* Ok, before we start, I know a lot of people want me to keep Adam 'pure', meaning no devil fruit, but that fruit power is honestly the whole reason why I started writing this Fanfic.

I kept reading Danny Phantom involved fics and couldn't get the idea out of my head regarding a character with those powers in One Piece because I just thought about how useful and versatile they were.

Me having my future Ghost King enjoying his time on the seas with his crew and living ship.

That's basically the whole point of this fanfic.

Him being a hybrid is a set up for a loophole I thought of regarding devil fruit weaknesses and to boost his basic stats way up there so he can match the innate OPness of characters like Big Mom and Kaidou who were born strong naturally on top of insane training to surpass them.

So if you guys can't accept that Adam will have his devil fruit and everything until now has been preparations for the future, with him not having eaten it until now because he was in an underwater kingdom and doing so would have been stupid, then I am sorry to say that this might not be the Fic for you.

If you do desire a pure fish-man fanfic, there is One Piece: Reborn as a Fishman by HolyJoker on Webnovel, although I'm not sure if it's anywhere else.

For now, I hope others can continue enjoying my work as I try to piece it together.*

Haunt 10: Ghost meets Strongest Grandpa

After being accepted by Jozu, at least until they received confirmation from his Captain regarding the apprenticeship, the trio of little monsters did start to get to know the man's crew.

Adam and Tami got to work fixing those beaten up as best they could at the moment, gaining further approval since fighting is a fantastic way to bond in this world, getting fixed up afterwards is just a cherry on top. Harribel instead went to discuss matters with weapon users like Nail, wanting tips regarding certain situations and to hear about their experiences, and while she was very stoic, she was also earnest and did share some goods with them as 'payment' even if they all liked bragging about their achievements and victories anyway. Morgiana was just having some fun singing some tunes around the place while Shyarly took the opportunity to set up her business.

Things began to turn somewhat hectic as more people started to join in, then others brought equipment to cook in the plaza as the returning officers gathered and more fights ensued, slowly turning the gathering into a full blow celebration by the time the Café girls began coming by after hearing about the trio's imminent departure.

Once it started getting dark, things were kicked up another notch as alcohol began being served and songs rang out, causing many to merrily enjoy themselves in this impromptu celebration, even some guards became involved in the fun as competitions of strength and accuracy came up.

Tami dominated the latter, much to the dismay of the pirates who actually used pistols and observation Haki's dismay.

To lose to mermaid doctor and single mom who hasn't even sailed the seas, it was disastrous to their male egos as she cheerfully laughed with more drinks, letting loose for the first time in a long while with her more rambunctious nature.

Adam on the other hand, found himself in a stiff arm wrestling competition with Jozu as the two gritted their teeth in struggle, although the older man did have an advantage and a visibly easier time, even going so far as using armament in the excitement until he did lose with a momentous slam through the table.

Far from being upset, Adam cheered with laughter, causing the observers to boisterously celebrate Jozu's victory after he 'stopped the demon child from taking all their money'.

It was honestly a really fun time as Morgiana danced and sang to her heart's content and Harribel experienced her first teal taste of alcohol, finding it intriguing, but not totally to her taste.

Now sake on the other hand, that she found very much to her liking.

The young hybrid did fall asleep cuddling her sword with a few bottles around, causing Jinbe, who had come to check up on things, to let her use his thigh as a pillow, calmly drinking some of the sake while protecting her. Something the small family did send him grateful looks for.

It might seem somewhat irresponsible, but in this world alcohol is still in one of the safest things to drink and easiest to store in large quantities, especially for an undersea kingdom like this one, so most teach kids about it once they at least reach double digits in age even if they usually don't appreciate the taste at that age. The fact that Fish-Men and Merfolk tend to have a harder time getting drunk due to their innately superior bodies does also help keep health risks away as well. Harribel just went overboard today, following the example of all the heavy drinkers she was talking to and comparing weapons with.

Surprisingly, Morgiana was the most responsible when it came to the stuff since Adam has never been shy about drinking himself. A lifetime as a sailor'll do that to any man. The redhead kuja much preferred the singing and dancing aspects of parties than the eating and drinking, really enjoying something Adam called River, Belly and Veil dancing.

It was a very interesting night when Adam used is body control and memories to show her some dances he remembered from his travels, but a fun one nonetheless. The fact that it made Morgiana light up and passionately replicate and perfect the moves made any minor embarrassment worth it.

The fact the she managed to imbue her movements with aspects of her 'spirit' was actually rather impressive as it sways the emotions of observers depending on what she does, but usually she goes for happy and carefree as she twirls and glides around with the songs, causing spontaneous groups dancing wherever she went as she laughed in joy over people joining her.

Good times even if it did leave a bit of a mess with a bunch of people passed out around the plaza.

Luckily, most residents were kindhearted enough to help clean up their messes and help out others the next morning.

As for the Lion Acupuncture group, they simply placed their belongings inside of Jozu's Ship, a galleon with mainly gray coloring, resembling heavily armored marine ships which had passed by the island in pursuit of some pirates, decorated with the figure of a shark and with a Jolly Roger resembling a skull half made of diamonds with crossed bones similar to the Whitebeard Style. They did this so it wouldn't be rushed later, simply taking a few hammocks in a corner for themselves among the rest of the crew, none actually receiving a hard time simply because they were strong.

After that, they spent some time with their friends and family, saying goodbye to everyone before leaving.

The people of the District were actually being very coddling once they heard the trio was going to go aboard a 'human's' crew, warning them about this and that, even with Morgiana ironically. It was rather interesting to see the equivalent of Fish-Man Island's gang members, big brawny fish-men, fretting over them, but it showed they cared and that they did a lot of good over the years.

It did lead to separate going away party though.

And brawls.

A lot of brawls.

It was their way of feeling like the trio was 'ready' even if they all knew that they were strong.

Honestly, the hardest part was leaving behind the baby sea creatures. Some can be darn adorable.

It was a few emotional days after that as the departure date approached.

Queen Otohime even came down with her three sons to say goodbye. Adam had met them before, and with all the stories apparently being told about him, the little trio seemed to look up to him a lot, only under their father in terms of admiration. As a result, he secretly taught them how to train their young bodies and gave them training manuals because he couldn't see them often with them being royalty and all.

Adam was fairly certain the Queen knew about it, especially with her innate Empathic abilities born from Observation Haki, but it seemed like she would support her children regardless. The King though, well he was thrilled to see his sons 'follow in his tail swishes', which did make his wife huffy at times, obvious from when she rants somewhat to Tami when she visits or has an appointment.

It was amusing for the young hybrid to imagine the king's much smaller wife having him sleep on the sofa when the palace has dozens of bedrooms.

But finally, the bittersweet day came for the departure.

"I know you can all take care of yourselves." Tami emotionally hugged each of 'her kids'. "But please be at least somewhat careful.

The world is a big place and I don't want to ever have to hear about you three leaving it before me."

"We'll look out for each other. That's what a crew does." Adam reassured her with certainty, earning nods of agreement from the two determined girls flanking him.

"Make sure you come back in 6 or I feel like something bad will happen." Shyarly informed her 'brother' as she went to hug him goodbye.

She had tried to see what the 'bad event' could be during her daily glimpsing into the future, mainly regarding her and the family, with some more general and Island focused ones, but it was too turbulent and many things were happening which made the 'bad event' uncertain and fluctuate. From her own experience, the only one she knew who could reliably affect the end results was Adam, so she just requested his help, just like in the past.

"Got it. 6 years and we'll come back." He confirmed knowingly. "Well, I'm still planing to visit when I can, but I'll definitely try to be here by then.

Need to pick up our ship too after all."

Hearing the reminder that they did have a royal commissioned ship waiting for them later did bring excited smiles on the faces of the two girls.

"Hn. I look forward to your visits." The young mermaid acknowledged as she floated back.

"Let's go you crazy brats! Pops' gonna want his sake supply on time and I'm not the one who's taking the blame if he doesn't!" Jozu called out from his ship.

The coated galleon was all set with Banyan wood for the journey to the surface and loaded with the supplies and 'tribute' for the Whitebeard Pirates' protection.

"""Yes Sir!""" They all called back before getting some quick hugs in and jumping aboard just in time for the sails to unfurl as the crew moved about doing their duties.

Quickly looking back, they waved at those who gathered to see them off until they finally left port.

"C'mon you three." Jozu calmly gained their attention. "I want you on the upper deck observing.

This'll be a dangerous trip even if we're experienced, so I don't want any of you to get in the way until you know what to do properly."

Fully understanding, the trio obediently followed the large man up, looking at the rushing members with keen eyes as they observed the rhythm of the ship, taking note of various roles and how to do them as they gently went through 'customs'.

Outside though, much to the surprise of the Whitebeard Division, they were welcomed by the mounted units from the District also coming to wave them goodbye.

"Popular ain'tcha?" The diamond man grinned at the sight.

Adam simply laughed happily as he waved back to Fish-Men who came to see them off as he really felt touched by the display, earning small smiles from most present as they got back to work.

Now began the most nerve racking part: Ascension.

Going up 10'000 ft from the ocean floor, with most of it in total darkness while surrounded by giant sea creatures was never very fun, but they had done this journey before and they would do it again.

As for the youngsters, they took this chance to glimpse at their home in the distance. The brilliant pearls of life resting in the calm spotlight as they set off on this new chapter of their lives.

It was a complicated feeling.

Harribel and Morgiana had technically undergone it once, when much younger and with less than stellar results even if they did end up in a loving home and much stronger than one would imagine, but it was still a hard moment for them.

Adam though, he felt his spirit surging from being on a ship after over a decade on 'land'.

Not since he was 18 in his past life did he ever spend that long off a ship, so now he was almost shaking in excitement as he couldn't imagine the sights awaiting him beyond this layer of darkness. If the others could see him, they would likely find it rather cute.

He might feel some longing regarding his new homeland and those who make it home, but this is what he was born twice to do!

Maybe it's not on his own ship yet, and maybe he can't set the course, but he was sailing anew!

Good thing he could control himself very well and still focus his Color of Observation to feel what the pirates were doing, learning how to control a coated ship underwater, expanding his senses instinctively as he just knew how the currents would flow and where obstacles and creatures were, how all of it would shift and turn.

He felt... so in tune with it all.

Instantly he could tell when the helmsman wasn't on the ideal course or when he would meet resistance, but he knew better than to speak up in such a situation. This was a talent to explore and possibly reveal later, better to experience it now.

The girls decided on the other were using their own talents to feel what was going on around them as the ship ascended, they could easily cover a ship with their senses and had trained in much more hectic situations than this.

Essentially meditating upon the nature of aquatic currents and movements, time passed quickly for them all as they smoothly entered the last phase of the ascension, light filtering through from the surface allowing everyone to see more and more.

Orders began being yelled out to prepare for breaching as it was somewhat rough until the ship stabilized itself and the current weather could make things much worse. Adam could tell from his senses that it would be a choppy breach as he could feel large drops of water falling into the sea.

And when he means large well...

Breach*

He meant larger than the ship as Jozu burst into action alongside a few officers to smack the large raindrops out of the sky before they could strike the ship itself. No wanting to be useless, Adam used some Fish-Man Karate strikes to destabilize the giant raindrops and disperse them from the distance, Harribel joining in with soaring slash training while Morgiana was told to stay put and not fly out in weather she isn't used to or without any means of coming back to the ship with the great waves created by the impact of ship-sized rain.

Once again, to the bafflement of many, Adam couldn't contain himself as he smiled wildly at the sight of this otherworldly weather. The insanity of such a thing happening and how he would be able to face it from now on.

It was exactly what he came here for and he was being thrown into the deep end too!

He couldn't help but think about what a great day today was.

After the rain came sudden tornadoes, then scorching heat which was actually difficult for the young hybrids and newly recruited Fish-Men, then a hail storm before things became relatively calm even if big clouds hung over head.

The new recruits and youngsters really could be nothing but shocked and baffled by the ridiculousness of the New World once they got a few moments to breath, gaining quite a lot of respect for the veterans sailing it as well as they did. It is, after all, one thing to hear about the unbelievable occurrences on this side of the Grand Line and another to experience them.

As for Adam... he was almost giggling in excitement after facing such challenges from Mother Nature, having loved every moment of it under the disbelieving gazed of some of the Whitebeards and even Jozu could only ruefully shake his head over how weird 'conquerors' tended to be. The diamond man being grateful that, beyond seemingly loving to fight and the sea, Adam was a well behaved and compassionate youngster though.

Luckily for everyone, the seas decided to 'rest' for the night as most went to their quarters while the rest stayed to man their posts in case of attack from some very stupid pirates or sea beast, or to face sudden shifts in the weather.

The youngster trio was also sent to rest, but Adam had something to do first as he put his arm into his bag to hide the fact that he was pulling out his devil from himself.

He had waited a long time to no longer be completely surrounded by water in order to consume it and he wasn't going to wait any longer. It was one of the dreams of all fans of One Piece to gain a devil fruit power after all.

A man's romance.

Taking it out, his fruit turned out to be reminiscent of a pomegranate, only a near glowing toxic green with flame-like patterns.

"Adam, what's that?" Morgiana asked with great curiosity.

"This is what a devil fruit looks like and this is one I've been saving until we could leave the Island." He answered the girl in a hushed tone.

"Why would you eat such a thing?" Harribel questioned intently, knowing full well the disadvantages they brought and how it would impact those trained like they were.

"Because this is a very special devil fruit and I believe it'll be very worth the downsides." Adam told her with a determined gaze.

"What's it called?" Their redhead whispered loudly.

"Human-Human Fruit, Model: Ghost." He revealed with great respect, earning looks of interest from them both.

A real ghost? That was very new to them after all.

But Adam knew such things weren't as far fetched as they seemed.

Brooks was a perfect example of how strong a spirit could be while Big Mom could directly manipulate souls. And since Ghosts were in fact technically Human at one point, just like Buddha who Sengoku gets to embody, it qualifies to be part of this category instead of a kind of special Paramecia or Logia type fruit.

Shrugging their shoulders as they knew very well how stubborn their future Captain could be at times, the girls simply decided to let him do as he pleased and look at him expectantly regarding his consumption of the fruit. It wasn't everyday one witnessed such a matter after all.

Gathering his courage, Adam bit into the fruit and did his best to swallow it as fast as possible, knowing full well that all fruit users can agree on one thing: eating their fruit was the single most disgusting culinary experience of their lives by far.

And boy they weren't exaggerating.

To Adam, it was like he could remember those moments where he actually had to follow some of the more eccentric Bear Grylls advice while marooned, mixed with throw up and dumpster juice from a bar fight he had lost way back when, and then blended together with cigarette ash.

An experience in pure disgust even as he swallowed the piece he bit off. Once he managed to do so, he had to focus his will to not throw it back up, managing it while shivering at least.

But once done, the rest of the fruit turned into a normal pomegranate and the girls looked at him in confusion as nothing had happened.

Adam though, he could feel the difference.

Like another source of power was just plugged into his body and spirit.

Siting down to look into himself for a few moments, feeling his physical body and spirit and comparing it to what it had been before, Adam could clearly recognize which aspects were new. Grabbing hold of them, he guided them slowly, getting a feel for this new power as he morphed on the outside.

His hair slowly turned from dark navy to silvery-teal coloring with flaming tips of the same color, eyes turning toxic green from icy blue and skin paling to near white. As for his outfit, his short wave pattern yukata and navy shorts became a monochromatic black with white detailing, not really changing beyond that.

Outside of aesthetics however, Adam could feel a lot more.

For one, he was floating, which made it really hard not to just start flying around because of it, second was the fact that he felt a lot stronger, like physical limitations had been lifted but also as his such a state was relient on his spirit exactly because his physical body was no longer acting as a restriction, third was a sudden sense of cold even with his slightly flaming hair, and lastly was just how much clearer the spirits of others were around him.

"That's so cool!" Morgiana whispered yelled with starry eyes.

"Fascinating." Their stoic friend commented as she reached out to touch Adam, but actually going through him, only managing to touch him after using some Haki.

Morgiana decided to just have a bit of fun by waving her hands and then stuffing her entire head in Adam, giggling slightly while doing so, until the boy in question looked at said head popping out of his chest questioningly, causing her to pull out and allowing him to turn back into normal.

"Having fun?" He amusedly asked.

"Yup! So what can you do now?" She excitedly whisper shouted as she scootched forward with interested eyes.

"Well, you saw how you could pass through me without haki and I could float, but I'm pretty sure I can full out fly and turn invisible on top of it." Adam expanded as he focused on his hand intently, causing it alone basically disappear as he smirked before undoing it. "I feel a good deal stronger when in my ghost form, like I have a fewer things restraining me, but that's pretty normal for Zoan type devil fruits.

And I can feel this new kind of energy within myself that I'll need to really explore, but I'm pretty sure it'll involve being able to do things ghosts are supposed to be able to do or are related to."

At the moment though, Adam was feeling rather vindicated for having spent a lot of efforts focusing on self-mastery. He didn't have to face the struggles Danny Fenton had when he first 'gained' his ghostly powers such as unintended phasing or fight because he knew exactly what had changed and could control it until he properly integrated everything fully.

"Hm. Possession?" Harribel pondered with a thoughtful head tilt.

"Maybe, but I don't think I'll do that much unless needed. I'm think about other things for now." Adam shrugged as he knew some of what he had the potential to achieve, just needing time to figure it all out. "Anyway, let's get some sleep.

I doubt we'll be able to laze around while on the ship and I want to be well rested for tomorrow."

Although they wanted to talk more about his new powers, they were both reasonable girls and they would have plenty of time to do so in the future, so they listened to their future Captain as they hopped onto their hammocks for the night.

Well, at least they did initially.

Morgiana ended up feeling a bit lonely and decided to sneak into Harribel's hammock during the night for snuggling. The two being very close ever since they had been captured years ago, being used to supporting each other even if they knew they had more people to help them now. It was a subconscious thing.

This didn't last too long as the morning came all too soon thanks to fire literally raining down ahead of the ship a few hours before dawn, apparently from a nearby volcanic eruption mixed with New World weirdness. As a result, all hands were on deck while the trio did their best to stave off the fire raining down from above while not getting in anyone's way, to pretty good success.

They were all used to working with and around other people thanks to their experience in the District and even with the Ryugu Army and Guards, so integrating themselves into this crew's rhythm wasn't too difficult, especially after having fought most of them and understanding their general strength levels and personalities.

Getting through that craziness, Jozu then began assigning the trio to various crew members to show them the ropes, quite literally in this case as knots, rigging and sails were involved. Of course, they weren't completely new to things since Adam could think ahead and had spent quite a good amount of time questioning those he could regarding sailing in this world, even if a majority was from Paradise Sailors, but he did question Den, Tom's brother, a lot when they discussed matters regarding Eve's new body, teaching the two girls on in-progress or docked ships.

It doubled as sneaking practice sometimes.

But getting into a routine was nice.

Light workouts and spares in the morning, group breakfast from the ship's cooks, then working on our assigned tasks during the day and taking breaks when things were calm, talking to the crew regarding experiences and the situation of the World.

Turns out at Whitebeard, Kaidou and Big Mom were really butting heads right now, expanding and competing against one another as the former stopped the latter two from being too aggressive in their efforts and the competition between said two halting any coordinated efforts. At the moment, the Whitebeard Pirates were focused on the beginning areas of the New World, centered around our destination of Sphinx Island, Whitebeard's home island, hence why he could easily claim Fish-Man Island, with Big Mom in the later Western area and Kaidou centering his forces around Wano in the East, which really meant that things over there have already turned for the worst.

It wasn't as bad as just after Roger's execution, when Big Mom and Kaidou were being incredibly aggressive in their efforts to obtain the One Piece, after they had gathered sufficient forces in the aftermath of the Rocks Pirates dissolving, but things were incredibly tense as the three titans of the sea eyed each other and conflicts between crews and for Islands erupted frequently. Fights happened all the time, especially with the size of their crews and how many individual captains were involved.

The only reason conflicts were actually settling down was because Kaidou and Big Mom were consolidating their power within the territory they had claimed while trying to strengthen their forces from being beaten so often by Whitebeard himself. Meaning Totto Land was in the process of being formed and Wano was being fully subjugated before Kaidou could move forward with his plans to bolster his crew for a giant war.

For now, it was essentially a Cold War situation until Shanks returned to the New World with his crew, forming the status quo of the Four Emperors.

On the other side of the Red Line however, well that was another story.

After the execution of Roger, and the capture of Shiki who's subsequent escape was suppressed, the Marines had a lot of momentum behind them, allowing them to really strengthen their hold on the first half of the Grande Line and the Four Blues. Although in the process of electing a new Admirals, currently only having Admirals Zephyr and Kizaru, their former being a veteran who has been rumored to be stepping away from the front line and the latter being rather new, the facts that Fleet Admiral Sengoku was going strong, with the support of the Marine Hero Garp and Vice Admiral Tsuru, on top of Commander-in-Chief Kong, the lineup was formidable even before the future elemental Admirals rose up fully.

Beyond the top powers though, they had a wave of recruitment from across the seas as Marine Prestige was still incredibly high.

It really made for an educational trip over the next two and a half weeks as they traveled to Sphinx Island.

And in between the assigned work, Adam did have the opportunity to play around with his new abilities to a basic degree, getting used to being able to phase, fly and turn invisible, even going so far as to being along Morgiana and Harribel, which they did enjoy.

But finally, they reached the Spring Island which had long been abandoned by the World Government for not supplying them with 'tribute', only now being peaceful and calm as it is due to Whitebeard investing pretty much all of his treasure into it while the crew protects it fiercely. Both Marines and his former crew mates knew very well to not involve themselves with Sphinx Island or to suffer the full wrath of the World's Strongest Man.

It was rather interesting for the young trio to witness the island though, especially with how the mountain resembled a breaching whale with an open mouth surrounded by a forest.

Approaching it, they noticed a few ships patrolling the area as well as clear indications regarding who's territory this was, docking at well hidden inlet which seemed geared specifically towards Whitebeard operations as numerous large ships gathered around the one and only Moby Dick.

Whitebeard's personal battleship with its iconic Sperm Whale Figure Head floating proudly amongst its own 'children'.

"C'mon kids. Everyone's gathered since it's the time o' year tributes come in." Jozu told them as they looked out to the vast number of pirates and ships. "Pops likes to have a big party for it to 'gather all his unruly kids' he says."

"That sounds fun!" Morgiana cheerfully responded as she bounced slightly from excitement.

"Heh! That it is." Jozu grinned as he too felt excited to drink and feast with his comrades. "So let's get to it cause we bring the booze."

Following the large man as they curiously looked around, Harribel became rather excited as she witnessed members of the Fifth Fleet all bearing swords and the number of strong people around them. Adam though was doing his best to place faces to the bounties he had gathered on important New World Pirates like the Whitebeard Commanders, but only once they left the docking area and headed towards a large house did he start spotting the big fish.

He found Thatch, the 4th division commander sporting his well coifed pompadour, white shirt and yellow foulard as he yelled out orders like the chef he apparently was. Flower Sword Vista, the best swordsman on the crew with his well muscled and hairy chest on display, twirling his mustache as he discussed something with the 7th division commander and fellow mustache enthusiast, Rakuyo.

But once they reached the end of their journey, they saw him.

Edward 'Whitebeard' Newgate.

With his giant body one would make them think had some actual giant in it, packed with muscles even at his age, scars decorating his chest, and only mildly covered by a white captain's coat, sporting greying blond locks under a black bandana and his iconic white 'beard'. He had one of the few truly proportional bodies for a man his size, a longer face but still fierce, and an aura of pure strength around him even as wrinkles began to form near his eyes and on his face.

Even siting down and drinking merrily, the man simply seemed unassailable...

And it excited Adam to no end to be near someone this strong.

Although he still noticed a much smaller man wearing an open purple jacket showcasing his lean muscles and Whitebeard symbol tattoo, a tuft of blond hair decorating his head and scruffy stubble on his chin, sporting a wry smile on his face as he looked around like a grown man watching kids being rowdy.

One of the few mythical Zoan wielders: Marco the Phoenix, 1st Division Commander as well as the main ship's doctor and navigator.

"Guarararara! Jozu! You're back! And that means the good stuff is hear kids!!" Whitebeard heartily cheered before taking a swig of his big jug, earning cries of approval all around.

"Who did you bring along Jozu?" The calmer blonde asked as the crew had long since noticed the youngsters behind the large man, but had waited patiently to hear this knew gossip. "One looks very familiar indeed."

"Crarara! I've found myself another Kozuki!" Jozu grinned massively as he pat Adam on the shoulder hard enough to make him step forward. "Except less stupid and reckless!"

"Haha! That's because I'm only half of one you over compressed lump of coal!" Adam responded as he playfully shook his fist at the bigger man.

For those in the know, the name of Kozuki immediately made them closely observe the tall boy standing without fear before them all and they could immediately place many features of his to their past comrade, especially with the medallion around his neck, including Whitebeard who stopped drinking for a few moments before downing his drink and slamming it down.

"So... my wayward son had more children than he let me know." The large man slowly said before roaring. "Looks like he needs to remember about his Father! That rebellious punk!"

Powerful pirates laughing in schadenfreude over the imagined beating Oden would receive from this revelation aside, Adam was almost awed by the Conquerors Haki he could feel just subconsciously leaking, causing him to match it instinctively, making them all become much more interested.

"Hehe! He didn't know until years later cause he was with you guys before Roger took him and he only found out when they passed Fish-Man Island back then." Adam revealed with a confident grin as he stared the World's Strongest in the eyes. "So... nice to meet you Gramps."

That comically caused many present to gape at the balls on display by the larger than average kid.

"Gramps?" Marco questioned, being rather amused.

"Well, he calls my dad his son, so that makes him my grandpa no?" Was the shrugging reply, earning a nod of acknowledgement towards the logic.

Whitebeard on the other hand was pensive as he considered the matter.

"Hmmmm... looks like I'll need to beat a few more of my sons." He murmured before his eyes turned sharp. "My first visit from one of my grandchildren and he had to come to me on his own."

Almost dumbfounded by the near immediate acceptance and subsequent heightened level of familial awareness their Captain seemed to now be on, the surrounding pirates gulped as they prayed for their retired comrades.

"So, why has my grandson brought two kids to visit me?" The mustachio'd man question with his thunderous voice.

"I want to learn how to sail the world from you!" Adam brightly answered as his will surged forward. "And fight you to get stronger so I can protect my crew when I sail."

Easily understanding that both girls were part of the crew he was talking about, Marco was intrigued by all three since they did feel quite strong and he felt like they had a lot of potential, especially this new 'grandson', while Whitebeard grinned at how rambunctious Adam seemed to already be from noticing the desire to fight in his eyes and body.

"Heh! So you want to apprentice under me?" The older man grinned as he leaned forward, getting a better look at all three of the kids before leaning back into his chair. "Fine, I'll take you, but forget about sailing on your own until I approve of you as sailors!

So kids... break out all the good stuff cause we've got some new ones joining the crew!"

""""YEAH!!!!""""

Author Notes:

Mostly skipping over stuff like journeying, One Piece style.

I think most of what I said was fairly accurate as Adam really isn't stupid. Hot blooded and with Wanderlust yes, but not stupid, so asking how ships work in this world and about the crazy weather phenomenon from those he could on top of reading about matters would be logical.

And speaking of crazy weather, yes I made it rain fire because New World.

Some of the info regarding the Whitebeard pirates and current state of the world is OC born from deductions and reasonable guesses regarding how things should be based on I for we have on hands.

In this case, it hasn't been too too long since the Rocks pirate disbanded, give or take 20 years, so I'd say that's reasonable time for the three big names of the era to gather large crews and spread until they start clashing and then enter a period of consolidation until Shanks comes along 4 years before Luffy sets sail to become the 4th Emperor and further cements a hard lock on the situation.

So things are somewhat unstable all around for the various powers that be since Marines are essentially in the middle of a 'changing of the guards' with their Admirals and the future Yonko are settling into their growth.

As for how the Tribute stuff operates, I think it's pretty straight forward.

No matter how good a guy Whitebeard is, he and his crew still need money and supplies to keep on living their lives. As such, expecting some tribute in exchange for their protection is completely reasonable. Throwing a big get together after said tribute is collected so he can have his whole 'family' together sounds like a very Whitebeard thing to do to me as well.

Him accepting the trio so easily is because he can tell what kind of people they are with ease.

Adam might love to fight and grow stronger, dreaming of sailing the seas, but he is also calm and caring. Morgiana is a very passionate girl who likes others, so she gives off happy vibes. And Harribel is a cool sword user type who is protective of those she cares about.

A trio of good kids essentially, so he wouldn't reject them like Oden who was very rebellious in nature since his and Adam's natures and source of their will for their Conquerors Haki are totally different as well.

Plus, Whitebeard gets grandkids and I think he'd like that.
