Waiting
I sit here and stare into the nothingness
I am waiting
Kagome lay on her bed looking at the ceiling. He'll come for her, he always does. She let out a sigh and used her remote to turn on some music.
My music is playing, but I don't hear it, not really
I am waiting
She strained her ears trying to see if she could hear him outside. Yet she heard nothing but the wind rustling the leaves on the trees.
The sun starts to set outside my window; my room seems to be getting darker
I am waiting
It was getting dark, but Kagome knew he would come. 'He'll be here any minute now…' Kagome thought to herself.
30 minutes has passed and I haven't moved from this spot
I am waiting
Kagome stifled a yawn and groaned. She stretched on her bed and went back to waiting patently. The only movement is my chest going up and down, to the steady rhythm of my breathing
I am waiting
Kagome worked on slowing her breath to make it look like she was sleeping. She listened to her own breathing and stared at one spot on the wall.
My eyes slide over to the clock, 10:38, I go back to staring into the darkness
I am waiting
She looked at the clock. 'Great he's late, he should have been here already.' She let out a little sigh.
My eyes get heavy and begin to close slowly
I am waiting
Kagome blinked. 'Wow, that was a long blink.' Finally she just closed her eyes to 'rest' them.
I start to doze off and dream; yet in this dream you still are not here
I am waiting for something that will never come, but even now…
I am waiting
