Those dark eyes shone with the will of killing.
I can repay you…please.-Selene
This is my territory…I could kill your friend in one single howling.-The Beta
A violent flashback hit Selene.
She fell a bit limp.
But the warm hands kept her steady. Holding her slender arms on her bigger hands.
You think this is a joke?!-The Beta asked with her nostrils flared again
But poor Selene was in shock. With pain clear on her pale face.
Her almost silent sobs…the shaking of her body.
She was crying.
Jet found her pretty...too pretty...almost ethereal.
Her world stop spinning for a moment.
Gravity didn't keep her there anymore...only her...the woman, the vampire in front of her.
The vampire she was hurting.
I need to keep him away from my daughter…please…-Selene touched her chest
The shape shifter shivered at the cold hand on her bare chest. Letting go of her neck.
I'm sorry.-The woman sighed
Selene could only hear her own messy breath and the Beta's heart beating furiously…then calmly.
Selene leaned her head against that chest, where it felt like home. The Beta shivered a bit, at the contact.
The Beta's hands were lying beside her own body, quietly.
The Beta moved slowly, pulling her closer. Holding her, awkwardly at first, then gently.
And how she wished she could stay like that forever. Taking care of that beautiful woman.
She did smell good...she smelled like orchideas.
Selene pulled the air in, feeling the woman's smell...
She smelt like the forest...and some wooden cologne...soothing and warm.
It was so easy to breathe with her around...suddenly.
Their next action was totally unexplainable.
Selene got on her tiptoes, holding the back of the taller woman's neck and kissed her cheek.
Thank you for the hug.-Selene
They gazed into each other eyes for a moment.
I'm Jet.-The woman
I'm Selene.-Selene
Steps could be heard, so they separated.
Selene missed the warmth imediatly.
A young man whispered something to her. To the Beta.
Whatever it was, it made her angry. Her nostrils got flared.
Go. I'll be right behind you.-The woman answered the young man
Selene could feel the woman's agitation, even though they weren't close or touching anymore.
You're out of time…there are lycans this way. Thanks to you.-The woman
I didn't mean to give you and your pack trouble.-Selene
I'll probably regret this…but you should enter the cave, just a couple minutes from here…that way.-The woman approached a couple steps
Ok. Thank you.-Selene answered watching the woman
It's a passage to the north.-The woman
The weird feeling. The connection. It got more intense.
My smell will hide yours for a while, what's good. But not your friend's, so go.-The woman spoke
A tension was built in the woman's stomach.
Selene was feeling tense too. Inside.
Come to the fortress in the north.-Selene said almost involuntarily
The woman nodded slightly and jogged out, before shifting to wolf form.
Selene and David kept going to North.
Selene? What's this smell of…wet dog?-David winced
…the russet wolf. Remember?-Selene
Yeah…do you think they'll help us? They already bought us time.-David
I don't know…-Selene
And when they got there, the attack was happening already.
There were Marius's men everywhere.
Selene didn't have time to catch up with one of the Elders's daughter, Lena.
She met Marius and they started fighting.
They took their fight down the Var Dhor Fortress.
He shifted during their fall, to survive the high fall.
He assumed a werewolf form…evolved, humanoid.
He and Alexia overpowered Selene.
The moment Marius learned from Alexia's gift that Selene didn't lie when she said she didn't know where her hibrid daughter was, he went mad and left out a roar of frustration.
With lots of bullets on her body, feeling cold…she thought everything was lost.
So she had the idea of getting under the ice. Accepting her death and defeat.
