Much to the relief of Viola, Heather did remember to put on a shirt when she joined the older girl in the living room with the letter, along with the unconscious owl, in hand. Lying the owl on the table where Viola had put a bowl of water and giving it a few pokes, which caused it to wake up and slowly stumble to the bowl of water. Giving the younger girl a questioning look, Viola didn't bother to stop herself from massaging her temples in exasperation.
"What? You did say 'grab at least a shirt'." Stated Heather with a grin on her face and a rather nonchalant shrug.
"That I did." Replied Viola, still massaging her temples. "How in the name of Inferno the kid I rescued from a bunch of bullies wound up becoming a borderline exhibitionist by the time she's eleven will probably be something I'll never understand."
"I signed a Contract with Lilith, the Rebel Against Inhibitions. And one way her influence through the Contract affects me is that it makes me not give a flying rat's ass about many social norms."
"That oughta be it. Now let's see what this letter is about. And don't even think about either throwing or tossing the letter opener!"
"Jeez. Calm down will ya? Some of my screws might be looser than others, but even then I know that's a bad idea." Replied Heather in a somewhat defensive tone as she handed over the letter opener in question, which was shaped like a miniature sword (more specifically the sword known as Angel Slayer), a birthday gift from Rodin to Viola. The fact that the 'letter opener' had something of an Infernal aura made it questionable however whether it was just a letter opener that looked like the sword or the actual weapon that had been shrunken down to the size of a letter opener, and knowing Rodin, it was ambiguous. Especially when he had also gifted Heather a 'letter opener' of her own which resembled the weapon known as Shuraba with a 'keychain' resembling the pair of demonic swords known as Rakshasa attached to the hilt of the 'letter opener'.
"Fair enough I suppose." Using the 'letter opener' resembling Angel Slayer, Viola couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the contents of the letter. "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, huh? If memory serves, Rodin mentioned that one amongst some other ones at some point last year. The primary school of magic for the countries of Britain, Ireland and Scotland with registration of the students occurring automatically the moment they're born."
"That explains why I got the letter. While I might not have any particular attachment to the country, it's where I was born. If the rumors Rodin told us are anything to go on, my inheritance is probably better in my hands than in someone else's."
"True enough, but I for one think there's something more for you to gain at that place."
"And what would that be?"
"Interaction with people who are your age⦠besides Ed and Edna."
"Fair enough. Perhaps I'll get to meet people who knew my parents. So what's the plan?"
"For now we let the owl rest and recover, then we'll be off to Britain through The Gates of Hell and do the necessary shopping. In the meantime, let's stock up on Orbs and Halos to exchange into whatever currency we need in the Wizarding World."
