October 5. Amrit Patel meets his fate.

"Mother, Auntie, I will be leaving soon."

"Why Padma? Stay with us sister, go in the morning. It is late now."

"No, I must leave. I'm going to go to Carol, to their Farm. She will guide me through my first transformation. The Full moon is in three days. Then I have other things I must do."

Parvati started to cry. She embraced her sister and whispered in her ear. "I fear what you will become. Don't let the hate consume you. I wish I had your courage, no matter what, you come back." Crying, she turned leaving the room without looking back.

Pala Patil took Padma's hands in her own and looked her in the eyes. "The November Moon is on the seventh. On the ninth, Auntie Adina will be taking us back to India to the Reddy family farm. It is remote and there will be a safe place for you and Parvati to change. We will buy wolfsbane for you. Grandfather is making arrangements now. Come back. You don't need to do what you intend. Even if you do not make it back here for the ninth, you can come any time after that. I'll not forsake you; the Reddy clan will not forsake you like that man did. Be safe my child, wolf or not, you are my child and I love you always. Don't forget that."

Padma watched her mother go into the house. Once the door closed, she called softly: "Ayah, I have need of you."

The family elf appeared and bowed. "Mistress Padma, you called? How may I serve?"

"Go to the house. Check to make sure Father is not home and then come back and take me to the house."

"Master Amrit is not home, Mistress." Ayah popped her to the snug just off the entry. "Go about your duties, watch over mother and auntie. I'll call when I need you. I'll be fine."

Padma kept watch and as the clock struck midnight, her proximity alarm alerted her. She took her place by the entrance and peeked out the sidelight. Her father and another person walked up to the door laughing. He unlocked the door and stepped in and started to turn towards his guest as the sand filled sock hit him in the temple dropping him like a side of beef falling off the end of a lorry. Padma reached out and grabbed the women following closely behind, pulled her towards her and down and hit her on the back of the head with the sock dropping her to her knees. She grabbed one arm twisting it behind her back and then the other, quickly tying them together with a boot lace. She dragged the women and then her father into the room and closed the door. She picked the still groggy women up and pushed her onto a chair and tied her to the chair.

She walked over to her father's prone form and kicked him in the ribs several times. Rolled him over and tied his hands and dragged him to another chair and tied him securely also.

"Who are you;" asked the women fearfully. "What do you want?'

Padma searched her silently and found a wand. Taking it, she searched her father and found a wand, money bag and his gold Gringotts key. Pocketing all three she looked at the women.

"Who I am is of no-account, whore. You know this scum has a wife and family?"

"He said he was a widow, that his family, wife and two daughters were dead."

Padma could see the truth in the women's eyes and relaxed.

"Besides being the father of the year, he is a liar. I will not hurt you further. I have things to do and when I return, I'll release you. Forget about him, forget about tonight for you will only get hurt." She stunned both for good measure. It would not due for either to get loose of their bonds.

Putting on a dark cloak she went to the fireplace and threw floo powder in and said the Leaky Cauldron and stepped thru. She made her way quickly to Gringotts bank and walked up to the afterhours reception desk. She looked the nameplate. "Throatslasher".

"I need to visit a vault, Attendant Throatslasher;" and handed the Goblin the key.

He picked it up and looked at it. "Very irregular Ms. Patil. Your father took your mother off the access list. He did not do the same to you and your sister, a mistake he may regret."

Padma simply smiled at him.

He studied her for a moment and liked the look in her eyes. "Very well, you have the key, not my issue if the vault owner is not careful with his key. This way to a cart."

A short ride later Padma was inside her family vault. She took a space expanded trunk from her pocket, enlarged it to full size and used her wand to levitate the contents of the vault, almost 45,000 galleons, into the trunk. She also took a box that held her mother's jewelry. She put a thick bundle of pounds and a money bag full of galleons in her cloak pocket. She shrunk the trunk and added it to her pockets. She looked once more to ensure she left nothing behind and reentered the cart.

"I'm finished young Cart Tender. Take me to the lobby."

When she arrived, she handed him a galleon coin. "Thank you."

The entire trip to the bank, vault and home took less that twenty minutes. When she arrived, she found her father still out. Padma walked up to the women and released her. Keeping her distance, she pointed to the fireplace.

"I am keeping your wand. I have need it of it. Go home and forget you ever met my dog of a father."

When she left, she sprayed water from her wand into his face until he woke up.

"Wake up dear father."

"Untie me this instance child."

Padma laughed so hard she bent over to catch her breath.

"Oh Amrit Patil, you say the most amusing things. You will be harming no one else. I woke you up so you could see who killed you. You cast mom, Parv and I out. It was the last straw on how you have treated us all these years."

"I'll kill you, wolf."

"Oh no, you will not father."

With that she plunged a stiletto into his throat and twisted it side to side before pulling it out and cleaning it on his coat lapel. She calmly watched him struggle. He choked to death on his own blood before he bled out. When it was over she walked into the kitchen.

She created a pocket on the inside front left of her cloak and hid the women's wand in it.

Then she created a second pocket in the bottom and hid the stack of pounds in it. She cast disillusionment and notice me not charms on them. Satisfied she took the trunk out and called:

"Ayah."

"Yes Mistress?"

"Here, take this trunk to my mother. She will need what is inside. Tell her it was from me. She no longer has to worry about her husband hurting her again."

Padma watched the little elf take the trunk and disappear. She took her mobile out and dialed a number that was answered on the third ring.

"Hello Carol, it's Padma. My sister is leaving the country with mother and I've decided to join your little group. Can I meet you somewhere so you can take me back to the farm?
