Author's note: I don't own Harri Potter. I am just having fun with the characters. Here's a longer chapter everyone! I hope you all enjoy! Thank you to everyone that left me reviews and favorited and are following the story, as well to those that are following and favorited me.
Hoodedgenius98: Snape's drinking is something of a running gag that I am enjoying writing about. He just doesn't know how to deal with Harri and her antics. He can't tell anyone about her behavior and Dumbledore is turning the other way so that she isn't taken to healer.
Jaysto: Thank you so much! I am having so much fun writing this, and I do have plans for Harri regarding her low points. Harri has lived as an orphan for 45 years and never having a family of her own has put her into the mindset of still being an orphan that causes her to revert to her darker moments.
silentmayhem: I am glad that you are enjoying this! Unfortunately for Snape, he still has a lot of trouble coming in the future. I have always enjoyed reading stories where Harry acts out of the norm and takes everyone by surprise. Usually, when he looks like James, everyone expects him to be like him and immediately pins him as a troublemaker. But because Harri looks like Lily, everyone automatically pins her as an angel that can do no wrong, so I am taking advantage of that here.
I wanted to say that Harri is 45 years old and she will be attracted to men that are older than her appearance. Snape is 31 years old here and is repulsed with Harri, so if anything Harri would be a cougar. Harri finds him attractive because he is the only man nearer her age and he fits her type description, but she isn't going to pursue him or anyone else in Hogwarts. She will tease people because she finds it amusing to mess with people, but nothing will happen until she's physically of age or in a dream where she is physically older. Thank you very much for reading! Enjoy the longer chapter! (and be careful if you are squeamish in reading about a darker Harri.)
Chapter 19
Harri waited for Fred and George to arrive at the abandoned classroom after astronomy had ended. When they did show up, Harri let out a sigh of relief that they had actually showed up, not that she didn't trust them, but she needed to get Pettigrew as soon as she could so that Sirius can finally be free and take her in.
Harri nodded at them and silently stepped into her trunk and closed it. Harri waited for ten minutes before she heard knocking on the outside and she stepped outside. Harri had warned the twins that the trunk wouldn't open for them without her blood or Parseltongue, so they didn't bother to try to open up the trunk themselves.
When Harri stepped outside, she was on a bed with the curtains covering her. Harri nodded her thanks and whispered,
"Later boys!" and she took her trunk and carefully walked down a hallway over to the boys' first year dorm room. Harri made sure that there was no movement before she entered the room and went over to what she assumed was Ron's bed judging by the loud snoring. Harri looked around for Pettigrew until she finally found him sleeping in his cage. Harri stunned Pettigrew twice and binded the chunky rat before stuffing him in her trunk and letting him fall a couple of feet into her trunk. Satisfied when she heard a loud splattering sound, Harri took her trunk and tiptoed over to the girl's dorm and went up the stairs to peak into the girl's dorm. Parvati and Lavender were fast asleep, but Hermione still had her lights on.
Harri smiled and put up a muffliato before she put her trunk down next to Hermione's and opened the curtain to lay next to Hermione who was laying down reading a book on potions. Ignoring Hermione's yell that would have otherwise woken up her dorm mates, Harri grinned at Hermione and excitedly said,
"Sleepover!" Hermione gave her an unbelieving look before she furiously whispered,
"Harri! It's a weeknight!" Harri shrugged not caring in the least and whined,
"But I missed you Hermione!" Hermione softened at that and stared at her only self-proclaimed friend.
"How did you even get in here?" Hermione asked, curiosity getting the best of her.
"The twins" Harri grinned at her. Hermione sighed, already suspecting that she was sneaked in by unconventional methods.
"Soooo…" Harri said casually sitting up and crossing her legs.
"What!?" Hermione snapped at her, angry that she was breaking the rules with Harri.
"Want to have a pillow fight in our knickers and discuss wizarding politics?" Harri deadpanned trying to get a reaction out of her. Hermione rolled her eyes at her and out of nowhere hit her hard with a pillow knocking Harri off the bed.
Harri giggled at Hermione and took a pillow off her bed before hitting her back just as hard and barraging her with multiple attacks. Hermione finally laughed and for once in her life she felt good about participating in childish games that she had deemed beneath her. Hermione had never thought that anything physical would bring her so much joy, but she did suppose that it was because of her company that she was enjoying herself so much. Both girls continued to strike each other with the pillows until Harri surrendered a couple of minutes later. Harri was surprised that Hermione packed a hit, but she did suppose that the crunch she heard from Malfoy's face in their third year should have been an indicator that Hermione could hold her own in a physical fight. Hermione also had the advantage of having grown up with meals every day and weighing more than Harri herself.
Harri fell back on Hermione's bed out of breath and laughed at Hermione's bird nest of hair. Hermione looked curiously at Harri, and Harri simply pointed at a mirror before another round of laugher erupted from her. Hermione huffed and then pointed her wand at Harri's hair and made it puff out like hers. Instead of reprimanding Hermione, Harri took one look at the mirror and laughed harder at the both of them this time causing Hermione to join in the laughter this time.
Both girls stayed up late, and Harri took the time to get to know Hermione again and relisten to all of her stories with patience. Harri asked her all of the right questions so that she could continue speaking of herself and had her retell her some of the stuff she hadn't mention from the first time they knew each other. Harri told Hermione enough about herself to let her know that she did not have a happy upbringing and that she was taking potions to correct the years of mistreatment that she suffered because of it. Hermione had gasped and had unshed tears in her eyes before Harri reassured her that she was okay now and that she wouldn't be returning to them.
Both girls continued sharing secrets and Hermione told her with a tremble in her voice how she never had any friends and that Harri was her first friend and Harri felt bad for the first time in a while. Harri didn't want to take the place as Hermione's first friend because it wasn't fair for Hermione that she was just using her as a replacement for her old Hermione. Harri did value the friendship of the younger Hermione, but it wasn't the same as having her old Hermione back with her. Harri only smiled at her and told her that she was glad that she met her and that she was there to stay. Before they both knew it, both witches fell asleep with lighter hearts.
Harri woke up with a start early next morning and got up from the bed carefully as to not wake Hermione up. Harri listened around and made sure that Parvati and Lavender were still asleep before she carefully opened her trunk and stepped into it to freshen herself up. Harri took her wand from her holster and got it ready just in case Pettigrew had freed himself. Harri carefully stepped down the stairs from her trunk and closed the trunk just in case Pettigrew somehow managed to escape her.
Harri walked down a couple of more steps before she heard a stirring from the living room in her trunk. Harri felt a sinister smile make her way into her face and she walked out of her hiding place behind the wall and watched as the rat stirred a little while more before she got tired and reinnervated him herself. Harri sat down on her couch and relaxed her posture and lazily stared at the stirring rat before he opened his eyes.
Pettigrew's beady eyes scanned the room before he caught a look at Lily. But that couldn't be right, Lily had died at the hands of the Dark Lord many years ago. Pettigrew noticed that the girl was staring at him, and it took him a bit too long to realize that he was staring at little Harriet. So much like her mother he assumed but then he noticed that Harriet was staring at him with a malicious gleam in her eyes with her wand loosely held in her hand. Pettigrew eyes continued to look around the room, not recognizing where he was or the danger he was in, but he was sure he could overpower the young girl. He still had his wand and the wand of the Dark Lord, meanwhile, young Harriet didn't even know how to hold her own wand. Having made a decision Pettigrew reverted back to his human form and shakily pointed his wand at the daughter of the friends that he had betrayed. Harriet didn't stir and didn't bother to put her wand up in a defensive position, instead, she continued to smirk at him and eye him like a predator would its prey.
"Why don't you have a seat?" Harri finally decided to speak, lazily reclining herself against the couch and waiting until Pettigrew lost his nerve and fired at her.
"Ha-Ha-Harriet, you lo-look so-so much li-like Li-Lily." Harri inclined her head to the side and laughed cruelly at him.
"You have disappointed me Pettigrew" Pettigrew felt a cold shiver run down his spine at those words. How is it that the daughter of James and Lily Potter could have an uncanny resemblance to the Dark Lord? Pettigrew stared at the girl, and he realized that she was holding her wand like the Dark Lord use to do and was had an air of superiority that the Dark Lord always had. The mannerisms of Harriet, they way that she looked relaxed in her surroundings, the position of her wand, her smug attitude, everything about the girl screamed danger.
"How do-do you kno-know me-me?" Pettigrew stuttered.
"Don't play dumb with me Wormtail" Harri hissed, and her eyes flashed AK green for a fraction of a second and then they subsided with the anger still shimmering in her eyes. Pettigrew flinched and Harri took pleasure in knowing that she could make a grown wizard flinch with such a young body. Harri controlled her anger and wanted the retribution she never had the first time she found out what this man had done.
"you're partially to blame for the death of my parents" Harri apathetically spoke to him and looked for any reaction that she could use against the balding man.
"Ha-Harriet, it wasn't me-me." Harri laughed at his attempt and decided to give him a bit of a motivation to speak. Harri stunned the man before he could realize what was happening and took his wand and Voldemort's in her hand. Harri felt a disturbing warmth form Voldemort's wand when she held it in her hand, but she ignored it and put it in the back of her head to think about it later, and using Voldemort's wand she fired her first unforgivable in her new life.
"Crucio" It was so fast that Pettigrew didn't realize that he was hit by a spell until he felt his every inch of his body burn in agony. Every nerve felt like he was being burned alive and it never stopped, every second felt like an eternity. Pettigrew's body writhed on the floor for a couple of seconds before Harri released him and she innocently smiled at him.
"Tell that to me again worm tail, tell me how you betrayed my parents and had Sirius thrown in Azkaban" Harri whispered with a deadly indifference that reverberated in the trunk.
"Please Harriet!" Pettigrew sniveled at her. "The Dark Lord would have killed me! No one was safe!"
Harri gave him a cruel laugh and gave him a shark like grin and asked him, "Aren't you afraid that I would have grown up and killed you instead?"
"Please Harriet! yo-your parents wo-wouldn't have wanted this!" Harri sighed and stared into the eyes of Pettigrew and said,
"Well, they are dead so they can't want anything, maybe if they were alive, they would have taught me wrong from right but I'm sure Sirius would want this." Harri fired another curse at him.
"Crucio" Harri watched with disinterest at his screams that penetrated around the trunk. Harri cut it after a couple of more seconds and from her place in the couch ordered Pettigrew,
"Come closer Wormtail" Wormtail flinched at the use of his nickname, and he automatically crawled himself over to the cold girl that couldn't possibly be the daughter of his best friends.
"You're going to do something for me, and then you're going to forget about our little fun." Harri spoke evenly, not letting out a bit of the anger bubbling inside of her.
Pettigrew could feel the danger, but he didn't follow his instincts and instead he took aim to tackle her, but Harri was a step ahead of him and bound him. Harri tutted at him,
"You should know better than that by now Wormtail, it's a shame I still need you." Harri chided him.
"Imperio" Harri whispered.
