Easter Egg incoming!

Well, technically, this is a hint but whatever, I still want to call it an Easter Egg.

Chapter 3: Bonding time with the shepherds

"So is it true, about your memory being lost?" The cavalier known as Sully asked Robin; she and Virion had been informed about Robin's situation.

"Yeah… I can't remember a thing before Chrom and Lissa found me." Robin nodded to her while suppressing a yawn.

"And yet you're capable of swords, tactics and that unique magic of your?" Sully questioned, finding it difficult to believe.

"You are truly gifted, to the point that it hard to believe such a claim can be true." Virion added.

"While he seem to be suspicious, there is no denying that he the reason we manage to triump against those creature without suffering any injuries." Frederick comes to the rescue, also pointing at Virion. "If any, I can also place my suspicious on you, sir Virion. Your ability with a bow is very exceptional for you to be unnoticed and to pursue Sully like that."

"Ah, my dear Frederick, no need to worry, I'm just a gentleman to all the ladies out there."

"Wow, I'm surprised. Not even a day had passed, and you already had that stoic knight as your friend." Sully said.

"Guess that added one more talent to you, right Robin?" Lissa grinned as she elbowed Robin.

'Ark, are you sure there is nothing more about me you can say?'

[I AM SORRY SIR. BUT ASIDE FROM YOUR NAME AND MY DUTY TO SERVE YOU, I'M AFRAID THAT I DON'T HAVE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION THAT I CAN GIVE YOU]

'Well, don't feel down about it. We can have a deeper conversation when we alone'

The trip was quite pleasant, and by noon they had arrived at what Robin could only guess was Ylisstol. The group quickly reached the gate, and Robin saw a few guards standing outside. He thought for a moment there that he surely had to have an identity check, but to his surprise, when the guards saw Chrom in the lead, they just bowed to him. Chrom just smiled, waved his hand at them, and led the group in.

"Are you really that well known in the city, Chrom?" Robin caught up with Chrom and asked him.

"Huh? Well, not just me, but the entire Shepheard is. They simply bowed to us to show their respect."

"Seems like you guys are really popular among the citizens?"

"Yeah, we sure did. And who knows, we might even get more with you among us than we do now. " Chrom laughed lightly.

Robin looked around the busy street, taking in the view. It was truly a bustling street, people after people walking down the street with various expressions on their faces, the numerous shops and vendors to Robin's left and right brimming with a wide range of goods from food to accessories. And in front of him from far away, standing there was a huge castle, its white color making it stand out easily in bright sunlight. The sceneny left Robin speechless.

'So this is Ylisstol, capital of Ylisse... I've never seen so many people!' Robin murmurs.

[TO BE FAIR SIR, YOU ONLY WOKE UP YESTERDAY WITH ALL YOUR MEMORY LOST. THE MOST YOU HAVE SEEN WAS IN THAT SMALL TOWN AND IT WAS BECAUSE OF THOSE BARBARIANS]

'True'

"It appears the capital was spared the chaos we encountered, thank the gods." Frederick let out a sigh of relief "I see no evidence of the great quake. It must've been limited to the forest."

"Well that's a relief." Lissa smiled a bit with glee. Then a sudden bout of cheering got the group attention.

"Look! The exalt has come to see us!" a nearby old man cried out, his face full of joy as others took up similar cries. A few moments after that, Robin caught sight of the exalt and to him, she absolutely breathtaking. The exalt was much younger than Robin had imagined, perhaps a few years older than Chrom. She had gorgeous golden hair, gentle blue eyes, and a gentle smile that started to melt Robin's heart. She waved her hand gently to the masses surrounding her as she slowly walked down the street, accompanied by Ylisse soldiers. Robin doesn't know why, but he feels a sense of serenity when looking at her. Pause for a moment, Robin shaking his head to get out of his daze.

[AGAIN?]

'What? I'm just admire her.' Robin grunted in his head, making a guess from what Ark just said.

[NOT EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN, SIR, BUT WHATEVER YOU SAY]

Robin groaned, then turned to the group. "The exalt is your ruler, yes?"

"Yes. Her name is Lady Emmeryn." Frederick answered.

"Is it safe for her to walk among commoners like this?" Robin questioned. The knight looked back at him and gave a gentle genuine smile.

"The exalt is a symbol of peace-Ylisse's most prized quality. Long ago, at the dawn of our age, the fell dragon tried to destroy the world. But the first exalt joined forces with the divine dragon and laid the beast low. Exalt Emmeryn reminds us all of the peace we fought for then."

"With Plegia poking at our borders, the people need her." Chrom added "She's a calming presence, when some might otherwise call for war."

"Then the Ylissean people are indeed lucky to have her." Robin nodded.

"She's also the best big sister anyone could ask for!" Lissa cheerfully added.

"Yes, I imagine she..." Robin stopped mid-way, thinking about what he just heard. "Wait, what? She's your... But wouldn't that make you and Chrom..."

"The prince and princess of the realm, yes." Frederick chuckled in response.

[AH-HAH! I KNEW IT. I KNEW THEY WERE RELATED!]

"You remember Chrom's name and not this?"

"You said you were "shepherds"!" Robin shouted a bit, still shocked at the sudden information, even though it kinda make sense when he thinking about it.

"And so we are...in a manner of speaking. We just have a LOT of sheep." Chrom pointed out.

Suddenly realizing he was standing and talking in front of a prince, Robin quickly bowed his head and started to apologize "C-Chrom... I mean, Prince Chrom! Sire! Forgive my dreadful manners!"

"Just Chrom is fine. I've never been much for formalities." He assured Robin "It feel weird when suddenly using it."

"Don't worry about titles with us, Robin." Sully slapped Robin on the back. "Once you are a Shepherd, then you are family, everyone is treated equally."

As Robin start to calm down, he look at Frederick and realize something "The prince and princess... That explains why Frederick tolerates all the teasing, eh?"

"Indeed," Frederick sighed, "Oh, the sacrifices I make for the good of the realm…"

"It looks like Emm is returning to the palace. Would you like to meet her?" Chrom asked.

"Really, you'd let me meet her in person?" he asked.

"Why not? Like Sully just said, we all are family now, of course I want to introduct you to her."

"T-then, I'd be honored," he responded with a bow.

"Seriously Robin, don't do that, I'm gonna get goosebumb."

With that said, the group took off again, this time toward the castle.

'Ark.'

[YES, SIR]

'Why did you not tell me that they were related?!' Robin shouted angrily inside his head.

[WELL, I WAS ABOUT TO BUT YOU MISINTERPRETED WHAT I SAID SO I DECIDED TO REMAIN SILENT]

'Ark, YOU!'

Eventually, the group reaches the castle gates. As they were cleared to enter the castle, Sully excused herself, saying that she was not the one for a formal meeting. And to her annoyance, Virion chose to follow her as well. As the group of four entered the castle, Robin's eyes scanned the entire palace, taking in the brilliance of the place. Soon enough, they came to a huge door that was watched by guards. Before opening the door, Frederick turn to Robin.

"Now that I think about it, I don't seem to see you with your weapon outside of battle, it's like you pull it out of thin air."

At what Frederick said, Robin reach his hand out and grab the Attache Calibur and two of his ProgriseKey "Oh, sorry, I forgot to explain. This is a spell to create a subspace for me to store my weapon in."

Robin decided to tell them what Ark advised him to say. Everyone, including the guards, is staring at what Robin just displayed with their jaws dropping.

"What more mystery do you have?" Frederick pinched his nose and shook his head "Well, I don't know if you have anymore weapons with you, but I must ask you to leave those with the guard."

"I understand. And don't worry, this is all the weaponry that I have." Robin assured them as he handed the guards his weapon. The guards then opened the door, stepped back, and allowed the four to enter. As Robin took a few steps inside, his gaze swept the hallway's walls and ceiling, and he was struck by how grand it was in comparison to everything else he had seen. Focusing his attention back to the hallway, he saw a throne at the end of it. Standing in front of it were two women, the first of whom was the gorgeous exalt that he had seen a moment before. The other was a female soldier that Robin guessed was in her early thirties; she was wearing highly decorated golden armor, had light blue hair that was braided and woven into a bun, and had stern eyes. The atmosphere around her reminded him a little bit of Frederick.

"Chrom, Lissa, welcome home." Emmeryn's voice was quite and kind, just like her appearance. She came over and pulled the two into a gentle hug "Oh, and good day Frederick. How fared you all?" She added, looking at him as she pulled away.

"Well-we shouldn't have any bandit problems for a while." Chrom answered with a smile.

"Wonderful. And our people?" Emmeryn asked.

"Safe as they can be, Emm. But we still need to watch the borders. The brigands crossed over from Plegia." His voice was full of concern.

The woman beside Emmeryn, who had been quite thus far, frowned at what she just heard "Forgive me, milord. My pegasus knights should have intercepted them."

"No, Phila. Your duty was here, with the exalt." Chrom assured her.

"And besides, we had plenty of help." Lissa added, evidently eager to introduce the newest Shepherd.

"Ah, you speak of your new companion here?" Emmeryn turned her attention to the silver-haired tactician.

Meeting her gaze for the first time, Robin got startled and instinctively dropped to one knee "Forgive me, milady, I apologize for my ill-mannered!"

[I DON'T THINK THEY DO THAT HERE, SIR]

Around him, everyone starts to laugh a little bit, even the stoic knight Frederick chuckles at this.

"Just stand up, Robin. I already told you that there is no need to worry about formalities." Chrom help him stand up and turn to his older sister "This is Robin. He fought bravely with us against the brigands. I've decided to make him a Shepherd."

"It sounds as though Ylisse owes you a debt of gratitude, Robin." Emmeryn said, still having the warm smile as she bow to Robin. Her beauty and smile made Robin feel like he was standing in front of an angel.

"Forgive me, Your Grace, but I must speak." Frederick raised his voice, causing Robin to snap out of his thoughts. As everyone's eyes were on him, he continued "Robin claims to have lost his memory, but it is only that: a claimI mean no disrespect to you, Robin, but we cannot rule out the possibility that you are a brigand yourself or even a Plegian spy."

"Frederick!" Chrom interrupted harshly. Clearly everyone was not happy with Frederick accusing Robin. However, Robin wasn't surprise much as he knows that it was his duty. Even if Frederick already trust him a little bit, it was still his responsibility to protect his lord from any threat. Nevertheless, Chrom was ready to argue with Frederick if it wasn't for Emmeryn to stepped in.

"Yet you allowed him into the castle, Chrom. Does this man have your trust?" She asked with concern in her voice as Chrom turned to face her again.

"Yes." He said immediate without hesitation "He risked his life for our people. That's good enough for me."

"Well then, Robin…" Emmeryn smiled towards Robin "It seems you've earned Chrom's faith, and as such you have mine as well."

"Milady." Robin muttered, surprise as she turned to Frederick.

"But thank you, Frederick, for your prudence, as always. Chrom and Lissa are blessed to have so tireless a guardian. I do hope they remember to mention that from time to time..." She smiled as she said it. Chrom and Lissa scratched their necks and grinned pitifully, but Frederick was quite proud about it.

"They occasionally express something akin to gratitude, Your Grace." Frederick answered with a bow, he then became serious and turned to face the female knight "Phila, I assume you've heard about the deathly creatures we encountered, yes?"

"Yes, milord. They've been sighted all across Ylisse." Phila confirmed.

"Chrom, we are about to hold council. I was hoping you could join us."

"Of course," Chrom agreed, with Frederick beside him, who also planned to participate in the meeting as well. While Robin was still weighing whether he should follow them or not, Lissa suddenly grabbed his hand.

"I think that's our cue, Robin!" Then she eagerly pulled him out of the room "C'mon, there's a place I want to show you."

Right when Robin stepped out of the room, he noticed that the guards were inspecting his weapon, more or less trying to figure out what kind it was. The guards were startled when they saw Robin, and panic returned his sword and ProgriseKeys. When he looked at the sword, he noticed that it was still in attach mode, and the blade showed no signs of being flipped out.

[THAT'S WHAT MAKES YOUR WEAPON UNIQUE. I MODIFIED IT SO THAT YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN USE THE WEAPON. THAT MEANS ONLY YOU CAN FLIP THE BLADE OUT, AND ONLY YOU CAN FULLY UTILIZE THE PROGRISEKEYS ABILITIES]

Robin whistled and whisked them back into the subspace. Lissa once again saw this and asked.

"Wow, Robin, that really one of a kind magic you got there. Can it store anything else or just your weapon?"

[TECHNICALLY, IT CAN. BUT PLEASE, SIR, IF YOU MUST, DO NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING STRANGE IN]

"All I can say is that if you want, I can be your porter." Robin jokingly said.

Lissa grinned joyfully "Very funny, Robin." She said, wrapping his hand into hers much to Robin's embarrassment "Now come on, we almost there."

She guided Robin to a large building at the edge of the courtyard. Releasing his hand and opening the door, Lissa stepped inside first, with Robin following right behind her. From there, he took a look around the building. He was quite impressive, the building was much bigger on the inside than outside. There is a lot of crates and sacks scattered around the place, some bottles on the ground, and a huge shield almost as tall as a person. There was also a large table in the back with some books and what appeared to be a map on it.

"Here we are! The Shepherds' garrison." She smiled and declared loudly to get Robin's attention. "Go on, make yourself at home."

At this declaration, everyone in the garrison stared at him, which made him a little bit uncomfortable.

"Lissa, my treasure!" Suddenly, a loud voice cried out. Robin saw a woman rush toward Lissa and hug her tightly. Similar to Lissa, she had blonde hair, but hers was twisted into several large curls, and she had two white bows on either side of her head. She was wearing high society clothing and carrying a white parasol "Are you all right? I've been on pins and needles!"

"Oh, hey, Maribelle!" Lissa answered cheerfully.

""Oh, hey" yourself! I've sprouted fourteen gray hairs fretting over you!"

"Aw, you worry too much. I can handle a battle or two!" Lissa pat her friend back, reassure her then her face frown a little "...Although I could do without the bugs and the bear barbecue..."

"Hey, squirt! Where's Chrom?" A blonde man cut in, he had tanned skin and was currently wearing just pants with armor on his legs, something around his neck attached with two short chains, and armor around his left arm "I bet he had a rough time out there without ol' Teach and his trusty axe!"

"Oh, so you're "Teach" now, Vaike, is that it?" Lissa asked with a giggle "Hee hee! And here I thought people were just born lacking wits. It can be taught?"

"Ha! Never doubt the Vaike!" answered Vaike in the third person before realizing what Lissa just said "...Wait, was that an insult?"

"Beg pardon, but when might we see the captain?" Asked a young woman worriedly before Vaike could truly process Lissa's comment. She had light brown, waist-length hair and wore a light suit of plate armor on top of light pink and lavender clothing.

"Poor Sumia. She's simply been beside herself with concern..." said Maribelle, with a sly smile "Her eyes were scanning the horizon all day during training. ...She might have earned fewer bruises fighting blindfolded."

[FIGHTING BLINDFOLDED? IS THAT SOME KIND OF SPECIAL TRAINING? MAYBE IT COULD HELP YOU, DON'T YOU THINK, SIR?]

'Please don't'

"Aw, Sumia, that's so sweet of you to worry about Chrom." Lissa smiled.

"Worry? Well, I... He's our captain and our prince-of course I'd worry!" Sumia began to stammer nervously. But before she could say anything more, Vaike noticed Robin.

"So, who's the stranger?"

"No one's stranger than you, Vaike..." Lissa takes a dramatic pause "But allow me to introduce Robin! He just joined the Shepherds. Chrom's made him our new tactician. You should see all the tricks he's got up his sleeve!"

"oh yeah? Can he do this?" Feeling being challenged, he giving off the loudest burp that anyone had ever heard.

"Nothing of the sort." Lissa chuckled and turn to Robin "Robin, why don't you show them what you got."

"With pleasure." Robin smiled as he take out the Hornet's ProgriseKey.

THUNDER!

Robin's body was immediately covered in electricity. He performs many tricks, such as rapidly shooting out electric current to form six small energy hornet stingers into a circle around his hand and shooting it at one of the crates.

Everyone in the building gasped when Robin pulled out his ProgriseKey out of nowhere, and they were even more surprised by his performance. Well, aside from Lissa, who just giggled the whole time.

"Wow, dude!" Vaike was the first one to break the silence "We really got ourselves some big shots this time, huh?" He said as he wrapped one of his arms around Robin's neck, laugh loudly.

"Thank you, "Teach." But I'm sure I have much to learn from you in the belching arts. In any case, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintances." Robin grinned.

"I see you guys are getting to know each other really fast." A familiar voice rang out, making Vaike release his arm. Robin look back and saw that Chrom had stepped inside the barrack. He is smiling to see Robin bonding with the others.

Before Chrom could say anything more, Sumia rushed forward to greet him "Ah! Captain! You've returned! we were so-" She started to say but suddenly slipped on some stacks of paper and tripped, sending all the paper flying everywhere around the building, blocking everyone eyes.

"Sumia!" Chrom cried out.

After a moment, the paper finally cleared out and everyone had a clear view of what happened, and they were really surprised. By some miracle, Robin had been standing right in front of Sumia before she fell, thus becoming her cushion. Sumia then opened her eyes, and she saw that she was only a few inches away from Robin's face. It took her a few seconds to register what had happened, and by that time, her face had turned crimson red. She panicked and jumped off Robin, then immediately apologized.

"I'm sorry, Robin! I'm very sorry for my clumsiness!" She spoke rapidly while bowing.

Chrom stepped over and extended his hand to Robin, helping him getting up.

[I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU DID IT BUT YOU HAVE MY RESPECT, SIR *clap**clap**clap*]

A window pops up with three clapping hands in front of Robin.

'I swear I don't know anything about that!'

"No, no, you don't have to apologize. It's all just an accident." Robin waved his hand to calm her down.

Seeing that the situation had been die down, Chrom turned his attention to the group "All right, listen, everyone: tomorrow morning, we'll be marching to Regna Ferox."

"Regna Ferox?" Robin questioned.

Sumia answered before Chrom could "A unified kingdom to Ylisse's north. Inhabited by barbarians, or so it's said."

"Warriors are what they are, and we'll need their strength to quell this new menace." Chrom corrected her "Typically, the exalt would request such aid in person. But given recent events and the Risen... Well, the people might worry should my sister suddenly leave the capital. So the task has been passed to us."

"Risen?" Robin asked curiously.

"We needed a name for the creature we fought before, so the council gave them one." Chrom clarified.

"Now, this mission is strictly voluntary. So if, for any-"

"I volunteer!" Lissa said raising her hand.

"Me too!" Vaike replied after her "You'll be needin' ol' Teach along for such a delicate mission!" Robin showed a poker face at this remark.

"I'll go as well." A new voice spoke up, surprising Robin, he turns around to see a tall man with dark hair wearing massive armor, his eyes were so narrowed that they seemed to be close.

"Where did you come from?!" Robin questioned while his heart still beating.

"...What? I've been here the whole time! The name is Kellam by the way." The knight said.

[HM? IS HE REALLY THAT HARD TO SEE? GUESS I SHOULD PUT A MARK ON HIM.]

'Please do. And keep turn off the circle around people face.'

[OF COURSE, SIR]

"I… I um…" Sumia muttered, not sure what to say.

"Yes, Sumia?" Chrom asked.

"It's just that... I'm not sure I'm quite ready for a proper mission just yet. I'd probably just get in the way." She answered, it seems like it hasn't been long since she joined the Shepherd.

"Well, you could stay behind the main group, and if a battle is met, just watch and learn? Your choice, of course. But some lessons can only be learned on the battlefield." Chrom assured her. After a few moments, she slowly nodded, confirming that she would join the mission.

Chrom then turned his attention back to the group. "Then I guess that settles it. You guys should take it easy for the rest of the day because we're marching first thing tomorrow morning."

Everyone nodded and walked out of the building to do their own things, leaving only Robin and Chrom remain inside.

"Oh, Robin, please follow me. Me and Emm had decided to give you a room inside the castle. I will lead you there." Chrom signals for Robin to follow him. They walk out of the building and into the castle again.

"So what do you think about the Shepherds?" Chrom broke the silence while they were walking in a long corridor.

"Well, I have only been able to have a quick conversation with Vaike and Sumia, but I can say that they are all friendly. Around them, I can feel a warm atmosphere."

"That's good to hear, and I've already noticed the way they speak to you. I'm sure you will quickly fit in with the group in no time, I have no doubt." Chrom nodded.

"Well, I don't know about my past, but tomorrow sure is going to be a big day for me. I just hope my tactic will help everyone, even if it's only a little bit."

"You worry too much about it, Robin. If it helps, just remember that it was all thanks to you that we managed to get out of yesterday's crisis." Chrom laughed and patted Robin on the shoulder.

"Yeah, thanks Chrom."

[WHY DO YOU HAVE TO WORRY WHEN YOU HAVE ME?]

Finally, the two of them have come to a halt in front of the large room door. Chrom opened the door and stepped inside "Well, it's not much, but we decide that this will be your room from now on."

Robin follow him and look around the room, it was a simple room to say the least. A large bed that could likely fit in two or three people in, a bedside table, a wardrobe near the bed. A desk is in front of the window facing the training ground. From the view, Robin could assume that his room was quite high. There is also a bookshelf full of books that make Robin want to read them all.

"I don't really know what you really need, but since you are a tactician, I asked the servant to prepare all kinds of books for you." Chrom scratches his neck and sheepishly smiles.

Robin turned back and smiled. "No, Chrom. It's a very nice room, thank you so much." Then he extended his hand. Chrom look at his hand and shake it, smiling.

"Well, I've got to go now. You should take a rest, there will be a maid bring your dinner tonight." Chrom said, walk out of the room, then close the door.

Alone now in his new room, Robin decided his first thing to do was to lie on his bed. He didn't know how long it had been since he'd been lying on something this soft, but damn, this felt great.

[YOU LOOK VERY COMFORTABLE, SIR]

"Of course I am." Robin said in a relaxing tone.

[WELL, WHILE YOU AT IT, WHY DON'T YOU CHECK OUT SOME OF THE BOOK]

At this, Robin immediately sat up "Now that is a good ideal."

He walked to the bookshelf and scanned all the titles. He initially assumed that there would only be books about strategy, but he was surprised to discover that there were many different types of books, ranging from romance to horror. It took him a while to decide, but he eventually took out four books that appeared to be the most interesting. It looks like these books are in the same series.

"Let see here." Robin put all four book on the table beside the bed. He first check the title. "Volume one: Wonder Fates. Two: Logos of Birthright. Three: Clad in Conquest. And four: Almighty Revelation."

[WHY DO I HAVE A BAD FEELING ABOUT THE THIRD BOOK?]

"Me too." He said this as he picked up the first, thinnest of the four books "It looks like that volume one is merely a prologue; the real story will begin in volume two."

[WELL, YOU ENJOY YOUR BOOKS, AND I'M GONNA PREPARE MORE WEAPONS FOR YOU]

"What are you planning to do?"

[ASIDE FROM NEW PROGRISEKEYS, THERE IS SOMETHING AMAZING COMING, HEHE. SOMETHING WILL MAKE YOU A TRUE KA-]

"Ka- what?" Robin asked since Ark didn't finish the sentence.

[YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THAT, JUST SIT BACK AND LEAVE THE JOB FOR ME]

Knowing Ark, Robin stopped pressing and started flipping the first page of the book.

Next morning

*knock**knock**knock*

"Robin, are you awake yet?" A knocking sound was heard from outside Robin's room, and it was Lissa who came to wake him. After a while of receiving no response, she reached for the handle "I'm coming in." Then she opened the door.

She walk inside, then there he was, lying upright on the bed, with one of the book opened to cover his face "You must be really tired, huh?"

Thinking of letting Robin sleep a little more, Lissa looks at his desk. There she saw a cassette-like thing. "Is this the thing that gives Robin his power?" She pick it up and wondered "The picture look kinda scary, I wonder if I…" Then a mischievous smile spread across her face.

Lissa run out of the room, minutes later she came back, in her hand was a brush and a bottle of ink "Hee hee, time for a make up."

She really absorb in her "job" that she then accidently knock the bottle, result in covered the whole ProgriseKey in ink. She then grab it in horror "Oh, no. Robin gonna yelling at me for sure."

*Snort**Thud*

A noise sounded behind her, making her startle. She slowly turned her head back and let out a sigh of relief, as it was just Robin changing his sleeping position, which made the book on his face fall off to the ground.

Placed the ProgriseKey in her pocket, She approaches Robin slowly, crouching down to examine his face "You must really be wiped out. Not that I blame you, getting wrapped up in all this." Then she smiled again, completely forgetting about her recent mishap "Hee hee! Looks like it's time to quiiietly...geeently...hold your nose!"

Then she blocked his nose "Nh...gnnkh...nnrrrrgh...!" Robin's face became frowning, then pale, and finally he opened his eyes, jumped up on his bed, and yelled, "BWARGH!Wha—?! Risen! Wolves! Risen riding wolves! They're...all..."

[WHAT?! ENEMY?! WHERE IS THE ENEMY?! SCANNING THE AREAAAA!]

"Wait a moment…" Robin stopped, still sweating, but starting to notice things around him.

"Hee hee hee hee hee! AAAAH ha ha ha ha! "BWARGH"?! Oh gods, that was HILARIOUS! Heeeee hee hee hee hee!" and the first thing he registers is Lissa, laughing and rolling on the floor while holding her stomach.

"Lissa, gods bless it... I was fast asleep!" Robin's voice was clearly annoyed.

"And dreaming of Risen and wolves, apparently?" She finally calmed down from laughing, but she still giggled. "Tee hee hee! I'm sorry. I tried to resist—I really did. But it was just too perfect!"

"Who does such things? Is that really how your parents raised you?!" It was only when he finished that he realized his mistake.

Lissa immediately stopped giggling but had a sad face, then bowed her head down "...I...I don't know... I never really knew my parents..."

"Oh... Oh, right. That was... Er..." Robin stutter at this.

[SIR, YOU MUST APOLOGIZE TO HER, QUICK]

"Oh, don't worry about it. I know you didn't mean anything by it." She looked back at him, putting on a brave face "And actually, there's something else that I should be apologizing for..."

"Whatever it is, I'm sure I can forget it if you can forgive my heartless comment..."

Then her expression completely change "Really? That's great! Oh, I was SO sure you were going to be SO angry..." She pulls the ProgriseKey from her pocket and hands it to him. "See, I was kinda doodling on your thing to make it look less scary, ...Aaand then I kinda spilled the ink and kinda...ruined it, kinda...completely. Ireallyreallyreallydidn'tmeanto!"

[WAIT WHAT?! IS THAT THE NEW PROGRISEKEY I JUST MADE!]

"What?! Are you serio…"

[ACTUALLY, THAT WASN'T THAT MUCH OF A DEAL]

*cough**cough*

He coughed a bit because of the sudden stop, then cleared his throat " I mean... It's... It's fine. Accidents...happen."

"Oooh pheeew! Thanks Robin."

Now calmed down, Robin sit back on his bed "So what are doing here so early in the morning?"

"Oh, I almost forgot. Chrom told me to come get you. We're gonna start marching in about an hour, so you should get prepared."

"Then I guess I will start now."

"Great, then I'm gonna go now, giving you some privacy."

"Oh, and Lissa…" Robin called when she stood at the door "Please don't hold my nose next time, I'm gonna have a heart attack."

Lissa just giggled then ran.

Robin sighs, looking at the ProgriseKey now covered in ink "So what now?"

[YOU JUST NEED TO PUT IT BACK IN THE SUBSPACE, AND IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY CLEAN THE PROGRISEKEY FOR YOU]

"That cool." Then he wondered "So why did you have to put it on the table? Why not just put in the subspace from the start?"

[NO REASON]

Robin groaned, he grabbed his robe and put it on. Then he looks at the book on the ground. Last night, he finished the first book and the first few chapters of the second.

[QUITE AN INTERESTING STORY, DON'T YOU THINK, SIR]

"Yeah, and I'm planning to bring them with me. Read it when I have some spare time."

Robin picked up all the book, holding it then process to walk out of his room. The next moment, Robin felt like something slammed into him and made him fall to the ground. He was about to let out a sound of pain when-

"Ouch!" Wait, what? Since when did his voice become this feminine? He opened his eyes and saw a brunette, face only a few inches from him again.

"Sumia?"

"Huh?" Sumia also opened her eyes, then she immediately jumped right up, her face turning crimson red again "I'm sorry! I'm very sorry, Robin! I was carrying too many books, and I don't see the way."

Robin stood up and looked around. There were a lot of books scattered on the ground "Oh, don't worry about that. Let me help you pick them up."

After the two of them finish picking up all the books, Robin offers to help her carry some of the book "That's a lot of books you've got there. Are you going to read all of them?"

"Someone threw them out of a wagon, so I figured I'd give them a good home."

"What a good idea! I also found some really interesting books in my room yesterday." He showed her his books.

"Oh, what is it about?"

"Well, I had only finished the first book. To summarize, it was about a prince who had been trapped inside a fortress for training. And when it was time for him to leave, he found out that the family that he had lived with till now was the one that had kidnapped him since he was small. At the end of the book, he had to choose between defending an innocent nation, which is his real family, or conquering it with the family that kidnapped him." He stopped to take a breath "There was also a third choice, in which he fought both families and hoped to unite them all. What is most intriguing is his power, depending on his choice, he is granted with various swords and books containing the power of many things from God Beast, Animal, Stories to aid him on his journey."

"Wow, that's great. But why does the second choice sound like it would lead to a bad ending? Sumia asked.

"Well, I don't know. I was only at the start of the second volume and it was about him defending the nation with his real family. He is granted the sword of flowing water and a book with the power of a lion."

"You make me really want to read it now. You must really let me borrow them when you are finish." Sumia excitedly said.

"Ha ha, I will." Robin smiled "What about you, any recommendations?"

"Let's see..." Sumia started scanning her pile of books "Ooh, this one looks like a real page-turner! "Shanty Pete and the Haunted Pirates"!"

Robin received it, and when he looked at the cover, it was no doubt a horror theme book "Er, thank you, but I don't like to read scary stories before bed."

"Oh, of course. Well, what about... "A Simpleton's Guide to Pegasus Care"?" She continued.

[A GUIDE BOOK? SERIOUSLY?]

"I'm not really that into animal nonfiction..."

"Well, maybe third time's the charm." She looked a bit down "Let's see now... Oh, this looks great! "Wyvern Wars: Terror at High Noon"!"

"...Do you perhaps have anything a bit more...literary?" Robin's feeling hesitant to ask this question.

And what made him scared had come true, Sumia's eyes suddenly welled up with tears "...Oh, pegasus poop! I'm USELESS at this! Useless, useless, useless! Just pick him out a book, Sumia! It's so easy, Sumia! But noooooo! I'm too...darn... USELESS! Waaaaaaaaah!"

[OKAY, I'M OUT. YOU DO YOUR MAGIC THINGS, SIR]

'What? Help me, Ark!'

Oh, goodness! Please don't cry! I didn't mean to imply..." Robin panicked and tried to comfort her "A-actually, did you say "Wyvern Wars"? I've always wanted to read that one! I mean, it has terror at high noon and everything, right? You, uh, can't beat that..." He quickly grabs the book and cherishes it like his life depends on it.

"R-really? You want that one?" She stopped crying, a smile on her face "Oh, I'm so happy... I hope you like it!"

Crisis averted, Robin used his robe to wipe the sweat that was rolling down his forehead. Then he change the topic "Well, we should quickly gather up with the group, it's almost time."

"Oh, you're right. Let's hurry up so we don't make others wait."

With that, the two of them made their way to the main gate, joining up with the Shepherd.

And done.

Wow, I really should have divided this chapter into two parts. But meh, I want to make it a full chapter anyway.

It starts to get difficult when I have to create some original conversations that match each character's personality. And with Miriel in the next chapter *sigh*

Well, I'll still try to do my best.

Next update: chapter 4: Show them the explosive power.

P/S: Can you guys guess which ProgriseKey makes a debut next chapter ^^
