Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or any of these references in here, just as much as I do not own the poem Time Does Not Bring Relief.

Author's Note: This is reloaded due to stupidity on my part in not realizing I still had the "no anonymous reviews" button clicked. I hope that this time things work out better. And, just to let everyone know, this first chapter is no reflection of how future chapters will be, this one was written during one of my classes with a teacher over my shoulder. So just let me know what you think. Review, I'll try and get another one out. Now go on and read it!

Time does not bring relief; you all have lied
Who told me time would ease me of my pain!
I miss him in the weeping of the rain;
I want him at the shrinking of the tide;
The old snows melt from every mountainside,
And last year's leaves are smoke in every lane;
But last year's bitter loving must remain
Heaped on my heart, and my old thoughts abide.
There are a hundred places where I fear
To go, -so with his memory they brim.
And entering with relief some quiet place
Where never fell his foot or shone his face
I say, "There is no memory of him here!"
And so stand stricken, so remembering him.
-Time Does Not Bring Relief
By Edna St. Vincent Millay

Pain is hard to get over, it is hard to forget and it is hard to accept. Losing someone loved is hard to deal with, especially when it has happened so many times before in your whole life. It's a curse, not a gift, and it doesn't go away. The pain of knowing that maybe you really are the reason why they all have to go away...

He gripped the body of the one he loved, allowing the blood from the wounds to intermingle with the blood on his clothing. He had let another one be taken, he had let this happen. The boy pulled the body up until the two faces were touching, wishing for just one more second with the one he loved.

On the other side of the bloody field the surviving few stood watching, wishing they could go and help the boy who was dealing with such a tragic loss, but none could feel the bravery to comfort him. Two among the crowd stood with their arms interlocked. The girl pulled away from the boy that had been holding her and she tried to run to the field but was stopped by a grim looking man.

"Now is not the time, Ms. Granger," he said. "Just let them be alone..."

Author's Note: Well, it is just the prologue after all. Is that a good cliffhanger? It'll get better, I promise. Read, review, please don't flame, just constructively critisize. More to come soon that should better reveal the plot. Of course at this point, I think anything will reveal the plot. Trust me, this will be better...
