Nya POV: I was supposed to tell the others that we found Kai, but I couldn't stop worrying about him and had to let Jay take over as I headed back. I know that I should be letting Kai rest right now, but I was getting too jumpy and worried that I couldn't help but head , when I was about to turn the corner I overheard the boys talking about his internal bleeding and other injuries I stopped and listened from around the corner. I sighed heavily as I heard them walk away, but I shook those worries away. Because he is here now and has all the medical attention he needs.
I walked into the room and left the lights off, after seeing Kai was asleep. I quietly pulled up a chair and watched him sleep. He looked better than before, but now all the bruising was starting to show on his face. But the heart rate monitor was showing steady heartbeats and his breathing was strong, so that's something at least.
"Still worried?" Someone whispered. I looked up and saw that Lloyd entered the room. After he closed the door he walked over to me and pulled up a chair.
"A little." I whispered back.
"I get it. He was in pretty bad shape when we found him. But it's not as bad as you think." He whispered, looking right at me.
"I know, but…" I don't know how to say this.
"You want to know what happened?" I stared at him when he said that.
"...yeah. And who those… men were." I dropped my gaze.
"He'll tell us when he's ready. But probably after he heals up." He responded, with a chuckle at the end.
I chuckled myself, then we both watched as he slept, with only the beeping of the monitor filling the soon Kai's heart rate was starting to get faster, as was his breathing. I only quickly glanced at it before noticing that he was starting to eyes were still closed, but now they were scrunched and he was he sounded like he was getting attacked and he held up his arms, like he was blocking something. But his eyes were still and I immediately grabbed his arms as gently as we could and held him down so he wouldn't hurt himself. But he kept screaming.
Then Zane rushed in, and after seeing the scene in front of him, immediately went to my side. Grabbing the oxygen tank, he put the mask on taking some deep breaths he relaxed and stopped fighting us, with his heart rate going back down. Once we were confident we let go of his arms, fortunately none of his wounds opened up again.
"What happened?" Zane asked, adjusting the mask onto Kai.
Lloyd and I looked at each other before he said, "It must have been a nightmare. He didn't wake up."
"A nightmare…" I mumbled to myself
I happened to my brother...
? POV: I fell out of the portal, right on my side that is the current home of a huge open wound. I gasped in pain and couldn't move for a few moments. I heard the portal close, but that was the only thing I was aware of. Other than the it sort of went away I pushed myself up into a sitting position to look at was a large cut, about five inches tall I'd say and almost pooling out blood, which isn't a good sign. I quickly pulled out all the makeshift bandages I had and tore off my loudly, I tightly and carefully wrapped the wound then applied pressure to stop the took a while but it finally stopped bleeding. I forced myself up on my feet and stared at where the portal was. I lost them off at the end, but that doesn't mean they can't the portal. I need to move now.I glanced around my surroundings and found that I landed in an open clearing near some mountains. An area and environment I'd recognized anywhere.
I made it to Ninjago, I made it home.
