"Last time on Total Drama, it was survival of the fittest, reeling from the elimination of Jaiden the Rats put their all in the challenge. Following a lot of mine shaft shenanigans with toxic waste and Sasquatchanakwa the Rats managed to pull out a victory on the divided Maggots. Heading to the Elimination Ceremony it seemed like a slam dunk for Jo to go home, but Violet not so pleased with how her original team had been playing the game decided to flip, pulling over Carson with her, which was incredibly necessary since Mike's 'acting' is leading him to throw random stray votes. Stay tuned for the most dramatic Elimination Ceremony yet, on TOTAL! DRAMA! REVENGE OF THE ISLAND!"

Theme song

The cast entered the cabin one by one, Mike closing the door behind him. Just as they all congregated in the main living area they heard a knock at the door. Confused, Gwen got up from her chair to open the door. "Chris wants you all to wear your default clothing when you go to bed. AKA the clothing you wore when casted and the ones that we painstakingly made multiple copies of for continuity,' Dakota said breathlessly.

Gwen nodded as she slammed the door in front of Dakota, hearing her collapse to the floorboards just behind.

Confessional, Dakota

Yeah I know it seems weird but they had that last season too. Barring some major wardrobe changes we had the same clothes more or less. Maybe one was lighter than usual or another but whatever. Took a lot of convincing for Lindsay this preseason.

Gwen relayed the information to the group without much trouble and the weird order was quickly glossed over.

Lindsay and Quentin eagerly opened up some ice cream. "Isn't it late for ice cream?" Lindsay asked.

"Nah," Quentin mentioned. "I haven't had this in a couple of days so I've been craving them. Besides, these are sugar free so they're healthier. Gonna wash it down with a banana though."

"That sounds really nice," Lindsay said. "Could I offer some of this to everyone else? We have two gallons in the freezer."

"Might as well, but if they want toppings they are on their own."

Confessional, Lindsay

Quentin really is my closest link on the Rats. I think he really wants to protect me, but I know that Gwen is doing the same thing with JD and that Drizzle is on the fence. Wait, that's DJ and lightning, my bad, but I think we are smooth sailing. Even with Joseraphim on the other side with Mike and Y, we're gonna be fine. I hope so.

At a different set of chairs Carson and Violet sat across from each other with a plate of grapes in the middle, some red some green. "Two rats, two maggots, then a rat, then a maggot, then a shuffle," Carson verbalized.

Violet grabbed the green grapes that represented the rats and the red grapes that represented the maggots and put them on opposite sides. She and Carson split the grapes as they popped them in their mouth. "Tastes good," Violet mentioned.

"Then the Rats stupidly got rid of one of their own," Carson said with a small smile, crunching into a rather big grape. "But then…one of ours went home…" he flashed a suspicious glare at Violet.

Violet crunched a red grape. "So now we're even. Sweet and sour grapes are still grapes. Until we're turned into wine," Violet commented. "No matter what we still are advantaged regardless of who wins. I think we can make it to the merge."

Carson took the last bit of grapes. "So who do we cut? The man with the different faces or the girl in the gray?"

Confessional, Violet

I want to work with the girls! Keep the girl power up, keep the physical threats out, but Mike has that interesting perspective about him. You know how in video games there are some characters who have a different personality? Like Princess Peach can cry and make plants grow? I want to grow a flower with a seed that I got from Mike….ewww…. But honestly it might be worth it.

"The girl in the gray. Jo seems more likely to side with the rats than us in the game, I think old team mentality with those sporting people, you get what I'm saying as an anime fan right?"

Carson rolled a grape around on the plate. "I guess I do. So Jo goes next if we lose."

"Oh for sure," Violet mentioned. She grabbed a small screen off of the table. "That's all we need to say then."

Confessional, Carson

Violet and I voted out Dawn last episode. We still don't know who voted alongside us. It doesn't seem like Mike would be the most trustworthy, but I feel like B isn't trusting us anymore.

Back in the main lounge Lightning and Jo split a protein shake. "No one said it had to be good," Jo started. "Could be better, could be worse, but I'm not complaining."

"Protein is protein," Lightning mentioned. "Not gonna lie I'm surprised you made it outta there without a tiebreaker. The numbers were super funky."

Jo chugged down her smoothie with ease. "I knew Mike would be on my side and Violet and Carson are weaker than they look. And they're already wimps!"

"So do you think we can get them on our side?" Lightning raised an eyebrow.

"They better, otherwise we just keep winning immunities and we get all of us to the end. Nice talk brightening."

Lightning watched Jo walk out of the kitchen with a self assured skip. He turned around to see Mike staring out the window over the sink. "Mikey?"

Lightning got no response. "Come on bud, let's get you some water," Lightning prodded.

Confessional, Mike

I voted out Dawn thanks to Chester. I voted out Dawn because of… AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

Confessional, Lightning

I can't offer too much help but every sha-athlete needs sha-water.

Mike clutched the cup of warm water as he continued staring, barely acknowledging Lightning as he and Lindsay tried to prod the conversation. Elsewhere, Gwen and B sat on the couch together, relatively close, legs relaxed on the coffee table. B procured a series of toys from his coat and placed them on the table.

"Are you sure you're supposed to be showing these to me?" Gwen asked.

B shrugged. He put a purple toy car on the table and 'subtly' kicked it to the floor. Gwen pretended not to know the context as she looked over her shoulder. "I'm gonna make a pass to the lady's room and then turn in. Good talk, B."

As she left she hastily walked past Carson with a rather terse glare. Carson looked at her offended before he turned his direction to B. Holding in his frustration B gulped and held up a glass of water.

"I get what you mean with bygones and bygones," Carson said to B. "But you understand why our game had to be like that right?"

B looked at Carson.

"Come on, give me something!" Carson threw his hands in the air.

Violet walked in between the two 'conversing' boys with a tray of drinks. "Hot chocolate?" she asked.

Both boys took a mug and drank it, staring at each other harshly.

Confessional, B

Hands folded, he looks at the camera, thoughtful. What he knows is not certain

Confessional, Carson

I don't think the maggots will be working with each other until the end…

"Well goodnight," DJ said, walking up to his and Quentin's room. Quentin stayed at the table with the other Rats before he too headed upstairs.

Quentin opened the door where DJ was waiting on the bed to sleep. "Cool if we get the lights now?" Quentin asked.

"Yeah go ahead," DJ said, curling up and staring at the ceiling. "Thanks for complimenting me during that team meeting."

"You pulled your weight this time," Quentin replied. "Not everyday that I get rescued by a big jock. For that matter, not every day I get rescued by a perky goth."

"Gwen has been perking up lately," DJ noted.

"I'd say so. I don't mean any insult by saying this time. I'm just going through the facts that we were the first two out of commission for the first horror challenge on our team. Thanks for pulling your weight more than me, it's fun," Quentin mentioned before turning over in his bed.

DJ looked at the ceiling before he, too, fell asleep.

Confessional, Quentin

DJ is my number one, I don't care what everyone else says in the game. Heather and Leshawna almost made it to the end together, same deal with Scott and Duncan, I wanna make it with him above all else.

Confessional, DJ

I'm starting to believe Lightning less and less about strongarming. If Quentin wanted to backstab me, he would, and I can say, that isn't Quentin.

Later that night the campers had entered the depths of REM sleep slumbering and dreaming about the challenge that would come the next day. Their default wear was rather rough for some contestants like Lindsay who was sleeping in heels and Gwen who slept in her fishnets but for the most part they had slumbered rather peacefully.

Dakota and her team of interns crept through the second floor of the fancy cabin before stopping on the landing. The stairs had emptied closest to Lightning's room and Violet's room on the second floor. Dakota pressed a finger to her lips as she turned to the other interns, compelling them to shut up as she listened against the door. Hearing no action she opened the door.

"SHA BOOYAH!" Lightning sat up in his sleep.

Flinching, Dakota closed the door to the room as she put on a sparkling KN95 mask. The others grabbed their own as Dakota opened up a small gas canister. They watched as the yellow gas started to spread around Lightning's room. Dakota turned to the others and they nodded, each with canisters in their hands.

Confessional, Dakota

As the representative of Milton Industries, it is advised that any possession of the Milton Industries Seabreeze prototype cologne should not be used in accordance with the gas canisters. The carefully metered doses have been outlined by the Canadian Environmental Services for use in your entertainment.

Confessional, Chris

I would like to cite my own study, published just two years ago, peer reviewed and discussed by fellow experts in prehistoric studies, that the presence of gasses in canisters does not have a significant effect on the wooly beaver population. The effects of the gas on groundwater…well we're only violating aesthetic standards rather than primary health standards so the lawyers can handle that.

Hearing the chirping of a bird, Carson slowly stirred to life as he noticed that his bed was much more uncomfortable. "Huh?" he rubbed his eyes open. He moved his hand in front of his eyes as he slowly sat up, smelling the freshwater that surrounded Wawanakwa. "What?"

On another nearby raft Gwen too was waking up. "Woohoo, lightning wins the superbowl. Sha yeah…" Lightning mumbled in his sleep, grabbing onto Gwen's boots possessively. "Sha yeah…"

Gwen bent down and wrestled the boot out of his hand, losing her balance and falling into the lake with a big splash. "UGH!" she shouted, grabbing onto the end of the raft frustratedly. He held up her boot to see that Lightning had his fingerprints all over.

Her splash went all over the other campers. "Aw what?" "Come on!" "What the-" "Why the-" "Did you call me a -"

"GOOD MORNING WAWANAKWA!" Chris shouted from above in a helicopter. "It wouldn't be a total drama season without us forcibly removing you from your beds!"

"Why'd you even do this?" Gwen bemoaned.

"Yeah, what was the reason?" Jo asked.

"You'll find out," Chris dismissed. "But today your goal is simple: race back, and rescue!"

"Another one?" Lightning asked.

"Why do you need us to rescue cameos anyways?" Lindsay asked.

"Because that's the challenge!" Chris blared his megaphone again. The contestants briefly covered their ears before Chris continued. "This episode our two cameos are stuck on Camp Wawanakwa and you have to rescue both of them. To make things easier, both are stuck in the same place. And the first group to make it back will get an advantage. So make your move and get going!"

Jo and Carson splashed in the lake as soon as the instructions were done. They put their hands on the raft as they began kicking. "Where are we going?" Carson asked Jo in between kicks.

"Somewhere? Maybe the bumbling inventor can make something useful for us so we aren't that wet."

"Then go to that patch of debris!" Carson pointed out.

"I was gonna say that patch but sure," Jo shrugged.

Confessional, Jo

Eh, I'll play nice this time. Not like it's gonna help.

The Rats stared at each other before Quentin suddenly dived into the water, splashing Gwen and Lindsay as they flinched. "Sorry girls but we have to get kicking," Quentin said offhandedly. "I could use some help."

"These boots aren't good," Gwen mentioned as they started moving. She turned to DJ. "Why don't you jump in? Or for that matter blondie?"

"I'm not…nah I'm not messing around with the water," DJ said as he looked over at the surprisingly deep abyss of lake Wawanakwa. "I'd think LIghtning would be able to make a touchdown if he was able to kick us to the goal." DJ said rather loudly.

"Yeah, I don't think Quentin is gonna be able to do it on his own, especially since he was benched last episode!" Gwen contributed.

Gwen's statement was matched with a splash as Lightning dived into the water. "Let's get to the endzone!" Lightning cheered.

Hearing another splash, DJ and Gwen decided to sit down rather nonchalantly, giving each other a silent fist bump.

Confessional, Gwen

Physical threat? Yeah, but we've gotta merge soon. We're almost to the halfway part and you know what? I think I'm finally starting to have fun. It helps that DJ and Quentin are normal and LIghtning and Lindsay aren't as smart as the rest of us. If I keep Lightning around and pry him from that annoying Jo… well I think I actually stand a chance at winning.

Confessional, DJ

Gwen and I are really working together. I do wanna work with her but our goals besides winning immunity aren't lining up. Quentin is still my number one but if I get it in good with Gwen then that's an extra number for our side.

Next to each other, Lightning and Quentin continued their kicking. "Wait doesn't this raft seem a little lighter to you?" Quentin suddenly stopped.

Lightning popped his head over the edge of the raft. "DJ and Gwen are there. You and I are here. Makes sense, we're lighter to me."

"Okay," Quentin said offhandedly. The two began kicking again before they suddenly stopped. "LINDSAY!"

"I'm right here?" Lindsay suddenly bobbed up and down in the water. "I got some paddles so I think DJ and Gwen can paddle if you all are getting tired."

"That's sha-great!" Lightning started. "Toss those babies up to Deej and Gwen and let's all get kicking!"

"But I thought this was a swimming contest, not a chorus line," Lindsay briefly stared at LIghtning.

Closer to the start of the challenge the Maggots kept poking and stirring through the debris. "What exactly are we looking for?" Jo threw her hands in the air. She looked over to see B reaching over to grab something in the water. "A stick?"

B rolled his eyes and made an effort to grab something with a wire. Next to him Violet and Mike leaned over, Mike pointing to an open chest. Curious, Jo and Carson moved next to Mike as they continued staring. "What are we staring at?" Carson asked.

The five Maggots looked at each other up and down the line before the raft suddenly flipped over. "Physics!" Violet shouted.

Confessional, Jo

You think we'd be smarter than that!

Confessional, Violet

Buoyancy.

Confessional, B

He wrings out his hat. A cubic yard of water falls out and floods the confessional. B sighs.

The Maggots struggled to reclaim their balance as they stepped on the raft. "Do we have what we need?" Carson flashed a dirty glance at B. B shook his head. "So we're all sopping wet and in the middle of a debris patch without all the things we need?"

Mike clutched what looked to be a toolbox awkwardly. He put his finger to his chin as he looked around awkwardly. "So what should be the game plan now?" he turned to Violet. "If Dawn were here I think she'd be able to, like, get the vibes of the water if that makes sense," he lamented.

"But she isn't," Violet consoled. She looked at the bundle of debris she was able to drag with her onto the raft. Kicking aside some clothes she found what looked to be a small trilby. She beckoned for Mike to lean over and planted the hat on his unsuspecting head.

Mike suddenly gasped and adopted a rather cocky glare. He heard Carson complain some more before he decided to break off a piece of the raft. "Crikey you're louder than a kookaburra in heat. Almost sounds worse than a haboob in the summer rains. No matter, I'll get this ragtag bunch of mystery mulchers onto the island!" He condescendingly patted Violet on the head.

Grabbing pieces of the raft Manitoba handed a piece to Violet, a piece to Jo, and a piece to B. "Stooges you're gonna need to paddle, Oat Bunches you and me, we're gonna be kicking kangaroos ya hear?"

"Who put you in charge?" Jo asked.

"I didn't see you stepping up, and I didn't see you objecting," Manitoba sighed. "Get paddling."

Confessional, Violet

Mike is a toolbox. He's an asset to those who can see it, you don't have to understand it, but he's gonna keep us safe at least in this challenge.

The Rats made significant headway and were now about halfway to the island. "Hey, do you want to switch places Greta? Sorry Gwen? Gwen? Gwen?" Lindsay asked as her head bobbed up and down in the water. She disappeared beneath the waves as Quentin hoisted her up.

"Yeah sure," Gwen sighed, kicking off her boots. "Thanks for kicking as much as you can Lynze," Gwen said.

Lindsay took Gwen's place at the raft and started paddling. "Jd- DJ, I think you should give Quincy-Quentin and Lightning- Snow- Lightning-snow-hail-Lightning a break," Lindsay said, out of breath.

"I would, but I don't quite like the water. That explosion was about all I could take in the beginning," DJ said bashfully.

"The thing is I don't want you to go home because you didn't go in the water when someone could have given Quentin or DJ a break…" LIndsay mused.

"I'm DJ."

"Who did I say? I think that the point still sashays," Lindsay mentioned. "Here, I saw this under the raft."

Lidnsay handed DJ something big and buoyant that she wrapped around his chest. "That's a big chest you have, but it still fits! And it's such a nice orange! Does that help DJ?"

"Yeah," DJ smiled. He offered Lindsay a fistbump and dove in the water behind Quentin, Lightning, and Gwen. "Hey Lightning, Quentin, one of you can take a break. Lindsay found this for me."

"Do you mind if I take up that offer Q-diggity?" Lightning asked. Quentin shook his head. "Sha boo-yah!"

Confessional, Lightning

I see Lindsay's game, she's totally trying to get DJ and Quentin together and she'll take responsibility for getting them together so they both feel some sha-loyalty to her. I need to keep Quentin safe until the merge so that he can get with Jo.

The Maggots were going at a slightly faster pace than the Rats but were still trailing by a decent amount. "Let's head up, Purp," Jo said as she and Violet decided to move positions on the raft. "Or we can take over for the noodles and the pasta."

"Which one is the noodle and which one is the pasta?" Violet turned confused to Jo.

"Mike's the noodle and Carson's the horsetail pasta, you know how it is Magenta," Jo mentioned. "Come on, back me up, silent Bob."

B looked at Violet and Jo with a shrug as he continued paddling. "Who spit in his bean stew?"

"Beats me," Violet said offhandedly. "I'm gonna switch with Carson if you insist."

"Right as rain," Jo said, continuing to paddle.

Violet took her steps towards the back of the raft, falling briefly into the holes strewn about the raft before stumbling off into the drink. "Careful, you're gonna lose more screws than a kangaroo without a pen."

"I heard you," Violet mumbled.

Confessional, Violet

I THINK we're all speaking the same language but who knows with Mike's fake accent. He doesn't sound anything like Jasmine last season, what's the deal with that?

Another switch later and the Rats only had a quarter left to go through the island. Lightning swapped with Gwen and Quentin finally took a break with Lightning, leaving DJ to paddle on his own. "So, Q-Dawg," Lightning prodded.

""Never heard that nickname before. I don't wanna hear it again," Quentin breathed.

"Sheesh, sha-grumpy. Do you think the three of us Rats are gonna be safe for the next elimination? The sha-merge has gotta be coming soon."

"Get rid of Gwen or Lindsay? That sounds like a good idea," Quentin mentioned. "Our conversations still stand and I think we're all wanting to get rid of Gwen. She seems more connected to the Maggots."

"You sha-think?"

"I sha-think," Quentin said as he leaned back on the raft, his arms stretching behind as he closed his eyes. He patted a log next to him as they lied down, staring at the sun. "We gave Lindsay and Gwen their chance."

Lightning closed his eyes as he turned them up at the sun. The sun's beams glinted off of their bodies as they seemed to float about aimlessly, the moment of peace suddenly interrupted when Quentin was dragged headfirst into the water. Hearing the loud splash DJ dropped his oar and ran to the side. "Quentin!"

Feeling the raft suddenly go unbalanced LIghtning tried to run to the otherside, only for the raft to fully tip over and send all of them into the water. The two looked underneath, with Gwen holding her chin and Lindsay holding her cheek from much higher in the water. Lightning pointed to Quentin being roughed up and spun by Fang.

Seeing the emergency unfold, Lindsay and DJ started to dive underneath to get Quentin further up. As Quentin started to lose consciousness Lindsay handed DJ a high heel. Thinking quickly he fashioned it against the oar he was still holding and kept kicking downward. He got to a point where he was able to bop Fang on the nose. The shark looked at him indignantly before he looked up and started to swim to Gwen.

DJ turned around and pointed to Lightning, gesturing to the boisterous jock to protect Gwen. Lightning swam up to the Goth and pushed on the raft. While Fang readjusted he failed to notice that Lindsay and DJ were dragging a limp Quentin up. Fang snapped his fingers and swam back in the depths. His duties for the episode finished, he sat on the lake bed and started watching another show that aired on the Drama Network.

Back on the raft DJ put his ear to Quentin's chest. "He's still alive," he smiled. Quentin seemed to moan and groan as he was tilted onto his side. LIghtning thumped him on his back and he coughed up a load of water. "You okay Quentin?" DJ asked.

Quentin blinked as he reoriented himself. "I am now," he gruffed out. "Thanks everyone."

"It was mainly DJ," Gwen said offhandedly. "Lindsay gave him a shoe and he made quick work of the shark."

"Nice to know," Quentin said. "We've got an eighth of the way to go. Let's not kick."

Confessional, Quentin

Strategizing is dangerous, don't let anyone fool you.

Confessional, Lindsay

Sometimes I don't think Gwen gives me enough credit, but at least she pointed out that it was my shoe. I mean, I don't really have to impress her, but some credit would be nice.

"Do you see the Rats anywhere?" Carson asked, coming up for air. He looked at B who shrugged.

"No, but I see the island and it's getting bigger!" Violet said optimistically. "Let me hop in with you so that we can kick better!"

With a splash Violet jumped in, handing off the oar to Manitoba while she put her hands on the edge of the raft. The two continued kicking until- "Hey did the water get really pink to you?" Violet suddenly asked.

"Why do you-"

Carson was dragged under the water. "Horsetail!" Jo- worriedly called out. "What the fuck is in these waters?"

B looked around the raft and was greeted with a basketball sized eye. He turned to JO and mimed something like a suction. "So you're either telling me to shove it, kiss you, or a squid?"

B eagerly nodded as Carson suddenly reemerged, scrambling onto the raft and causing it to tip over again. The Maggots flocked around the flipped over raft as they tried to recover the oars but another tentacle grabbed the oars and threw them away. A pair of yellow eyes each attached to a three spiked eyebrow joined them as they all backed away uneasily.

"Crikey!" Manitoba exclaimed.

"Gee Willikers!" Violet shouted.

"H-E- Hockey sticks!" CArson called

"FUCK!" Jo cursed.

The octopus and Maggots turned to Jo awkwardly. "What else was I supposed to say? Jinkies?"

The Maggots gave a shared shrug as the octopus wrapped up Jo, Carson, Violet, and B. "Ain't you a beaut big one," Manitoba almost cackled, fixing his hat. "But we're gonna need to rumble with the hoodads and the crawfish under the billabong! COWABUNGA!"

Confessional, Violet

I thought this iteration of Mike was Aussie, not a surfer.

Manitoba managed to use an oar as something of a sword and lance as he jumped over the many tentacles of the giant octopus. "A ten ringed octopus? Reminds me of my grabby aunt Gabby's grabby girlfriend Gertrude. GIT GOT GRUMPY GRIMY GIMP!"

"Gimp?" Carson asked Violet as they stopped their momentary struggle. The maggots divided their time between struggling and watching Manitoba attack the octopus. Jo was the first to break free with her tentacle and grabbed another oar to join Manitoba at the battle.

The octopus now dividing its attention between the two athletic warriors, Carson and Violet were able to slip free and help B get out of the octopus' grasp. B took the longest, taking time to make sure his coat wasn't damaged, but Jo and Manitoba led a tentacle over the one the octopus was using to grab B. B dropped to the ground at the impact and adjusted himself as the five gathered at the center of the raft. "What's the plan?" Violet asked Manitoba.

"Stay alive," Manitoba said through gritted teeth.

Off in the distance the Rats made it to shallower water and were currently breaking into a clumsy run up the shore. Jo barely took notice as the octopus rose three tentacles in the air and slammed them all down on the raft, creating something of a lever that catapulted the Maggots almost to the shallow end. In the tumble Manitoba lost his hat and took a gasp that was met with a lot of water. "What-"

"SWIM!" Carson shouted, already where the waves of the lake were lapping on the shore.

The Maggots ran as best as they could but the Rats had already collapsed on the sandy shores of Wawanakwa. "The Rats made it back first! Misfortune strikes the Maggots as they meet our new mutated octopus. Not to be confused with the tree squid. Unfortunate."

"Whoo," Gwen cheered tiredly.

Dakota rushed up to the campers and gave them all towels. "Why the towels?" Lindsay asked.

"Something, something camera angles and water," Dakota mumbled. "Just a courtesy, we need five minutes to get set up for the second part of the challenge."

The campers quickly dried off and gathered around Chris as a small outdoor base was set up. "Okay campers, you've raced across the water, and now you'll race across the land! You'll have to make your way northward to a special site past different dangers and find the end goal. That's it, any questions?"

Quentin shot his hand up immediately. "Mclean you promised us an advantage, all ten of us didn't spend that time in the water just to get wet, where is it?"

"Well, I was sort of lying when I said that the first team to make it would get an advantage," Chris taunted to the groans of the Rats and the cheers of the Maggots. "Rather, the Maggots get a disadvantage and the Rats remain unharmed!"

The Maggots groaned as a black crate dropped from the sky, exploding in front of Chef who remained unflinching. Chef held up several weighted belts as the interns rolled a flatscreen monitor from off screen. The interns turned on the monitor to seemingly reveal wood slats. "What's that supposed to be?" Gwen asked.

"Our cameos," Chris smiled maliciously.

Sounds of life came from the screen as a dark skinned hand suddenly shot up. DJ flinched at the jumpscare as a panting face suddenly came into view. "Where in the name of Uluru are we?" a familiar Australian accent voiced.

Chris turned on a small walkie talkie before speaking up. "Good afternoon Jasmine, you're one of our two cameos for today!"

Jasmine, on screen, looked around bewildered, suddenly kicking something fleshy. "SHAWN?!" she screeched.

A pale and scruffy hand shot up from out of frame as they suddenly rolled around in what seemed to be a very tight space. "WHERE ARE THE ZOMBIES?!"

Chris poorly held his laughter in as the two teens began banging on the door. "Yeah don't bother. If it makes you feel better I'm in front of your rescuers who are going to dig you up."

Jasmine took a steady breath as she smiled uneasily at Shawn. "You hear that Jasmine?" Shawn tried to reassure. "We're going to be dug up. We're going to be rescued from…"

"DID YOU SAY DIG US UP?! YOU AND YOUR CONTRACTS HAVE SURE HAD THE FAIR SUCK OF THE SAV! WORDS CAN'T DESCRIBE HOW MUCH YOU NEED TO GET STUFFED, OR BETTER YET, GO DOWN ON A WANKER AND YOU CAN TAKE YOUR CONTRACTS AND SHOVE THEM UP THE NEAREST BOGAN'S STUPID UNSHAVED-"

"Well there goes our censorship budget for the day," Chris turned off the radio and cut off the video feed.

"So we rescue Darjeeling and Evan from underneath? Do we get anything to figure it out?"Lindsay asked. "No hints or anything?"

"Well that's where I was lying again! Rats, you actually get a compass and a map to get to the northern shore of the island. That's where Jasmine and Shawn are buried. Now get off, our Awful Aussie and our Zombie Freak have over an hour of air and the race to the north is going to take an expected forty five minutes."

The Rats started to run off, shortly trailed by the Maggots, only for Chef to stop the lot of them with several metal belts and his giant arm. "Pretty boy says that this is your punishment," Chef said, tying the Maggots' arms to their waist.

"How much does this weigh?" Mike asked.

"25-30 pounds," Chef said. "Or was it Kilos? Ah who cares, not like any of you are American anyways, let's call it Kilos and call it a day. It's heavy and it's supposed to suck!"

Confessional, Mike

You know I might try to get one of these for my daily life. It's unwieldy but it goes around my waist so that means no Vito. Look, I need Svetlana and Manitoba more than Chester and Vito. Vito's cost me a lot of drama with my… you know… and then I have a lot of problems with… you know, Chester, but I can't be frustrated.

Confessional, Violet

At least this isn't on our heads or anything, that'd be worse.

Confessional, Quentin

…HEY!

Lindsay looked behind her as the Rats started their sprint into the woods, Quentin holding the compass and LIghtning holding the map. The campers looked around them, unknowingly tripping a wire that caused a branch to go flying into Gwen's face. She spiraled out of sight down a nasty tumble down a hill. The Rats screeched to a halt as they looked around for her. "Lindsay hold this, we're gonna look for Gwen," DJ handed the two rewards off.

"Sure NJ," Lindsay said offhandedly. She craned her neck behind her to see the Maggots grab at their sides while B dropped something from his jacket. In an instant all the belts fell to the ground. She couldn't hear their conversation but suddenly turned around as the Maggots almost caught up to her. Hiding the compass and map in her cleavage, she started to run and faked a fall into the mud. "Ohhh," she called out dramatically. "My nail!"

"She's not gonna give us anything," Jo barked. "One of the losers on the Rats must have the compass and the map!"

Lindsay slowly made her way up and ran back to the spot where they all congregated after the first half of the challenge. She looked at the items cluelessly before one of them suddenly beeped when she held the compass up to it. "A metal detector?" Lindsay wondered. She grabbed one of the items, a weird hoop thing, and ran back where the other rats were congregating.

"Where'd you run off to Lindsay?" Gwen asked.

"E got the penalties off of the team. I thought it could come in useful. There's a reason we have to have these things right?"

"Good eye," DJ said offhandedly.

"Surprisingly so," Gwen added in a small whisper.

"We have all three of these things," Lindsay mentioned. "So that should help us right? And if I cause us to lose…then you can vote me off."

"Sounds good to me," Lightning said. "Now let's sha-run!"

Confessional, Lindsay

Sometimes these reality shows offer dummy penalties. There's always a blessing in disguise! And you know what, I am a team player! More than Gwen has been doing and more than Blizzard has been playing. I know my place.

Confessional, Gwen

What an idiot.

Confessional, B

He strokes his chin, thinking, but he shrugs whatever he's thinking out of his head.

Confessional, DJ

Well that made our decision much easier.

Having lost sight of the Rats, the Maggots started to circle among themselves. "They said somewhere north," Mike gasped. "B, do you have like a compass or something?'

B rummaged through his coat before pulling out a wire. He snapped his fingers. Maybe the belts could have provided something. He suddenly wet his finger and began orienting himself to the wind, trying to find the trace of the wind.

"That's gonna take awhile, but I see the beach if we need to use that. Worse comes to worse we follow the beach to the northern end," Violet suggested.

"This time let's see if the silent genius has anything up their sleeves," Jo mentioned. She looked at her other teammates. "What? I just wanna see if he has anything."

Confessional, Jo

That means Mike and I get a scapegoat that we can use to turn the votes. If we get rid of a smart Maggot then the Rats are gonna be in much more debt to us.

B pointed in a random direction and the campers were off. Not far away the Rats saw the Maggots head off in what seemed to be the wrong direction. The Rats suddenly sprinted off to the right just offscreen. Several minutes later the Rats encountered a giant swamp. "What happened to this island?" Gwen asked.

"I don't remember this on any jogs," Lightning mentioned.

They huddled close to each other as the swamp seemed to bubble and lurch. Quentin unfolded the map and handed half to DJ. "It says that they're on the other side of the swamp. Do we go high or go through?" Quentin asked.

"I don't wanna damage these shoes, and the compass, so maybe we go high?" Lindsay offered.

"That sounds like a decent way of thinking," Gwen said offhandedly. "You all are gonna have to keep me up, I'm not as tall as any of you."

Quentin climbed up a nearby tree and grabbed a branch, dropping it down to Gwen as she was able to shuffle her way up. She took a step on a branch as it cracked underneath her. Before she fell in, Quentin barely caught her with one open hand, his fingers curled around a tiny branch and his legs looped around a thicker one. The two were able to get to sturdier ground and Quentin got Gwen closer to the base of a tree as Lindsay, DJ, and Lightning climbed another tree nearby. "Thanks," Gwen said quietly.

"No problem," Quentin huffed.

Confessional, Quentin

Plus two ape indexes. Really comes in handy at the gym. Six foot six wingspan, as long as DJ is tall. Really helps out when climbing.

On a separate part of the island B kept picking at his coat for some reason. Noticing him fidgeting, Violet sidled next to B. "Are we going in the-"

B held up a finger to Violet. He turned his head around to look at Jo and Mike preoccupied with a giant tree trunk. He put his finger to his head as he and Violet looked at each other. "No idea what you're trying to do," Violet shrugged.

Carson rushed up to his teammates with a confused look on his face. "Any idea where we're supposed to go?" he asked B and Violet.

B turned to Violet. Violet turned to B. B turned to Carson. Carson turned to Violet. They turned to the camera. B held up his finger. "That way into the woods?" Carson clarified.

B nodded. "Let's run then," Violet decided.

Confessional, Carson

Might as well go along with what B says, don't wanna get too much on his bad side.

Further along in the swamp the rats were making their way across the treetops with precariously balanced feet. Quentin, surprisingly agile high above the swamp, made his way to a nearby tree with three branches, sitting on the one closest to the bottom. He used vines dangling down to establish more stability as he held his hand out for Gwen to reach. Gwen grabbed his forearms and the two remained steady as Gwen looked at the compass. "So I'm looking at this and I think we need to get across that thorny bog," Gwen directed Quentin's attention to an arch of thorns.

Quentin nodded as he suddenly noticed Lightning waving from a nearby tree. "Keep an eye out for Lindsay and DJ, and an arm out for that matter."

Lightning pointed wildly to the vines that Quentin was reclining on. Quentin grabbed one of the vines and whipped it over to Lightning. Lightning made an attempt to grab it only to fall down into the swamp with a loud splash. "Oh for crying…" Quentin murmured. He climbed down the tree and waded his way to Lightning. The two met up in the swamp as Gwen carefully made her way around the trees.

She met up with Lindsay and DJ coming from another tree and the three steadied each other as they made their way across. "Does Quentin know where we're going?" DJ asked.

"Yeah, I told him those thorns. Lindsay, you're grabbing your boobs a lot, are you okay?"

"Hmm? Yeah, I don't want to lose these things," Lindsay pulled out the metal that was attached to the belts. "I think Violet told me that this is Edgar Allan Poe's Gun or something like that. So I'm keeping it."

"Right..." Gwen droned. Before she could think of the next word to say Lightning and Quentin began splashing round in the swamp. The three looked down to see them chased by a mutant alligator. "Let's get going."

Confessional, Lindsay

If we are lost… I really hope that was Y took off of the maggots was actually a metal detector.

"We've been running in this clearing for so long! I haven't even seen the other team!" Mike complained. The Maggots kept running and decided to turn into a thicker part of the forest, a rather thick bramble that was getting uncomfortable.

Carson and Jo made a jump over a rather thorny thicket but Mike tripped over a rock, knocking his head against a rather spiky tree. "Oww…" Mike said, suddenly gasping. "Dang trees, back in my day deforestation meant that trees like you would happily just..DIE!"

B and Violet turned to Mike, confused, as he hunched his back over and awkwardly chased after Carson and Jo. "Back in my day we didn't have running, we just walked. We were just happy to get to places!"

"Does that seem strange to you?" Violet asked B, who shrugged. Violet held an inquisitive glance at Mike as he suddenly tripped over another rock, sending him spiraling into a thicket. The two ran up as Mike struggled, riding his shirt up in the process.

"Ay yo, hands off the merch," Mike gasped again. "Though you can keep your hands on me if you want," Vito flirted with Violet. Again, Violet and B glanced at each other as Violet walked up to Vito. "Yeah I know how that-"

"None of that," Violet gruffed. She looked to B and the two of them wrestled Mike's shirt down, Violet almost disappointed at the sudden disappearance of the eye candy. Mike gasped again and looked almost confused with his big bug eyes. "Well, let's run."

"Agreed," Mike said briefly, suddenly sprinting off.

Violet and B glanced at each other and suddenly chased after Mike.

Confessional, B

Heholds up a dice inquisitively. What was Mike up to?

Confessional, Violet

So you're likely going to be splicing this confessional with B because… well…Mike is…weird, but he might be more useful than Lindsay in keeping me, Gwen, and Jo safe.

"Ugh, why does this island even have a swamp?" Carson groaned. His shoes made a disgusting squelch on the unstable ground as they meandered through the maze of roots, swamp things, algae, and other gross stuff. He kept his head up as he slowly trailed behind Jo, getting hit with Jo kicking some swamp stuff in his face.

"Get used to it, cream puff," Jo said. "When we get to the merge we can't help each other out as much as we want. Or as much as we can."

Carson opened his mouth to retort before he was suddenly plowed over. "Come on," Lightning shouted, righting himself on the swamp ground. "You gotta move Carson, if I was actually trying you'd be tackled away!"

Quentin splashed next to the growing group as they all caught their breath. "Where's the rest of your team Rainbow Brat?" asked Jo.

Lightning and Quentin stared at each other before Lightning spoke up. "Oh they went-"

"Hey!" Quentin shouted. "We can't tell them that we're running in another direction because we're trying to misdirect the maggots! Shut up!"

"Thanks brat," Jo sneered. "Let's get the losers and run for the coffin munchers."

Lightning and Quentin stared at each other before they suddenly heard Carson and Jo scream. "Do you still have the sha-map?" Lightning asked.

"No, I think the girls have it," Quentin theorized. "Let's go off in that general location."

Confessional, Lightning

I'm glad Quentin picked up on my vibes. That'll be good in the merge.

The other three rats made it through the thicket with a tumble. "Owww…" moaned LIndsay. "I think I actually did break a nail."

"We'll fix that later," DJ said as Gwen rolled her eyes. "Yo, where do we need to go?"

"This is the largest area on the map and the x covers all of it," Gwen said as they looked at the expanse of beach all around them. "I don't suppose you have ESP with your boobs, Lynze."

"Hmm," Lindsay said as she put her chest to the ground. In a gratuitous bit of fanservice she scraped her chest along the ground, stopping as she felt some vibrations along her chest. "HERE! THERE'S SOME MOVING HERE!"

Gwen and DJ shrugged as they joined Lindsay at the spot where she suddenly started digging. Without much to go off of, the two started digging. Lindsay shifted her clothes to obscure the beeping just in case the maggots showed up. She turned to the camera with a wink before digging just behind DJ and Gwen.

Confessional, Lindsay

Sometimes you have to listen to your heart and get the passion straight from the chest. (The remainder of the confessional is censored due to gratuitous fanservice)

Gwen, Lindsay, and DJ dug through the ground as Quentin and Lightning returned from distracting the mutated alligator. "Lindsay, are you sure this is where the beeping was going off?" Gwen skeptically asked.

"I'm sure!" Lindsay called frantically. She looked around in desperation to see Gwen crouched on something rather shiny. "Gwen you're on it!"

Gwen moved as DJ picked up the shiny object. "A key?" DJ asked.

"I guess they're locked somewhere," Lindsay hypothesized. The three began to think as they saw something move on the undisturbed grass. "There!"

"I saw the Maggots coming," Quentin explained. "They aren't gonna be stupid for too long, what's that?

"A key," Lindsay said helpfully. "Come on, let's get digging!"

The swamp covered Maggots wandered into frame, wiping their eyes as they cautiously avoided the recoiling alligator. "Look, they started digging there," Carson pointed out.

"I think they gave up! Let's continue!" Violet pointed out.

Violet, Carson, and Mike ran over to the pit. B held back Jo as they looked around, finding the Rats digging somewhere else. "How did they know?" Jo asked. B shrugged. "Dig next to them so we can get the-"

"I hit something!" Quentin called out. The Rats began to paw at an open portion of the ground where dark wood was peeking through. They quickened their pace and exposed more of the wood. Suddenly, a loud thump came from inside. "It's them!"

Before they could get rid of more dirt to unearth the metal lock that triggered the metal detector a dark skinned hand suddenly punched through. All the rats besides Quentin backed away hesitantly as Jasmine tore open the rest of the wooden casket. When Jasmine finally broke free she noticed the first person, Quentin, and punched him in the face. "GET ME OUT OF HERE!"

Jasmine jumped up the rest of the slope as Quentin recovered from the recoil. "Sorry about that, I'd react the same way if I was trapped with a zombie rather than Jasmine," Shawn shrugged. "Well you won at least. I'm supposed to stay here until Chris gets here."

Confessional, Gwen

You know what? I would have reacted the same way as Jasmine. I don't envy her.

A loud megaphone blared as Chris descended from the sky in a slowly lowering helicopter. He dropped down the flimsy ladder as he addressed the contestants once they were all out of the hole. "RATS! Good job on winning this-"

"MCLEAN!" Jasmine interrupted. "YOU BETTER GET YOUR HEAD SCREWED ON BECAUSE I'M POPPING IT RIGHT OFF!"

Chris squealed as Jasmine picked up a branch and chased Chris around the digging site. He whispered into a walkie talkie as Shawn, Chef, and the others looked on blankly. "Well I suppose I gotta be the adult again," Chef sighed. "RATS! Shawn has the true reward for you all. MAGGOTS YOU STINK! GET THINKING WHICH OF YOUR TEAM YOU DON'T WANT IN THE MERGE!"

Jasmine caught up to Chris and held him high above the ground threateningly before an offscreen tranquilizer dart hit Jasmine in the neck. Chris fell to the ground in an unceremonious heap while several interns carried Jasmine off. Shawn handed a small envelope to Gwen before he chased after his girlfriend. "Good luck everyone, the merge is the real game, don't get zombified!"

Chris caught his breath. "Yeah, you better get scrambling Maggots," Chris mentioned. "And make it good because someone found the hidden Chris Idol."

The Maggots stared at each other worriedly as they were unceremoniously shipped off screen.

Confessional, Lindsay

…hmm…then that means… (she holds up a leaf that she's been carrying since the nighttime challenge) I think that this could still be useful but now I'm not so sure.

Confessional, Violet

I want to think that I'm safe, I really do, but with that idol gone no one is safe except that idol holder.

After Challenge

"We really need to touch base I think here Carson. Because with a merge heavily impending we need to make sure we make the right choice," Violet explained to the anime nerd as they strolled back to the cabin.

"Alright, what're you thinking here? Obviously you mentioned the merge should we get rid of a challenge threat?" Carson replied, running his hand through his hair.

"I mean Mike, Jo, and B are all great at challenges, and we'd have the numbers to take any one of them out."

Carson pondered this for a second, "Between the three if they're all good at challenges, would it be best to take out the one most socially connected?"

"I don't think Jo is particularly liked by anyone, so I feel like she could be someone worth having as a shield." Carson nodded in agreement while bringing his hand up to his chin in thought.

"I think we all know Lightning and Mike are pretty close, so by extension he'd probably be close with DJ and Quentin as well."

"That is likely, and who knows fully where Lindsay and Gwen sit in that group. But what about B, we just blindsided him last round, can we fully trust him?" Violet stated causing the two of them to stop in their tracks.

Confessional, Violet

Whether Carson agrees or not, I don't really care. I'll more than happily lay in the bed I've made. That other team all has a bunch of meat head jocks who are good at challenges, they'll all take each other out and I'll just be playing Danganronpa.

Carson eyebrows raised in surprise. "I feel like he wouldn't have much choice but to trust us."

"But merge is obviously probably next, he could easily flip over to the other team, their dynamics could be more united especially since they've been safe for two rounds."

"That's possible but wouldn't Jo or Mike just do the same?"

"Not if we keep them, and it feels like that Jo and Mike were on the bottom of whatever jocks alliance they may have had over there."

"I guess…"

Confessional, Carson

I think I've realized the hole I've put myself in here. I think I need to convince Violet to flip back to save B otherwise, my goose may be cooked.

Confessional, Violet

He overcooked his goose harder than Teruteru overcooked his murder plot.

The camera cut over to B guestiering to Mike and Jo who were nodding feverishly yet were looking at each other confused. B held up a video game controller, and a little Goku head.

"So you want to work with us to vote off one of the two nerds?" Jo questioned

B nodded hastily before holding up the controller leaning his head towards it.

"But you'd prefer Violet to go instead?" Mike asked.

B nodded then drew a snake in the dirt and put the controller next to it and drew an equals sign between the two.

"Violet is a snake you say? What makes you say that?" Jo asked the genius.

B drew what looked to be a table flipping over multiple times into the dirt.

"She's a flip flopper?" Mike asked.

B nodded.

"True she did vote Dawn out even though y'all were together for some time. Do you think she would flip back against us?" Mike questioned the genius.

B nodded again, more enthusiastically than before.

"We'll think on it, but you are right, Violet can be a little weasel when it comes to strategy," Jo pointed out as Mike and her walked away.

Confessional B

His fingers are crossed and drops of sweat could be seen scurrying down his face

Confessional, Jo

B's offer is enticing, and we get no blow back either way. We "saved" ourselves so we don't look like villains and our old team could care less who goes. We just gotta pick which one of these losers goes

Confessional, Mike

B, Violet, and Carson all have positives and drawbacks, B appears to be a more loyal player but not to us, Violet is more disloyal but right now she is loyal to us, and Carson is unpredictable but no one trusts him which makes him an easy boot later. Jo and I have to weigh our options.

Jo and Mike as they walked off ran into Carson who was coming from the elimination ceremony area and waved the duo down. Jo looked towards Mike with a smirk, which caused Mike to give her an eyebrow raised confused on what she was planning.

Confessional, Jo

Let's stir the pot a bit more.

"Hey guys, any word on the vote?" Carson asked the pair.

"Actually yeah, we just spoke with B a little bit and it seems he wants to go for you here," Jo stated, Mike looked at her, but then quickly understood what she was doing.

"Yeah, I think he may be bitter about the last round or feel it's his best shot. I think he feels his back against the wall," Mike stated.

"Well that's not… great," Carson stated.

Confessional, Carson

Something feels off. I know B isn't happy with me, but I don't think he would outright target me here. Maybe I was right to go looking for that blasted idol.

"Look, if B isn't lying to you guys, I still don't know if it would be smart to vote him off."

"Why not?" Jo asked, perplexed.

"He's a shield. Violet will sneak by, while all the guys take each other out, with B here he will likely draw heat away from all of us."

"How so? They're both smart," Jo stated.

"Because B can build machines that can help him in challenges," Mike realized, "No one else can do that, and based on some of the stuff we saw last season, I bet that skill could be really useful."

"Would it not make sense for us to get rid of him then?" Jo asked.

"That puts you two at the forefront of people's minds as challenge threats though," Cason explained.

"That's true…" Mike pondered for a moment. "Let Jo and I think about it, but we are definitely not opposed," Mike said, dragging Jo off.

"You're not seriously considering betraying her are you?" Jo asked the lanky boy.

"We should at least consider it, if we vote her off we could pick up Carson and B as allies, rather than just Violet."

"But those two could end up being a pair, and Carson is far from reliable and B would be far from loyal to us."

"That is true, but they're both right about why Violet should go too."

"They are, but if we vote B, we can just force Carson into line, and that'll still give us the same thing, but with someone more apt to be loyal to us."

"You're right."

Confessional, Jo

Why is my whole damn team wishy washy? Like shoot straight for once please.

Confessional, Mike

I don't think Jo is… all too happy with me right now. I need to get my act together and stick with someone or else I'll end up like Carson with an overcooked goose.

"Hey guys!" Violet chriped over to the pair.

Confessional, Jo

THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!

"Have you guys heard anything new? I saw you guys talking to Carson, we're still on B right?" Violet asked.

"Don't worry we're still on B, Carson is just scrambling," MIke replied.

"Yeah, B brought up voting you to him, and he was just checking with us," Jo added.

"Did he say he would still vote B?"

"He said he would do whichever way we went," Jo replied. Violet's eyebrows raised.

"That's not exactly great for me."

"No, but it doesn't seem like he's jumping to flip, whereas B is hardcore coming for you."

"That is true, but at least B is predictable, Carson… who knows what he is thinking at any given time."

"Are you suggesting we target Carson?" Jo asked.

Confessional, Jo

At this point does it really matter who goes? They all are bad, and they all need to go. They're more wishy washy than my damn washer at home.

"No, but if he keeps running his mouth we should consider it," Violet stated, her eyebrow twitching.

"I agree. Let's keep each other posted, and reconvene right before tribal. If Carson does anything else weird we'll just vote him off," Mike replied, which received nods of agreement from them before they separated.

Confessional, Mike

So it seems Carson keeps digging his grave more and more, cutting Carson does lose us a loose cannon, but I do like him. But I also do not want to go against the group here.

Confessional, Violet

Carson needs to shut his yapper before I shut it for him. Carson is not my ideal boot here, but he is getting on my nerves.

"Dude, why are these three so panicked and crazy, they can't not run around and talk to us," Jo said to Mike as they walked away.

"Speak of the devil," Mike mumbled.

"Hey guys, look I've been doing some thinking, and I don't want to waste your time but I really would like to work with you two at the merge," Carson exclaimed jogging up to them.

"I'm down dude for sure," Mike stated, extending a hand to Carson, Jo who was struggling to hide her annoyance with the whole elimination ceremony this evening did the same.

"Like, I mean I'm sure you guys can tell I'm not exactly with anyone, B and Violet both don't fully trust me, I helped vote off Lindsay's showmance and I wasn't particularly close with Gwen from my old tribe."

"Yeah dude don't worry I get it, we're probably going to merge after this, so us three plus two more will get us a majority," Mike explained.

"Yeah buddy. I think we got this on lock down don't worry,"

Confessional, Mike

I can tell Jo is getting annoyed. I can't blame her, if I didn't have to deal with Chester and Vito every day I would be too.

Confessional, Carson

I. Do. Not. Trust. A. Single. One. Of. These. People.

As the trio split up, Mike and Jo started talking again, "Should we tell Violet?" Mike asked.

"If we do, she's going to try and strong arm us into voting for him," Jo replied.

"Is that a bad idea though? If B and Violet can no longer trust each other, they can help fracture apart the other tribe as well trying to take each other out," Mike explained.

"That's true, but where does that leave us?"

"In the middle."

"I like the thought of that," Jo said. "Let's talk to Violet, but we shouldn't tell her everything, just in case."

Confessional, Jo

These guys are on something.

"Welcome Rats and Maggots!" Chris announced as the two teams shuffled into the ceremony. "Rats please take a seat in the red winner bleachers provided for you guys. Maggots take your seat onto the tree stumps." The teams each took their seats in their respective spots. "Now you may be wondering why both teams are here this evening. And that will be revealed in due time." Chris paused for a moment as the campers gave each other nervous glances. "With that being said however, we have a lot to get to this evening so let us get this vote read." Chris continued.

"Maggots once I say your name please collect one of these four marshmallows, if I do not call your name you must walk the Dock of Shame and take the catapult away from here and to Playa De Losers and become the ninth person voted out of Total Drama Revenge of the Island. With that all said, let's begin…." Chris stated grabbing the tray of marshmallows and walking closer to the campers.

"First safe is Violet," Chris said, tossing the gamer her marshmallow.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

"Mike, you are also safe."

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

"Jo you are also safe." Some whispering broke out among the Rats, confused as to why B and Carson were in the bottom when their original team had the majority. And how Jo of all people was not targeted considering how grating they knew her as.

.

.

.

.

.

"The final person safe is… Carson. B you have become the ninth person voted off the island. I need you to leave."

B stood up and shot a glare at Violet and Carson and looked towards the Rats and gave a gesture as if to warn them about his now former teammates. Violet shot B a look of disgust and Carson one of shame. The campers followed B down his regretful walk to the dock of shame and waited with bated breath off to the side. Gwen and Lindsay waved to B sorrowly as he boarded into the catapult. B and Gwen gave a longing stare towards each other, they had grown close on the island but it had ended all too soon, and without so much as a word Chef pulled the lever and B was sent flying into the air screaming his heart out, leaving the remaining campers in shock.

"He could speak?" Jo asked.

"I guess so," Mike replied.

"Now, you may be wondering why I have both the Rats and the Maggots here for elimination? Gwen, I believe you have the note that Shawn handed to you at today's challenge. Feel free to read it and tell us what it says!" Chris explained.

"Tonight is the last Elimination Ceremony before the merge!" This was met with a chorus of cheers from the nine campers left. "But there will be one more elimination. The losing team will have a few moments to deliberate before they vote another camper off." The Maggots looked at each other in fear.

"Because there's one more elimination we're gonna have to split this marshmallow in half and hand one off to B while the loser will take the other half!" Chris said as the radioactive marshmallow was brought out again.

"Wait, you're gonna split it?" LIghtning worriedly asked.

"Isn't that dangerous?! DON'T DO IT!" LIndsay shrieked.

The campers held up their hands in various states of worry as Chef took a lumberjack's ax and divided the marshmallow in two, no reaction happening. "Wimps," Chef said before he waited just off camera.

"Alright Maggots, you guys have a few minutes to deliberate before I send each of you into the outhouse confessional to submit your vote."

Confessional, Lightning

I mean it ain't fair that the Maggots are gonna be at a disadvantage to us but this game is still fair under the contracts. Ain't no big deal for them, Jo's just gotta survive so we can reunite team dude jocks!

Confessional, Lindsay

…it makes sense to me but that's kind of mean of Chad to do so. Or was it Shannon? I think I'm insulated enough even with the Maggots deficit but… no I can't let my guard down. I hope that Johanna goes, she's way too strong!

The four remaining maggots turned to each other, Jo and Mike positioning themselves so they could let the Rats hear their conversation but made it so that the remaining Maggots were left unheard. "Look, I know I am in hot water right now, but Mike and Jo, I got y'alls back at the merge. Both of my allies are gone, I have nothing left," Carson stated almost immediately.

Jo and Mike looked at each other and then towards Violet who began to speak, "I think it's painfully obvious Carson is a paranoid player who will vote off whoever to survive, he's voted off or targeted three of his allies in a row. If we merge next, he's way too unreliable."

"Okay but you turned on your team in a split second, what's to say you won't do the same, you may be their ally now, but at a moment's notice you could stab them in the back just like everyone else,' Carson retorted.

"But unlike you I never had an actual alliance with them," Violet added.

The Rats watched on eagerly seeing some of the Maggot's dirty laundry be aired. It was hard to hear most of the conversation but seeing Violet and Carson snarl and screech at each other was somewhat satisfying.

Gwen looked on with bated breath. She knew who she wanted to stay. Lindsay spared a glance to Quentin and DJ who gave her a reassuring nod. Lightning could honestly care less but he remained interested as he could. It was clear to them who could be going home, and much to the dismay of some of them it appeared Jo was staying.

"I can't believe Jo might be staying," Quentin whispered to DJ.

"I know, maybe they had more team drama than we realized and Jo slithered by," DJ whispered back.

"Who knows, but if they were smart she'd have to go ASAP," Quentin ended the conversation with a brief glance to Dj.

"Alright Maggots," Chris started. "Each of you will go to the Outhouse and place your vote, once the votes are in, one of you will be catapulted, and become the tenth person voted out."

Chris would signal for when each player would walk into the voting booth. First it was Carson. Carson walked into the booth and scribbled a name down on a piece of paper, looking into the camera "Well this is bad. But Violet, it's you or me, whoever those two trust more." Carson walked out of the booth and was followed in by Jo.

Jo was then followed by Mike. Both took their time in the booth. Mike more so who sat there with his head in his palms. "I like Carson, we have similar frantic personalities, but Violet is calming and so nice, but she's smarter than she lets on, and she actually talked to me. I can't let one of the others hijack this vote this time… UGH!"

And finally walked in Violet who had a sort of confident swagger to her, muttering to herself, "I'm not going home, I'm not going home, I can't go this early." She grabbed the piece of paper and scribbled down a name "Carson you fumbled the ball one final time, bye now." Although she appeared to be nervous to the camera up close, when she walked out again she resumed her confident swagger.

As Violet returned to her seat, Chris had walked up with a tray of three marshmallows. "When I call your name please claim your marshmallow, if you do not receive a marshmallow you'll join B in the water."

"Mike, you are safe." He jumped up and claimed his marshmallow nearly instantly.

.

.

.

.

.

.

"Jo you are also safe."

.

.

.

.

.

.

"And the final camper safe…. is …. Violet. Carson, you are the tenth person voted out of this game."

Carson looked downtrodden, nodding and shooting a glance towards the Rats who waved solemnly towards the unfortunate anime nerd. "I tried my best and that's all I can ask for," Carson said, before trudging his way down to the catapult.

"I'm sorry dude, you got screwed," Dakota said, placing a hand on his shoulder in comfort.

"I think having played this game made me realize how much the right cast and making the right connections can help you. It's truly as crazy as the audience sees, but it's so much harder," Carson explained, staring off into the night sky.

"Yeah. Maybe you'll get another shot," Dakota explained, before yanking the lever and sending Carson screaming and flying into the night sky and into the ocean.

Confessional, Dakota

Out of all the eliminations I have done this season, that was the hardest. He wasn't my favorite, but it hurts to see campers get a raw deal, like Sky or Sammy last season.

"And now that B and Carson are sailing through the night sky…" Chris continued. "We have to recognize that we're in the merge! So that means no teams, eight contestants, and one toxic marshmallow of loserdom! So Chef, let's get that marshmallow fused back together!" The campers cheered with delight at this announcement, it had been a long time coming for the eight remaining campers.

Chef looked at Chris with a worried glare as he carried both halves of the radioactive marshmallow. Nervously, he put them both on the table and inched them closer and closer together. A wide distortion came from the marshmallow as the two halves inched closer and closer together. "Nah man, you gotta do this, it's your demand," Chef backed away, prompting several others to do so.

"Fine," Chris started. "You're a pansy."

"Your funeral," Chef retorted.

Chris turned to the camera with his award winning smile. "The new Maggots go into the merge outnumbered and the Rats hold a lead thanks to a good victory! What will happen next?!" Chris suddenly pushed the two halves of the marshmallow together, creating a giant mushroom cloud and sending everyone spiraling from the dock.

The camera suddenly panned out to Carson and B floating in the water, an unspoken forgiveness about the two of them, before they were basked in a lime green glow. Dakota rowed up to the two of them, looking back at the light bewildered, and quickly ushered the two boys into the canoe. "What was-" Carson started.

"Shhh," Dakota waved him off. She turned on her radio to hear Chris incomprehensibly responding. "Umm…hold on." Dakota pulled out her cell phone. "Hey daddy…yeah…"

Carson and B spared a glance at each other as they started rowing Dakota further away from the giant mushroom cloud. "Okay, well, you're going to have to do the recap and then do your final confessionals. Tomorrow is gonna be a different day because…well…Daddy sent me a video."

Dakota showed her phone to Carson and B. On the screen, Chris and Chef were currently fighting a tree with rubber chickens, Quentin, Lindsay, and Jo were digging a hole, Gwen and DJ were screaming at each other, Violet and LIghtning were eating rocks, and Mike was continuously gasping in between several acrobatic stunts.

B took out a device from his coat and shook out the water. He tinkered with some mechanics before it came back to full functions. He hit some buttons and the device began speaking. "Fright, lake, water, and mutants. Carson and B were eliminated and now only eight remain. Who will make it through the first merge and not touch the mushroom?" Chris' voice came from the device.

"Mushroom?" Carson asked. B waved him off.

"Find out next time on Total, Llama, revenge of the Ice cream!" The device suddenly blew up and B tossed the remains in the lake. It sank rather anticlimactically.

Final Confessional, B

B fistbumped Carson as they turned to a nearby camera that Dakota mounted onto the bow of the Canoe. He held up a whiteboard that he started to sketch on with a customized marker that allowed for 15 different colors. After drawing a brief image of himself frowning he drew an arrow to Lindsay and Gwen with a thumbs up, one green for Lindsay and another pink for Gwen. He drew another, wavy, almost dotted arrow to a mock drawing of Violet, still with a thumbs up. It was clear that his hopes lied in the lost Maggots while he couldn't quite trust Violet, but a victory from either of them would have been good. He put the marker on his chin for a moment and put a thumbs down around Mike and Lightning, two people who he thought were athletic. He erased the whiteboard and replaced the drawings with Total DRama's logo and surrounded it with a glowing, radiant halo. He enjoyed his time there.

Final Confessional, Carson

Well, I didn't expect to go before the merge especially when Ryan did so well last season. I thought I'd have done better but I guess Ryan beats me again. I'm really worried about Violet. She has theoretically the best position but she backstabbed me and B instead of voting for one of the new maggots so if the other campers catch wind of that she's in danger. I don't know what I'd change about me to get further besides not entertaining the showmance with Sierra. I'm rooting for Gwen and DJ, they seem like they have good heads. I'd prefer a Gwen victory all things considered.

B and Carson shared a fistbump as they finished their confessionals, showing up at the playa de los losers where the crowd of pre jurors were waiting with a note that reeked of Chris gel and Chef cooking, and all the former campers appeared to have a shade of giddyness and nervousness about them.

Scenes from the next episode

"I am the very model of a modern major general-" Quentin started singing at the top of the stairs.

"The venerated virginian veteran whose men are all lining up-" Violet interrupted.

"Who has information about vegetables and mineral-" Quentin tried taking back the spotlight.

"We are outgunned, outmanned, outnumbered-" Violet started.

"SHABAM!" Lightning suddenly sprung up between Quentin and VIolet, knocking both of them down the stairs.

Gwen looked at the top of the thousand foot cliff, basking in the early morning sunlight. "YOU WANNA FIGHT WITH ME SUN?!" Gwen shouted. "I'LL FIGHT YOU FIRST!"

With a battle cry Gwen picked up a rock and ran right off the cliff, falling past DJ who was hanging upside down by his skull cap. "Cloudy with a chance of Gwen."

Mike and Lindsay sat down, playing cards. "Do you have any threes?" Lindsay asked Mike.

"Go fish yourself!" Mike suddenly flipped the table over, hitting Chef.

"GO FISH YOURSELF? LEARN SOME RESPECT YOU UNDERLING!" Chef shouted, throwing tuna at Mike. Mike ducked and the fish hit the butler.

"In my culture…THAT IS A DUEL!" The butler started, drawing out his own swordfish. "Oh down I go…"

Jo sat at a table with Fang. Fang sniffed Jo's hoodie and took a bite. "I agree Fang, it is too dirty."

"Do I have to do this?" a masked figure said from behind a chair. "If I must…can't trust Chris anymore so I have to pull the weight…"

Elimination Votes

B: (He holds up a figure that represents Violet and the vote is cast)

Carson: It's either you or me, and I'd rather vote out B than vote out myself.

Jo: PERFECT! We've got the lavender loser on our side and if we stick together we can get rid of one of the losers. I'm voting for B. He's too good.

Mike: Thinking about it Scott and Leshawna used their brains last season. I think I'm voting B again. I was told that Chester was the one who voted on my behalf. Yeah I might as well.

Violet: Now to guarantee my safety in the merge, I just have to vote out one of my team. I think B is who I will vote for this time.

Elimination Votes Part Two

Carson: Well this is bad. But Violet it's you or me, whoever those two trust more

Violet: Carson you fumbled the ball one final time, bye now

Jo: Carson you are a fierce competitor and you fought to the end, but you shouldn't have flipped

Mike: Sorry Carson this one doesn't feel good

Review Responses

SuperSonicHeroes (Rj here): It was hard to balance the challenge length and the strategy as we are dwindling down and for the most part the challenges are simple. With how complicated the strategy gets we do have to spend more time establishing bonds between others. Interesting to see what you think the Rat power dynamics are and with what we have planned with Violet… I wonder if you'll be gripped.

(Trygve) Well you were partially right in the Carson and B blow up but maybe not in the way you expected, it seems Violet's plan has worked so far especially with a merge incoming, hopefully your fav OC stays strong.

Lordgemini (Rj here): Dakotazoid sucked so we just decided to have her as a bit of an in joke here. Totally justifiable in thinking we dragged this episode but where the Sasquatch was holding up Dave was different from the entries that needed to be blown up. It's just a way to minimize the entrances into the mines because Chris is the authority on the wooly beavers. With strategy some people just get on the same wavelength, We'll see some divergence later on.

(Trygve) I can see how you felt the strategy didn't really connect we always planned on Violet starting to be more prominent and flip on her former team here and we tried to set that up in the Sierra boot in Violet's convo with Dawn, hopefully this episode and upcoming ones connect together well for you.

Puzzlefan123 (Rj here): Just started it, we have plans for it, don't worry.

(Trygve) It's here now, we just wanted to go with a late merge this season since we had a big one last season
