Welcome back to another chapter! Mina and Kyoka make their reappearance today, so if you've been missing them I hope you enjoy!
It was a few days later while during lunch that Izuku's phone buzzed with new messages. Looking at it, Izuku was surprised it was Kirishima and Mina texting him. Kirishima's text was more straightforward asking when Izuku planned on cleaning the park again, to which Izuku said later that evening.
Mina's text was a collection of very excited short messages about a new girl that transferred into her class today and how absolutely cute and cool the girl was. Izuku had a guess as to who it was when Mina started to ramble on about how cute the messy twin hair buns look was.
As Kyoka was busy trying to calm Mina in their group chat. Izuku got a new message, one from an unknown number. Opening it up, Izuku found a selfie of Himiko standing in front of her class and posing with some of her new classmates for the photo. Izuku laughed at how Mina was right up front next to Himiko with an arm around her. The world works in strange ways.
Izuku blinked when an idea came to him. A mischievous grin crossed Izuku's face as he sent a text to Himiko.

Himiko was grinning at her phone swinging her legs in her chair. She raised an eyebrow at Izuku's new message before turning Mina who was talking loudly with her friends.
"Mina~ Katsudon is better than spicy ramen~" Himiko said putting on an innocent grin.
Mina stopped cold before she exploded from her chair in righteous fury.
"AHHH! Midori-kun's heresy has expanded too far. I can't believe what I'm hearing. The pure and utter blasphemy of his worldview shall not sway me. Ugg, I can even hear him laughing at me." Mina ruffled her hair as Izuku's laughter echoed in her ear.
Mina blinked before turning to Himiko who was busy laughing. Ignoring the girl, Mina focused on what she was holding. On Himiko's phone, Izuku was too busy laughing to see that Mina was paying attention to him.
"Wha-? Midori-kun? What? How? You know Himiko-chan?" Mina floundered for a bit while Himiko wiped a tear from her eye and Izuku calmed down.
"Yup! Izu-kun helped me get transferred here," Himiko said beaming.
"Ah yeah, I met Toga-san-"
"Himiko-chan, Izu-kun~"
"Ahm, Himiko-san, last week," Izuku said blushing. "I-I knew she was going to be transferring over to your school. I didn't think she'd be in your class though."
"Thanks so much for the heads up Mirdori-kun." Mina rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
"No prob." Izuku gave Mina a thumbs up making Mina's eye twitch.
"Kyoka is a terrible influence on you." Mina facepalmed and while looking through her fingers she saw Izuku trying to hide his laughter behind his hand.
Izuku looked away from the phone and the faint sound of another voice could be heard. With some quiet panic, the image of Izuku got really shaky. He ended up saying a quick goodbye before hanging up.
"So that's your mysterious boyfriend huh?" One of Mina's and Himiko's classmates said with a smirk.
Mina turned into a stuttering mess while spitting out denials. Himiko watched it all with a tilted head. Though a quiet giggle escaped the girl when the bell rang signaling lunch was over. It was going to be an interesting class for sure. Unable to hide her giddy smile, Himiko thanked whatever deity that existed that allowed her to meet Izuku and have a new start.

Mina, Himiko, and strangely Eijiro were walking together. Eijiro shifted around awkwardly while Himiko was just jumping around grinning. Her manic energy seemed to be infectious as Mina was also jumping around.
"I could hear ya excitement four blocks over," Kyoka said walking around a corner.
Mina was by Kyoka's side and wrapping an arm around the girl's shoulder in a flash.
"Kyoka dear, you've been a terrible influence on Izuku. He has somehow got it into his head that teasing me about katsudon being better than ramen is okay."
"But katsudon is greater than ramen," Kyoka said giving a sly smile and pushing Mina's arm off.
"Argh! I am surrounded by heretics," Mina said violently scratching her head.
Himiko and Kyoka laughed while Eijiro was chuckling while tilting his head. Eijiro's eyes drifted towards the park where Izuku was working hard with an amused grin.
"Midori-bro!" Eijiro said jogging over. Reaching the wagon he pulled out some gloves and bags and got to work. "Thanks for inviting me again Midori-bro. You're so manly for organizing this."
"H-hey Kirishima, I-I, I didn't do a whole lot of organizing. Just inviting people and showing up whether others do or not." Izuku shrugged as he picked up some more trash.
"Don't put yourself down Midori-bro, not many our age would think of doing something as manly as community service." Eijiro gave Izuku a thumbs up getting an appreciative nod from the smaller boy.
"Izu-kun~" Himiko said as she wrapped her arms around Izuku's neck. The poor boy turned bright red as he stumbled.
"Himiko-san! Hello, I'm, I'm g-g-glad, glad you're here. Nowpleasegetoffme." Izuku said as his head started steaming.
"Should I change your nickname from broccoli to tomato?" Kyoka said, her voice full of amusement. Mina was hunched over laughing next to her.
"Y-you guys the worst," Izuku said as Himiko detached herself. She gave Izuku large puppy dog eyes.
"You don't mean that do you?"
"Wha-what? No, no, no. Of course not! I was just…" Izuku trailed off when Himiko and the other girls burst out laughing. Turning to Eijiro, the other boy just gave Izuku a shrug. Izuku just sighed as he took a deep breath to compose himself. Izuku looked at Eijiro at the same time and both rolled their eyes sharing the same thought, 'girls.'
"So Midori-kun, cleaning up the park huh, very heroic," Mina said looking at the large bag of trash in Izuku's hand.
"Sometimes the most heroic deeds are the small ones no one notices. If people don't take that step to do what is right. Then it's the same as turning a blind eye to everything that is wrong." Izuku's quiet declaration was met with silence as everyone stared at him. Realizing that he broke the mood Izuku rubbed his head while giving a sheepish grin. "Sorry, everyone. My head's been caught up in some recent news articles and their discussions."
"You talking about heroes the Hero Killar has been snuffing out? The abuse of positions and embezzlements, and hundreds of untold crimes." Eijiro winced remembering some of the crimes that were listed. They were definitely fake heroes only in it for the money and fame.
"Yeah, they… I felt frustrated about how they are ruining the hard work that other heroes have done. People are putting their lives on the line daily to do what is right. Yet, there're villains posing as heroes that keep escaping with their deeds until another villain steps up." Izuku shook his head as he clenched his fist. "Gah! I can't do anything about this, not now and not like this. First clean up the park, next the city, then Japan, then the world!"
"Manly! I won't let myself be outdone by you, Midori-bro!" Eijiro cheered, "I bet I can clean up more of this park than you can."
"You're on!" Izuku grinned as he and Eijiro clasped hands. Their manly bonding was interrupted by Mina.
"Don't forget about us!" Mina said waving gloves and trash bags in her hand. "I could easily out clean the both of you."
Eijiro gave her a thumbs up, "You're so manly Ashido, you're on!"
"Let's show those showboaters a thing or two Toga," Kyoka said sharing a grin with the girl.
"Call me Himiko-chan, and I be glad to," Himiko said with a slightly sadistic smile.

The sky was bright orange as the teens sat on a bench. As they were lazing about on a bench, drinking from water bottles and snacking. A large mountain of trash was piled haphazardly on the small wagon with a good number just around it. As Izuku looked around the park, he could not help but to smile knowing that they somehow managed to clean up the entire park.
"I am going to be so sore tomorrow," Mina said as she laid on the ground and stretched.
"You and me both," Kyoka said. Her eyes were covered by a wet towel as she rested her head on the back of the bench.
Himiko was really out of it and was nibbling on sandwich from a convenience store.
"I beat you dude," Eijiro said giving Izuku a worn smile.
Izuku chuckled, "This time, next time I beat you."
Eijiro raised his water bottle in a cheer before dumping the rest of it on himself. Izuku, Mina, and Eijiro laugh while Himiko and Kyoka chuckle once they saw what happened.
"Oi kids, want me to take that trash?" A gruff voice said from the park entrance. Looking over, they saw a gruff grey rat wearing the trashman's uniform grinning at them.
"That would be great!" Mina said hopping to her feet and grabbing the wagon's handle. Kyoka and Eijirou jumped from their seats to help out. Himiko trailed after them still nibbling on her sandwich. Izuku picked up the few bags not on the wagon and carried them over.
"I got to say you kiddos really cleaned the place. It's been a while since I've seen the park so clean," the trashman said. "What made you kids decide to do this? Or is this community service after getting in trouble?"
"Nope, nothing like that. We're all aiming to be heroes here!" Mina said tossing a bag of trash into the truck.
"Oh yeah? How come you kids not studying or training then?"
"What good is a hero that doesn't take the time to help out their community in ways besides fighting?" Izuku said as he approached the group. "Besides as kids, the best way to be heroes is community service. Can't be going about violating laws."
The trashman grinned, "Well said kid. The world needs more heroes with that kind of mindset. I hope you all go far." As the last of the trash was loaded up the trashman waved the kids off and drove off.
Kyoka stretched raising her arms above her head.
"Right, I got some homework to do. I catch ya later." Kyoka waved the group off after she got her bag.
Eijiro winced, "I forgot about my own. I best go as well."
"Ugg, I don't wanna. Himiko-chan, you want to get some bubble tea or something?" Mina asked practically begging the girl.
"Can't sorry. Need to return home now." Himiko's eyes were slightly glazed over.
"Want me to walk you back Himiko?" Izuku asked grabbing and handing out everyone's else bag. Himiko nodded as she ate the last bite of her sandwich.
Izuku waved to Mina and Eijiro while running to catch up with Himiko who had wandered off waving her goodbyes as well.
"You think there's something going on between them?" Mina asked looking towards Eijiro.
Eijiro just shrugged, "You're asking the wrong person about stuff like that. If I was a betting man, it's just Midori-bro being his heroic self."
Mina sighed, "One day he will get in over his head because of his heroic nature."
"And when that happens we'd be there to bail him out!" Eijiro grinned as he flexed his hardened arm.
Mina nodded with a grin as well. The two walked down the street together. Both making up elaborate stories of the trouble Izuku would get into as a hero.
Alright, we reached the chapter where they all got to meet! Now to think up shenanigans for everyone to get up into. That said I'll probably not update next week to focus on writing more chapters.
I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter. After the trouble Izuku been getting up to in last few chapters, I think it's a good time to step back and let the characters exist for a bit.
I hope everyone has a good day!
PK OUT!
