Welcome back my darlings~! As I've said, I update when I finish a chapter so there will be no kind of update schedule just due to the way life works but I will try to be semi-regular with it. I hope to get to the real meat of the story soon. I promise things will start to pick up as we move closer to the sports festival! Hang with me for now! I hope you enjoy this chapter!
Lunch came quickly and Akiara quickly found her desk surrounded before she could even stand. She blinked at the group surrounding her, slowly arching an eyebrow at them all.
"Hello my name is Ida Tenya and I am the class representative of class A-1!" The boy had dark hair with glasses and wore his uniform properly.
"Hello..." She greeted, blinking slowly. "Nice to meet you, Ida-san? Who are your... friends?"
"Of course! Where are my manners? This is Midoriya Izuku, Uraraka Ochaco, Asui Tsuyu, Yaoyorazo Momo, Tokoyami Fumikage," he went down the line, introducing everyone in the classroom except for the two that left. "The two that left are Bakugo Katsuki and Todoroki Shoto." Akiara pushed her stuff into her bag as she stood up nodding along.
"Kaachan is the blond and Todoroki has half white hair and half red. They're pretty hard to miss." Midoriya explained, motioning to the door where the two had left.
"Do you wanna get lunch with us?" Uraraka asked.
"Um, sure? I guess. Can't hurt." She allowed them to lead the way, asking a bunch of questions as they did so. Akiara scratched her head as she tried to keep up. "You guys are excitable..." She trailed off seeing the size of the food court, eyes going wide. "Wow!"
"I know, it's a lot but they really serve great food here. You're bound to find something you like!" Uraraka explained when she saw the other girl's expression.
"It looks expensive..." She mumbled but shook it off before anyone could hear her. "I brought my own lunch actually." She waved the small paper bag slightly.
"Me too!" Uraraka looped her arm through Akiara's. "Let's go grab a table while the others get their food." Akiara didn't have much time to argue before being tugged along.
"So how much have I missed, Uraraka-san?" She questioned as the two maneuvered to an empty table with enough chairs for all of them.
"Oh you don't have to call me that," Uraraka waved her off then answered the question, "Not much. The only big thing was a quirk apprehension test where Sensei lied to us!" She pouted as Ida and Midoriya joined them.
"What's wrong, Uraraka?" Midoriya asked.
"Oh I was just telling Nakamura about Aizawa-sensei lying to us about the quirk apprehension test."
"Yeah that scared the crap out of me!" Midoriya agreed.
"Did you not do well?" Akiara couldn't help the question that slipped between her lips. She covered her mouth when his head dropped.
Ida explained, "Midoriya came in last place which Sensei said would be expelled. Speaking of class though," his gaze settled on Akiara in a way that made her fidget, "You started class late and I don't recall seeing you at the entrance exam. What hall were you in?"
"Oh, I didn't take the exam." She began to play with the hair falling over her shoulder. "I got in on a recommendation."
"That's so impressive, Nakamura! Both Yoayaroza and Todoroki got in on recommendations and they're already on their way to the top of the class!" Uraraka bounced in her seat.
"Who's recommendation if you don't mind me asking?" Ida's eyes stared into her own. There was a beat of silence as Akiara debated telling or keeping it a secret before finally relenting.
"Aizawa-sensei's." All three mouths hit the table as they dropped. "Whaaaat?!" She demanded the horrible feeling of having done something wrong crawling up her throat like thousands of moths with their fluttering wings and feathery legs tickling her throat as they tried to make their way out of her mouth.
"That's incredible! Nobody impresses Aizawa-sensei!" Ida protested. "You have to tell me what you did! How you did it!" Akiara clammed up and shook her head, quickly stuffing a bite of her sandwich in her mouth.
"Jeez, calm down, Ida. She just got here. Also we should really eat our lunch. We have heroics class later today." Uraraka came to Akiara's rescue.
"Is it true that All Might is teaching that class?"
"We think so but we won't know until it's time." Uraraka answered but Akiara's eyes narrowed as she noticed Midoriya suddenly far more interested in cramming as much food in his mouth as possible. Instead of commenting on it she asked another question.
"So what are your quirks?"
"I can control the gravity of anything I touch with all five of my fingers but it makes me nauseous to use it on myself."
Ida went next, "I can run incredibly fast using the engines in my legs."
"I have a strength enhancer quirk but I don't have great control over it yet. I usually end up breaking my own limbs to use it." Midoriya's eyes stayed glued to his plate at least they did until Ida asked about Akiara's quirk.
She smiled sheepishly, "My quirk is called Snatch. It's a transformation quirk that allows me to take the physical attributes of anyone in my vicinity as long as they're within my sight. This also applies to their quirks though I can only manage 3 different quirks per activation and I have to use their quirk factor. Once I turn off my quirk I lose all of them. I can't store any." Before she'd even finished explaining it Midoriya had whipped out a notebook and began to scribble furiously in it. Then hundreds of questions spilled out of him, all faster than Akiara could even hope to answer. "Is he always like this?" She muttered under her breath as Midoriya continued to mumble and scribble.
"Sorry about that, he gets really excited about quirks." Uraraka only smiled fondly and shook her head at him.
"So, he's not….scared of it?" She turned to the other two. "Neither are you?" Both shook their heads and Akiara managed a wobbly smile.
"How many have you tried?!" Midoriya interrupted the moment.
Akiara thought for a moment, "Let's see I can use three per activation since I was in elementary school, I was a late bloomer," she counted on her fingers as she spoke. "Soooooo, more than I can count, but I only gain them for the period of activation. I got it when I was seven after I got into a fist fight with another girl at my school." She explained. "After that I accidentally caused it to activate. Up until then I was thought to be quirkless."
"Activate it by accident?" Ida asked as Midoriya added more to his notebook. Akiara looked around for a moment then smiled and summoned her quirk. Uraraka squealed when she saw a pair of fox ears manifest on the top of Akiara's head. The ears twitched away from the loud sound and instead twisted towards another table.
"Kirishima thinks that sounded like somebody stepping on a cat's tail." Akiara answered. All three heads turned to where Kirishima sat four tables away, whispering to Kaminari and Sero.
"Very impressive!" Ida complimented upon locating the student who's quirk Akiara had snatched.
"Thanks." Akiara took another bite of her sandwich as the ears vanished much to Uraraka's disappointment.
"Can you snatch anything else?" Ida questioned. Akiara nodded, glanced around, eyes settling on something. She flexed her fingers, lightning like energy crackled between her fingers as she did so. A shout from Bakugo where he sat with Kaminari, Sero, and Kirishima. A half eaten slab of chocolate appeared in her fingers. The wrapper indicated that it had spicy chilli in it. She offered the chocolate to the three.
"Don't you want it?" Uraraka questioned. Akiara shook her head.
"I'm not a big fan of spicy things, much less spicy desserts." Lunch ended and Akiara decided to leave the spicy chocolate on Bakugo's desk on the way to her own desk. He glared at her but she merely blew a kiss at him, instead taking the time to glance around the room, observing each of her classmates as they waited for Hero Basic Training to start. She wondered about the legitimacy of All Might being a teacher at U.A. and teaching Hero Basic Training. She hadn't seen him since that night.
As if summoned by her thoughts, All Might burst through the door like a mermaid coming out of the sea with a shout of, "I am here! Coming through the door like a hero!" Akiara arched an eyebrow as he pranced to the podium and suddenly she missed Aizawa-sensei and his calm, almost bored demeanor. She noticed that he wore a different costume than the last time she'd seen him. One of her classmates said it was his silverage costume, whatever the hell that was. Akiara couldn't help the grin when All Might mentioned combat. Finally something I know I can do rather than trying to figure out everyone and what they'll think, as the thought crosses her mind she remembered previous reactions to her quirk and her smile dimmed. Hopefully U.A. wouldn't be like that. The sound of the others moving jostled her out of her memory and she realized that cases with numbers on them had come out of the wall. She walked over to her case and picked it up, surprised that her costume could be done so fast.
Akiara followed the other girls to the changing room, arching an eyebrow at her very purple classmate(?) that seemed to be loitering around the entrance to the girls locker room. Upon realizing he'd been caught he slunk into the boys locker room. With a shutter Akiara walked into the room only to be greeted by a very pink classmate instead. She blinked, trying to adjust her eyes to the brightness in front of her.
"Hi! I'm Ashido Mina, call me Mina! I didn't get to introduce myself to you earlier!" She bounced in place, sticking her hand out for Akiara to shake.
"Nakamura Akiara but you call me Akiara or Aki or Kia, or Kara. Whatever you prefer. I pretty much answer to anything." Akiara shook her hand with a shrug.
"Kia is such a cute nickname!" She exclaimed. Mina bounced some more as Akiara got dressed, keeping one ear on the conversation and the other one out or the creak of the door In case the purple one came back. She tugged on the black cargo like pants, noting happily that the outside of each leg was cut from ankle to mid thigh and could be adjusted with the laces already threaded through. Then she pulled on the navy blue sleeveless vest. The end of the vest fell down to her thighs but the bottom hung open allowing her access to the burgundy utility belt and the pouches it held around her hips. Finally she pulled on the opera length fingerless gloves.
"You look so mysterious, Kia." Uraraka looked unsure of using her nickname but Akiara merely pulled down the hood and smiled as she placed the porcelain mask with a stylized face drawn on over her eyes.
"Thanks, I hadn't really thought about it before I was offered the spot…" she trailed off, staring into the navy color of her vest.
"Really? Being a heroine wasn't your childhood dream?" Yaoyorazo asked as she finished putting her own costume on.
"More like a second chance at life." The whispered words fell dead in the silent room before Akiara shook out of her trance. "I'll see you guys out there!" She waved and bolted out the door.
"What do you think she meant by 'a second chance at life'?" Tsuyu asked, eyes fixated on the door.
"I don't know, maybe a hero saved her life and now she wants to repay the favor. Hard to know who though." Jiro shrugged.
"Well she got in on a recommendation." Uraraka shared.
"Funny, I don't recall seeing her." Yaoyorazo frowned as she tried to remember.
"You'd think that hair would be pretty distinctive." Jiro snickered.
"You missed the best part." Uraraka giggled, drawing the rest of the girls in closer. "The recommendation? It was from Aizawa-sensei!"
"No way!"
Akiara winced when she heard them all exclaim and hurried down the hall, pulling her hood down tighter. What was the big deal with Aizawa being the one to recommend me? She questioned.
Feeling the stare of the purple thing once more, she tugged the hood of her costume more and moved to hide behind the armored classmate as they walked. She heard the other girls catch up with the group.
"Now, it's time for combat training!" All Might shouted once he'd finished snickering at Midoriya's obvious costume nods to himself, which Akiara thought was rather cute.
A sharp voice jumped out from a suit of armor. "Sensei! This is a battle center from the entrance exam, so will we be conducting urban battles again?" Akiara identified the voice as Ida.
"No, we're going to move two steps ahead! Most of the time, fighting villains takes place outside, but if you look at the statistics, atrocious villains appear indoors at a higher rate. Imprisonment, house arrest, backroom deals! Truly intelligent villains hide in the shadows!" The class's earlier excitement dimmed down a little, a more serious mood settling in among them.
"For this class, you'll be split into villains and heroes and fight 2-on-2 indoor battles. This is a real battle to understand those basics!"
"Isn't this a little advanced?" Tsu asked, cocking her head to the side.
"The best training you get is on the battlefield!" Akiara nodded, silently agreeing with All Might's words. "However, the key this time is that there's no robot you can just beat up."
Yaoyorazo spoke up this time, "How will wins and losses be determined?"
"How much can we hurt the other team?" Akiara didn't have to guess who asked that. She could almost feel the eagerness to instigate violence in Bakugo, like a pomeranian.
"How will we be split up?"
Several other questions started to emerge, some more important than others, anyone could tell All Might was starting to get overwhelmed. Feeling her eyebrow begin to twitch she let out a loud whistle silencing the class.
"If you'd all shut up and stop interrupting I'm sure he'd tell us." All Might nodded at her scathing remark but jumped at the chance to explain before the group found their tongues again.
"Listen here, the situation is that the villains have hidden a nuclear weapon somewhere in their hideout." Why would villains keep a nuclear weapon IN their hideout? There are way better places to keep it, she thought. "The heroes are trying to dispose of that. They need to catch the villains or get the nuclear weapon back in the allotted time. The villains need to protect the nuclear weapon for the whole time or catch the heroes. Teams and opponents will be determined by drawing lots!"
Akiara found herself on team I with Ojiro Mashirao. She nodded in greeting when she found him staring at her contemplatively. She arched an eyebrow when All Might declared A vs. D. That seemed like an extraordinarily bad idea though luck of draw tended to be that way. Shaking her head she followed the rest of the class towards the monitoring room. Whistling to draw Midoriya's attention.
"Good luck!" Nodding she ducked into the building.
Upon watching the first match Akiara was sure of four things. The Pomeranian needed anger management classes, literally every time he spoke, Midoriya needed serious therapy, not almost killing himself was not a good attack plan, Uraraka didn't take things serious enough, laughing at Ida completely blew her cover, and Ida took everything too seriously. Between his monologue and shouting things like "in the name of villainy" and other silly things, she still agreed that he performed the best. After Midoriya was taken to the nurse's office All Might pulled another set of lots.
"Team I vs Team B. Team I will be the villains and Team B with be the heroes!" All Might handed Akiara and Ojiro each a map and an ear piece as they moved to the next building. "The villains have five minutes." Akiara glanced at the map and popped the ear bud in. As soon as they found the weapon Akiara picked it up.
"Let's go, I have a plan." Ojiro blinked a couple times, stunned, then jogged to catch up with her.
"Okay, let's hear it."
"If I were Team B I'd use Shoji to locate us and then freeze the building. It ruins any sneak attack we could set up and the likelihood of us being unable to move never mind engage is high." Ojiro nodded.
"No offense but that sounds like a plan for the heros. Not us." Akiara gave him a look from under her hair.
"Wasn't done." He gave a sheepish smile and motioned for her to continue. "However, from all that I've observed Todoroki isn't a team player. He never talks to any of us and rarely speaks in class and even then only when called upon by a teacher. So my guess is once Shoji locates us Todoroki will freeze the building including us and then come collect the weapon himself leaving Shoji outside so he doesn't have to be careful with his ice. Everything about his costume is a rejection of his fire half. He's covered it with ice. He won't use it."
"I'm hoping you have a way to counter his ice then?" Ojiro asked, pushing open the door for her. They'd trekked all the way up to the farthest room on the top floor. Akiara set the weapon down and nodded.
"You got lucky. I wasn't here for the quirk apprehension test. Only three people in our class know what my quirk is and all three of them just finished their fight. You're about to be number four." She grinned.
"So Todoroki and Shoji are coming in blind on your abilities and by your guess Todoroki will be alone and over confident?" Ojiro grinned back when she nodded. The wicked gleam in her dark eyes made Ojiro chuckle, "I'm glad you're on my team. I don't think I'd wanna go against you." Leaning over Akiara began to whisper in his ear, as her hand delved into one of the pouches on her belt.
All Might shouted awkwardly but enthusiastically and then the buzzard blared.
Shoji stepped into the building with Todoroki just behind him. Ears grew from his tentacles and then he reported, "They're both on the top floor, all the way at the end of the hall in the back room. One is barefoot and the other has shoes on. The weapon is there too." Todoroki strode past him.
"I'll take care of this. Step outside for your own safety." Without waiting to see if Shoji had done as he asked, Todoroki placed his hand on the wall and began to freeze the building.
As the temperature dropped and the ice began to crawl up the building Akiara turned and nodded at Ojiro who in turn leapt into the air, avoiding the ice completely. He grabbed her outstretched hand, just hanging from the wire attached to the knife embedded in the ceiling. They waited until Todoroki's shoes could be heard on the ice. Silently Akiara jabbed her thumb out the window prompting Ojiro to jump down it, capture tape in hand, using another length of wire to descend down the outside of the building safely.
The way Ojiro moved with the wire reminded All Might of Aizawa and his binding cloth. Perhaps young Nakamura is a fan, he thought. After all she's the only one he'd ever heard of being recommended by the man. Nevermind that when he'd informed All Might of the change in class he'd said the new student had much potential which he found baffling. Still he commended the pair's ingenuity when Ojiro attacked Shoji from above. His tail smacked Shoji hard, sending both him and his now loose earpiece flying. His tail snapped out again, knocking the earpiece away before Shoji could reach it.
"Step one complete." Ojiro's voice echoed in her ear as Akiara waited patiently for Todoroki to enter the room. She spun one of her throwing knives around her finger as she did so. Todoroki pushed the door open and walked into the room.
"Showtime." Akiara reached for her quirk, activating it, feeling the familiar static like electricity ripple through her fingers. "Hello Hero." She purred from under her hood standing in front of the weapon which hung precariously from the ceiling using more wire and knives.
"Surrender the weapon and yourself. You're frozen to the ground." He commanded, ignoring her sultry tone, instead focusing on the weapon, somehow unfrozen, and how quickly she could toss it out the window.
"Why don't you make me?" He glowered at her but started towards her. As soon as he took his first step a massive fireball shot at him. Todoroki yanked a wall of ice up as he forced his body backwards. A few strands of his bangs singed. The room grew hotter until all of his ice began to melt. He tried to refreeze it but found that the temperature would only go down a few degrees before starting to rise again. A knife flew at his head forcing him to dodge. "What's the matter, Hero? Don't you want to play?" She called. Todoroki flung a barrage of ice shards at her. Akiara vaulted over backwards, launching herself into the air before landing in a seated position on the weapon, uncaring of the way it swung back and forth dangerously. Todoroki noticed that only steam rose from where her hands had touched the floor, not even leaving water left over from the melted ice. "Have you figured it out yet?" She asked, fire dancing on her fingertips.
"You have a fire quirk." He growled.
"Guess not." She pouted. "Tell you what, let's play a game. I'll give you 3 chances to guess what my quirk is. If you get it correct I'll hand over the weapon."
"And if I get all three guesses wrong?" He prompted.
"You forfeit your lives. So what's more important? Obtaining the weapon of keeping your freedom?" When he didn't answer her question, she adopted a wicked smirk. "Or I could just set the weapon off now…" The fire flickered at her fingertips and drew near the weapon.
"No!" Todoroki held out his hands for her to stop. "That will kill us all!"
"No, just you lot. I'll be fine. Or maybe," she swung her body back and forth causing the wire to swing too, the nuclear weapon so close to falling out the window, "I'll just toss this and go on my merry way. Tell me, how many civilian casualties can your shoulders hold, hmm?"
In the monitoring room the rest of the class watched the exchange with open hanging mouths as Todoroki conceded, "How do we play the game?" Akiara lobbed another blast of fire forcing him back out the door.
"Run!" She ordered. Todoroki whirled on his feet and took off. She watched him for a moment then touched her earpiece, "Step two complete. He's headed your way. How are things going down there?" Akiara jumped off the weapon and walked out the door pausing to ice up the entire entryway until a wall of six centimeter thick ice blocked the entire door.
"Good but I'm running out of ice chunks to toss around. I think you overheated the building and melted too much." Ojiro picked up another piece of ice and smacked it down the opposite hallway with his tail before ducking behind the wall. Shoji extended his tentacles turning them into ears before following the sound of the ice moving down the hallway.
"Don't worry about it. We're onto step three. Let's keep herding them. I've got Todoroki running. I'll see if I can put a spring in his step." Akiara started down the hall, hips swaying as she sauntered around looking for him. "Shoto," she croned causing the rest of her classmates to freeze, nobody had called him by his first name before, "where are you~?"
"She's toying with him like a cat with a mouse!" Kirishima gasped.
"They both are." Yaoyorazo corrected. "Ojiro is using his Superior agility and movement as well as the surrounding environment to cancel out Shoji's biggest advantage. Not to mention his bare feet make almost zero noise and it's even harder to tell with Nakamura kicking down doors," the group winced as she did just that, "And Todoroki is full on running now. There's so much noise that it's no wonder Shoji can't tell where Ojiro is or what's going on."
"Why the games though? Why not just fight?" Kaminari asked as Ojiro smacked his tail on the ground, drawing Shoji back towards him again.
"I believe Nakamura is running out the clock but more importantly," Ida explained as the girl tossed another fire ball into a room. When nothing happened she iced up the door and continued on. "She's not giving them a break. Todoroki is very straightforward. He clearly grew up using his quirk in a very forward no nonsense manner. Nakamura is different. She's creative and adaptive. Both she and Ojiro are using wire for more than capturing and it wasn't provided which means Nakamura carries it herself. They're even using the capture tape for more than its intended purpose." Ojiro attacked Shoji from the ceiling, forcing him to go staggering back only to trip over some capture tape stretched across the hall at ankle height. "It almost reminds me of Aizawa-sensei's style." The capture tape stuck to Shoji, tangling around his legs.
"Young Ida and Yaoyorazo are correct." All Might agreed. "Young Nakamura has surmised that by playing games she will keep young Todoroki from thinking or gathering his wits, in other words she's messing with his head. Clearly she is used to this kind of environment." The idea troubled him and the questions of what kind of childhood she'd had began to pop up.
"Come out, come out wherever you are, Shoto~!" Akiara sang as she stalked down the third floor corridor. Hearing his boots she crouched down and sent ice rushing after him. The yelp as his body kept moving but his feet froze to the ground directed Akiara. She rounded the corner, pausing to cross her arms over her chest and lean against the wall. "Guess number one?" Todoroki unfroze himself, whirling to face her.
"Control of the elements?"
"Well that was better than your last one." She shrugged. She ducked under the barrage of ice shards shot directly at her head, rolling across the ground and conjuring a fireball to meet his next wave of ice. The hallway filled with mist as the two canceled each other out. Todoroki stalked through the mist searching for his opponent. His ears strained but could only make out the sounds of his own heavy breathing. His head whipped back and forth but the mist prevented him from seeing anything. How long had this been going on? How long had she been quiet? Shaking the thoughts from his head he moved down the hallway, searching for the end of the mist.
"Todoroki, come in, Todoroki!" Shoji's voice echoed in his ear.
"Shoji! Where are you?" He questioned, quickening his pace.
"I'm on the first floor, northwest corner. Ojiro attacked me but I managed to capture him. Nakamura is headed my way, I need backup. If we catch her we won't have to worry about capturing the weapon or the ice in the way."
"I'm on my way!" He bolted for the nearest staircase, cursing under his breath for letting Nakamura get past him. His feet thundered down the two staircases until he was back on the first floor. " Northwest, northwest, northwest…" he muttered under his breath as he tried to figure out which way to go.
"This way, Todoroki!" He turned, seeing one of Shoji's tentacles formed into a mouth reaching around the corner. He followed it, barking at it to slow down as it retreated back to its master, always turning another corner just as he did. "I've been laying low here while I waited for you." Todoroki watched it vanish into the room at the end of the hall, still covered in ice. Todoroki crossed the hallway and pushed open the door.
His eyes widened as he found the tentacle attached to Nakamura rather than Shoji who sat unconscious on the floor with capture tape around his legs and arms. Nakamura leaned against his shoulder, almost sitting on him. "Don't worry," her mouth didn't move but the one attached to one of the tentacles sprouting from her shoulders did, "it's safe." Shoji's voice promised. Todoroki began backtracking only to find his only escape blocked as Ojiro dropped down into the doorway, tail swinging in for the attack. Todoroki ducked, doing his best to keep ahead of Ojiro's rapid fire moves. He lost his footing as Ojiro's tail wrapped around his ankle and pulled it out from under him. Todoroki went careening back straight towards Nakamura. His eyes widened as all three left arms pulled back. "Goodbye Hero." She slammed her fists into him. The triple hit knocked him unconscious.
Ojiro caught Todoroki before he hit the ground, quickly binding him in capture tape before he could move.
"Villains win! I repeat Nakamura and Ojiro have won!" All Might's voice rang out. Akiara squealed happily, immediately dropping her villain attitude to throw herself at Ojiro wrapping her arms around his neck in a hug.
"We did it! You were great!" Ojiro just barely managed to catch her but couldn't resist swinging her around once.
"It was your plan, I just followed your lead." He set her down on her feet and they high fived.
"We should probably untie them now, huh?" She jerked her head at team B and walked over. "Sorry if that hurt…." She trailed off when Todoroki didn't answer her and slumped over. Quickly realizing she'd knocked him out she rushed over, Ojiro hot on her heels. "I think I hit him too hard!" She unbound him, snapping her fingers in front of his face. "He's unconscious, we'd better get him to Recovery Girl!" Ojiro freed Shoji who had come around just in time to see Todoroki get taken down. He took Ojiro's outstretched hand and let his classmate pull him to his feet.
"Remind me not to challenge you to hand to hand combat. That really hurt." Shoji massaged his aching body. Ojiro grinned sheepishly.
"Sorry, though the trip wire was Nakamura's idea. You should probably have Recovery Girl look at them." Ojiro stayed close by in case Shoji lost his balance.
Todoroki came to, blinking slowly until his eyes managed to focus on Nakamura hovering over him, talking to somebody over her shoulder. Her hood had been pushed down, while her mask had been pushed up into her hair and she no longer had a sickening smirk spread across her lips. Now instead, they pulled down into a frown, the bottom one caught in her teeth. "Ojiro can you help Shoji out? I'll carry Todoroki. If the robots come in here the ice will clog their tracks. It'll be easier this way." Her eyes were on her partner.
"Yeah, I can do that. Ouch! Maybe you should invest in some wire that's not as sharp."
"Shit, I forgot you didn't have gloves. It's one of the many reasons I always wear gloves." She let Ojiro lead Shoji past her before turning her attention back to Todoroki. She had just been about to sit him up when she realized his eyes were open. "Oh thank goodness, you're awake! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you that hard! I didn't realize I had packed so much into those extra arms."
"Why are you apologizing? What you did was well within the parameters of the exercise." She helped him to his feet, steadying him when he slipped on the ice. "To be honest I found your villain act to be well done. I totally believed you'd just toss the weapon on the window causing numerous civilian casualties." Her smile wavered but Todoroki failed to notice. Nakamura helped him out of the building though he declined the stretcher after Shoji was taken away on one. She moved back to the rest of the class as Recovery Girl looked him over. When she let him go back to class All Might had already begun going over the fight and how each fighter could have improved.
Well there you go! Kia's first day of class and meeting all her new classmates. Not entirely what she had been expecting. I'm doing my best to keep in character but some things will change due to her influence. I hope you liked the battle and understood the explanation of her quirk and how it works. You'll see the downsides to it pretty quickly. Next time! Surprise Guests let themselves into UA ~ stay tuned! Cheshire is out~!
