailed vestibules, three-story building built around a quadrangle, and strong columns sporting sandy tan backgrounds, with golden stucco moldings. Along the roofs statues made by the finest artist in the world, various positions of dance, war, and history of the empire. Even heaven's gates would be envious of the large doorways which surpassed the height of Arendelle's entire castle tallest peak.
Every step of the party could be heard when they entered. The Dutchess didn't have to delegate the staff of the important state visit, maids, and servants bustled around them attending to every need as nobility of the estate bowed and showed respects to the passing royals. Stopping at the entry of the wing every member of Ruskland moved in scary procession to the precise areas of their station. The duchess was especially pleased at the awed and slacked expression of her guests.
"Our staff will be moving your belongings and household items to each designated room of your majesty, as well as escorting you to your chambers. You will meet with her Imperial Majesty tonight at six before a grand feast is served at eight. Please does not hesitate to ask but please-" She pinned Anna beneath a knowing subtle glower speaking purposefully, as if knowing it was within some present's character to wreck havoc. "Hesitate to touch anything within the halls as they hold not just unimaginable monterey value but that of the imperial family's history and esteem."
"You'd think they'd keep such important things away from where they could be broken or shattered if they valued them so much." Olaf's musings enacted small subtle, blink and miss eye twitch from the Dutchess.
Honeymaren was simultaneously amazed beyond belief and disgusted with how distanced from the earth this place and its people seemed. The signs of any nature were well kept exotic plants placed decoratively throughout, none seemed native. As if the residents wanted to be as far away from land as possible while still living in the middle of it.
Elsa sparred a confused glance to her sister debating if something had happened to create such a defensive and embittered tone from their host who had been only perfect and courteous until now. Breeching decorum she grabbed Olaf's hand glancing back at Ryu who remained quiet and still. It was eery to say the least. Sure she didn't want the girl to cause trouble in a place such as this with stakes so high... Just the way she... Shut down as if she didn't exist at all, vanishing within the crowd like a drop of oil in the ocean was... Unsettling. As they were led to their room every single one of them let out a cleansing breath when the servants were shooed away and assured many times that they could manage on their own.
Kristoff laughed as his wife threw herself onto the oversized bed that could fit as far as he was concerned at least twenty people. The room was gauded out with art pieces, plush rugs covering marble floors and a grand window. In fact grand was the only way to describe the gold and crimson room. They had a sitting room, large bathroom that was the size of their own chambers back home and the master bed, with four pillars decorated with burgundy velvet canopies.
"Well this is... Just think this is the guest room and I'm getting a headache just thinking about what the Empress' room looks like." Anna giggled at this leaning up on her elbows.
"I couldn't even imagine this in all the books I read and yet they're scared of us?" Humourous and incredulous she still couldn't believe the wealth she was surrounded by.
"I'll need a map just to find you in the bed." Anna hummed at this raising a coy brow, she eyed Kristoff who knelt on the other side of bed realizing how soft it was. "Hmm and why would you need to find me?" Tone leaking of coquettish intent as he removed his outer coat and shrugged. "Oh to rendezvous for the mission."
Anna sighed, laying on her side eyeing him in appreciation as he lay on his stomach trying to relax beside her, his hand rested upon the dip of her hip. "I think the Dutchess has it out for me."
"You two are literally opposites." He comforted. "And that's okay, she's... " He searched for the right word. "I get the feeling she loves rules." Upon hearing this Anna scrunched her nose in disgust which was kissed by her husband.
"Gross."
Olaf and Elsa stared at Ryu's back facing them as she gazed out the window, probably taking inventory of the view, mapping it out. Exchanging looks Olaf went to exploring the vast room as Elsa stood beside Ryu also taking on the view. "Ryu, you're... Breaking down." The statement wasn't refuted, answered with a absent.
"Yes."
"Why?"
"For this to work." Was there another plan Ryu had in mind? The only plan they'd have was that Ryu came as back up to protect if need be while under a guise. Elsa tried lifting moral while also getting answers but Ryu's posture didn't change from the old discipline she had always kept under certain circumstances to match Elsa's playful goading. "Diverting from the original plan?"
"No."
In the spirit of honesty Elsa spoke her truth. "Ryu please... Don't do this to yourself. I don't know what it is nor will I pretend to but-"
"Erusa what I am doing is needed, I trust you are smart enough to know why. There is something here, dark that wants to hurt you and to uncover it... I must play the part." Elsa now knew what it was. Ryu was suppressing herself, what she was doing, to Elsa, it would be like keeping her powers buried and retorting to wearing gloves again, and she hated it not thinking it would go to this extent after they had come this far. Every thin synapse connected. This was a less abusive role Ryu fulfilled before she escaped Japan. The servitude, and deadened reactions; in Arendelle Cherry was following her own rules, and going solo as vigilante to save her friend she hadn't met too long ago, only knowing that she was the only one who had showed her kindness in her entire life.
This was in far contrast with more at stake. Elsa felt a silent rage beginning to stir towards so many at the same time, from the Mikoto household who crafted Ryu's fear and pain, to herself who was unintentionally doing the same, to the others Ryu encountered showing them the worst of humanity blaming their aggression on the something she couldn't help. She'd protect her, she'd keep Ryu and her family safe while completing this mission. She had faced worse odds before. "Ryu I know you're dedicated to this but... " What was the point not matter what Elsa could have said she knew Ryu would not take heed to her word or any ultimatums and options she offered but she'd still have to try, sickened by the small part herself that hoped Ryu's selfish preservation trait was still alive somewhere in her.
"If this becomes to much you'll back out. We can accommodate for you to easily."
"Hai."
It wasn't agreement, just a mere acknowledgement to what she said. "I'm still going to keep my promises, nothing will keep me from that." She hoped it provided comfort to help Ryu through whatever inner turmoil she was going through. Feeling helpless, she'd have to look at this through another perspective for the sake of her sanity and keeping a level head. If she was to gain back some control of the situation she'd have to bend to the rules Ryu self inflicted upon herself.
Ryu- committed to the role with her unpacking and tending things around the room as Elsa watched her with intense gaze- was her lady in waiting, thus Elsa had a responsibility over her, to not just allow Ryu to care for her but to care for Ryu as well. In her culture Ladies in waiting and handmaidens were respectful woman of lower rank catering to their mistresses as companions most notably from middle classes of families, and sometimes mistresses of the Robes- Elsa froze her thought process. It should not have led there, but either way Ryu in this guise or Astrid of Harmon was- legally speaking- hers since she was not married. Elsa's. Both as a guardian and authoritarian, so long as Ryu was under the Alias of Astrid of Harmon she belonged to Elsa giving the woman some semblance of reprieve and in the darkest reaches of her mind a clandestine itch was sniffing out to be scratched clasping at the opportunity like a wild dog to a calf, not willing to release until it had eaten its full. "Ryu." The dragon stopped her task unpacking not turning to Elsa as if sensing the shift in tone and demeanor of the woman.
"Yes Lady Elsa?" She answered turning slowly enough to send a shiver down Elsa's spine. Ignoring her conscious that told her no, that this was self satisfactory. "Come here." Elsa had never spoken with such authority unwarranted to Ryu before but the dragon approached her at an appropriate distance. Elsa closed their gap, boring down on the girl unwavering with intent that couldn't be shaken from her by concepts like moral ambiguity. She held her eyes exuding all she felt until Ryu could sense it too and hopefully find security and protection.
"If you are to play this part to its full extent then I must too. If we are to be believed. You are my lady and mine in any circumstance legally and morally to protect, and guide...and Have while we are here. You are to obey me and abide by what I say. Do you understand this?" She searched in the purples, pinks and blues for any resistance or perturbation to the arrangement and found none. Ryu kept her gaze, and breathing even, Elsa could see the battle of her nature fighting and thrashing against these words, she wanted to growl and snarl at was being said to her. Her dragon wrestled it down and fought, at what was now crucial to their mission, what had to be done. Submission was not an easy thing to give when one had been tormented by it all their life, finding freedom then once again relinquishing it. She wasn't like the others, who only desired power, and complete reign of a dragon, wanting to beat it down till their strength could be controlled and redirected to carry out their bidding, she was more than that, better than that. Elsa prayed that she was worthy enough to do such a task and fulfill such promises.
It wasn't happening again.
A small voice told Ryu. She was compelled to lash out and handle all this the way she saw fit that would have been easy. It was Elsa who stopped this compulsion. Elsa who did not require respite in this small sacrifice but it was who Elsa was. She looked- no- she was a goddess before Ryu. The setting sun illuminating her figure, her white and blue dress glowing as she easily towered over Ryu. Who was she to refuse this being? Winter incarnate, ending the world if she so willed yet did not in an a kindness thought unattainable. Elsa had saved so many lives and had done the unimaginable. She deserved every bit of reverence she requested and more. She had chosen Ryu to be her follower in this task of preserving her life and thus the lives of thousands. It was a calm for Ryu, ducking her head held up by a weak neck and to bow upon wobbly knees. Perhaps this was her chance. A final chance to do something good, a chance to maybe repent for all the sin she had committed against the innocent and undeserving, and if sacrificing what she could paid the price or came remotely close to it, she'd gladly do so without question.
The servitude Elsa felt radiating off of her dragon was intoxicating yet disgusting. She soaked in the sight of the prostrated girl until her resolve broke and she knelt lifting her back up smiling. The storm of emotion she had witnessed in her face, Elsa silently asked if they had gone too far. Ryu didn't have answer.
"Erusa?"
"Yes?" Elsa whispered back, Ryu bit her lip glazing downward then back up again. "I know how my station behaves and the deeds they perform generally both from my life in Japan and from watching people but... I don't-" she sounded completely callow. "Could you tell me my duties to you here now." Elsa inhaled sharply the stood nodding.
And so she began instructing Ryu on what was expected, the dragon wasn't a complete novice already anticipating some of the tasks beforehand but accepted Elsa's tutoring learning something new. They stood in continued silence existences as Ryu mimicked the folding Elsa showed her with their wardrobes which were delivered. Ryu's fingers and arms moved carefully accepting nothing except but perfection in her performance as Elsa felt a new freedom in her stares at Ryu's body then she had before. Liar.
Ryu made her a liar.
Promising to protect her from such attentions Elsa was inflicting upon her, she was also a novice with controlling such growing urges and interests she hadn't felt before in another's body. Ryu's was ideal, at least as far as one could go appraising attraction. From her stature she was short, this seemed to compact all her feminine features to embolden themselves. Her chest was not large or supple enough to be noticed unless she were to wear something tight yet they were there, most of her weight and fat congregated to her thighs, hips, and rear. She had put on some weight from being fed regularly than what she had been needing to hunt or scavenge or go without when Elsa first met her. Her mind wandered to the Arendellian maid uniform barely fitting. Ryu had been underweight substantially and maybe could still be considered such, even in her dragon form her ribs had shown when she twisted or turned, now they showed just a whisper that existed at a certain angle. Upon closer inspection Elsa found herself noticing that minus the obvious differences Ryu as human was shaped similarly to how she was as a dragon. Delicate, strong, and definitely female. Was there sexual dimorphism in the species? She wondered- eyes lidded, watching her move about the room. Every flex, twist, or bend noticed. She sometimes moved comfortably almost floating- bouncing coyly- seemed not all her mannerisms were completely muted and buried.
Good.
A knock jolted Elsa from her appreciative leering like a child caught stealing a sweet. Ryu answered the door speaking with the visitor with a professionalism Elsa hadn't known her capable of. "Well seems it's time to for you to take audience with the Imperial Majesty." She didn't need Ryu's sardonic exaggeration, her nerves were already dreading this moment, the ideation that she could have been meeting someone of incredible influence who wanted her dead or was subvertedly ignorant of schemes brewing underneath her very nose.
Ryu watched her with sympathy take deep breaths.
"I'd come with you if I could..."
