Ch.2

Silver City, Year 2005

Still Wes' POV.

I finished crying the instant that you left

And I can't remember where when or how

And I banished ev'ry mem'ry

You and I ever made

"No way! You're getting married?!?" asked Eric.

"No need to make such a big deal out of it," I told my friend.

"I thought you'd never fall in love again, especially after-"

"I don't want to think about it, Eric," I cut him off. How could he think that I'd doubt my decision?

At the beach…

It brought back so many memories to me. The first time I met Jen and the other rangers, and the time she left to the future, she told me that she loved me. It was also the place I last saw her, leaving for the future, two years ago. Now, here with Krystal, it feels so different from being with Jen on this very same beach.

I see Krystal look at her engagement ring. The one I gave her. It reminds me of the countless times Jen would look at hers. Dammit, why can't I get her out of my head?

"I can't believe we'll be married in a week," said Krystal, my fiancée.

"Yeah," I replied.

"Is something wrong?" asked Krystal.

"No," I told her. She leaned closer to me. It felt all too familiar. But I didn't know why.

But when you touch me like this
And you hold me like that
I just have to admit
That it's all coming back to me
When I touch you like this
And I hold you like that
It's so hard to believe but
It's all coming back to me

When she kissed me, it suddenly came back. Something I thought I put away forever. Something that I had thought of never coming back…All those, feelings, all the emotions, all that time spent together, fighting together.

"Wes, are you okay?" asked Krystal.

Yeah, I'm fine. Listen, I'll talk to you later." I told her. I then went on my motorcycle and headed into town.
