Kendall suddenly woke up from her slumber and quickly got up, taking out her hunting knife. Her action alerted the others as they all woke up from their sleep. And when they notice Kendall has her knife ready, they knew there was danger.

"Kendall? What's out there?" Brooklynn asked fearfully.

"I don't know, grab a stick in the fire, arm yourselves, fire might scare it off." Kendall instructed them.

Without hesitation, they quickly grabbed their sticks and set them on fire, ready to defend themselves. Val and Celestia hid behind Kendall's legs, fearing what might come out of the shadows. Then they heard a growl that resembled either a lion or tiger. They huddled together and watched as something stepped out of the shadows. And to everyone's shock, it was a prehistoric feline predator called a Smilodon.

Commonly known as a saber-toothed cat or tiger. Kendall, Val, Celestia, and Darius knew that it is an extinct carnivorous mammal that lived through the Pleistocene and Holocene epochs. It is the largest and most famously known species of predatory felines called the Saber-toothed cats, with its fangs reaching a foot long. And it could easily rip them to pieces with those teeth.

"What is that thing?!" Kenji whispers in fear.

"Smilodon," Kendall, Val, Celestia, Hudson, and Darius answered, all looking at the Smilodon, who let out a growl.

"Aren't those like saber tooth tigers that went extinct or somethin'?" Sammy asked fearfully, shaking her torch at the Smilodon.

"Yeah, they were until now..." Kendall said quietly, readying her blade while eyeing on the Smilodon. "Everyone, listen to me carefully, I have a plan."

"Kendall, I will follow you to the ends of the Earth if it means getting out of this situation!" Kenji said in a fearful tone.

"Good, now get on your knees, and let Val do her thing." Kendall instructed them slowly.

"What? Why?" Darius asked softly, still scared about the situation.

"If we don't look like a threat, it will ease off, and Val can communicate with it when it's calm, all right?" The group was still skeptical but nodded their heads, wanting to live to see another day, "Now, put your torches away, and get on your knees."

Listening to her words, they put away their torches and got on their knees. Stiggy, Redford, and Bumpy followed too, lying on the ground to be less threatening. Kendall then looks at Val and nodded, signaling her to do her thing. Val nods back and looks at the Smilodon. She could feel the bond with the Smilodon happening and the Smilodon was now looking at her instead of her friends. Its aggressiveness slowly vanished as it was now becoming docile.

"Hello," Val spoke, causing the Smilodon to tilt its head at her, "My name is Val, this my sister, Celestia, and our friends," She introduce, and Celestia waved at the Smilodon with a smile while the rest stayed as they were, "We didn't mean to come to your cave, we were just trying to escape the rain."

The Smilodon responded with small growls and grunts, assuring them that the rain has ceased, and they can go outside. Val translated to her friends, indicating that the rain is now gone, so they could go outside and check on the island. Val asked the Smilodon if it could show them around, which it gladly will. Since Val bonds with it, the Smilodon is now friendly towards them. With that said and done, everyone got up and followed the Smilodon out of the cave by another passageway that it used. It didn't take them long for them to reach the exit and they quickly shielded their eyes when the sunlight reached them. And once they adjusted their vision, they found out that they were in a desert-like area.

"Wow..." Both Val and Celestia awed at the sight before them.

"Okay, so...definitely not Costa Rica." Brooklynn said in shock, still adjusting to what she was seeing.

"It looks more like...Australia?" Darius guessed, seeing how familiar the landscape is from the books he read, "No way we went that far, though, right?" He asked Kendall.

Kendall shook her head, kneeling on the ground while picking up some sand on her hand, "No...this is neither Costa Rica, Australia, nor Nevada. This is something else."

"What do you mean?" Yaz asked Kendall.

"For starters, since when did an extinct Smilodon come back from the dead and why is there frequency blocker here?" Kendall listed out the possibilities, "We're on an island that must be hidden from the world, possibly the government even."

Darius realizes what she meant as he looks at the desert land, "You're right!" He said in a whisper, but was cut off when Kenji placed a hand on Darius's face, "Kenji, what are you doing?"

"Making sure we're not dead." Kenji said with wide eyes, still looking at the landscape before him, "'Cause if we're dead, we'd be ghosts, and if we're ghosts, I'd be able to, like...Ooh, go through you." Kenji explains while looking at his free hand.

Darius frowned and swatted Kenji's hand off his face while Kendall simply rolled her eyes at him, "We're not dead, Kenji." Kendall said to him dryly.

"Well, now you know. You're welcome." Kenji said casually, earning a scowl from Kendall.

"So, we know where we aren't." Brooklynn said, climbing down a slope, "Any idea where we are?"

Yaz responded with a shrug, "Nope. Just that we're stranded. And alone. Again." She sits on a rock with Celestia and Val close by while the Smilodon rested on top of the rock platform as Yaz processed to throw a small rock off the ledge.

"We just gotta assess the situation." Darius said to the group, trying to lighten up the mood.

Before anyone could say anything, Ben saw something glinting from afar, "Hey, hey, guys! Look at that! Over there in the distance. Something shiny!" Ben pointed out.

Sammy, who also saw it, agreed with Ben, "I see it! Looks like the sun is glinting off some sort of metal thingy?"

"Something metal could mean someone had to make it." Ben suggested.

"You think there's people here?" Hudson asked hopefully.

"Could be." Kendall said, agreeing with Ben's theory. "But it's worth checking."

"Hang on. You wanna go walking across a blazing hot desert just because you saw something shiny?" Kenji interrupts them, not wanting to walk in the hot sun.

Darius nodded, agreeing with Kenji, "We have no idea what's out there."

"True, but we have someone who does." Kendall said, looking towards the resting Smilodon.

Everyone followed her gaze and realized what she meant. Kenji, however, wasn't sure if her plan was gonna work, since he notices the size of the Smilodon, "You think this big kitty cat can carry us? I mean, look at us! There's ten of us, plus a dino and a dog, and one saber-tiger! I doubt it would even let us."

"Oh, just watch and see, Kenji." Kendall said before looking at Val, "Hey, Val? That satchel, it's the one that your sister gave you, right?"

Val nodded her head, "Yup! Why?"

"We need it also, Butler, send one of your mini drones, 'cause we need it."

Through the vast desert of the unknown island, the Smilodon was running through the landscape with incredible speed. And on its jaws was Val's satchel, and it's not just any satchel, that satchel is a magical pocket dimension satchel, allowing Val to carry any object with no problem. Plus, it is very easy transportation since inside was a huge, huge spacious plane of existence. Full items that were organized. And in there were the campers, Stiggy, Bumpy, and Redford. They were safely inside while looking at Butler's screen, seeing surroundings of the desert as one of Butler's drones was outside, watching the Smilodon run through the desert, towards the source that Ben spotted.

"Wow, Kendall, you were right to use the Smilodon as transportation." Brooklynn said happily, still amazed that they were inside the magical satchel.

"Yup, with the right speed, we'll be able to reach the source before dark." Kendall said, observing the desert through the phone's screen.

Sammy walks over to them, carrying snacks in her arms, "Wow! This place is filled with everything we need to survive!" Sammy said happily.

"I can't believe you guys were able to fit a whole fridge in here!" Yaz added, standing next to a working refrigerator that is filled with drinks after getting a cool refreshing bottle of water in there.

"Yup, we pack a lot of things." Val said, holding a bag of chips. "By the way, are we there yet?"

"Not yet, the Smilodon is thirty minutes away." Kendall informs them.

"I name him Sabe." Val said , already naming the Smilodon.

"Of course, you did," Kendall smiles at her, knowing that Val loves naming animals.

Suddenly, Butler began to make alerting sounds :Alert! Alert! Unknown hostile threat approaching!:

"Hostile threat?! What does he mean by that?!" Ben asked in alarm.

"Butler, where's the threat?" Brooklynn asked her phone in alarm and worry.

:Right behind us!: Butler exclaimed, showing them the drone's camera's direction, revealing a giant figure chasing behind Sabe.

"What is that?" Hudson asked, looking at the phone screen.

They all huddled together to get a better look as Butler's drone adjusted its camera to reveal a very big, scaly looking-

"A Spinosaurus!" Darius and Hudson exclaimed in shock.

"A spino-what?" Kenji asked in confusion and fear.

"Bigger, meaner, and stronger than a T. Rex!" Kendall explains quickly as she looks at the phone, "We have to floor it!"

"Sabe! Run faster!" Brooklynn yelled through the phone that went through the phone's speaker.

Hearing this, the Smilodon made a run for it after he heard the Spinosaurus coming after him. Speaking of the Spinosaurus, the apex predator releases a powerful roar after seeing its target in its sight. But soon notices that its prey was evading him, which causes the Spinosaurus to give chase, letting loose a powerful roar. But when it did, Val could've sworn that roar sounded familiar, very familiar indeed.

"That roar..." Val whispers out.

"We have to get Sabe out of there!" Brooklynn said to the others.

"Over there! In that rocky area!" Yaz said, looking at the rock area through the phone, "Sabe can maneuver there!"

"Go to the rocky part, Sabe!" Celestia was the one that gave the order.

Obeying her words, Sabe ran to the rocky area while pursued by the Spinosaurus. It may be big and fast, but it wasn't quick or as agile as a Smilodon. Sabe easily maneuvered through the rocky terrain with the Spinosaurus hot on his trails but was soon thwarted when Sabe climbed up to a high rocky cliff with no problem and hid within a secret cave. Sabe hid there with the satchel in his jaws, hearing the roar of the Spinosaurus from below. Butler's drone was safe from the sky, showing everyone what the Spinosaurus looks like. It was a male, a very scary looking behemoth if you will, and his scales are a mixture of dark and light gray, a yellowed underbelly, and red splotches around its face, across its back, and at the end of its tail. The sail had blue circles and a chip sail...wait a second...

Upon further closer examination of the sail, Val knew something about what seemed familiar. She has seen that Spinosaurus before. Three years ago, when she lived with her uncle.

Broken Sail the Spinosaurus of Isla Sorna.

"Broken Sail!" Val exclaimed, getting everyone's attention.

"Who's broken?" Kenji asked, unsure what she meant.

"No one's broken! What I mean is that I know that Spinosaurus! It's Broken Sail, he came from Isla Sorna." Val said to them.

"Wait...the same Spinosaurus that saved you from Uberto's crazy father?" Kendall asked Val, who nodded her head happily, "But why is here? I thought no dinosaurs were able to be transported out of Isla Sorna without the permission of Claire or Masrani?"

"Unless they did it illegally." Hudson suggested, "I heard from my dad that there are some people smuggling stuff somewhere in the country."

"Yeah...but smuggling a fully grown and cranky Spinosaurus shouldn't have been missed on the radar." Kendall said before rubbing her chin, "I have to inform Claire when we get back."

"I gotta go check!" Val suddenly runs off before anyone could stop her, she somehow gets out of the satchel, surprising Sabe, before going to the ledge to see Broken Sail below, still looking at the cave from below. "Broken Sail!"

The Spinosaurus froze from his spot and looked up to see a familiar face that he recognized so well. Val smiles when she sees Broken Sail calming down, indicating that he recognizes her. She asked Sabe to help her down, which he did. He carries the little girl on his back with the satchel still in his jaws as he climbs down the rocky slope with ease. And once they came down, Val immediately got off and rushed over to Broken Sail. The Spinosaurus lowered his massive snout and allowed the little girl to pet him happily.

"It's good to see you again!" Val said to him cheerfully.

As Val continues embracing Broken Sail, the Smilodon puts the satchel down and allows the other campers to get out from there. They, minus Kendall and Celestia, were all awestruck at the sight of the Spinosaurus being friendly towards Val. But that's not all, they never even knew that Val and the Spinosaurus were close friends.

"So...this is Broken Sail?" Sammy asked Val curiously, staying a few feet from the Spinosaurus with the others.

Val nodded with a smile, "Uh-huh, Broken Sail helped me find my way to the jungle of Isla Sorna and fought a Mortem to save me." Val answered happily before realizing something, "Although...I didn't expect him to be here. We thought he was in another part of the island."

Broken Sail made grunts and growls, getting everyone's attention, like he was explaining his situation. "What is he saying?" Darius asked Val.

"Broken Sail said that one day, when he was out fishing at the river on Isla Sorna, a group of unknown men came out of nowhere, drugged him and dragged him into a floating box." Val translated.

"Floating box?" Ben asked in confusion.

"I think he meant a ship." Kendall corrected before getting suspicious, "This means there are people here, taking dinosaurs from Isla Sorna or creating new life." She theorizes, looking towards Broken Sail.

"Create life? You mean...another genetics company?" Yaz questions, shocked and confused on which company would do such a thing.

"Yup, but here's another question, which company would do it." Kendall said to the group. "It's either Serpenti Neri, Biosyn, or Mantah Corp.

"Biosyn? Why do you think Biosyn is included in this?" Darius questions Kendall.

"It's just a hunch, but what I heard from Barry, Biosyn tried to figure out how to clone and control dinosaurs before, but it didn't work out because some dinosaurs don't live that long and because they don't listen to them, even if using frequencies to match their roars, they need genuine bond with the dinosaurs."

"Meaning..." Kenji has yet to understand her words.

Rolling her eyes, Kendall made a short and simple answer, "To make it simpler, they don't have Val to help them."

"Ah, okay."

"So...you think we're either of those three companies, right?" Brooklynn asked hesitantly, feeling scared already.

"Indeed, and I pray that I'm wrong, for I fear that those three companies share the same goal. And that is to control dinosaurs or other prehistoric beasts that were lost in time." Kendall said, looking towards Broken Sail and Sabe.

"Okay, we have to find a way out of here." Yaz said, fearing for her life already.

"Hey, since Broken Sale and Sabe kind of live here, maybe they know of any outpost we can use to contact for help." Ben suggested.

:Oh! That's a great idea! And I can find a way to remove the frequency blocker while we're at it.: Butler added, also agreeing to this idea.

"Those are good ideas." Kendall said before looking at Val, "Val, asked Broken Sail or Sabe if they find any human structures here?"

Val understood and asked the two prehistoric beasts before them. Sabe didn't see any other humans, just weird flying objects, which everyone guessed are drones, but Broken Sail did encounter some, when he was getting off ship, he saw them enter what he presumed was a building of some kind. He can show them away before the night sets in. And with said and done, they followed the Spinosaurus, but they would have trouble catching up with him since he can easily get there. So, without a choice, Broken Sail agrees to carry them, as long as they behave, especially Kenji. If he hears that boy complain, this cranky dino will lose it. Val, Celestia, and Hudson ride on Sabe with Stiggy and Redford following them. Bumpy got a free ride as she was being carried on Broken Sail's claw while Kenji was being carried by the other, much to the annoyance of the teen.

As they travel, Darius asks why Broken Sail was here, since he read in books that Spinosaurus prefers swampy or river areas. Val translated it when Broken Sail explains that the humans that dropped him here were idiots that didn't know where he belonged. He vowed one day when he finds those humans, he will tear them to pieces. And that answer made Darius stop asking anymore questions. Luckily, it didn't take them long to reach their destination. The kids got off from their carnivorous transportation before observing the area.

"You think we're in the right place?" Ben asked Kendall.

"We should be, this is where you and Sammy saw the shiny thing as well as Broken Sail seeing humans here." Kendall said, looking around the area.

Kenji groans in annoyance as he starts walking around, "Great! We came all this for noth-IIINNGG!" Kenji suddenly tripped on something before hitting face first to the ground, "OW!"

This made everyone look at him in concern. Well, most of them. Broken Sail finds it amusing to see that human male fall, it was hilarious. Guess he and Assassin share a sick-twisted amusement to see the ones they dislike so much get hurt or receive misfortune.

"Are you okay?" Hudson asked in concern.

"Yeeeaahhh..." Kenji groans, sitting up from the dust ground.

Val looked at the source and was surprised to see it, "What is that?"

They followed Val's gaze and saw what appears to be a metal object of some kind as well as noticing strange footprints that lead somewhere. This caused everyone to follow it eagerly with Broken Sail and Sabe following them from behind. Kenji was ahead, eyeing on the footprints and following them willingly. But since he wasn't aware of his surroundings, he suddenly hits an invisible, causing Kenji to fall yet again. Everyone saw this and went to him while Broken Sail watched in amusement to see Kenji's misfortune happened yet again.

"Kenji! Are you okay?!" Ben asked in concern, coming over with the others.

Kenji groaned as he sat up, rubbing his head, "Yeah...I think so...but I think I hit something."

Everyone looks at the direction where Kenji got hit. Kendall narrows her eyes. She could tell that the scene before them wasn't real. Reaching her hand out, she could feel a wall and lightly press it, white lines appeared briefly, forming some pentagon shapes, while making buzzing and rattling sounds. And when she pressed the wall hard with her hand, it opened up to reveal a hidden passageway. Everyone gasped in shock by the sudden doorway as light suddenly activated, revealing a metallic yet futuristic hallway. The campers, Redford, Stiggy, and Bumpy were getting nervous. They had never seen anything like this before. They weren't even sure what's in there.

"Should...should we go in?" Ben asked hesitantly.

"We don't know what's even in there?" Kenji whispers fearfully.

"Well...we better find out." Kendall said, readying her knife, "Stay close to me and don't wander off, we don't know who else is in there."

Everyone agrees to stay close. Sabe will come along to help them while Broken Sail behind, he doubts he could help since due to size; he'll stick out like a sore thumb and get the children in trouble. But if they need any help, he'll be there to assist them. As they bid Broken Sail farewell, they campers looked around the tunnel, finding it strange yet interesting at the same time. Butler was scanning the area to find out some clues until Redford started barking, going in another direction. Thinking that he found something, everyone followed Redford to another hallway, where another door was there. There, they saw what appeared to be a touch screen with an image of lock on it. Curious, Brooklynn pressed the screen and instantly unlocked, and the door opened, revealing a jungle area. Everyone was dumbfounded about this, especially Kendall. They, along with their animal companions, entered the jungle, completely dumbfounded, wondering how the heck did they get here?!

"Guys, do you remember how, like, five seconds ago, we were in a desert?" Brooklynn said in a very nervous tone.

"What the heck is this place?" Sammy asked, wondering where they were and why they were here.

"Like I said before, we could be in any one of these genetic companies." Kendall said to the group in a serious tone until she felt the earth shake, "Did you feel that?"

"Yeah...what is it?" Brooklynn asked.

"Did Broken Sail decide to follow?" Ben suggested, hoping it was the tamed Spinosaurus.

However, Sabe and Redford made growling sounds, looking at the direction where the heavy footsteps were coming from. Stiggy and Bumpy became agitated like danger was coming. And this was enough to make Kendall realize something was wrong.

"Everyone, hide, now!" Kendall ordered.

They didn't need to be told twice, everyone quickly hid behind a huge rock or trees to avoid an incoming predator, and this predator was T. Rex! But it was smaller than the average adult and it was female, which surprised Kendall. Luckily, the young T. Rex didn't see them, much to their relief, but soon regretted it when a bigger T. Rex emerged from the trees, roaring at the younger one, who roars back, before charging. Everyone quickly took to another hiding spot. Sabe had Val, Celestia, and Hudson on his back as he carried them to safety while leading the others to hide behind a bigger tree. The group watched behind their hiding spot as the two massive giants roared at each other.

"Does every island have dinosaurs now?" Brooklynn whispers in fear, watching the two T. Rex roaring and bumping each other.

"Like Kenny said, we could be either in Serpenti Neri, Biosyn, or Mantah Corp." Sammy said quietly, "And I hope we're in Biosyn."

"Trust me on this Sammy, you don't want to be with Biosyn." Kendall whispers, recalling a tale from Claire that someone tried to steal dinosaur embryos and smuggle them. Sadly for the thief, he didn't make it.

"What should we do?" Yaz asked quietly.

"We wait for them to tire themselves out." Darius suggested.

Ben then notices something on the other side, which causes his eyes to widen, before pointing at it, "Let's ask her."

They followed his gaze and saw an African/American woman, wearing glasses and frizzy hair tied up, hiding behind a fallen log. She has a sandwich in her mouth while looking between the T. Rex fighting and to her tablet.

"Who's that?" Kenji whispers out, watching as the woman sits down, still with a sandwich on her mouth, while typing something on her tablet.

"I...have no idea." Kendall answered quietly yet in confusion, having no clue who that woman is or if she is friendly.

As if she felt their eyes on her, the woman looks up and to her surprise, to see a group of children, plus a Smilodon, a Stygimoloch, a dog, and a young Ankylosaurus. She would've been awestruck at the sight of three prehistoric beasts, but her expression grew serious when she saw the teens. Getting up, she quickly marched over to them, while keeping hidden away from the two T. Rex.

"You're trespassing. What are you up to?" She whispers to them demandingly before she gasps, "Are you here to spy?"

"Yeah. We're an elite band of teenage secret agents." Kenji quietly said in a sarcastic tone.

Kendall elbows him at his arm, not enough to hurt him, but to give him a warning to stop. But before she could ask the woman's name and reason, Brooklynn beats her to it, "Are you crazy? You're eating a sandwich in the middle of a T. rex fight?!"

The woman made a look, clearly not like to be called crazy, and was about to answer. Until Val spoke, already knew the outcome. "They're not fighting, they're playing."

The campers turned back to the supposedly fighting T. Rexes, but to their surprise, they weren't fighting at all. They were gently nipping each other while nuzzling. Showing a loving and nurturing embrace. Darius gasped in fascination, never in his life he could see two dinosaurs playing like that!

"Cranio-facial biting! It's true!" Darius said in fascination, clearly amazed by the sight before him.

The woman was surprised by his words, clearly not expecting him to know that information, "Uh, yes." She said slowly before shaking her head, "Don't change the subject!"

"Listen, we're not here for trouble," Kendall said to the woman in a dead serious tone, "We just escaped from being kidnapped by two thugs, and nearly got trampled by heavy waves and a storm and got stranded on this island that we don't know who owns. And all we want is to go home, we don't want to be here either. So, you can just tell us how we can contact our family, so we can get out of here."

:Indeed! I'm having trouble contacting anyone due to a frequency blocker.: Butler replied, which amazed the woman to see.

"Alright, follow me." The woman said, guiding the campers and their animal companions out of the area, away from the two T. Rexes. Once they did, Darius and Brooklynn explained the situation of how they thought their guides were not really their guides but a couple mercenaries they think, trying to kidnap them for a guy named Uberto Mortem, trying to capture them for his sick experiments.

"It's hard to imagine the son of a madman is after you all." The woman said, shocked and concerned about their safety.

"Trust me, it's hard for us to believe, too." Brooklynn said with a sigh, still shaken up on what's happening.

"Mm-hm..." The woman hummed a bit, "I suppose you must be telling the truth, because who would make up such a crazy story if they didn't have to." She said, earning looks from the campers, "Not saying that you don't have to, or that you're crazy, but who knows? I don't know you; you don't know me for that matter...Am I yammering on?"

"Yeah, pretty much." Kendall said to the woman.

The woman gave an apologetic look, "I've been out here for the better part of a month with no one to talk to, and I guess I had more to say than I realized." She said truthfully with a slight laugh.

"You've been here for a month?" Val asked, riding on Sabe with Celestia and Hudson.

The woman was fascinated to see how the Smilodon was so docile towards them, and even allowed three little kids to ride him! As she was focusing on the Smilodon, Darius looked at the woman with curiosity.

"You look so familiar." Darius said before gasping when he heard loud roars of the two T. Rexes, causing everyone to stop.

The woman paused and looked at her tablet before making a relief look, "Don't worry. They're almost tuckered out. They won't bother us." She answered, earning looks from the campers.

"How could you know that?" Ben asked her.

"I study dinosaur brains." The woman said proudly before letting out a chuckle, "Behavioral paleoneurobiologist. I'm Mae Turner-"

"Turner! That's it! You're Dr. Mae Turner!" Darius exclaims, realizing who this woman is, before shaking her hand with his, "It's an honor to meet you. I read your book! A Theoretical Emotional Journey with Theropods!"

Feeling a little flattered, Mae couldn't help but make a small yet hesitant smile, "Ah, you were the one!" She said with a chuckle.

Kenji, who was getting tired of waiting around and wanted to go home, steps forward, "If you could just point us to a phone, we'll be on our way." Kenji said to Mae.

Mae gave them an apologetic look, "Yeah. Slight problem with that. This island is completely shut off the grid. No communications in or out. And don't know where the nearest frequency blockers are." She informs, earning disappointed sounds from the campers.

"Wait, you can't use that to call out?" Brooklynn points at Mae's tablet.

"Sorry. Closed circuit. Mainly I use this to connect to a doodad in their brains...Oh!" Mae suddenly stops herself, "Can't tell you, actually. Proprietary research."

"Right..." Kendall mutters out, clearly knowing something was up.

"So...you won't help us get home?" Val asked sadly, wanting to see her uncle again.

Mae, feeling bad about this, assures her and everyone, "Don't lose faith. You can all rest up with me until we figure out how to get you out of here."

The campers weren't sure if they should trust her or not. They were worried that if they followed her, they might end up getting captured or killed. However, Kendall could tell that they can trust Mae, she could tell that this paleoneurobiologist would never hurt anyone, even if she tried, she couldn't. Kendall gave everyone a sharp nod, indicating that they should trust her. And with that, they followed Mae through the jungle towards her base of operation while making small introductions, and talking about the dinos here, mostly Darius and Sammy.

"So, the saber-toothed tiger and the T. rexes, your bosses are making prehistoric creatures?" Darius asked Mae, walking through the jungle's path.

"Some. Although they got the T. rexes from Isla Sorna." Mae answered before she realized that she just blurted out the information that was meant to be classified, "Not that I should be telling you any of this."

"Why?" Sammy asked Mae.

"Hold up." Mae stops everyone from their tracks as she looks at them seriously, "Important announcement time. Whatever you do, do not go down there. Super Dangerous." She points to a specific area that was covered by the undergrowth, "All right, off we pop."

Mae continues leading them on while everyone looks at her suspiciously. They continue following a waterfall as Mae walks behind it while smiling at the kids, "We're here."

Everyone, minus Kendall, gasps in shock and amazement to find a hidden cave. And inside was a metallic door that Mae opened, revealing a pretty comfortable looking cave with furniture and research table. Sabe settles down onto the floor, allowing the little ones to get off him. Everyone else looks around in awe at the cave. Sammy took a seat on the couch, feeling great comfort on the soft mattress.

"As far as caves go, this one's pretty swank." Sammy said happily.

"You live here?" Darius asked Mae curiously.

"Live, work, play surprisingly competitive games of poker with myself," Mae said to them, gently nudging Kendall, who looks at her suspiciously, "I usually win." Mae then laughs, earning confused and awkward stares from the campers, unsure if she was sane. After a few seconds, she stops, "Ah! All right, I'm gonna go whip up some sandwiches."

"May I assist you, Dr. Turner?" Kendall offers, "It looks like you need extra help on making sandwiches to feed ten of us ."

"Oh, that would be lovely, thank you." Mae said gratefully before going to the kitchen.

"Me, Val, and Celestia, we'll keep an eye on her, and make sure she doesn't try to put anything on the sandwiches." Kendall said to her friends quietly. "I'll try and get as much information as possible."

"How are you going to do that?" Brooklynn asked her quietly.

"Val and Celestia know how to do magic, they can make her say some of the truth." Kendall informs them quietly.

"Right, good luck." Brooklynn whispers to Kendall in support, who nodded as she, Val, and Celestia went to the kitchen with Redford, Stiggy, and Sabe following them.

Mae appreciates their help in helping her. She was humming a tune while she cut some cheese. Kendall observes every ingredient she has. There was not a single sight of anything suspicious that would either put her and her friends into a coma or get food poisoning.

"Sooo...Dr. Turner." Kendall began, trying to get Mae to spill some information about herself. "How did you get a job here?"

"Hmm? Oh, well, nothing much to talk about. When I graduated from Cambridge University with full scholarship and PhDs, I began my work as a Behavioral Paleoneurobiologist. Before researching dinosaur behavior, I researched animal behavior." Mae explains her job to them but was doing her best to ramble nonsense.

As the Paleoneurobiologist rambles about, Kendall glanced at Val and Celestia, who were looking at her while grabbing the bread, and gave them a nod, signaling to their work. Noticing this, the two girls hold each other's hands and look towards a distracted Mae, and their eyes slightly glow as they cast the spell.

"Veritas Revelare." They both said softly.

Both little girls learn how to do magic, thanks to their good friend, Zosia. She was the one that taught Val and Celestia basic magical spells, helping them in some situations. Like a Truth Spell that allows them to make a person tell the truth, but that said person won't remember a thing as he or she will be in a trance and will be only telling the truth when the caster asks questions. And after casting that spell, Mae froze, her eyes widened, facing towards the wall in front of her.

Kendal knows that Mae is now under the spell, giving her the chance to ask some questions, "Tell us, Dr. Turner, why are you working here?"

Mae answered to her questions because of the truth spell, "I was offered this job by company that needed my expertise in paleoneurobiology for a clandestine program on their private Island."

"Why?" Kendall asked further.

"They wanted to know how the brains of the dinosaurs work and how we can use them. I believe they can use it to create a symbiotic relationship." Mae answered truthfully, still unaware that she is a trance.

Kendall narrowed her eyes, the only company that wished to have a symbiotic relationship with the dinosaurs was Jurassic World, she finds it very suspicious that another company wishes to do the same, and she wants to know who she is working for, "What company are working for?"

When Kendall asked the question, Mae answered her question thanks to the Truth Spell, "Mantah Corp."

Val and Celestia gasped in shock, hearing that Mae Turner was actually working for Mantah Corp! The company is partnered with Serpenti Neri. Helping collect orphaned or abandoned children on the streets for Serpenti Neri's cruel experiments. Yet Mae doesn't look like she knows this.

"Do you know that Mantah Corp is working with Serpenti Neri?" Kendall asked Mae.

"No, I was given this job to study dinosaur brains, nothing else." Mae answered truthfully, still trapped in the spell.

"You got that guys?" Kendall turned towards her fellow campers, who watched the whole thing with shock eyes.

"...She's working for Mantah Corp..." Yaz said in shock.

"But she doesn't know the truth." Kendall said to them, rubbing her chin, "Something tells me that Mantah Corp is keeping her for a reason, and not telling her everything about their plan."

"What do you mean, Kenny?" Brooklynn asked in concern.

"I mean that Dr. Turner was just hired to work to study the brains of the dinosaurs, she has no idea of Mantah Corp's connection with Serpenti Neri, which means...she will become a victim if they found that she was keeping us away from them."

Sammy gasped in horror, "Wait! Are you saying they're going to kill her?!"

"Possibly, if she doesn't follow orders, and something tells me she won't allow us to give up easily." Kendall said, looking toward Mae, "Besides, she doesn't have a heart to hurt any of us."

"You think so?" Darius asked hesitantly.

"I know so," Kendall answered gently, "We can trust her, but she needs to know eventually. Otherwise, we're all good as dead."

The campers know that Kendall wants them to trust Mae. Val and Celestia trust Mae considering she is hired without full explanation of Mantah Corp's true intention. And besides, Kendall's instincts were never wrong. With their agreement, they quickly return to their seats while Val and Celestia release Mae from her trance, causing the Paleoneurobiologist to ramble about her life in the university. Not knowing that she just told the truth about her job.

"And I got the highest grade in my class." Mae finished before she realized that she was rambling again, "Oh! Sorry, I must be boring you about my life in school."

"No, it's fine, we kind of enjoy school." Kendall said to Mae, making her smile.

As they finished making the sandwiches, they brought the food to the other campers, who of course enjoyed it. Mae asked what school they go to since she likes to get to know them. Sammy, Brooklynn, Darius, Ben, and Kenji go to different schools since they live in different cities or states, while Brooklynn was the only one homeschooled. Kendall, Val, and Celestia go to Ethereal Academy, which made Mae excited since she used to study there and graduated.

"Thanks to Ethereal Academy, I got to Cambridge University, Ha! What a coincidence that I met students at my favorite school! Hahah! What joy!"

"Yeah...it is a coincidence." Kendall said, taking a bite on her sandwich.

Val and Celestia feed some ham to Sabe, who gladly eats the meat happily, making the girls giggle. This, however, caught Mae's interest. "Tell me...how are you two able to bond with the Smilodon? Last time I checked, the Smilodon never liked anyone, including me."

Val and Celestia looked at her and then to each other, "Well...we were born with a...special gift." Val answered the best way she could.

"What kind of gift?"

"Um...we share a special bond with animals, any animals." Val answered, looking at Sabe kindly, "When we bond with them...we feel a connection, we feel what they feel, and understand them."

"Hmm...I see..." Mae hums before looking at Val suspiciously, "Hang on...you look familiar...like I saw you before."

"Maybe you saw her on the internet?" Kenji blurted out, eating his sandwich, "I mean, from what I heard she was called the Dino Whisperer or somet-OW!" Kenji yelps in pain when Brooklynn kicks his leg to silence him. She and the others were giving him looks that signal him to stop, which he did.

But it was too late because when Kenji gave out hints, the Paleoneurobiologist let out a gasp of realization before looking at Val with wide eyes.

"You're that girl!" Mae exclaims happily, getting from her seat and holds Val's hands with hers, "I saw you on the news years ago! You were with Rexy the T. Rex! I thought it was bad parting to leave their child alone with a predator, but she actually bonded with you! I tried to get an interview with you once but declined so many times."

"Why?" Darius asked Mae.

"I was informed by Jurassic World's staff that her guardian refuses to be questioned, he seems very protective of you." Mae said, referring to Val's uncle.

"...Yeah...my uncle worries a lot about me." Val said softly, feeling a little uncomfortable by this.

"Oh, understand, your uncle must really love you so much. But I never knew you have a twin sister?" Mae said, looking towards Celestia, who almost choked on her sandwich.

Celestia looks around nervously, she can't tell Mae that she's actually a dragon, she'll either think Celestia's crazy or because she's forbidden to talk about magic until she makes the vow. Quickly swallowing her sandwich, Celestia had to lie about this situation.

"I'm...I'm actually adopted." Celestia blurted out, surprising Mae in the process. "You see...I'm...I'm...a...a doppelganger! That's right, I'm a doppelganger, you know, the person that looks like the same person and um...we also share the same gifts! Ehehehe...hehe..." Celestia lets out a nervous laugh, feeling balls of sweat falling down her face.

The others, minus Kendall, began to worry that Mae must've suspected something. But to their surprise, Mae believed Celestia's words, "I see...I always heard theories of a doppelganger sharing the same features and looks...but never talents like communicating with animals, especially dinosaurs. Although...how were you adopted?"

"Um...a few years ago...they found out about me and my gift and...they took me in." Celestia lied, obviously isn't sure she should tell Mae about her true self.

"I see...but may I ask...do you know what happened to your parents?" Mae asked, even though it's a touchy subject, she was curious about Celestia.

Celestia lowers her head, having no memory of her parents when she hatched. She only knew her mother, but not her father, "I...don't know, I only know that my mommy died and my daddy...I...don't know if he's alive or not...and I don't think he even knows that I was even born..."

Silence came upon the room as Celestia finished her sad explanation. It's true she knows her mother had died but she never knows about nor her father. She was able to know who her mother was thanks to a king spirit, but her dad, not so much. Leaving Celestia filled with questions of whether or not her father loved her.

"I am...so sorry." Mae said, seeing that Celestia didn't want to talk about anymore, "I didn't mean-" However, her words came to a halt when her tablet let out a beeping noise, causing Mae to sigh and pick it up to look at the situation, "Drat. It's almost dinner time."

"What, you getting takeout?" Kenji asked Mae in a somewhat sarcastic tone.

"Dinner time for the T. rexes." Mae corrected, getting excited at the thought of seeing two T. rexes eating together, "I get the rare opportunity to observe mother-daughter eating habits. It's actually surprisingly sweet."

"Yeah, I even heard them talking to each other." Val answered, giving her sandwich to Redford, who eats it happily, "Mama Rex was worried for her daughter because she thought she lost."

This brightened Mae's look, "Fascinating! How do you know what they are saying?"

"I just...know, me and Celestia could understand them very well." Val said to Mae.

"Well, I am curious about what both Big Eatie and Little Eatie are talking about." Mae said with a happy smile, "Can you come along with me? I want to know what they are saying."

Val and Celestia think for a while, wondering if it was a good idea. But seeing this was their only chance to find out more of the island, and figuring a way out, they agreed, "Okay, but...can some of my friends come along?" Val asked.

"Yeah, we would feel more comfortable if they were here." Celestia added.

"Hmm...I don't know...it could be dangerous." Mae mutters out, worried about Big Eatie and Little Eatie, but if Val and Celestia can tame them...she hopes that she's doing the right thing. "All right, but only three of them can come." Sabe, Stiggy, and Redford roared/barked at Mae, wanting to come along as well as Hudson. "Okay, they can come along too."

"Me, Sammy, and Darius will come along, the others can stay here and relax. After all, they're still tired from the incidenta."

Mae, somehow, agrees, considering that Kendall, Sammy, and Darius are ready for action, plus she needed an extra hand keeping an eye on two little girls, "All right, the rest of you stay here and relax while we head out." Mae instructed and everyone agreed.

Later, Mae guides the rest of the campers along with Sabe, Redford, and Stiggy to a specific area, where they will watch how Big Eatie and Little Eatie eat together. Kendall asked why Mae named them that, and the answer she received from Mae was that it was an adorable name for them. Plus they like to eat together. Once they reached the area, they saw a metal platform on the ground, along with meats and...a quadruped dog-like robot with white plates. It has 2 toes on each leg and has a pair of eyes that are white in its patrol/passive state. It appears to be putting something on the meat which was strange in the eyes of Mae.

"Odd..." Mae mutters out.

"What is?" Val whispers to Mae.

"The BRADs usually steer clear when it's feeding time." Mae replied to her quietly.

Kendall made a confused look, "I'm sorry...but did you just say that robot is named...BRAD?" Kendall asked quietly yet in confusion.

Mae nodded her head, "Yes, you see BRAD is short for Bio Robotic Assistance Droid. They are assigned to protect the ecostasis of each artificial biome present on this island."

Kendall didn't respond as she continued watching. Darius was curious about this whole feeding time and asked Mae about it, "So... Do you ring a dinner bell or..." The ground beneath them started to shake, causing the BRAD to leave the area quickly, "Never mind."

"Look!" Celestia said quietly, pointing towards the trees.

Big Eatie and Little Eatie emerged from the jungle, heading towards the feeding platform. They got a closer look at the T. Rexes. Big Eatie has a bluish grey skin unlike other Tyrannosaurs seen previously. Big Eatie sports old scars of unknown origins, most likely from her and Little Eatie's previous play-fights. And Little Eatie, unlike her mother, her scales are brown in color, and she sports black-gray stripes that goes along the dorsal region of her body, and down her arms and legs. She also sports some old scars that came from her and her mother play fighting, or she got hurt when she tried to hunt (Mae recalled from a report; it says that when Little Eatie was above her mother's ankles, she often trips or falls on some roots or undergrowth, and oftentimes getting lost). They watched as the mother and daughter went to the meat and eat, but Big Eatie lets her daughter eat first, which is adorable.

"Aw...Aren't they cute?" Mae whispers to the group happily, "You know, Big Eatie always lets Little Eatie eat first."

"Why?" Hudson asked quietly.

"She wants her daughter to be strong." Val said softly, getting everyone's attention, "Big Eatie wants Little Eatie to be big and strong, so she can survive on this land."

"Fascinating...a devoted mother, teaching her offspring to be strong." Mae whispers with a smile, happy to know about this.

Hudson, who squinted his eyes at the food, notices something on the dinner plate. There were small white cubes that looked like sugar cubes, "Hey, Dr. Turner?" Hudson spoke quietly.

"Yes, Hudson?" Mae asked the young boy quietly.

"Do you always add sugar cubes to their diets?" Hudson points out the small white cubes on the meat.

This caught Mae's attention as she adjusted her glasses to see the white cubes on the meat, "No, those shouldn't be in there."

"Maybe someone wants to make the meat sweeter?" Darius suggested.

But something happened, Little Eatie became still for a few seconds, before she became aggressive, like, really, really aggressive. She smacks the side of her head with her mother's so hard that it forces Big Eatie to stumble while Little Eatie lets out a raged filled roar, which shocked their hidden audience. Val and Celestia could feel her unknown rage. But she wasn't the only one. Big Eatie roared and fought back to her daughter. The two girls couldn't make out what they were saying, all they heard were roars of fury from both T. Rexes.

"Dr. Turner, what's going on?! Why are they attacking each other?!" Kendall asked in a whisper.

"I-I don't know!" Mae said in shock but in a hush tone. She looks at her tablet to see the problem that is accruing, "Their aggression levels are off the charts. I've never seen this before!"

Suddenly, Big Eatie began hurting her daughter, biting her neck, and pinning her down, causing Little Eatie to roar in anger, but for some reason, she doesn't care about the pain. Which worried and scared the two girls.

"Something's wrong." Val said to the group, "Little Eatie is not feeling any pain."

"What?! That's impossible..." Mae suddenly gasped when she looked at her tablet, "Wha...Her pain receptors are dark. What is happening?"

Sammy, already knowing what's going on, mutters to the company that was doing this, "Mantah Corp."

"Dr. Turner, we have to stop them before they kill each other." Kendall said to the Paleoneurobiologist.

Mae nodded in understanding, "Right, I have to call a BRAD to tranquilize them before they hurt each other."

"You better hurry! Big Eatie is going to kill Little Eatie!" Celestia said to Mae.

"I'm on it!" Mae gave the order to BRAD, hoping it would come soon.

They watched helplessly as both Big Eatie and Little Eatie sized each other up, roaring and snapping their jaws. However, this is also a huge disadvantage for Little Eatie since her mother is bigger and more experienced in this. She easily took down her daughter, biting Little Eatie's neck so hard that blood started to pool out. Kendall was about to jump in to help until a BRAD came quickly and released a knockout gas at the two T. Rexes, causing both Big Eatie and Little Eatie to pass out. Everyone sighs in relief, knowing that the battle was over. Mae tells the kids to wait for her while she checks on Big Eatie and Little Eatie. She came down the slope and checked their injuries. They were deep and may cause infection if not treated, but otherwise, they're okay, for now.

:Do you require anything else, Dr. Mae Turner?: The BRAD asked Mae, who looked at it slowly.

"No...thank you." Mae said softly.

And with that, The BRAD left Mae to tend the injured T. Rexes. Darius, Sammy, Sabe (with Val, Celestia, and Hudson on his back), Redford, and Stiggy slide down the slope, hiding behind the unconscious Little Eatie, as they watch the BRAD leave. Once it leaves, they quickly go over to Mae.

"Are they okay?" Darius asked in concern.

"Yes, injured and unconscious, but alive." Mae said softly with a sigh, patting the sleeping Little Eatie gently, "I have tended their wounds as soon as possible."

Val and Celestia looked at each other and then to Big Eatie and Little Eatie with concern. Both T. Rexes are badly injured because of their fight. But it wasn't their fault, the thing they ate made them do it. And whatever it was, made them go ballistic. And now, they are injured, and if they are not properly treated...they will surely die. So, the little girls nodded their heads and went their separate ways. Val went to Big Eatie and Celestia went to Little Eatie. They both placed their hands on the T. Rexes' sides, channeling their powers to heal their injuries. Mae saw this and was about to stop them when she noticed faint lights escaping from their hands. Soon, the injuries of both Big Eatie and Little Eatie started to heal, leaving some faint scars. Mae stared at them in awe, wondering how they were doing this. With injuries tended, Val went over to Mae with Celestia.

"They're gonna be okay." She answered to the Paleoneurobiologist with a smile.

Mae stared at them in shock, her mouth slightly handing, "How on Earth did you do that?"

"It's a very long story, but we'll tell you soon." Celestia said to Mae.

"They're right, Dr. Turner." Kendall said, investigating the meat before picking up the cube with a serious look in her eyes, "We have other matters to deal with." Kendall went over to Mae and handed it to her.

And she knows that Mae is slowly understanding that something is up with the company she's working for.

They all quickly returned back to the cave, with Kendall explaining the while situation to Mae, who is believing every word after the incident, about Mantah Corp and Serpenti Neri working together. This made Mae determined to get the kids out of her as soon as possible, because it is no longer safe for them. But as they returned back to the cave, they found a headless BRAD on the floor along with terrified campers.

"Guys!" Kendall exclaimed in alarm, knowing that her friends were in danger.

"What happened here?" Mae asked in shock.

Kenji explained the reason, "Uh, it came in a few minutes after you left. It was scanning all over the place." Kenji explains, looking towards the headless BRAD, "It was going to kill Ben and Yaz."

"I thought you said the BRADs were friendly?" Hudson asked Mae, who stared at the broken BRAD in shock.

"They were..." Mae whispers out, fearing for the lives of the children.

"There goes the one place we were supposed to be safe." Sammy mutters out, having a bad feeling about this.

"Seems you were right to be suspicious of Mantah Corp." Mae said to Kendall before going towards her desk, placing the cube on top of it and then glares down, "Time to find out what they're doing to my dinosaurs."

Kash D. Langford was seen in a private room with a big computer screen, vocalizing to the beat of the music he was listening to, while playing with a fidget spinner. He was casually in his chair, minding his own business as his boss was talking with their client about business. Just then, beeping came to the screen, causing Kash to stop and investigate the screen. Turns out, one of his BRADs was destroyed, which angered the technician.

"What?!" Kash exclaimed in anger before he threw the fidget spinner at the screen with a yell, "Ah!"

The screen shatters, breaking in the process, "Are you kidding me?! Stupid dinosaurs destroyed one of my BRADs?!" He exclaimed in anger; he was about to get up to investigate until...

"Problem?" A cold voice that belongs to his boss's partner.

Kash yelps in surprise before he turns around with an annoyed look in his eyes when he sees Uberto, "Yeah! One of my BRADS are destroyed by a stupid dinosaur!"

Uberto narrowed his eyes before looking at the broken screen, "Where was it destroyed?"

"Why?"

"Just do it." Uberto said darkly, "Remember, the BRADs you made are funded by both Mantah Corp and Serpenti Neri."

Frowning, Kash did as he was told and informed Uberto this, "The BRAD was destroyed near Dr. Turner's cave, probably by those overgrown chickens." Kash was referring to Big Eatie and Little Eatie.

"Hmm...I see..." Uberto hums before turning around and walking away.

"Hey! Where're you going?"

"I'm going to talk with Mr. Kon, I have a feeling that Dr. Turner has...uninvited guests in her cave."
