.

The three days of testing passed in a blur, but now we stood in front of our teachers, some of us looking completely at ease while others were visibly nervous.

"What are the teachers doing here?" I muttered only getting a shrug in response from Eijiro who stood beside me.

"We all figured that you guys managed to ask older students about the exam, and think you have an idea of what exactly you will be doing-"

"Big ol' robots!" Kaminari and Mina cheered, posing oddly in their excitement.

"Not quite!"

I jumped a tiny bit, and looked at my teacher curiously. That wasn't his voice that just spoke, that was Nezu…but where was the principal?

"Circumstances have changed, and so must the exam!" again the principal's voice sounded only for him to pop out of Aizawa's capture scarf excitedly.

I snorted at his entrance, then glanced at the two that had spoken before that were now frozen stiff as they processed this information.

"We feel that it is the most important thing for you students to be ready for true battles with villains, and we will be doing our best to make these fights as true to reality as possible by pairing you up in teams and your opponents," Nezu hopped from Aizawa's shoulder to the ground with surprising grace, looking up at us ominously, " will be one of us ."

My mouth dropped open in shock, "Huh?!" 'Well, shit.' I thought to myself.

Aizawa continued on with explaining the test, saying that the teams were decided on different factors: from personal relationships, grades, to even our moves in battle. "First team: Todoroki and Yaoyorozu will be against me." He announced with a menacing smirk, and by the look in his eye, I could tell he was noting the nervousness that Momo was showing.

"Next, Midoriya and Bakugo," the entire class tensed, eyeing the two, "your opponent will be-"

A sudden gust of wind was followed by a loud crashing sound, dust slowly clearing to show none other than, All Might.

"Will be me," the man spoke, and honestly, he was terrifying to look at right now. If he was intimidating to watch while on his side, he was ten-thousand times more so now when he intended to be on the opposing side.

"Anyway, we also have, Kirishima and Sato vs Cementoss, Ida and Ojiro vs Power Loader, Asui and Tokoyami vs Ectoplasm, Uraraka and Aoyama vs Thirteen, Koda and Jiro vs Present Mic, Sero, Mineta, and Himura vs Midnight, Ashido and Kaminari vs Nezu, and Shoji and Aizawa vs Snipe. Ten stages have been set up for your matches and will be going on simultaneously. Your opponent will explain the rules." Aizawa explained, now sounding bored.

As the groups split up, I was going over plans in my head. Snipe would be a challenge for me, considering I wasn't really made for distanced combat. If one of us could manage to distract him, though, maybe the other could take him down. It was a stretch since he was a pro, but…maybe.

I was almost to mine and Shoji's bus when I spotted Mic strutting across my path while talking to Mr. Aizawa, who was ignoring him as per usual. The situation was perfect for it to look completely believable if I stumbled into Mic by 'accident'. I shifted slightly, taking barely noticeable longer strides, and happened to collide with the blonde, stumbling like I was about to fall so he would catch me.

"Woah, careful there, little Princess!" he flashed me a bright grin, not even noticing the drain from me copying his quirk, then sent me on my way. I did catch Mr. Aizawa rolling his eyes while shaking his head, though. It didn't surprise me at all that he had noticed.

After getting to the test location, Snipe explained the rules for us, quickly getting straight to the point, then he left Shoji and me to use the prep room to talk over our ideas. At first, Shoji suggested he be a distraction so that I could use my stealth knowledge to sneak out, and though I was a little surprised he thought about that, I shook my head.

"What did you have in mind?" He asked as his mouthed tentacle shifted up slightly.

I didn't think I should speak since I had Mic's quirk, having had very little experience controlling it, so I fished out a mini-pen from one of my pockets and wrote on my hand. "Copied Mic I can stun, you can cuff"

"Sounds good to me," he said and his tentacle mouth smiled as another formed into a hand giving me a thumbs-up.

The training area we entered was strange but played slightly to our advantage. It seemed to be a large, empty warehouse room, with massive pillars taking up about half of the space. These pillars were surely thick enough to stop any of Snipe's bullets. I was also worried that maybe Mic's quirk might echo and harm us also, but at this point, I don't have time to worry.

Quickly shooting Shoji a grin, I started to head to the pillar across from us only to be yanked back a split second before the edge of the concrete – about where my leg would have been – exploded into small shards. My eyes blew wide, and I whipped my head around to nod at my teammate in thanks. He had three ears pointed in the direction the bullet had come from to catch any sounds that might indicate an attack. That was really smart of him to do, and I felt stupid for trying to just charge across.

"This will certainly be a challenge." He muttered and I nodded again.

We somehow managed to move forward a couple of pillars, but really all that did was encourage the hero to kick up the challenge. Our current pillar was being bombarded with what I could only hope were rubber bullets, though that would be shocking with the damage they were doing. Shrapnel from the pillar was flying with each shot, while Shoji and I rushed to think of something to do. It really felt like we couldn't do either option to end the match with a pass.

"Times runnin' out you two," Snipe taunted.

I growled in frustration, only to stop when it was creating vibrations in the air. Shoji laid a hand on my shoulder, drawing my attention to him. "It's fine. We can finish this, even though it may be a challenge. He is just one man."

I gave him another grin, though my thoughts were less positive. ' Just one man that's a pro hero that's really not hindered by the weights on him. No, I can't think like that. We can do this. We have to pass .' My expression turned determined, and I motioned with my head for us to start with the plan.

He nodded, just as Snipe tossed a smoke bomb, covering the area in heavy smoke that worked to his advantage. Shoji's mouth-tentacle smirked, "That worked out well for us, too, though." He then rushed to the pillar I had motioned to moments ago, drawing the pro's attention to him, and the floor was dotted with small bursts of concrete as bullets trailed behind. In a momentary pause, Shoji glanced at me before rushing to face Snipe head-on.

I saw my opportunity, sliding my boots off, quickly and quietly sneaking along the side of the room to get behind our teacher. The plan seemed good, but Snipe was a pro hero, he had much more experience than we did. Just as I caught sight of Snipe, I saw his head turn towards me slightly and his arm quickly jolted in my direction and sprayed bullets at me. Thankfully, there was a pillar close by that I was barely able to hide behind before his bullets reached me. I had no other option at this point, glancing at Shoji to see a small nod as he covered his natural ears.

' Here's hoping I don't blow out my vocal cords. ' I took a deep breath, feeling like fire was building up in my throat while I peeked my head around the edge of the pillar, then I screamed directly at Snipe. My time with the quirk was running low, but it was enough to catch him off guard. I saw him drop his weapons to clamp his hands over his ears, falling to one knee. Just as I closed my mouth to cut off the scream, Shoji moved and I accidentally cheered, sending out a shrill sound blast when I heard the click of the cuffs closing on his arm. Shoji shot me an exasperated look, his ears covered again and he shook his head at me when I threw him two thumbs up instead.

"Aizawa and Shoji have passed the test!" sounded through the area just in time for Mic's quirk to wear off. I tried to cheer again only for a dry rasp to come out, making me pout and Shoji chuckle.

"You really lost your voice?!" Ochako gasped, despite the giant grin she was sporting.

I was still currently pouting as we lined up to be bussed back to the main section of campus, and nodded before trying to speak as proof. All that came out was a raspy squeak, and I caught sight of Uncle Mic grinning at me from where the teachers were gathered. I mouthed ' Jerk ' at him which only made him burst into his loud, boisterous laughter and I rolled my eyes.

There were only a few of us currently standing by the busses: Ochako, Aoyama, Momo, Todoroki, Shoji, and I so far.

"Oh, look there's the others! How'd everyone do?"

Hearing Ochako, I spun to see pretty much everyone else walking our way. When they got closer, Mina looked up at us with a sad smile. "Well…I want all of the details of the trip when you guys get back!"

My brows furrowed and I frowned with my head tilting in concern, then I spotted three other defeated-looking classmates, including…

"Ei?" my voice was still really quiet and roughly squeaky, but that was at least enough sound to get his attention, though it was shocked and curious attention.

"Hey, what happened to you? I thought you fought Snipe?"

I nodded, feeling my cheeks heat up when I heard Ochako giggle beside me again. "She copied Present Mic, and she lost her voice from the strain of the quirk."

"She's lucky she didn't do more damage, considering, but her plan was what got us to pass," Shoji added, placing a hand on my shoulder for a moment before he moved over to another group.

Eijiro laughed, ruffling my hair much to my indignation, which had me huffing through my own grin, though it disappeared a moment later at his sad look.

"Ah, well," He rubbed at the back of his neck, "Cementoss is a super manly hero. Sato and I didn't stand a chance. You'll have fun at the summer camp thing for me, right?"

I tried to tell him that maybe the school would allow them to go anyway, but all that came out was a rasp that made Eijiro laugh again.

"So cute," His cheeky grin made me glare at him.

A gagging noise drew our attention over to the bus, more specifically to Kaminari. "You two are gross. Come on and get on the bus!"

"Ah, come on, bro!" Eijiro laughed at the blonde and grabbed my hand to pull me along with him to the bus. When we reached Kaminari, I brushed my fingertips across his arm briefly then pointed at his nose to send a small, static-like zap to the tip of it, making him yelp and fix me with a playful glare that I smiled innocently at. I knew he likely didn't even feel it, but it was still worth the surprise.

"I'm not sure if I like quiet Han-zawa. You turn physically abusive!" he whined as he plopped into his seat dramatically.

Yukime looked at the boy with a slightly sadistic grin, "So you'd rather have verbal abuse?"

"Actually, neither!" Kaminari whined, then slumped, "I'm so bummed that I won't get to go to the summer camp. Now we have the summer from hell, according to Mr. Aizawa."

The icy girl smirked mischievously, "I bet it'll be so awful! No fun, just lesson after lesson, then studying until you pass out!"

"Ew, no!" Mina cried out, though she giggled as well.

I chuckled at them, shaking my head. It didn't take long to get back to the classroom, but by that point, I had registered that Katsuki wasn't with us. I quickly tapped Eijiro's shoulder, then tapped the orange band on my finger once he looked at me.

"Uh…" he looked around as our group walked into the school building, "I don't know. You don't think he got hurt real bad, do you? Or maybe he got into trouble?"

"Kacchan was with Recovery Girl." My eyes darted over to meet bright green, though they showed his exhaustion clearly. Midoriya looked pretty roughed up, which really didn't surprise me considering his opponent was All Might. I bet the number one hero went all out on Midoriya and Katsuki. "He'll be fine, he was just resting."

"I'm not fucking 'resting', shitty nerd."

The three of us jumped at the familiar voice, looking to see Katsuki at the classroom's door, where he had apparently paused when he heard us talking. I started to ask if they had passed their test, and rasped slightly instead, which made me blush and groan though that sounded crackly also.

Katsuki's always furrowed brows tilted slightly to look more confused than angry, "The hell happened to you, Copy Cat?"

"She used Mr. Mic's quirk in her test, and it made her lose her voice." Eijiro told him then grinned cheekily again, "Now she squeaks and sounds ridiculous!"

My head jerked back and I gaped at him indignantly, then huffed and passed through the door to quickly fall into my seat. I heard a nervous chuckle from Midoriya and full laughter from others in the class as they filed into the classroom as well. Eijiro flashed me a sharp, sunshine smile and I couldn't stay frustrated with him. Literally seconds after the bell rang, the classroom door slammed open, drawing our attention to Mr. Aizawa as he shuffled into the room much less dramatically than he had opened the door.

"Sad to say, but it looks like we had some failures in the exams. You should all realize at this point what that means for those of you that failed," He paused, letting a heavy feeling settle over the class before speaking again, and I could tell he was about to screw with us again, "All of you will be going to the summer camp."

My eyes rolled in exasperation. How do I tolerate his nonsense? The ones that had failed automatically cheered, relieved to be allowed to go with the rest of us.

"Everyone passed the written exam, and only Kaminari, Kirishima, Sato, Mina, and Sero failed the practical section. We did our best to push all of you, and those who failed are truly the ones in the most need of this training camp." Said Mr. Aizawa as a sadistic grin started showing. "Another rational deception."

I gave him a deadpan look, and mouthed ' rational deception ' then stuck my tongue out childishly.

While the ones that failed celebrated, though, Mr. Aizawa added to his statement, " However , failure is still failure. You five will have special lessons, and it will be worse for you than summer school."

The five froze again, and their moods were instantly dampened. I heard Katsuki snort quietly behind me, and I shook my head.

Mr. Aizawa passed out a large list of things we needed to know about the camp and the supplies we needed as well. After class was dismissed a few of my classmates gathered together to look at the supply list, talking about how they didn't have a bunch of the stuff. Mina perked up suddenly, looking almost like the cartoon 'lightbulb' moments.

"Hey~! What if we do a group shopping trip!" She chimed excitedly as she bounced over to lean against Kaminari.

The blonde perked up, "Oh yeah, that sounds awesome! Who's coming along?"

"Gunna be a negative from Shoto and me. We have plans." Yukime gave an apologetic smile and Midoriya looked at them curiously. Todoroki glanced at his sister and then back to Midoriya. "We're visiting someone, and it helps with Yukime's therapy."

"Aw, well no worries." Mina turned to wrangle more kids for the trip, and I chuckled roughly, enjoying her energy then looked back at my supply list, crossing things off.

"You coming too, Bakugo?" I looked up from my list to see Eijiro standing on the other side of Sero's desk, smiling like always.

"Tch, why the hell would I waste my time?" Katsuki grumbled, "Besides, I have all this junk already."

"What about you Hana? Wanna join?" The redhead turned his attention to me in a flash, knowing it was easier to just let Katsuki do his own thing.

I cast a quick glance around the room only to see Mina, Ochako, Jiro, and shockingly Momo were actively staring with puppy eyes. I snorted then gave a quick nod. There's no way I could've turned that down.

"Sweetie, please , attempt to look less like you just hopped out of bed before meeting up with your friends!"

I groaned loudly at my mother's voice in my doorway. "I don't do fashion, I have no clue what I'm looking at here!"

Mom stepped into the room and motioned to the first thing she had laid out for me earlier when I was in the bathroom: a pretty, simple, light-blue sundress. "This one is more feminine, light, and airy. It would be cute and cool for the day. Guys love sundresses, too, so there's that to take into consideration. The next one is more your speed. It's really simple, but I did grab some things that were a bit more fashionable than your normal outfits."

I looked at the second outfit, seeing a pair of frayed denim shorts that looked like they went to about mid-thigh on the leg. They weren't bad, just looked really tight in my opinion. The top for that outfit was an oversized, blueish-gray tie-dye shirt, and I actually kind of liked it.

"The third outfit is my self-indulgent choice because I would love to see it on you, love to see if you can tolerate it, but I have a gut feeling that it's going to be turned down."

I stared at the very skinny, skinny jeans and crop top then looked up at her, "No. What is it with you and Uncle Hizashi and skin-tight clothes?"

"I just think you're built beautifully, and that you should wear clothes that flatter you." She pouted, "Keep the clothes, you may eventually decide to wear them."

Glancing down at the clothes again, I felt a snarky grin appear. "I could just do what dad does, only I'd keep the money from the return." That earned me a glare, but I still laughed at the situation. "Alright, alright, I'll be nice, keep the clothes, and I'll even wear the shorts and shirt however you want."

When her eyes practically started sparkling, I knew I was in danger.

Third Person…

"So when did Hana say she was going to get here?" Mina excitedly asked Eijiro as a few of their class waited for the rest to show up at the entrance of the mall.

He pulled his phone from his back pocket and looked at the last text his soulmate had sent, saying she was 'finally' on her way. That was a while ago, and he knew about how long it took to get there, meaning she would join the group any minute. He was pretty disappointed when Hana had texted this morning, saying that her mom had demanded to…what was it? ' Play dress up ' or something like that, which meant they couldn't meet up to walk together. "I don't think it will take too long."

Mina bounced in place and her eyes trailed across the people around them. "I'm so excited! This is the first time we've all really been able to hang out and really relax, ya know?" she hopped toward him, wrapping around Eijiro's arm and her smile beamed up at him. "Then we get to go to the Summer Camp and have smores and-"

"Relax, Mina, you might hurt yourself by getting too amped up." The two heard the familiar voice and turned to see the brunette walking toward them. "Besides, my dad is one of the main people planning this trip, meaning we need to think logically and shouldn't get our hopes up."

"Hana!" Mina squealed before launching herself at her friend, who just barely caught the both of them so they wouldn't fall. Before Hana could really even process the hug, Mina had detached herself from her only to circle her quickly. "You look adorable! Who knew you knew fashion?! Not that that's meant to be mean, you just struck me as someone who would dress for comfort and functionality while still being super cute, cause I mean, you are cute! Right, Kiri? Isn't Hana cute?" she smiled smugly at the redhead who was watching them…more specifically his soulmate.

His voice was dreamy when he replied, " Yeah …wait! I…I mean," Eijiro's face rapidly heated up and he rubbed sheepishly at the back of his neck with a chuckle.

Hana's cheeks tinted red also, as she fidgeted with a spot at the edge of her shirt. She felt awkward in these clothes, the top was twisted into a small knot along the bottom hem on the opposite side of where she was fidgeting, and the shorts were shorter than she had thought they would be – the higher-than-normal waist threw her off – and showed off her toned legs. She had to admit that she likes the outfit and the way it looked on her. Her mom had even threaded her hair into a fancy braid of some sort…something tail? She couldn't remember, but it pulled most of it away from her face, all but the shorter hair that framed her face – though the section that fell into her face in a similar way to her dad's hair did, wouldn't stay pulled back no matter what Sayuri did to it because it was just barely too short.

Just as she opened her mouth to thank Eijiro and Mina for the compliments, a few others from the class joined them.

"Hey, Hana!" Ochako smiled at her, Midoriya, Ida, and Tokoyami walking over behind her. "It looks like everyone is here, so…where do we want to go first?" her question wasn't aimed at anyone in particular, but Kaminari peaked out from behind Ida.

"How about we go inside first?"

Hana's bashfulness dropped instantly, and she rolled her eyes then smirked at him. "Oh, don't be a smartass, Kami." With that, she felt the comfort of being with her friends drift over her like a warm blanket, and she suddenly didn't care about feeling awkward about her outfit anymore.

The blonde's eyes lit up when he saw her, and he sent her a playful smirk. "Hey, hey, looking really cute for little 'ol me, Han-zawa?" Kaminari asked, tucking a hand into his pocket and running a hand over his hair like he was trying to be smooth.

Hana snorted, "I dress to make myself happy, Kami, no one else."

Ochako snickered while Mina laughed loudly and patted Kaminari's shoulder as she passed him. Eijiro laughed, too, but grinned down at Hana.

The group had just barely made it into the main space of the mall before people were taking second glances at them, some people even whispering. Apparently, people still remembered the sports festival and were excited to see the stars of the event. The students offered slightly uncomfortable smiles – or were happily waving at them in Kaminari and Mina's case – then moved further into the crowd. Jiro and Momo were the first ones to break off, saying they were going to get duffle bags. Kaminari and Ida started talking about needing shoes, and Eijiro glanced at the different groups as they spoke.

"Looks like everyone's lists are gunna be spread out, so why not split up? We can meet up in like…an hour or two?" The group agreed to his idea, then spread out into smaller groups.

Hana glanced up at him then down to her list. She really only needed a few of the smaller things.

"How much were you needing, girl?" Hana looked up to see Mina looking curiously at her list from over her shoulder, and noticed it was just the two girls and Eijiro. "Wow, you already have, like, everything!"

She chuckled lightly, "Yeah, part of it is having pro-parents, so we're pretty well prepared."

"Dude, both of your parents are pros?!" Eijiro's eyes lit up excitedly, "That's so awesome. Who's the other one?"

Mina couldn't help the giggle she gave at seeing how excited he was, and Hana smiled as the three started moving to their first destination.

"I got my copy quirk from my mom, even if her's is pretty different from mine." She explained, "Mom physically mimics people by coming into physical contact with them, even getting their voice. Ever heard of Ditto?"

This time it was Mina's turn to have her eyes sparkle, "You mean the Ditto is your mom?! Oh my God! I love her, and her hero outfit is so amazing!" Then she paused, "Wait…Ditto is really energized and personable, but…your dad is…"

"Not," Mina's comment was finished by Eijiro, who laughed after saying it, "Don't get me wrong, he's majorly dedicated to what he does and he's really manly, but I figure he's listed as an underground hero for a reason. Plus, he's always tired."

Hana sputtered, then laughed, "You're not wrong, Eijiro. Rationally, the two don't make sense, but soulmates complement each other and help each other to grow, right?"

While he grinned at his soulmate, Mina was beaming at the two happily. "Alright, enough about your parents, as weird as they are. Let's get to shopping! Kiri, you're gonna carry our bags for us right?" She grinned up at him mischievously while playing innocent.

Eijiro grinned as well, then smacked his hardened fists together with a determined look a second later, "I wouldn't be very manly if I couldn't handle a few shopping bags! Bring it!"

Mina cheered happily, which made Hana laugh. The three students managed to gather their supplies quickly and were on their last item when they heard sirens. They all glanced at each other before rushing out of the store.

"What's going on? Is it a villain?" Mina asked curiously, each of them letting their eyes graze over the situation and letting their training take its course. They had to be on guard, though they couldn't legally use their quirks, they could still defend themselves physically or help with any rescue if needed.

Just as they were about to search for other members of the class, a police officer moved to stand on a table, shouting loud enough for people in the general area to hear him.

"Apologies to you fine people, but the mall is going to be shutting down all stores! A dangerous villain was spotted in the vicinity and has yet to be found. We ask that you calmly make your way to the nearest exit, and be sure to notify an officer if you may have seen any suspicious activity!"

The three students tensed, flashes of the USJ incident crossing their minds.

"We should find the others," Hana said pretty calmly despite the fact that her heart was hammering in her chest as her anxiety started to kick in, "Even if it has to be outside the mall. We shouldn't have separated in the first place."

"Yeah, let's…let's do that." Eijiro's voice drifted off for a second then he halfheartedly smiled at the girls, though Mina was the only one to give him one back. Hana was nervously eyeing the crowd that was filing out of the mall and chattering about which villain it could be, there were even some people that were laughing. She didn't understand why they were so relaxed for a moment, but she suddenly realized that it was only certain people that seemed truly concerned. People were so used to the comfort that heroes had brought to civilians, that they didn't even feel the need to be worried over a villain attack anymore.

A warm, calloused hand wrapped around her own, bringing her attention to Eijiro with a small squeeze to her fingers. Again he smiled at her, but now it was more questioning, somehow.

"Just kinda weird to actually see the difference in reactions." She motioned toward the crowd, "You know? Before UA, we would probably be just like the majority of them: excited, but now…now we've fought against villains ourselves."

He hummed, "Yeah, kinda crazy, right?"

"At least we're ready to kick butt when we're the pros protecting the excited kids!" Like one could expect from Mina, she was there with contagious positivity, drawing an actual, though determined, grin from Hana and Eijiro.

She was right, next it was their turn to be the protectors.

.

"Due to recent events, we have had to change the location of our trip. Though it was a pain to do, it was truly necessary. Our new location is to remain a closely kept secret until we get there." Mr. Aizawa announced from the front of the class, sounding more tired than normal. Thinking back to last night, I remembered how late he had stayed awake looking through his paperwork for this trip.

"You should've killed that extra," Katsuki grumbled, not bothering to turn to Midoriya when he spoke to him.

"Katsuki, leave him alone," I sighed, but still turned in my desk a little, "He couldn't use his quirk there anyway. He would've gotten into major trouble."

"Tch, what do I care? Should'a broke all his bones to stop that guy, save us all some trouble." He retorted.

"K-kacchan!"

I groaned at the two, over it already, and turned back around to send Mr. Aizawa an eye roll when he sent me a look. I mean…Katsuki was over the top with his reaction, but really…doing something about the League of Villains, getting even one of them off the street, would be a good thing, right?

After that announcement, the day seemed to fly by, and the next thing I knew we were all headed home for the summer break.

A little while after getting home, though, my phone buzzed on my desk where I had left it to faceplant into my bed, and I looked up at it curiously. I had set certain tones for the boys, so I knew it wasn't them trying to text.

"Who…" mumbling, I then groaned and pushed myself up off the bed. I took the few steps to my desk, then tapped the phone screen only to see Momo had sent a group text. Just as I picked up my phone, it buzzed again…and again, and again. "Holy crap, what's going on?"

.

Creator: I know the summer break just started, but would you girls be interested in a get-together? I was thinking about asking Mr. Aizawa if we could use the school pool.

.

AlienQueen: heck yes!

A girls' swim party sounds awesome!

Im gonna bring the super cute bikini I just bought.

.

Ocha: That sounds really fun Momo!

.

Froppy: Sounds alright to me.

.

Kyokyo: Yeah I guess -_-

.

Me: Im up for it, maybe, but I'm not super comfortable in a swimsuit.

.

Snowball: oh come on you party poopers. You're both hot & this is girls only from what I gathered.

No pervy grapes allowed.

.

Me: I'm not hot, I promise. Also there's that scar…

.

Snowball: & I look like I fell asleep in the sun for a few days too long. Whats ya point?

.

I was so glad I was at home at the moment because at her text I laughed embarrassingly loudly.

.

AlienQueen: omg! Lmao

.

Kyokyo: pfft well then lol

.

Ocha: None of you look bad, honestly!

Besides, we change in front of each other every day at school. Why does a swimsuit make it different?

.

Me: I guess you're right.

But don't expect anything special

.

AlienQueen: gimme your mom's # then you'll show up looking super cute again!

.

Me: not gunna let that go huh?

.

AlienQueen: heck no she's my idol. I mean…DITTO?!

Like…she's adorable and cool at the same time

.

Well, that did it. The group chat updated all at once, making my poor phone buzz violently.

.

Ocha: wait, what?!

.

Snowball: GURL ditto …shoulda seen that

oof to me

.

Froppy: That makes sense.

.

Creator: You definitely look a lot like your mother, Hana.

I admire her! She is a big inspiration to young girls because of her respectable behavior.

.

I snorted at Momo's comment.

.

Me: Yeah yeah, she's…well something lol

She's super girly, and bubbly…it's exhausting. I'm sure she'd enjoy the praise tho, she adores nice comments about her.

.

Creator: Does this weekend work for everyone for the swimming get-together?

.

They all quickly okayed the plan, and I smiled fondly at my screen as I pressed send.

.

Me: this will be great, see you guys then!

.

I may have been excited, but I was also dreading bringing it up with mom. Just as I figured, she ended up going crazy, demanding a spontaneous shopping trip for a swimsuit. I was pretty happy with our mutually decided tankini only because I knew I was going to be around the girls that, like Ochako said, had all seen each other in our underwear that typically covers the same amount of skin. When it finally reached the weekend, however, I was a little happy yet disappointed when dad had told me to let the others know we were required to wear the school uniform swimsuits. Now I don't think I'll feel so uncomfortable, yet I feel like it's a bit of a waste to not wear the suit mom just got me. I'll never tell her this, cause she would gush about me actually wanting to be girly finally.

Ew…no.

I managed to meet Mina and Kyouka in front of the school, smiling cheerfully then we went directly toward the locker room to change.

"I'm still sad that we can't wear our own swimsuits," Mina whined, sliding her arms into the straps of the uniform swimsuit.

"Yes, well, we are on school property, so it does make sense." Momo chimed, already dressed and passing out towels for each of us.

"Eh, they're just being snooty. It's not like bikinis are so much smaller than most hero suits," Yukime complained, then looked down at her arm for a moment, deep in thought.

I reached over and rested a hand on her forearm, breaking her from her thoughts, "Come on, a little swimming and relaxing for once seems pretty nice, right?"

She smiled and nodded, then we followed the group out to the pool. It was such a perfect day for swimming, too, since it was pretty hot and thankfully there was a nice, gentle breeze blowing as well. I almost wanted to just post up by the corner of the pool and take a nap at the edge. Sliding my feet into the water after sitting at the poolside, my eyes slid closed for a moment of contented bliss. I could still hear the other girls talking with each other as some stretched while others were slowly climbing in like me, and the typical summer sound of cicadas and other summer bugs in the distance added to the calm atmosphere.

That blissful peace was suddenly broken by the doors leading to the pool bursting open.

"Ah! Apologies! I did not realize you ladies had already requested time to use the school pool." All of us looked up to see Ida leading a group of the boys toward the water, and I felt my cheeks heat up. My arms wrapped around myself instinctively, but I still tried to chant in my head that these swimsuits were totally appropriate.

"It should be fine, how about we take half of the pool and you guys take the other half?" Ochako suggested, and the few guys agreed. Thankfully, the ones that joined us were all the very respectful boys in our class.

After a minute or two, the rest of the girls had made their way either fully into the water or sat along the edge like me. Yukime, who chose to sit beside me, was telling me about her summer so far when the doors opened again to reveal Kaminari, Mineta, and Midoriya.

I felt the air cool around me and had just turned to look over at Yukime only for her to immediately slide into the water and vanish. I chuckled lightly at her antics only to break into laughter as my friend burst out of the water by the door in a large wave of water that splashed directly on the three guys. I waved to Midoriya as his mind tried to catch up to what had just happened, and then rolled my eyes at Kaminari when he made some comment about the school uniform suits we wore.

"Looks like everyone is here except Kirishima and Bakugo, huh?" Mina's sudden voice made me jump, and she giggled at my reaction before continuing while swimming closer, "bet you wish that purple-haired guy could be here too! I mean…I wish my boy could make it, but I know he wouldn't be allowed, which is a bummer, am I right?"

"How are you so quiet even when you're in the water?" I complained jokingly, making us both smile and laugh.

"Why aren't you in yet?" she asked, crossing her arms and resting against the edge. When I shrugged, however, she smirked. "Guess I gotta drag this cat into the water unwillingly!"

My arm was grabbed then my whole body jolted as I was pulled into the cool water so suddenly. A halfhearted glare was sent at Mina while we were both under the water then I pushed myself up toward the surface, my hair wrapping around my face just as I broke the surface.

"Ugh, I knew I should've braided this shit," Running my hand through from the underside of the veil of hair covering my face, I was able to quickly swipe the mess out of the way just in time to make eye contact with Eijiro who was stood next to Katsuki as the blonde tried valiantly to storm over to Midoriya only to be held back by our manly soulmate. I felt my cheeks heat up and for some unknown reason, an awkward instinct kind of took over which led to a small squeak before I ducked back under the water.

Of course those two would be here, they are part of the class after all. Don't know what I expected. I really need to get a handle on myself.

While my mind was occupied with being ridiculous, a section of cold water seemed to appear out of nowhere under my feet. I thought nothing of it in my distraction, only to jolt as the cold solidified, then proceeded to push me up and launch me from the water while Yukime cackled loudly from the side of the pool. I thankfully was launched at a good angle and was able to land in the water, despite the fact that I was basically starfish shaped as I flailed in the air for a second before instinct had me curl into a ball. The splash was pretty impressive, I do have to admit, and a few of the girls cried out fake scores for it once I broke the surface again.

"That was completely unnecessary, though slightly fun, Yukime," I laughed while smoothing my hair back again.

"Correction, that was dangerous, and has left a large section of ice in the swimming pool!" Ida walked over, hand chopping the air then motioning toward the section of ice that we could see protruding from the water.

Todoroki suddenly spoke up, offering to thaw it, though Midoriya had to remind him to wait for everyone to get out of the water and that he would need to cool it off once he was done thawing the ice.

Yukime huffed, rolling her eyes, "It was just a little ice, no big deal," she grumbled while I chuckled and climbed from the water along with the others while Todoroki quickly heated then cooled the pool.

"Hello, ladies~."

We both looked between us in time to see Kami tossing an arm over each of our shoulders as he sat between us.

"Whatcha want blondie?" Yukime pulled his arm off of her with a chuckle, but I couldn't see the harm in it, though I did notice the slight buzz from his quirk being unconsciously active, thankfully only minutely.

"Hey, Kami," I greeted him with a shoulder nudge and a smile.

He gave me a grin then turned to Yukime with a pout. "It hurts me when you're not nice, Himura. Hanzawa, babe, you warm my soul!" After his comment his head fell over to nuzzle against mine, making me chuckle from the tickle of the light static.

I was just about to make a comment about him accidentally using his quirk when Katsuki shouted from the other side of the pool.

"Oi, Dunceface!" Kaminari jumped and froze, though I could feel his hand slowly lifting off of my shoulder. "Get the fuck over here, we're gunna race."

Kami glanced at me nervously, then over to Katsuki, asking "Wait, we or...all the guys?"

"Looks like all the guys," the response came from Yukime as she pointed to the group of guys that were lining up at the edge of their half of the pool.

"Thank God," Kami muttered under his breath then left us as quickly as he had joined.

We stared at the boys as the first group lined up for the race, and weren't surprised in the least that quirks ended up being used, much less who was the first one to use his.

"Your mans is a cheater, Hana," Yukime snorted as Katsuki argued about his use of quirk with the other guys.

I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "First, he's not my…'mans', we're friends...maybe? Whatever. Second, no one really stated that quirks couldn't be used, though I do feel like it should have been said because not everyone's quirks really help with swimming." I paused to think over the variety of quirks the boys all had, only to be pulled from my thoughts almost immediately as Yukime started snickering.

"Wait...wait would Kirishima sink ?! Because he becomes all...rock, right? Or does he just," she held up her hand, creating a small chunk of ice, then dropped it into the pool only for it to bob back to the surface moments later.

"I, uh," I stared at the ripples in the water for the few seconds they were there before the boys' 'swimming' caused bigger motion, thus destroying the small rings. "Logically…you would think he would sink, but I would also think that he'd have enough sense to stop using his quirk so he wouldn't drown."

At my completely serious response to her random question, Yukime burst into loud laughter. "Shit, leave it up to you and maybe Mido to think about that more than you should. Bet he floats like a strange log!"

"Now that's ridiculous and you know it!" I looked over at Mina who was a couple of feet away sitting on a bench, "Mina, you think Eijiro sinks or floats when hardened?"

My question apparently caught her off guard, because she sputtered before laughing. "That's totally a Himura question, right? Girl, he totally sinks, has to ! Wait, let me ask! Kiri!"

"No, wait! Mina, it's fine." I waved my hands around semi-frantically.

"What's up, Mina?" He called back from his place at the far end of the pool.

"When you go all solid do you sink in the water, or float? Oh~! Can we test it?!"

Laughter broke out all around us, and mine and his faces both flushed. "Hey, I'm not a science experiment! But...I don't actually...know…" he suddenly stared at the water with a strange, possibly even curious expression. That's when I saw Kami and Sero's eyes light up mischievously.

"Hey, don't even think about it!" I called over at the two who were mid-stride with their arms outstretched like they were going to push him in. "That is a dangerous thing to do in general, more so when there isn't a teacher aka pro around to help. We don't need to risk a classmate's health that way."

"You just don't want to risk your boyfriend !" Kami called back followed by a loud laugh and was joined by a few of the others with quieter chuckles.

I, however, could actually feel my entire face turning dark red because it was heating up so much. "I'm not… well, I mean, I am but… we-we're not…"

Yukime snorted beside me, though I could feel a cool mist drift from her hand that she was fanning herself with. I was thankful for her discreet way of cooling me off. Mina, however, gasped in dramatic shock.

"Wait! You two aren't actually dating?!" She shook her head then fixed Eijiro with an exasperated look.

"Tsk, can we just get back to the fucking races? I wanna wipe the floor with you idiots!" Of course, Katsuki had to snap everyone back to the task at hand. "Half-n-half, you and that shitty Deku, get ready for me to win! I wanna beat you for real this time Icy-Hot!"

"You already did, though?" Todoroki commented blandly, despite the fact that he was lining up along the edge of the pool, getting situated to start the race as well.

The three leaned over, and I could almost feel the crackle of their quirks all starting up from my place near the opposite end of the water. Everyone was waiting on pins and needles, but when Ida signaled for them to go, they simply fell directly into the water with a splash.

"Wait, what?!" Kami looked on in confusion. "What just happened?"

"Why are you guys just flopping into the water like that?!" Sero threw his arms in the air.

"It's five pm, pack it up."

Everyone jumped and some spun around to see Mr. Aizawa stepping away from the doors into the school. His eyes were glowing red and his hair flowed with his quirk's energy.

Immediately, some of the guys protested, and I couldn't keep myself from joining in. I mean, it was just getting good!

"Oh come on Dad, just five more minutes?"

His eyes snapped over to me, still glowing and very much intimidating. "We're still on school property, Aizawa, so it's Mr. Aizawa to you. I won't repeat myself, though." He then left us to grab anything we may have brought with us and leave as well.

Sero nudged me with his elbow as I passed by the guys, and gave me a grin, "Nice try with your dad, Hana, but he's just a big grouch, huh?"

"More so lately." I stopped and shrugged. "The spontaneous planning for the summer camp has him on edge, I guess."

"I would think so," Yukime added beside me, and we three walked down the short distance to the changing rooms, "I mean, the League has shown up twice already, and targeted this class specifically."

Sero groaned, "Well, I just wish I could enjoy this trip like you ladies will. Us test failures are going to have it rough I can just feel it!"

"For sure, Mr. Aizawa really made it sound like hell."

I shrugged. "I don't envy you guys, but I do wish they would give you some relaxation time."

He agreed then waved before turning into the boys' locker room while Yukime and I went to the girls'.
