A/N: Well it's been a bit, but here we are again. As always I do not own Harry Potter or the world or characters created by J.K. Rowling and Warner Bros.

Hermione sat quietly cuddled up against Harry as they nestled together on the sofa before the fireplace. The Common Room was surprisingly quiet after the frivolities of the night before and then the Hogsmeade visit today. She had enjoyed their time in the village though she still did not know how to feel about his decision to add her to his accounts.

Ron had tried to get Harry to play wizard chess after they returned, but instead he had dragged her away to their apartment for some quiet time. They had cuddled together for a couple of hours in their bedroom before deciding to rejoin society for dinner.

"Thank you for today." He said softly as he gently kissed her cheek.

She smiled softly. "What do you mean?"

He smiled, "Nothing, just thank you for being with me today." He said as he continued to look directly into her eyes, making her feel as if he were seeing her very soul.

"Thank you for allowing me to be with you." She said softly as she gently caressed his cheek. "I will always be there for you."

He smiled and gently took her hand, softly kissing it before he sighed deeply. "And I will always be there for you."

She smiled before checking the clock on the mantle with a start as she realized that it was already nearly midnight. "We better get to sleep now if you intend to be up on time to meet with your Solicitor in the morning."

He frowned as he looked down at his watch. "I didn't realize it was so late." He said with a grimace.

She smiled and gently extricated herself from his arms though she hated to do so. She knew he wanted her with him tomorrow and if he wanted her to be of any help then she at least needed to get some sleep.

"Come on lets get to bed." She said as she stood and stretched from the sofa.

"I guess so." He said as he joined her.

She smiled as she watched him adjust himself after having sat for so long. She was unsurprised when he deftly pointed out that the Common Room was either too deserted or those who were still around were too engrossed in their own endeavors to notice them slip up the stairs to his dorm together.

She agreed, not wanting to be away from him though she insisted that he go and get the invisibility cloak so that she could go up to get her things from her own dorm and then use the cloak to sneak up to him. He agreed and returned after only a few minutes to present her with her request.

"For you." he said gently as he held it out to her. "Join me in ten minutes."

She rolled her eyes at his antics and went on up the steps to her dorm. Most of the other girls were already asleep when she stepped into the dark room, Lavender was snoring softly as she quietly passed her bed. She was just getting her night clothes from her trunk when she realized that Parvati was watching her.

"You're up late." Parvati said as she watched her pull her toiletry bag from her trunk.

"Lost track of the time." She said as she turned to face her friend.

"I see you and Harry are happy." She said as she pulled her knees up to her chest, still watching her.

Hermione smiled softly at the comment. "We are." She said with a contented sigh as she pulled everything together and proceeded to head toward the bathroom. "I hope that you and Ron are too."

Parvati grinned broadly as she nodded. "Yes, I had not thought him capable of a real conversation, but he surprises me."

Hermione smirked and nodded. "He can be a bit daft, but he has a good heart." she said, realizing that in many ways she was right even if Ron could be a bit difficult at times.

Parvati agreed with her and then she continued on out and across the hall into her destination. She stepped into one of the stalls and quickly changed from her robes into a tank top and shorts, normally she wore this when sleeping in her room and she didn't feel like dealing with her night gown tonight. As she changed she again ran through her mind again the happenings at the bank.

She had been just as surprised as Harry was at learning that he had more accounts than he had known about. The strangest thing about the vaults that he had access too was that they were not only family vaults but they belonged to ancient and mostly Pureblooded wizarding families. She had heard of all of the Families that had been mentioned, though some she had only read or heard in vague passing.

She had known since First year that Harry belonged to an ancient family, the Potter family had been around for nearly five centuries though their foundations were older than that. She had read several books on the culture that she was going into, trying to prepare herself for what Hogwarts and the magical world would be like. It had been a bit of a let down when most of the things she had learned did not really have much consequence on how Hogwarts was ran.

She finished changing and moved from the stall to the sink where she quickly brushed her teeth and wrangled her hair up into a ponytail. She hated sleeping with her hair down, it was always worse in the morning if she did. Giving herself a once over she quietly crept back across the hall to return her clothes to her trunk.

She pulled the invisibility cloak over herself and quietly crept from the room. As she crossed the Common Room and started up the stairs to the Boys dorms she was surprised to find that the room was now empty. She crept past the first two doors before stopping outside the Third Year boys dorm.

She gently placed her ear to the door to listen for any sound of movement from within. She was surprised to find that the room, like her own, was silent. She quietly opened the door and slipped in, closing it behind her before she navigated her way to his bed.

She was surprised to find that he was not there when she arrived. She sat down and pulled the covers around her, waiting for him to return. Just as she was pulling the curtains closed the door opened and she could see his glasses shining in the hall light.

It was only a few moments later before he joined her, pulling her against him as he wrapped his arms around her. "Hi." he said softly.

She giggled gently, trying to keep her voice down. "Hi." She said, snuggling into his arms.

"Sorry, I had to change." He said as he removed his glasses and set them on the bedside table.

She hummed contentedly as she felt sleep pulling at her subconscious. He nuzzled against her neck and gently placed a kiss on her shoulder before rolling onto his back and allowing her to roll over and lay on his chest.

"I love you Mione." he said softly, sleep filling his voice as he yawned before settling.

She responded in kind before sleep overtook her and she fell into blissful slumber. Her last thoughts as consciousness left her was that she was quite possibly the luckiest and happiest girl in Hogwarts and all because of him and his love.

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Harry awoke to find Hermione still snuggled against his chest asleep. He had been surprised at how quickly they went to sleep, but he was glad she had joined him. He always slept best when she was with him, it was soothing having her near.

She had always had a calming effect on him when he needed it, she was one of the few people that he truly trusted. She stirred as he watched her, his thoughts brought back to the present as he suddenly realized that there were sounds outside of the curtains as the others were all getting ready for the day.

She woke just as he reached out to grab his glasses, ensuring that he didn't reveal her as he did so. She sat up just as he was placing them on his face and he smiled softly as she suddenly realized they were not alone.

He looked down at his watch and frowned. "It's only seven." He whispered as he smiled.

"That's not the problem." She hissed as she looked down at her tank top and shorts. "I'm barely dressed and in your bed."

He shrugged. "I don't think anyone will say anything."

She frowned, he could see the worry in her eyes and grinned. "Where did you put the cloak?"

"It's on the floor outside the curtains." She said, pointing toward the curtains on her side of the bed.

He gently climbed across the bed and reached out to snatch the cloak off the floor, pulling it back into the bed with them. "Here, take this and go get dressed." He said as he held it out to her.

She quickly slipped the cloak over herself and he opened the curtains to allow the light in. Several of the other boys were standing in various states of dress, luckily everyone at least had managed to put on their trousers. He felt the bed move and knew that she had stood and was probably crossing the room.

He quickly began to pull out a set of clothes for the day. He noticed the door open quietly and smiled to himself as he began to prepare for the day ahead.

Several minutes later he sat in the Common Room waiting for her to join him. Ron had already made his way down toward the Great Hall, not wanting to be late for breakfast. He watched as several groups of Gryffindors left on their morning routines.

Just as he was left as the only one in the room she joined him and together they set off for breakfast. As they walked they talked about the meeting with his Solicitor at ten, a meeting both were quite anxious about.

"I am sure there are quite a few things that you are probably going to learn today." She said as she stopped at the First Floor landing. "Perhaps you should ask Professor McGonagall to be there?"

Harry paused, he had not thought about asking an adult to join them for the meeting. "Perhaps that would be a good idea." he said, wondering how he could ask his Head of House to join them.

"She is probably in her office if you want to go now." She said as she indicated the corridor leading off toward the Transfiguration classroom and McGonagall's office.

"Alright." he said as he turned and began to head toward their new destination.

They stopped outside of McGonagall's office a few moments later and Harry gently knocked on the door. They entered as they heard her voice beckon for them to do so.

"Mr. Potter, Miss Granger." The Professor said as they entered and she stood from her desk. "How may I help you both this morning?"

Hermione explained the reasoning for their visit as they settled into the seats before her desk. The older woman listened to their reasons and nodded as Hermione finished.

"I see, I would be glad to join you." McGonagall said as she offered them tea. "You said that the meeting is at ten?"

Harry nodded. "Yes Ma'am." He said as he took the offered cup and proceeded to add sugar. "I don't know who my Solicitor is though."

McGonagall frowned as she looked down at the papers on her desk. "If my memory serves me correctly, the Goblin who serves as the Solicitor for the Potter estates is Ragnarok, the Head of Gringotts."

Harry stared at her comment, why would the Head of Gringotts be the one in charge of his family's accounts. "What?"

The Professor sighed as she set her tea down and pointed her wand at a filing cabinet across the room. One of the drawers opened and two files flew from the drawer and landed neatly on her desk.

"These." She said as she held up the files for him to see. "Are yours and your Father's school files." She continued, opening the older of the two files that was also far thicker.

"You still have their school records?" He asked as he stared at the file with wonder.

"The school records of every Hogwarts student are kept in the school for at least three decades after they graduate." Hermione said as she answered the question. "It is required by Wizarding Law that the records be on hand should a former student need them until they are fifty-seven."

McGonagall nodded. "Yes, quite right Miss Granger." She said as she pulled out a couple of the pages from the file. "Yes, these are the financial statements during James' last year at Hogwarts."

Harry was surprised that the school had that information on hand, then again he had never thought about tuition for Hogwarts. "Does it say who the Solicitor is?"

She nodded as she pulled the same paper from his own file. "Yes, I am just cross referencing this with your own to ensure nothing has changed since we last had this information on file."

She continued to read through the two files and nodded as she looked back up a few moment later. "Yes, Ragnarok is the Solicitor for your accounts." She said as she made a few notes from the information in the file.

Harry was still lost at the fact that the Head of Gringotts was his Solicitor. "Why the Head of Gringotts?" He asked with a frown.

McGonagall sighed and gently rubbed her temples. "Mr. Potter." She began as she placed the pages back in their appropriate files and then sent them back to the cabinet. "I guess this falls to me."

Harry and Hermione both gave her questioning glances at her statement. "What does Professor?" He asked with growing confusion.

The older woman sighed again and pointed to the bookshelf at which two large books flew across the room to land on her desk. Harry caught the titles as they flew past, Noble Families of Magical Britain and Known Pureblooded Noble Families of Muggle and Magical Britain.

She caught up the largest of the two books, skimming through the index before flipping through the pages to find what she sought. She settled at last and began to read aloud.

"Of all the known Noble Families of the Magical World, the Potter family will always be held in the highest regard. Founded during the Dark Ages, the family has been best known for their kindness and generosity." She read as she skimmed through pages pertaining to information about his family. "The Noble and Ancient House of Potter has long held connections in both the Muggle and Magical worlds and have strove to improve the conditions of both with each Lord Potter who commands the house leaving a lasting legacy."

Harry heard the words but could not believe what he was hearing, he came from Nobility? This was the last thing that he had expected to hear.

"Aside from the many great things that your family has achieved over the centuries." McGonagall continued as she closed the book. "Your family also helped to invent quite a few potions including Ske-le-grow and Sleekeazy's Hair Potion and Scalp Treatment good for hard to tame hair."

Harry just stared at her as he listened, feeling more and more like he did not know anything about his family. So many things that he should have known about were only now being revealed to him.

"Why was I never told any of this?" He asked as he frowned at the racing thoughts going through his head.

"I am afraid that I cannot answer that question Mr. Potter." She said as she handed the books across to him. "Professor Dumbledore should have told you when you were eleven, yet why he did not I could not say."

Harry felt a sudden rise of anger at the fact that Dumbledore was the one who should have told him all this. "Is all of the staff aware of this information?" He asked as he forced the anger away.

"No, only myself and Professor Dumbledore know the information." She said with a frown. "I am only aware of it due to the fact that I am your Head of House."

Harry nodded, this still did not explain why he was not told. "Why did you not tell me when it was clear that Professor Dumbledore did not?"

The Professor smiled softly as she nodded. "A good question, however even though I am your Head of House, it falls to your Magical Guardian to give you this information."

Harry felt the anger flare again. "Yet he did not, so how are you able to tell me now?"

She frowned and summoned another book from the shelf. "Magical Law states that if the Heir to a Noble House is not notified by the time they are fourteen, then the duty falls to the next Guardian in line." She said as she handed the book across to Hermione. "Section Eighty-Seven on the Statutes of Lordship, Paragraph Twelve. Should the Magical Guardian fail to notify, then whoever has power of Guardianship after their fourteenth birthday may reveal this information."

Harry stared at the book as Hermione turned to the relevant sections and began to read through the information. He waited until she nodded in confirmation a few moments later.

"So, the Ministry just allows such negligence to go unnoticed?" He asked as he stared from the book back to McGonagall.

"No, if there is not a valid reason for the Guardian not to inform you by the time you are Fourteen then the Guardian can be punished by law if the Heir so chooses." McGonagall stated with a frown. "Most don't pursue as there is usually a valid reason or at least one that otherwise causes the charges unnecessary."

Harry nodded, though this still did not answer why Dumbledore did not tell him. "It appears that Professor Dumbledore will have some explaining to do."

Minerva nodded tersely. "I agree, though I am unable to act upon anything until after the meeting today as I am not your Legal Guardian I am only your Guardian while you are under my care while here at Hogwarts."

Harry nodded, he wondered if there would be a way to determine if the current Solicitor was able to be changed if necessary. He would not act upon anything until he had addressed the subject with Dumbledore, something that he intended to do very soon.

"Thank you Professor, for telling me everything." He said with a sigh as he turned to Hermione. "Today is going to be full of surprises."
