Kagami never did get sick of traveling via Chat Noir. Why spend half an hour on a cramped train when you can be carried around by the best hero in Paris? And as a bonus they'd arrived in half the time, Chat let her down about 5 minutes away from the aquarium and once he was sure there was nobody around, he transformed back into Adrien.
"So, what animals do they have here again?" Kagami questioned as they headed towards the entrance, simply earning a shrug from Adrien.
"I have absolutely no idea, I've just always wanted to go here" He replied, nonchalantly Kagami just rolled her eyes in response before heading inside.
It wasn't too busy right now, so they didn't have to wait long and once they were inside Adrien looked over a map for a moment. "Kagami they've got penguins!" Adrien's tone was that of an excitable child; she hadn't really seen him like this without cat ears.
"Okay… well I'm guessing you wanna go see them?" Kagami asked in a deadpan tone Adrien nodded enthusiastically before leading the way.
Adrien had a little too much self-respect to join the group of kids feeding the penguins, but he still watched the penguins from the viewing area with Kagami, Kagami took out her notepad and sketched the birds all though when she looked up from the pad Adrien was gone, she'd only looked away for maybe a minute.
"Adrien? Where did you?" Kagami turned to look for him and saw him offering her a can of soda. "Oh thanks, how did you manage to sneak off so quickly without me noticing?" Kagami asked as she took the can, Adrien simply shrugged in response.
"It's just my Cat like reflexes I suppose" Adrien mused as he sat down next to her "Still I guess I should have let you know instead of just disappearing."
"Well yeah you've got the map I'd quite literally be lost without you" Kagami sighed as she got up putting her notepad away, Adrien thought for a moment before taking a hold of her hand.
"Well how about this? Now we can't get separated" Kagami simply nodded before getting up, the pair headed through the shark tunnel watching the fish swim overhead.
"So, Kagami, I know this was my idea but is there anything you wanted to see?" Adrien was feeling somewhat awkward, it wasn't fair if he was the only one enjoying himself.
"Relax Adrien, I wouldn't have agreed to come if I didn't have any interest myself" Kagami replied as if reading Adrien's mind, something she'd done a few times recently.
"Well, that's great just lead the way, Kagami" Adrien replied in an enthused tone Kagami headed to the end of the tunnel into a dimly lit room illuminated by bioluminescent jellyfish.
"Could I ask you something? You used to Call Marinette Princess as Chat right? Do you have a Nickname for me?" Adrien swore he detected a hint of jealousy in her tone, but he decided not to say anything about it.
"Well, Plagg used to call you ice queen, but he's stopped that now" as if on cue the little menace flew from Adrien's pocket.
"Hey! you don't need to tell her that kid! That was before." Plagg protested.
"Really Plagg? Well, I suppose I won't get you that honey baked camembert for Christmas" Kagami played along faking offense. Plagg almost fainted upon hearing that.
"No! Please I'll make it up to you Kagami I'm sorry" Plagg begged he didn't seem to realise this was a joke.
"I Suppose if you're on your best behaviour from now on I might forgive you" Kagami decided to let him off the hook earning an enthused nod from the cat god. "Anyway, about What I asked?" Kagami turned her attention back to Adrien who looked a little sheepish
"Well, no I don't have a nickname for you but not because I like Marinette more or anything I call you Kagami because I just happen to really like that name" Adrien's tone was a little awkward being put on the spot but it was clear he meant that.
Kagami didn't expect that answer, nor did she anticipate how flustered it would make her "Well… thank you I suppose" She mumbled as she looked off to the side to try and hide her embarrassment.
"I could try to think of a nickname for you if you want," Adrien offered, though Kagami simply shook her head in response.
"No, that's fine you can just call me whatever you like" Kagami's replied swiftly, which didn't escape Adrien's attention seemingly picking up on how embarrassed Kagami was, now of course Adrien wouldn't tease her about that, but his inner Chat Noir seemed to get the better of him.
"Anything huh? Whatever you say beautiful" Adrien teased with a Chat-like grin which embarrassed Kagami, but she wasn't going to let him get the better of her so easily.
"Oh, so my looks are all that matter to you huh?" Kagami wasn't serious but her stern tone didn't let Adrien know that.
"Wh-what? No of course not that's not what I meant." Adrien stammered to defend himself but was cut off by Kagami simply poking his cheek.
"Kidding, I know you aren't that shallow, can't say you didn't have it coming though." Adrien couldn't really argue with her, he'd started it after all. Kagami simply nodded before sitting down and beginning to sketch the jellyfish. Adrien attempted to look at the drawings over her shoulder but swiftly found his view blocked.
"You can't look until I'm finished" Adrien expected that answer, but he figured it was worth a shot, ever since her classes had started, she'd been a lot more serious about her drawings.
Adrien simply watched the fish in the tanks in an attempt to entertain himself, occasionally he'd try to sneak a look at the drawing only to be swiftly repelled by Kagami by the time she was done he hadn't managed to see it once.
"Alright and I'm done it's just a rough draft, but I don't think it looks half bad" She turned her notepad towards him, she had drawn him stood in front of the tank watching the jellyfish it was a little rough like she said but it was a lot better than he could do
"I'm not an artist but I think that's really good. You've really improved since your lessons started." Adrien was always quick to give compliments, but she appreciated it nonetheless she simply nodded in response
"Well thanks, that's actually why I wanted to go to come today I thought it might help inspire me" Adrien had suspected as much this didn't seem like the type of place she'd normally be interested in.
"Did it work?"
"Well sort of but it wasn't just the animals that helped inspire me" Kagami said with a small smile but spoke up again before Adrien could ask what she meant; she had a feeling he knew anyway. "So, is there anything else you wanted to see or are we okay to leave?" The question took Adrien off guard but then he realised the time, sure he had more free time now his father had eased up a bit, but he still had schoolwork to do.
"Ah you're probably right, do you remember the way out?" Adrien joked but when he saw a look of concern flash across Kagami's face, he took out the map from his pocket. "Just a joke." Kagami rolled her eyes as Adrien took her hand and headed for the exit.

Once they were far enough from the aquarium Adrien and Kagami ducked down an alleyway and Adrien changed into Chat Noir once again, he went to pick Kagami up like before but before he could she pulled him into a kiss, it was initially a shock, but it didn't take long for him to reciprocate, after about a minute Kagami pulled away leaving him with just one thought.
"Where did that come from?"
"Well, I don't get to kiss you all that often as Chat Noir but there's nobody else around now so it shouldn't be a problem, right?" Kagami seemed a little different around Chat then she was around Adrien perhaps a little more flirtatious? Which obviously made no sense seeing as she knew they were the same person, but he didn't mind.
"No, it's no problem, I guess you won't mind this then?" Chat took her in his arms before giving her a quick kiss on the cheek and setting off home, He leaped from rooftop to rooftop before noticing Kagami's window was open, he landed on gracefully leaped through the window with her albeit messing up her hair in the process.
Chat turned to leave but stopped as Kagami held onto his tail. "You wanna stay and hang out a little?" the girl asked sheepishly as she brushed the hair out of her eyes. Chat simply nodded and the pair sat down on Kagami's bed looking for something to watch. Tomoe would probably have something to say about Kagami being alone with a boy in her room, but that hardly mattered right now.
And we're done for real this time, A good writer would probably have something smart to say about how it starts and ends with Chat Noir and Kagami alone in her room but that ain't me, still I hope you enjoyed this and thanks for all the reviews and of course thank you for being patient sorry again for vanishing for a few months.
