"Valerie?" Stefan asked.

"I'm sorry, I have no idea who that is." The woman said and Stefan realized it must have been another doppelganger, like him, Tom and Silas, Katherine, Elena and Amara before the woman turned to Dean and Sam with a polite smile. "Dean and Sam Winchester. Pleasure to meet you. Lady Toni Bevell. Men of Letters. London chapterhouse."

"Well… I guess not all of them are gone." Henry said, grunting.

"Indeed. Some of us wanted to get involved into the business in the United States after what happened in 1958 but the old men thought we were overstepping our bounds." Toni said before she saw wounded Henry.

"Here. Let me." Cass said, about to heal Henry.

"No. It's… it's OK." Henry said, stopping Cass. "I've accepted I wasn't going to make it." He then smiled at his grandsons proudly. "I'm sorry I judged you two so harshly for being hunters. I should have known better. You're also Winchesters and as long we're alive, there's always hope." He then held Dean's and Sam's hands. "I didn't know my son as a man, but having met you, I know I would have been proud of him."

Henry closed his eyes as he tilted his head, not opening his eyes again as they looked at him, Dean and Sam solemnly.

They buried Henry in the cemetery next to the Men of Letters who had been massacred by Abaddon years ago as Dean, Sam and Cass looked saddened, while the rest looked at them in sympathy.

"I'm truly sorry." Toni said.

"So, English Men of Letters?" Dean asked.

"British." Toni corrected. "We've been watching you and your brother for a time. Lucifer, the Apocalypse, Leviathans."

"Then why show yourself only now? Where were you this whole time?" Dean snapped.

"Fair question." Toni said. "You know, some of us wanted to get involved, but the old men thought we were overstepping our bounds. However, after the recent mess with Crowley, the prophet Kevin Tran and the Gemini coven and the Salvatores and you pulling out our skeletons from the closet, they needed to know what were you up to."

"So, what, you want us to team up?" Sam asked.

"Actually… I assume you've already recovered the key?" Toni asked.

"The box that Henry came here for." Dean realized.

After the whole ordeal, they had come to visit Larry Ganem who had survived Abaddon's massacre and had been living in a retirement home since then, when Larry had mentioned to them a box with the key hidden in the clubhouse that Henry was supposed to retrieve, which unlocked the bunker that served as a storehouse of supernatural knowledge collected by the Men of Letters for over a thousand years that they were supposed to protect.

"What? You want to get access to the storehouse?" Sam asked.

"Well… I suppose that hunters like you could use some edge with the knowledge stored there. So we'll trust you with that… for now. And I think that some alliance might be beneficial." Toni said before she handed them a card. "My number. In case of emergency. I think you might need it in the near future."

"Thanks… I guess?" Dean said, unsure.

"I hope we can cooperate well. See you soon." Toni said before she noticed Stefan looking at her sadly. "If you won't mind me asking… Stefan, was it?" He nodded. "Who's Valerie exactly?"

"Someone I miss." Stefan said and as she saw the longing look in his eyes, it hit her.

"I'm sorry." Toni said before she gave them a kind smile. "See you soon."

Toni then entered her car and drove away.

"I've got a bad feeling about that woman." Dean said.

"Same here." Sam said. If they only knew how right they were.

Then, Stefan pulled something out of his pocket. "This was in your grandfather's wallet."

Dean and Sam took a look at the worn out photo of Henry and little John.

"Dad looks happy." Sam said.

"Kinda makes you wish he knew the truth. All those years he thought his old man ditched him, when the poor son of a bitch really came here to save our bacon. Freaking time travel." Dean grumbled.

"You think it would've mattered?" Sam wondered as they looked at him. "Dad. In how he raised us, if his Dad was around."

"Sammy, he did the best he could." Dean reasoned.

"I know that. I do. They all did." Sam nodded as he looked at the box in his hand.

"Does that place even still stand after all those years?" Dean wondered.

"We'll find out." Sam said.

"So I guess that's it, huh? You're going to leave now?" Bonnie asked.

"Well…" Dean considered as Bonnie looked at them sadly before he looked at Sam. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to see if there isn't another case here in Mystic Falls. Assuming that Stefan and Damon aren't behind it."

Bonnie smiled, glad that her friends would stay a bit longer as Dean and Sam smiled back.

After Matt's funeral, Dean and Sam went on investigating the Gemini Coven further and learned that they had created another Prison World, where, much to Stefan's and Damon's shock, was imprisoned their mother, Lily Salvatore, who had become a vampire and turned out to be Enzo's sire and Stefan, Damon and Bonnie came to visit her with the Ascendant, but decided to leave her behind for now, when they realized she didn't want to leave the Prison World without other people who had been imprisoned and after learning from Joshua that the other prisoners, the Heretics, were dangerous, it became clear to Stefan and Damon that it was too big of a risk to let them out until the time grew that Luke and Liv had to merge, which ended with Liv winning and absorbing Luke's power, much to her guilt, even though her friends comforted her over her guilt.

During that time, Dean and Sam decided to train Jeremy so that he would become even more skilled hunter and Bonnie and Enzo grew closer together, much to Stefan's, Dean's and Damon's discomfort, due to their friendship with Bonnie, even though Enzo later became a better man because of her and Dean and Sam eventually found a recipe for another cure for vampirism in the Men of Letters' bunker and gave it to Enzo so that he and Bonnie could have happy lives together.

Liz was later diagnosed with cancer and Caroline grew desperate to save her life, even begging Cass and his angel friends to heal her but Cass refused to play God again and defy natural order after the last time he had tried to match God's power with the souls from Purgatory, which only corrupted him and resulted in releasing the Leviathans and after Liz's death, the grief then became too much for Caroline to take due to her vampire nature until she shut her humanity off and began causing too much trouble around, despite Dean's, Sam's and the Mystic Fall's gang best efforts before she forced Stefan to shut his humanity off as well and left with no other choice left, Liv and Bonnie inevitably let Lily and the Heretics out to persuade Stefan to turn it on before they captured and locked Caroline up and let her starve before Stefan managed to get through to Caroline and persuade her to turn her humanity back on as she read Liz's farewell letter to her in which Liz said to her how much she loved her daughter, which led to Caroline reconciling with her friends later and Dean and Sam later stayed, when Alaric proposed to Jo and they decided to get married.

With the Heretics however on the loose in Mystic Falls and causing too much trouble for them to handle, Dean and Sam rallied together the remaining hunters and some of the British Men of Letters, which were Toni and Mick Davies and joined forces with the Armory that turned out to be a subsidiary of the American Men of Letters as they worked together to contain the Heretics until they scattered, with Valerie Tulle, Stefan's former lover and Toni's doppelganger helping them and Lily eventually seeing sense and choosing her sons over her psychotic and unstable lover Julian who they killed, with Lily sacrificing herself to stop him and the Heretics ending in a better leadership with Valerie taking over.

Even though they thought it was over, soon enough, the Heretics received a message from Rayna Cruz, a supernatural vampire huntress that she was coming for them and she then proceeded to kill many vampires that got in her way and trap her in the stone in her Phoenix Sword and considering that she was too strong for them to kill her several times, in act of desperation, Dean and Sam made a deal with Crowley, who, despite that he himself was terrified of Rayna, together with the Winchesters, the Men of Letters, the Armory and the Mystic Falls gang ultimately subdued Rayna and Crowley took her soul to Hell and destroyed the bodies of the Everlastings to which her life had been linked before she could mark Stefan and stayed true to his word that no demon aside from him would stay on Earth.

Cass eventually decided to make up for the damage he had done on Earth by visiting Claire Novak, daughter of his vessel Jimmy Novak, in a group home and while Claire was at first resentful but he eventually got through to her, when he realized she was in trouble when her friend and surrogate father Randy owed money to a loan shark named Salinger and when it turned out that Randy was willing to sell Claire out to Salinger, Dean, Sam and Cass intervened and took them down, with Randy and Salinger ending up in prison and Claire was willing to try make amends with Cass after that and reunited her with her mother Amelia after saving her from a rogue Grigori angel named Tamiel.

But their time of peace didn't last very long as Asmodeus, Ramiel and Dagon, the Princes of Hell, showed up and planned a coup and let Lucifer out before Lucifer killed them all due to being enraged at their defiance towards him and them allowing him to be kept imprisoned by Crowley before Lucifer possessed the President of the United States but with the tools from the Men of Letters and Crowley, when Crowley ultimately sacrificed himself as a part of the spell, got Lucifer out of the President and sent him back into his cage, with the Gates of Hell sealed and demons banished from Earth to Hell forever and the souls trapped in Hell by Crowley.

With the demons gone from Earth, Dean and Sam continued their hunting lives until one day Dean was killed by a Jacob Pond, son of Kitsune Amy Pond, who was Sam's childhood friend and a Kitsune as well and sought revenge on Dean and despite Sam's efforts to talk Jacob down, the ordeal ended up with Dean and Jacob killing each other and Sam later gave Dean one last hunter funeral and moved on until he met and eventually married a fellow and a deaf hunter Eileen Leahy, while Stefan and Caroline also got married, with Bonnie and Enzo living together happy lives, even though Damon would show up from time to time to hang out with his brother and old friend and stopped regressing to being unhappy and actually tried to be better since Kai.

2020, eight years later

Sam was having a dinner with his wife Eileen and son Dean II. together with Bonnie, Enzo and their daughter Sheila, Alaric, Jo and their twin daughters Jenna and Lizzie and Stefan and Caroline as they all sat at the table.

"Well, nice that we're all gathered here." Bonnie said.

"Even though not everyone is here." Caroline said sadly, thinking of Matt, while Sam thought of Dean.

"If there is Heaven, we'll meet them there." Stefan said.

"Oh, there is Heaven, though it might take a while before we meet them there." Sam said.

"Well, let's toast to those that are here with us and those we miss back there in Heaven." Bonnie said as they raised their glasses.

"To Dean." Sam said.

"To Liz." Stefan said.

"To Luke." Jo said.

"To everyone we've lost." Alaric said.

Years later

Sam, now old and hooked to the heart monitor was on the bed, resting as his son Dean II. and Eileen sat next to him as he smiled at them fondly.

"Dac, it's OK." Dean II. said.

"You can go now." Eileen said.

Sam smiled at them fondly before he closed his eyes and passed away in peace as he tiled his head while the heart monitor blared and flatlined.

Heaven

After catching up with Bobby and his parents in Heaven, Dean stopped the Impala at the bridge where he and Sam had met years ago, deciding to continue where they father had stopped, with the hunting business, saving lives as Dean leaned onto the railing, when he sensed presence behind him and at first Dean was on guard before remembering he was in Heaven and there was only one person who could it be as he smiled. "Hey, Sammy."

Dean turned around to see Sam, who smiled at him back as they hugged each other, finally reunited in Heaven with their friends and family.

Toni was a ruthless bitch in the show, sure but she had some morals and limits unlike the other British Men of Letters, who were a group of ruthless psychopaths, save for Mick Davies who at least had some morals and was mostly reasonable, something for which he then paid the price when he defied his superiors who were just ruthless amoral jerks and Toni eventually grew to respect Dean and Sam for their resilience until she allied herself with them when the British Men of Letters left her for dead before they had her killed but I tried to make her show in a bit better light, since like I said, a ruthless bitch but she had some morals and limits but overall, aside from her and Mick, the British Men of Letters were even worse than the Armory or the Watchers Council from Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and quite frankly, while the British Men of Letters were an interesting concept, their ruthless black-and-white arrogant mentality and the whole war with American hunters felt like a dumb plot with macho crap comparison and I left out the other storylines of SPN, since while they had good concept, some of them, especially Seasons 7 and 11 and 13 were disappointing, so I had them here as more of tense allies with tentative partnership and let's not get started on how the show ruined Chuck/God later.

And Dean's death from storyline perspective made sense, since he was always going to go out as a hunter and retirement never really suited him, but it was kind of stupid, considering that he was killed by a vampire from 1x20 that most fans had almost completely forgotten about and given that he killed mostly innocent monster Amy Pond (To fans of Doctor Who, it was Amy's alias and yes, obvious reference to the character) who only killed and fed on the living when she had no other choice left to save her sick son Jacob, so it would make more sense if Jacob was the one to kill Dean out of revenge than Jenny, given that she was just a one-time villain from the first season and it was a bit dumb she came back for revenge in the series finale.

I considered killing Damon off when I began this but ultimately Damon got a reality check and became better and all of the characters actually got better ending here instead of getting screwed, even though I don't have a high opinion on Damon or Elena and let's not get started on Damon/Elena or how Stefan/Caroline and Bonnie/Enzo got done dirty

And yes, imagine 'Carry On My Wayward Son', both versions by Kansas and Neoni here. Funny thing, Chris Wood as Mon-El sang in Supergirl Carry On My Wayward Son but it was horrible, so Dean and Sam have another reason to kill Kai for butchering the show's trademark song, ha.

Not sure of this story but I'd been planning it for a while and I hope you have enjoyed it until the end.

There are some other plot bunnies but currently I don't have the energy to plan and write anything longer for now due to personal life and certain circumstances on FF and I think you know what I mean but I may write some more stories with TVD, just don't have plans currently.

Until next time.

Please review and let me know if you have enjoyed the story to its end.

With regards
