Center Outpost Brazil

"It wasn't me!" Everyone was giving Alex a blank stare. Martin was standing between her and the crowd. At the same time, they were being observed by Destroyah and Ghidorah, who were commanding Salunga from afar. Destroyah looked like he was enjoying the suffering the teenagers were feeling.

Nick pondered his options: they could either run for the hills and attract attention, or find a different route and slip out undetected.

"Alright boys and girls, time to pick our poison: would you rather make a break for it and draw attention from Salunga, or find a different route and stay away?" Brittney spoke up first: "I say we find a way around Salunga, preferably the safest route of all time: underground." "Java agrees. Under dirt is safest." "Anything to stay away from a salty blue monkey with a grudge." Sam simply nodded. "Well, I'm calling the vote here. The longer we stay here, the more agitated Salunga will be. Let's move." Using his U-Watch, Martin prepared to find a hidden route in this Center outpost. "U-Watch activated: Alpha Goggles selected." The watch showed a holographic orb, which showed an outline of a pair of high tech goggles, which in turn solidified, and emanated beams of bright light surrounding a green lense and green frame. The Alpha goggles enable him to see in the dark and to see through camouflage or invisibility, and even allows him to see infrared for tracks or footprints. Plus, in his mind, he looks cool for school. Scanning around the building, he found something interesting and anomalous. "Hey guys! Over here!" The group gathered at the sound of his voice. "Uhhh, a wall. Very good, Martin Mystery." Nick and Diana, in a strange sadistic twist of fate, deadpanned simultaneously. Responding with a smirk, Martin scratched the wall, which crumbled to reveal a hole into a pitch black tunnel. "You were saying?" Martin asked smugly.

Nick and Diana just stood still, speechless, and Alex walked past with a disapproving frown. "You guys should cut him some slack, and give him some credit." Slack jawed at the truth of the young Hispanic girl, the two decided to just shut up and follow into the depths.

As the group descended deeper into the catacombs, the first thing they noticed was a sweet aroma hitting their nostrils akin to honey. The second thing they notice is Clover salivating at the mouth for honey. "O.M.G! Is that honey I smell?!" Sam had to roll her eyes and shake Clover back to reality. The third thing they see is an eerie green glow that did not seem to be earthly, more akin to a stereotypical alien. The glow revealed itself to be a rock formation with multiple holes in a honeycomb pattern. The fourth and final anomaly they notice is the sound of chittering, insect like noises, only louder and more intense.

All of a sudden, burrowing out of the holes in the walls, were what appeared to be insectoid larvae with crablike claws, a purple carapace, and ominous glowing almond shaped yellow eyes, all the size of a rhino, giving the room the appearance of a big tidal wave. The only other sound is a shriek from Sam, and a comment from Nick. "Out of the frying and into the fire. Meganulons. Which means Megaguirus isn't far behind." Before anyone could make a move, they were all snatched up and dragged before their queen.

In the largest chamber of the hive sat a larger Kaiju sized version of the human sized bugs, only it had dragonfly wings, larger claws, a hornets stinger, and a massive face full of razor sharp teeth and demonic crimson eyes. It glared menacingly at the group, as if it were silently daring them to make a move. Martin whispered to Nick. "Nicky, you're the expert on these things, what is she doing?" Nick, pale with fear for the group, said, "Megaguirus is trying to analyze and weed one of us out to keep for later as an incubator." Paling himself, Martin sat tentatively. The minutes felt like hours, each one a tense atmosphere that cut through the air like a knife. Finally, Megaguirus made her decision, her eyes of brimstone shifted to her chosen vessel: Alex. Without warning, Megaguirus shot out a claw and grabbed Alex by the waist. A shrill, terrified scream filled the antechamber: "MARTIN!" "Alex!" Martin's voice was one filled with pure anger and vengeance: They can mess up his comic books, they can mess up his Jeep, they can even mess up his equipment, but NO ONE TOUCHES HIS GIRL! "U-Watch activated: I-Cutter selected." Laser sword reminiscent of a lightsaber from Star Wars materialized in a hologram, and activating the blade, Martin then started slashing at the Meganulon restraining him in a fit of rage. Once his was a messy heap on the floor, Martin then freed the other spies. After reorienting themselves, Clover, Brittney, and Sam remembered their gadgets, and along with remembering their insectomology studies, recalled that some species of insects are sensitive to sound, and thus chose the High Frequency Whistles. "Alright girls! Let's give these bugs a gymnastics lesson!" An ear splitting whistle filled the antechamber, stunning Megaguirus and deafening the larvae. The whistle was so loud in fact, that it resonated through the entire hive, and out into the jungle, awakening their original objective.

Back in the hive, it was chaos. Roaring in agony, Megaguirus dropped Alex, causing her to fall into Martin's arms bridal style, making her blush. It's just like in those romance novels Clover reads. Unnoticed during the commotion, the walls were starting to crack, and all of a sudden gave way to some familiar faces: the Titans had sensed that their masters were in danger once again, and had broken through the walls to save them, and also to fill their stomachs. Seeing her offspring in danger, Megaguirus took flight, knocking the heroes down to the floor. Mothra split from the group of monsters to encourage Megaguirus to chase her. Megaguirus wove in and out of the hive to give chase, but was eventually knocked out of flight by Rodan, and was pinned by Jet Jaguar and Kong. Zilla, seeing an opportunity, started to release flames from his jaw. When he was finished, Megaguirus was nowhere to be seen, and there was a sharp pain in his back. He fell limp to the ground, revealing Megaguirus and an exposed stinger: she had paralyzed Zilla, and had her sights set on Martin for interfering with her chosen host of eggs. She inched ever closer on the boy, stinger primed, Martin backed into a literal corner, when a new roar sounded through the hive, and a large mammoth type creature the size of a hill, tusks covered in vines, and the arms of a giant sloth, charged in. The creature impaled Megaguirus on his tree length tusks, and proceeded to rip Megaguirus in half, unceremoniously tossing both halves into separate corners. This apparently had a domino effect, as once Megaguirus was dead, the Meganulons also died at the same time. The group cheered in triumph, with the beast also roaring in victory. Nick walked over to Zilla, who was now starting to wake up, and patted his snout. "I was wondering when you were gonna use the breath buddy." He then walked over to the gathered crowd, where Marvin was being looked in the eyes by the new arrival. "Well done people. Marvin here is gonna be the new master of Behemoth." The group then looked at Nick as if he had grown a second head. Clover broke the silence. "Behemoth? That is probably the lamest name I have ever heard." Then she felt a sharp pain in the back of her head, and a scolding voice in her ears. "Behemoth here is a well known name! A forest titan, and guardian of the forest, and he just saved your sorry hide. What's more, he's right here behind you, so I'd be more grateful for him - to…" She never finished her sentence, for in the corner of everyone's eyes, was a cliche scene: Alex and Martin were kissing French style. The lovebirds broke apart, and saw a vehement Diana making a barfing gesture with her face. Needless to say, Martin was offended, and raised a single finger. "Excuse me for a moment." And then attempted to tackle Diana, yelling bloody murder. All the monsters just watched the comical scene in confusion: Kong scratched his head, Mothra chirped in confusion, Rodan tilted his head, Jet Jaguar simply looked at Behemoth, and Zilla simply grunted, not caring one way or the other. Nick simply facepalmed, Miki had to telepathically explain to the monsters about sibling rivalry, Clover and Sam were squealing in delight at the romantic scene earlier thanks to a photo from Clover, Billy and Java just laughed at the all too familiar altercation. Brittney however remembered something. "Wait! Guys! What about Salunga?" The two sibling rivals then broke up in remembrance. Everyone looked in the direction of the outpost, and saw the decomposing carcass of Salunga, but also Meganulons.
