The True Me

A poem from KAGOME'S point of view (woooow! From me you'd never expect it, right?)

It's Kagome's version of the poem "Never and forever—Frozen in Time"

(NOTE—the first line of each stanza is in italics)

I do not own Inuyasha or Kagome or Kikyou

The sun is really needs… to shine;

My world is split between …two times.

I look up at the moon… so high—

And wonder if it's right

What you see in me…is her

Not truly seeing me…it hurts

But I can clearly see

You love her, not me.

But I still sit… and wait

Always dreaming of… that day

When you can look into… my eyes

And for once see me inside

Staying here's the only way

That I… that I may

Be important … to you

I'll never go through

(And go back to the time that I'm meant to be in)

I'll be waiting… forever

Will you love the true me?… never

But I'll always wait… for you

There's nothing else to do

I'm waiting; I need you

To keep me warm.

When you're looking at me

Your love's for her

But this self…the true me

Still loves you too

That's why I can't live on

Without you
